Titans, GO! Brainstorm & Notes

Titans, GO!
Premise: What if Hazel Potter had been in Jump City when the group of young heroes known as the Teen Titans first encountered one another? What if Hazel decided to assist them in their heroic endeavors? And what if there was more to Hazel than simply being the Girl Who Lived?
Required Inclusions:
- Hazel Potter must be in Jump City when Starfire first arrives on Earth, and must participate in the events that lead up to the formation of the Teen Titans.
- Hazel must ultimately accept Robin’s invitation to join the Teen Titans, even while acknowledging his ulterior motive for making the offer.
- Hazel must form a romantic bond with one of the core members of the Teen Titans, with there being a distinct preference for a bond to form between her and Raven.
- Hazel must not return to Hogwarts, or at least not as a student, after joining the Teen Titans as a full time member.
- Hazel must possess superpowers that are similar to those which are possessed by both Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley) and Swamp Thing (Alec Holland). How and why are up to the author.
- Hazel must use the infamous Glacius Virilis jinx upon the Joker at least once during the course of this narrative. This would be even better if it is done after he hurts Harley Quinn in some way.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Hazel should actually be Pamela’s daughter, having already been conceived prior to when the woman would have become Poison Ivy, and born after that disastrous event.
- Hazel should employ an alternative magical focus, instead of a wand, with the suggestion having been made that her focus take the form of a Lute.
- Hazel should layer mild ‘prank’ style wards on the door to her quarters in Titans Tower after Beast Boy barges into her room one too many times for her to be comfortable with.
Optional Inclusions:
- It is possible that Hazel lacks the more poisonous attributes of Ivy’s physiology, allowing Hazel to lead a more heroic life instead of following in Ivy’s footsteps and becoming a villainess.
- The challenger has suggested that the author include a Wrong-Boy-Who-Lived scenario.

Complications
- Curse Sworn: Hazel derives her ability to manipulate plant-life from the Green, and will sometimes be called to act as a guardian for the world's plant-life. Failure to comply with such a request, or an attempt to attack the natural world, could lead to the Parliament of Trees exacting an intense punishment on Hazel.
- Destiny: It is currently Hazel's destiny to be the one who ultimately defeats the dark wizard who styles himself as "Lord Voldemort."
- Honor: Hazel will always keep her word of honor, strives to uphold the common good, and is never underhanded in her dealings.
- Impulsive: Hazel is a tempestuous young woman, who will often act without considering the consequences, even when she is being advised of those consequences by those who might have some idea what they are talking about.
- Motivation: Protector: Hazel is highly motivated to use her powers in defense of innocent lives. She'll gladly put herself at risk to defend those who are incapable of defending themselves as well as to protect those she cares about.
- Power Loss: There must be at least some form of plant-life within range of Hazel's Plant Awareness ability, even if it's only in the form of seeds located beneath the ground's surface, in order for her to make use of her Plant Control array and most of her Features. The exception to this is in the case of her Shambler power, as that is derived from seeds which grow on her garden garment.
- Relationships: Hazel is the biological daughter of the super-villainess known as Poison Ivy. She is also the adoptive daughter of Ivy's late sister and brother-in-law, Lily and James Potter. Lastly, she is the goddaughter of the late Lord Sirius Orion Black, and through him, the Regent for the House of Black.
- Wanted: The people of Wizarding Britain would do almost anything to get their hands on Hazel, and while several of them wish to gain access to her for arguably benevolent reasons, absolutely none of them have her best interests at heart. Those who do have her best interests at heart are the ones who aren't looking for her.

