My issue with modern wrestling.

My era of wrestling really started with the 80's. Where I had fun with all the wild characters. All the wild unpredictable action. The pure excitement with it. It was fun. Beautiful. Today I can't go anywhere online without people talking about the behind-the-scenes stuff. Quite frankly? None of tha...

Godzilla vs Kong

Because I am a huge Kaiju fan, I signed up for HBO MAX and streamed Godzilla vs. Kong this morning.

I'm going to avoid spoilers. But this movie did not disappoint. It had plenty of Kaiju action. It was a monster mash from the very beginning. And the story was rock solid. It was very satisfying.

Re: ICONS

I read the first edition of the Icons game, solely because Steve Kenson’s name was on the cover. Given his track record with Silver Age Sentinels , Mutants & Masterminds , and Freedom City , and DC Adventures I had high expectations... and he met them. I wasn’t quite willing to give up M&M3...

ICONS

In addition to buying every official Green Ronin book put out for M&M, I have been following and supporting just about every book with rules for ICONS that has been put out. My story with Icons started about a year after my last superhero campaign fell apart. I suffered extreme system burnout an...

Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

If I had unlimited cash? I would approach the current person in ownership of every property Rob Liefeld made as an Independent, and buy those properties out of spite. Then do as Disney has done with so many other properties and just sit on them. Not allowing them to be licensed or used in any way. J...

Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

Grant Morrison is also another writer I despise. All he does is tear heroes down. And write stories about writing stories. Rather than actually doing anything positive with the characters, he is assigned to write for. Why on earth is his behavior being rewarded? He's not actually doing the job he ha...

Re: The most petty thing you'd do as a comics creator

It'll never happen under Marvel's current management. It would require admitting that there needs course correcting, and that would mean someone would have to accept blame for nearly a decades worth of mistakes. You mean, like hiring Bendis in the first place? The man is a plague on the superhero g...

Blue Oyster Cult: The Symbol Remains

I got this album yesterday from Amazon. It was released Friday. It's been nearly 20 years since the last Blue Oyster Cult release. And this album was definitely worth the wait. It's everything fans could want from an album and more. And yes, it has plenty of cowbell. if you are a fan of BOC, The Sym...

The tragedy of Rose Tico

I think Kelly Marie Tran was one of the real gems that stood out in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Not because of the flaws in her character. But because of the wasted potential that resulted from a movie that was overly rushing every aspect of it. It's my feeling that the movie didn't let us to get to k...

Bill & Ted Face the Music

I just bought and watched this movie on Amazon Prime Video. I had a $10 credit. So the movie only cost me $14.99. A good solid deal that definitely was worth it to me. This movie was a good ending to the Bill & Ted trilogy. It really delivered in every way. It felt good. It did good. It was ever...

Re: Worst pro wrestlers other than Dino Bravo

Joey Ryan has been accused of 17 accounts of sexual assault. Impact Wrestling has dismissed him. He has closed up his own wrestling promotion. Is being scrubbed from all of AEW media, And issued a public apology. Which to me isn't enough.

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

Actually, the Distributors that DC is using together cover the entire United States. They have one for each coast. With each of them meeting somewhere in the middle. So there is no loss of coverage at all for the United States. Midtown Comics owns one of the Distributors. And they have been coordina...

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

DC pulled the plug. Ended the Diamond monopoly in one swift stroke. Now it is up to the remaining comic book stores to see if they can survive without that monopoly. If they can weather the short term losses, this means that Diamond and the industry as a whole will soon be forced to reduce cover pri...
