God, the artist must have loved drawing that. He's really power-walking.

Re: Modern Comics & Relationships Between Heroes

I, too, find it strange and alarming when female characters like each other. Especially when they're the same age and have things in common. It's unnatural!

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Stalin! Avengers Builds! Wonder Man!)

It's funny, in Wonder Man's absence the role of "strong guy who jobs to make the villain look serious" has gone to... Thor.

(And if we're going to talk about his costumes, Simon's red jacket and shades is the best one by a mile)

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

Comic writers should be encouraged to focus on morality. On the idea of Superman stopping a teenager from committing suicide. Captain America punching Hitler is only political insofar as it's saying "This hero is American and is defending America from the country that America is currently at war wi...

Re: MnM 3e - Hunter the Reckoning (Interest Check)

It sounds interesting to me, too. PL 5 is still pretty impressive for "normal" people, so would PCs be mildly supernatural in some way? Paramilitary?

Re: Power Talk: Discussing the Effectiveness of Effects

Reading others' intentions already exists, it's called INSIGHT. And it is an awareness skill. Social sending aka presence is different than social reading aka awareness. Presence is the interaction ability. Every human interaction can be characterized as deception, intimidation or persuasion. (Or i...

Re: Trade-Off Limits and Toughness-Defense Shifts

Defense-shifting would be more of a viable choice if attacks that targeted defense and fortitude or will were more common. Unfortunately, a lot of non-toughness effects like psychic blasts and sonic waves don't really have FX that suggest they can be physically dodged. A lot of them are stopped by v...

Re: Trade-Off Limits and Toughness-Defense Shifts

Newly-empowered characters don't necessarily need to have low attack and defense values, either. Speed and coordination can be enhanced just like strength and toughness, after all.

Re: What If ...?

You've got me curious, now, where do you see conventional weapons measuring up compared to these characters? About the same as the ranks in the core book?

This is also assuming that those discs weigh 50 tons apiece, and it's not the entire stack that weighs 50 tons.

Re: What If ...?

Question: When you compare the Marvel characters' early showings to other characters, are you going by their early showings too, or are you going by where you think they'd feel right in a shared universe? When you give Saber and and Xena the same strength as Valkyrie, for example, is that how strong...

We're talking about this again? Well, he used charity money for personal gain. Paid a two million dollar fine for it. That's pretty darn wrong.
