---/>_-[Earth-A's greatest scientific minds] laboring under the watchful and paranoid gaze of the Blood Lords!
Dr. Mortuus!
PL6/151pp. Real name Ezra Reids. Male mundane human.
Dr. Mortuus, employed by Europe's dread Night Lords, is
the greatest human necrotechnician in the Earth-A universe. Having proven himself trustworthy countless times AND with his life grossly expanded by necrotechnological 'blood-grafts', Dr. Mortuus knows more about Starvampirism than even many genuine Starvampires! Placeholder.
The Somnolent Seeker!
PL15/210pp. Real name Agni Firos. Male Sunwitch human/genecoded Tlolkku hybrid. (Normally, Tlolkku are not interfertile with humans, but being 'genecoded'---i.e., given 'plastic' DNA---makes all combinations of heritage possible.) Highly psychic and kept in a medically-induced coma to HEIGHTEN those very same abilities,
the Somnolent Seeker has extrasensory powers and telepathy on a
huge scale.
But his
true power is his ability to
copy and
internalize the minds of others. Focusing
exclusively on absorbing the minds of scientific geniuses, the Somnolent Seeker works science with only his consciousness...he’s the chief innovator of the Blood Lords. Placeholder.

the Dream Moth!
...this goes without saying, of course!
Dr. Microbe!
The tiniest Leaf, ever, Dr. Microbe is the leading light in Earth-B's microbiology studies. Nearly as small as the microbes he studies, Ashe is respected throughout the scientific community---if looked askance at for his, well, bizarre adventures!
Here's his stats...!
Placeholder.
The Worldengineer!
The Worldengineer's a Cyst Tumor mutant; physically frail and perpetually sickly, the Worldengineer nevertheless is THE smartest inventor native to Earth-B's Earth next to the Dream Moth himself! Placeholder.

Enki:
Crunch Writeups: Here thou goest fair and gentle journeyer!
PL12/151pp. Male Sumerian god. 'Deity' of bodies of freshwater, freshwater fish and knowledge.
Enki, a son of Anu, is one of the most learned men in his age. Basically a humanoid amphibious fishman, Enki is, by Bronze Age Earthly standards, a huuuuge genius.
Technologically, Enki has theorized ideas all the way up to Europe's Industrial Revolution; however, Enki's only implemented up to 1500s Imperial Chinese levels. (Real science takes time!) Considering this is the early Bronze Age, Enki may well be the smartest superhuman on Earth.
Enki holds the Bread of Life, a neuroenhancer foodstuff that allows gods to sustain even greater energies inside themselves than they normally can. Producing the Bread of Life is difficult, however, andso only the very highest gods have any access to it at all. Placeholder.
Nimrod, hunter of gods, heroes and monsters!
PL7/149pp. Male Canaanite demigod. Deity of hunting and ingenuity, it is the unparalleled intellect of mighty
Nimrod that led to the construction of the Babel space station and led humanity to new understanding of the cosmos. Placeholder.

Mr. Infinity!
He's
super-smart! He's
totally ripped, too, and he
wears shades even at night and
grits his teeth all the time! Those pouches of his contain...something?, nothing?...but they look
so f'ing badass!! He goes into battle with
two katanas that
have katanas on them!
W00t!
...wait. What did he
invent, you ask? He invented, um,
kewl stuff, stuff so
kewl it has to be described in
the vaguest terms possible! Maybe a hundred issues down the line
we may actually give thought to what that stuff is!

