Re: A World Less Magical But No Less Fantastic

Even before Gregor Sychkin (b. 1923) 1933. But it might be that his origins had something to do with the ancient families who had managed to survive the Revolution, and that his obfuscations were intended to conceal information about them, rather than himself. My intentions was along those lines, y...

Re: A World Less Magical But No Less Fantastic

Great work and close to how I imagined him, Davies. (I pictured him slimmer, more baby-faced in his prime, and his outfit just a modified version of his old Army uniform. Not to mention possessing Taunt to go-along with his whole snarky class clown attitude.)

Re: Pop Culture of A World Less Magical

* (Pop Culture) Since the Hyperbrain think tanks and the Udall administration nipped the HIV/AIDS crisis in the bud in '83, Liberace actually did die of cancer (but in 1993). Sadly, cancer also managed to claim Freddy Mercury in 2010.

Re: A World Less Magical But No Less Fantastic

I've described a total of 34 Argus agents. Of those, I'd say that Anna Rothery is the only outright villain. Geena Grundy's focus on her own ambitions is intended to serve as a contrast to Pedro Blanco, the other PA handler; she's darker shade than most of the others, but still not indifferent to h...

Re: A World Less Magical But No Less Fantastic

On an average number of say 100 Argus agents, it look's like at least 5 are going to be corrupt. Seriously, count the number of agents that's been written ( even one's in other origins ), now count how many of said Agents are Corrupt. You'll be surprised. And to be fair, nitpick everything( even my...

Re: A World Less Magical But No Less Fantastic

Yeah, but it looks like the Noblest of Heroes are getting stuck with the most corrupt Agent. Out of 100%, it look's like there's 5% are corrupt. They must have a horrible vetting process to miss that many. I can understand it being a microcosm an all, but that's a lot of Bad Apples in that bunch......

Argus is a microcosm of humanity, containing within it the noblest of souls and the most base. Yeah, but it looks like the Noblest of Heroes are getting stuck with the most corrupt Agent. So how did Dracula get temporarily killed in NYC?

Speaking of which, those most powerful you mentioned obviously ended up on Daath and become members of Ananke's court.
Eventually, yes. Some went other places first.

Is this a reference to J. Michael Straczynski's first comic series?
Sort of. I didn't want to call them 'novas', you see.