Prince of Aeaea (v2) Brainstorm & Notes

Prince of Aeaea
Premise: What if Harry Potter’s mother was not who everyone believed her to be? What if she had in fact been the powerful sorceress known as Circe? And what, if Harry had inherited far more from his maternal grandfather than anything he might have gotten from his paternal family line?
Required Inclusions:
- Circe must have done something that resulted in her being ‘cursed’ with a mortal life. Specifically, she became Lily Evans, and was unable to resume life as Circe until Lily’s demise.
- As was stated, when Lily died at the hands of Voldemort it had the effect of releasing Circe from captivity and bestowed her with the full memories of both her lives.
- Circe must have been incapacitated for long enough that Dumbledore was successful in placing Harry with the Dursley family following her supposed demise as Lily Potter.
- Circe must track down and recover her son after she regains consciousness, and must also claim the letter Dumbledore left Petunia explaining how he wants the Dursleys to treat the boy.
- From there, Circe must take Harry to her island, where she will raise him and teach him magic herself, instead of sending him to a Wizarding School.
- Harry must act as an agent of Olympus within the mortal world, which will grant him a greater opportunity to travel, and could lead him back to Wizarding Britain.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should inherit his maternal grandfather’s affinity for the Divine Light, which will grant him access to the Sun domain. Harry should also have access to the Honor domain.
- Harry should be romantically paired with at least one of the following: An Amazon or Atlantean of the Author’s choice, Poison Ivy, Raven, Daphne, Fleur and/or Susan.
- Harry should be a heroic individual in spite of the fact that his mother has historically been a rather villainous individual; although Circe is allowed to reform herself after Harry’s birth.
Optional Inclusions:
- If Daphne is included in the pairing, then she should not have the Blood Malediction.
- It is suggested that Circe and Wonder Woman (Diana) end up in a romantic relationship.
- Circe could act as a guest lecturer at Beauxbatons, with Harry attending day lessons.
Forbidden Things:

- Easily Distracted: Fleur finds it incredibly difficult to focus on anything but her sister when Gabrielle is in close proximity to her. This isn't because she is attracted to her sister or anything, but rather because she is very protective of the younger Veela.

- Motivation: Recognition: Fleur has decided to participate in the Triwizard Tournament because she wishes to prove that she isn't just another pretty face in the crowd.

This means that she is often the target of unwanted propositions from members of the other gender. Thus far, only one or two of her ill-fated suitors have made more than a single attempt.
- Honor: Daphne will always keep her word of honor, and strives to uphold the common good.
- Motivation: Protector: Daphne will do whatever it takes to keep her loved ones safe from harm, and it is only her sense of honor that prevents her from becoming truly yandere in her attempts to achieve that goal.

Complications
- Motivation: Responsibility: Circe takes the welfare and safety of her subjects very seriously and will do whatever it takes in order to protect them from anyone who would attempt to force her subjects into the role of cannon fodder. She has a tendency to turn such invaders into the very thing they hoped to acquire from Aeaea.
- Relationships: As Lily Evans, Circe had been friends with Severus Snape until such time as he called her a Mudblood in their fifth year at Hogwarts. She also married James Potter and bore him a son that people of Wizarding Britain would refer to as Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived.
- Rivalry: Circe is the Avatar of the Arcane, while Billy Batson's alter ego, King Shazam, is the Champion of the Arcane's Parliament, the Lords of Magic. That is also the first of several reasons for why Circe and Billy have a tendency to butt heads.
- Significant Other: Circe is Harry's mother and isn't particularly happy that he's carrying out missions for a pantheon that she spent thousands of years raging against.
- Technology Repellant: Advanced technology tends to do really weird things whenever Circe attempts to operate such a device, due to the absurdly high concentration of magical energy that can be found within her body. However, that same quality would make her a really useful ally when engaging Machine Queen in battle.
- Troubled Past: Circe is personally responsible for the death of Queen Hippolyta's sister, and while the Queen and her daughters have now forgiven her for that sin, the fact remains that their subjects aren't quite ready to let go of their hatred.

Build Comments: My headcanon says that Aeaea has a 'radius' of approximately 1,138 miles, making it far too large to fit within the confines of Circe's Fidelius Charm. In comparison to islands in the real world, my version of Aeaea is about half the size of Crete.

Oh, and the Temporal extra does for Time what the Dimensional extra does for Dimensions.

