the idea is you block incoming attacks and then counter, something that can't be done right in a one-move-per-action RPG). Why not write that up as Deflection with the Reflection extra, or maybe have Deflection with a linked basic unarmed attack? Reflection uses the other guy's attack instead of yo...

Re: Interest Thread- The Jabverse
Kreuzritter told me to have an "Elevator Pitch" for the game. So I narrowed it down to the summed-up version: In a world with a Justice League/Avengers, you're The Defenders. A rich guy/super-enthusiast is backing you, and now you have to prove yourselves in a world that's cynical about t...

Re: Tale of the six Warriors (OOC)
My god, enemies in a TTRPG that withdraw when it becomes obvious they're outmatched. Props, Camus, that was a good fight scene.

some screwy defenses (he can't quite go "Immobile" since it doesn't work as well in M&M terms- the idea is you block incoming attacks and then counter, something that can't be done right in a one-move-per-action RPG). I had a similar problem recently, my solution was Reaction Damage, ...

Hama HP 1, LP 4 : Victorious ~≈~≈~≈~≈~≈~≈~≈~≈~≈~≈~ Hama roared in triumph as Imagawa's men turned tail, a loud deep cry that seemed entirely too powerful for a woman her size. She walked forward, a grin splitting her face and a bounce in her step, gathering with the others. "Lead, lead. It wil...

Re: Interest Thread- The Jabverse
I am SO interested, it's unbelievable. I've already started plans to start sabotaging everyone else so I can get in. Did I mention how much BGIII talks trash about your builds on other threads? And I mean, Ken has often intimated to me about how much he thinks that the Wall should be on t...

Re: Interest Thread- The Jabverse
I might be in. Depends on if I can cut this 8/160 down in a way that doesn't feel wrong.
Might just give up and brew a 9/135 though, only getting 15PP for being down a PL just doesn't feel worthwhile unless you're minmaxing really stupidly hard.

Re: The Jabverse: An O.C. Thread (The Infinite Sadness, Vampires)
It would be hilarious if a "typical" vampire came in from another dimension or whatever, only to be completely at a loss as to why nobody takes him seriously. Heh :). Yeah, they'd be all like legitimately whining about their curse forcing them to take the blood of the innocent, and everyo...

Re: Jab's Builds! (THUNDRA!!!! Swords! Katanas! Nunchucks! Axes!)
Yeah, the only scythes I've ever seen that looked semi-plausible were the sci-fi ones where the blade is made of energy. The problems with a scythe are based in the advantages of a large blade. A large blade lets you sweep out large sections of hurt, which is great stuff. But for a 90 degree blade ...

I prefer the vain quarterstaff. Why would I ever want to wallop someone with normal wood when I could work them over with a branch from the bitch tree?
