Re: Jab’s Builds (Tiger Shark! Orka! Stingray! Namora!)

But yeah, I love the idea of a magical lucha mask that grants powers to its wearers as it's passed down through the generations..which makes me remember Mucha Lucha was a thing (does anyone else remember that show? It sure was weird.)

Oh yeah, I remember hearing about that. That was..certainly a thing.

Re: Jab’s Builds (Tiger Shark! Orka! Stingray! Namora!)

Now I'm imagining how awesome a legitimate crossover with El Santo and Spiderman would be. Because luchadores are awesome.

Re: Jab's Rifts Builds (Tattooed Men! Splugorth!)

They kinda remind me of Hutts, but on a much bigger scale.

Re: Jab’s Builds (The Fathom Five! Tiger Shark! Peak! Stingray!)

Funny thing is, after reading up on Force, I was reading some old Iron Man issues and he popped up. Because of that, I can confirm that he has some kind of Energy Blast (electromagnetic, maybe?) power in his armor, as well the EMP generator.

Re: Jab's Rifts Builds (Cyber-Knights! Xiticix! Rifts Atlantis!)

I was gonna make a joke about the DC Tattooed Man, but..I got nothing.

Re: Jab’s Builds (Destiny! Attuma! Andromeda! Llyra! The Fathom Five!)

I also just found out that there was an episode of Thundercats where Snarf manages to become.."Snarf-Ra". Yes, really. Aside from questioning how that even works, why would the Ancient Spirits of Evil just empower anybody who says the incantation?

Re: Jab’s Builds (Pumyra! Bengali! Lynx-O! Mumm-Ra! Namor Builds!)

And here I'm just wondering if Byrrah's going to get a build in this set ever since you mentioned him in the "B" names. (And I only know him because he was a boss in Marvel Ultimate Alliance)

Re: Jab’s Builds (Panthro! Cheetara! The Mutants! Pumyra!)

After watching the first episode, I couldn't help but notice how Jaga's body just kinda suddenly disintergrates when he dies, only his robes being left behind..He even becomes a ghost afterwards! That feels very "Obi-Wan" to me.

Re: Jab’s Builds (Panthro! Cheetara! The Mutants! Pumyra!)

Funnily enough, weren't the Thundercats toys made by LJN of all people? Which makes it even more bizarre that the show never got a NES game. Though maybe that's a good thing..

Re: Jab’s Builds (Bryan Fury! Azazel! ThunderCats- HOOOOOOOOOO!!!)

The multiple mentions of Ghostbusters got me thinking..There's probably multiple builds of the original Ghostbusters team out there (though Real Ghostbusters would be a fun set), but then there's Filmation Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters (which is the one that I actually grew up watching on TV...

Re: Jab’s Builds (Bryan Fury! Azazel! ThunderCats- HOOOOOOOOOO!!!)

Except sometimes... and very randomly... the four mutants were leaders of armys of virtual clones of themselves... Reminds me of Transformers and how they’d often fill out the ranks of the Decepticons with random palette swaps in the background. It’s a very “video gamey” concept to have tons of clo...

Re: Jab’s Builds (Bryan Fury! Azazel! ThunderCats- HOOOOOOOOOO!!!)

I don't even recall if I've seen a single episode of the show, myself (the show ended before I was born and I don't think ever saw any repeats), so what I know of it comes from pop-cultural osmosis and the internet.

Re: Jab’s Builds (Nina! Feng Wei! C. Marduk! Bryan Fury! Azazel!)

What's also very amusing is that the intros to Thundercats and Silverhawks are interchangable. Look up Thunderhaws and Silvercats on YouTube... it's rather neat how seamlessly they swap. And both shows got Marvel comics based on them! And thinking about it..Marvel's Darkhawk looks a lot like the Si...

Re: Jab’s Builds (Nina! Feng Wei! C. Marduk! Bryan Fury! Azazel!)

Heh Id argue Bionic 6 and Mask and Silverhawks had the best intros but hell this was the 80s so theres so many good ones to choose from you cant lose :D You can hardly go wrong with M.A.S.K. since it was composed by Shuki Levy . And since Ares brought up Spiral Zone, I can't not bring up that theme...