Black Moon Brainstorm & Notes

Black Moon
Premise: “The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches… Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the Black Moon rises… and the Dark Lord shall mark her as his equal, but she will have power the Dark Lord knows not…”
Required Inclusions:
- Elain Potter must actually be the half-demon progeny of Trigon the Terrible. How this is actually accomplished has been left open to the author’s interpretation.
- Elain must be at least two years older than her sister, Rachel Roth; although it is far more likely that she is around eight years older than Raven.
- Elain’s human form must possess at least a few demonic traits, such as violet hair and eyes, with dark purple pupils. She must also possess a means by which to hide these traits.
- Elain must possess the same basic suite of powers that her sister is known to possess, although in Elain’s case, these powers can be focused around a different Cardinal Sin.
- Elain must also possess a degree of superhuman strength, durability, agility and intellect, as befits a half-demon of her level of power.
- Elain must start off as a solo-hero, before she ultimately decides which superhero group she wishes to join, with a suggestion being given that she join the Justice League.
- Trigon must eventually attempt to use Elain as a means by which to enter the Earth Realm, with both of them turning their attention to Raven after the attempt ends in a failure.
- Elain must be romantically paired with one or more of the following: Wonder Woman, Zatanna, Hawkgirl, Fleur Delacour, Daphne Greengrass/Danica Malfoy and/or Susan Bones.
Preferred Inclusions:
- This scenario should incorporate events from one of the DC Comics Animated series, such as Young Justice, Teen Titans or the Justice League animated series.
- Elain should pick a code name that is related to a species of bird in much the same way as how her sister has chosen to use “Raven” as her code name.
- Elain’s superhero costume should be composed of a form of armor better known as Battle Robes, which is to say that they are the Wizarding equivalent to Tactical Armor.
- Elain should drop out of Hogwarts so as to have an easier time performing her heroic activities as well as to assist her in looking out for her younger sister.
Optional Inclusions:
- Elain could have a worse time controlling her emotions than her sister does, which would naturally lead to complications relating to her empathic abilities.
- The author is advised to present certain characters from Wizarding Britain in a rather exaggerated and in some cases malevolent manner.

Build Comments: Overwhelming Counter makes it so that for every Degree of Success Elain scores with the associated power, one rank of the Countering power will flow over to her enemy. Diminishing Counter is similar, except that it reduces the Effect Rank of any power that it actually fails to Counter, instead of failing to counter the ability outright. Enhanced Knockback can only be applied to powers when the Optional Knockback Rules from the Gamemaster's Guide are being employed by the Gamemaster, and what it does is to increase the Effect Rank of the associated power for purposes of determining how powerful the effect's knockback actually is, but not for purposes of determining how much damage the ability actually deals to the target(s). The first two effects come from Misfit Studio's Metahuman Martial Arts book, while the latter effect comes from the same company's Better Mousetrap book.

I also decided to ignore the issue I had noticed regarding Movement powers being Sustained effects, since the only time that should actually be a factor is in the case of "Movement Attacks"

Guardian of the Scales
Premise: Harry Potter decides to leave Wizarding Britain after the defeat of Voldemort so that he might experience at least some of the joys of childhood he never found while living in England. Over the course of his journey, he becomes the new Doctor Fate and meets a young girl in desperate need of a better father figure.
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter’s decision to leave Wizarding Britain to experience what he missed as a child must be one that his closest friends and family fully endorse.
- During his travels, Harry must find and adopt a 10 year old Rachel ‘Raven’ Roth at least 5 years prior to the start of the Young Justice animated TV Series.
- At some point during the course of his journey, Harry must meet and apprentice under Kent Nelson, who ultimately appoints Harry as his chosen successor for the role of Doctor Fate.
- Harry’s status as the Master of Death must be something which allows him to have much greater autonomy, and the ability to retain his memories, while acting as Doctor Fate.
- The events depicted in the YJ episode “Denial” must either be invalidated, or else altered, to account for the fact that Harry is the new Doctor Fate instead of Zatara.
- Harry must begin the story as a loose ally of the Justice League who may actually be reluctant to outright join in on their heroic activities due to his prior experience with that sort of lifestyle.
Preferred Inclusions:
- The author is encouraged to have Raven eventually join the YJ Team or the Outsiders.
- The author is encouraged to pair Harry with one or more of the following: Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Karen Starr, Gabrielle Delacour, Daphne Greengrass, or Susan Bones.
- Harry and Batman should possess a mildly antagonistic relationship due to a difference of opinion on what qualifies as an acceptable starting age for heroic sidekicks.
- Harry being particularly reluctant to allow Raven to join YJ, if that is the team she wants to join.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry’s reason for leaving Wizarding Britain might have been inspired by a posthumous letter he received from Dumbledore that urged him to go on such a journey.
- The author is encouraged to give Harry a resistance to Starrophytes and Starro Tech.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry the Weak Emo Doormat.
