Re: Eric Masterson

This sort of thing happened a lot in this era of Marvel, as Jim Shooter was a big fan of temporary "Shake Things Up" storylines that left heroes in new identities or costumes for some hype. Eric Masterson as Thor James Rhodes as Iron Man John Walker as Captain America Jean-Paul Valley as ...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Thor Builds! Enchantress! Lorelei! Warriors Three! Mr. Hyde!)

With a name that sounds like "carnal-a" I never thought Karnilla was based on the myths as told.

Re: Who are our noted missing?

Similarly, the people at GR probably have access to other info, like BG3's e-mail and where she often posted from, that someone could use or give to some other "believer in the cause".

Re: Who are our noted missing?

The problem is, BG3 left enough clues around that figuring out where she works isn't that hard. And it's only about three hours between the city where the Green Ronin offices are and the city that BG3 works in. Someone with a day off could get there pretty easily. And, I'm pretty sure* that Lara liv...

Blue Beetle II: Contacts: Kord Omniversal (high); Law Enforcement (low), Justice League - God I miss Ted. I know he's alive in Nu52 but it's not the same. He and Booster were pretty much the only saving grace in the "funny" JLI era. That was a bromance for the ages. - Originally from Eart...

Re: Sidious' FASERIP Builds: It begins!

BLACK CANARY - I've been doing some history research lately and pre-crisis Dinah had, hands down, the strangest and down right confusing origin story ever. One of the things the Crisis did was clear it all up. Originally Dinah was a WW1 hero on Earth 2 who's daughter was cursed and taken by Johnny'...

Re: Inverted Points of View

Well, supposedly, these were wild pegasi, i.e. undomesticated pegasi. Which means, I a) found it odd they picked a spot so close to a human road, and b) didn't pretty much take off when we approached. These were acting like a domesticated herd that had broken free. I'm also of the belief that wild p...

Inverted Points of View

There is a problem that a friend of mine, Neil (if you've seen my Character thread), and I have when playing role-playing games; particularly fantasy games. It seems to be a completely inverted point of view. When GMing, Neil will toss in Fantasy Creatures in the most inconsequential, banal ways. e....

Re: J2

They did a "Billy Batson" thing with him, having a juvenile gain the uber-powers of the Juggernaut, His schtick was that he was REALLY young- both being immature and kind of cowardly, unwilling to put himself in danger even though he was nearly invulnerable- a pretty good, realistic chara...

Re: RIP Len Wein

We was a huge influence on my comic buying, without me realising it. My very first JLA comic (#110) was written by him. My two favourite JLA/JSA team-ups were by him (100-102 & 113), one which my uncle had, the other was collected in one of my favourite DC digests. And when I got actively into c...