Asclepius!
PL10/99pp. A serpent-turned-sentient-Starbeast, fearsome
Asclepius is actually the rather gentle architect of what promises to be a smashingly successful secular medical praxis...assuming the Red Hand doesn't kill him, first!
You see, medieval medicine is a hogwash combination of superstition and poorly-understood techniques---but, to Asclepius, it all seems so clear. You see, Asclepius has essentially invented the scientific process: apply Occam's Razor, hypothesize, test, peer review, repeat, until
genuine results that work and are explainable are generated!
Obviously this flies in the face of millennia of 'medical lore'; as such, Aesclepius has generated a firestorm of outrage among human doctors---they do their best to demonize him, even as hundreds are cured with the knowledge Aesclepius has gathered by trial and study.
Asclepius has been brought into the inner circle of Simon Luther, a British duke and second-cousin to Queen Elizabeth I. There, Luther makes certain Asclepius has all the funding and equipment the snake-Starbeast needs to carry on this vital research!

Maya Nganga:
Placeholder.
Siddhartha of Maya.
The 'enlightened illusion',
Siddhartha of Maya has done more to explore the limits of Earth-H's extremely ascetic superhumans than anyone else. A living, sentient hologram, he may control the perceptions of illusions. Actually a computer-generated thoughtform, Siddhartha of Maya enjoys defying limits and boundaries at every possible turn.
Among Siddhartha of Maya’s countless innovations in arhat self-advancement are the strange machines known as Fyreassists, tiny spheres that entrap sol thoughtforms, for the purposes of boosting arhats’ pyrokinesis. An arhat may own a single Fyreassist without violating his or her oaths of severe austerities and self-denial.

the Cognizent:
PL12/400pp. One of the rare few Matroishka Ogre Dolls,
the Cognizent possesses an intellect exceeded by only a small number of beings throughout the whole Forever Tree. Born as he was—-having never known a human life—-the Cognizent has made incredible breakthroughs in the field of the fledgelng study of Ogrescience. Furthermore, the Cognizant is one of the Secret shareholders of the Griffon Mythology, helping Griffon in her Byzantine scheme to ensure Ogrish dominance via unwitting human assistance.
In addition to his cosmic level of intellect, the Cognizent is
also a telekinetic of immense powers.
The Cognizant is bioconnected to the Horror That Walks on Teeth! This makes him broodkin to several Demiogres: Doomsday, the Dionysian and the Horse-Headed Centurion, among several others. Placeholder.

Dr. Caleb Dararue.
One of the founders of the Tempestineers, Caleb Dararue was a bioelite and part of the mercenary band that found Tempest. He was a major part in the creation of the heroic Tempestineer, as he was an Enginseer with deep knowledge of genetics—-knowledge that was mostly lost, by then.
Sadly, Dr. Dararue was himself not suitable to become a Tempestineer. This ‘failure’ (entirely self-perceived, Mind you) stung him deeply, and eventually led to him committing suicide after the thirtieth Tempestineer mission. In Tempest, space is a premium, but Caleb was nevertheless interred in a tomb of his own—-the only way the Tempestineer knew how to honor this founding genius.

The I Who Observes the I That is Himself:
Science and technology are not especially advanced on Linntuuu, especially considering the mysterious Ban which prevents 99% of all Demimachinery from functioning within said dimension’s boundaries. However, exceptions
do exist, and are very noticeable in the rare instances they occur.
Such is the case with
the I Who Observes the I That is Himself, a clownfish-god from the Bowl of Uruku, who attained genuine immortality and spent millennia wandering the greater Forever Tree, before finally returning home laden with knowledge beyond
anything Linntuuu has EVER seen before. Setting up a workshop near the Nemmineniiyu Wastes to the south of the Bowl of Uruku, the I Who Observes the I That is Himself (‘the I That Is’, for short) spends his time building machines roughly equal to 21st Century CE America, and gifting them to the mightiest of Heroes, be they gods or mortals, either way.

Progenitor the Architect, Maker of Smiths:
PL15/311pp. Male ur-inventor mega-cyberkinetic cyborg Sunsphinx. The youngest adult son of the Solar Lion,
Maker of Smiths Progenitor the Architect may well be the greatest non-cosmic entity inventor and technologist the multiverse has
ever seen—-he’s the inventor of nearly 60% of all currently-used Sunsphinx technology, up to and including the
very dangerous-to-use Imperiex-diver FTL engine.
