Re: Jab’s Builds! (Kate Neville! SHIELD Super-Agents! Maria Hill!)
I don't usually agree with making major changes to established characters when they appear in live action but I'll admit I really liked what they did with Maria Hill in the MCU. It would be interesting to know if that was always the plan for the character or is casting Cobie Smulders had some influ...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Kate Neville! SHIELD Super-Agents! Maria Hill!)
I'm one of the few people that are not bothered that Maria Hill got a divorce from Barney, and that sometime after 2030 she may get back together with Ted.

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Cammy! Ryu! Ken! Luke! Jamie! Zangief!)
So I shall ask the all-important question: Who are your Street Fighter mains? Question 2: Who are your favorite characters (not necessarily ones you play)? Question 3: Who's your Superwaifu? (or Superhusband? I won't judge) 1 & 2) I've never played a Street Fighter game in my life, but curiousl...

Re: Heavy Hitters and Skillmonkeys (Silver Age Superman)
John Stewart became a marine instead of an architect. He went to architect school on the G.I. bill, maybe? I have a great deal of difficulty picturing John Stewart, as he was written in Green Lantern (/Green Arrow) #87 as having ever been a marine. Heck I barely could believe he was an architect.

Re: Dc heroes:the world at war sourcebook
Assuming you're familiar with the DC Heroes rules, then generally, yes. Especially if you intend on having Timely heroes interact with the National, All-American, and Quality heroes. The non-powered types would be the easiest. And in some case there are some obvious parallels... winged guys with ma...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Kalibak! Steppenwolf! DeSaad! Darkseid!)
Poor Darkseid. He really did suffer when he was basically denigrated to "just" a Superman villain, rather than a villain for the entire 4th World or DCU. Like Jab mentions, while Darkseid should be more than capable of fighting off top tier heroes Thanos-style, that really isn't his role....

Re: Steppenwolf
Ken, I think Jab was more or less just pointing out that sometimes pop culture can render something that was once cool or at least acceptable into a bit of a punchline, such as how being “gay” used to just mean merry or carefree, so the term was used in plenty of movies and literature prior to it b...

Re: Steppenwolf
STEPPENWOLF First Appearance: The New Gods #7 (Feb. 1972) -Looking kinda like Kanto but in different gear, Steppenwolf ("Steppe wolf" in German) has the same issue Mellencamp of the Acolytes does- the name is so incredibly associated with a musical act that it's goofy. Like, EVERYONE ALIV...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Glorious Godfrey! Mantis! Devilance! Black Racer!)
My introduction to Bedlam was the Legends miniseries, where he was sent after the first hero Darkseid wanted to destroy, namely Captain Marvel. He'd created a gigantic Animate body called the Macro Man, which had sufficient power to give Cap an actual fight. Bedlam then planted in Cap's mind a psyc...
