Re: Jab's Animal Builds (Dog Builds!)

Funny little trivia about Labrador retrivers and Newfoundland dogs. Both species have some unique elements that makes them suited for operating in water. They both have a layer of fats under the skin, similar to seals, making them very resistant to low temperatures and their interdigital membranes a...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Mae! Pelle! Earnest! Guntz! Zylo! Tao!)

My only experience with the Shining series was one of the games on the Saturn (I think it was Shining the Holy Ark ), which was completely bonkers in terms of character. I'm glad to see it was a theme of the series. Interesting- I've never played any other types of games in the Shining world- many ...

Re: Jab's Animal Builds (Dog Builds!)

A friend of mine summarized life with a big guard dog (specifically a Tibetan Mastiff) as: "He's the sweetest thing you can possibly imagine, but you need to understand that he's in charge of who can enter from that door... and god help you if you ever make a child cry."

Re: Solar's Build Thread

Out of all the western-superhero inspired manga of recent years One Punch Man remains one of the most bizarre to me. On one hand I can absolutely see that the author loves the genre and he's not afraid of making a pun of it, while still remaining very faithful to its core. For example, Satoru/Mumen ...

Re: Dog Builds

Can Dogs beat Wolves in a fight? Generally speaking, no. But it's hard to give a final say, as most injured Wolves will simply run. Of course, searching for this on the internet is always tricky, as every forum is full of giant idiots, wannabe geniuses and "Internet Badasses" who jump to conclusion...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Queens Nehalennia & Badiane! Snow Princess Kaguya!)

The roster choices really are odd, in hindsight. (Splinter not playable in any of the three games is particularly odd) Splinter is nearly always there with April in "Kidnapped by the bad guys" spots, I think. Plus even in the cartoon he only rarely got directly involved- he was so O.P. that he woul...

Re: WAIFU WARZ - QUICKSTARTER - Sagitta (PL8)

I hope you're talking just about the MCU, because otherwise you're so wrong. The entire point of Clint us that he's just a guy with bow and arrows, who is so insanely good tha he can take down the likes of Iron Man with it. Im with wood here even in the MCU Clint has a purpose. hes the humanity of ...

Re: She-Ra: The Princesses of Power (Series Overview)

This series is so weird for me. The art style seemed like a complete turn off, but it managed to make every character looks unique. It carries its politics on the sleeve and it manages to be extremely entertaining and well-written nonetheless. Some of the characters gets flanderized constantly and t...

Re: WAIFU WARZ - QUICKSTARTER - Sagitta (PL8)

Honestly Hawkeye was always the most forgettable Avenger to me to the point I have no knowledge about him other than he's the guy who uses a bow. Not even the stupid trick bow and arrow set like Green Arrow. He's basically a modern soldier who for some reasons uses a Bow and Arrow. ...okay? I hope ...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Scarlet Witch! Quicksilver! Salem's Seven!)

Young Avengers was one of the few legacy books from Marvel that worked. It was no masterpiece, but I think it was legitimately entertaining and there were both enough references and some good chemistry between these new characters and the old team. Seeing everyone telling Kate Bishop that she should...

Re: Login

ive noticed lately that there seems to be an issue with hitting links that travel between pages on the website logging one out for example one clicks a link on an OOC thread to a character on a rolecall thread. the rolecall thread page will be logged out but the OOC page will remain logged in. It m...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Wasp! Scott Lang! Eric O’Grady! Ultron!)

I don't know why this jumped into my head but here it is: Ultron's fantasy analog is a Lich. He's nearly impossible to hurt, has all sort of magic that he can throw at heroes and can have hordes of minions at varying levels of power. And even if you can hurt him, you can't kill him unless you find ...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Hank Pym! The Wasp! Scott Lang!)

Hey, nice post :)! I agree with your take here. The "regular guy" heroes are terrific for things like this. I can see Scott as a one-off on the Avengers or something, and could be a solid "regular guy's POV" character, but he's often best as a lower-key hero with a "everybody's second-best pal" thi...
