Nothing Stopping Me Brainstorm & Notes

Nothing Stopping Me
Premise: One day, while attempting to empty his mind in an effort to improve his pitiful Occlumency barriers, Harry Potter discovers that he is not who everyone believed him to be; that he is in fact the God of Mischief from Norse mythology, and that he might very well have a doppelganger running around in New York…
Required Inclusions:
- Harry’s moral alignment must be Light (Good) or Gray (Neutral), while his ethical alignment must be Chaotic since he is now an “incarnation” of the Norse God of Mischief.
- Harry must discover his true identity during his fifth year at Hogwarts while attempting to improve his Occlumency barriers, which will greatly improve after his discovery.
- Harry must form a proper Familiar Bond with Hedwig, and in doing so, discover that she is actually a ‘disguised’ Frost Phoenix instead of a snowy owl.
- Harry must stop concealing his intellect after discovering that he is the Norse God of Mischief in ‘human form’ since his new identity would refuse to hide such information.
- Either Dumbledore, Voldemort or someone in the Ministry must have realized that Harry is actually the Norse God of Mischief long before Harry made that discovery for himself.
- Harry, as Loki, must have advanced knowledge of Wizarding Bureaucracy and use that to his advantage while attempting to liberate his godfather.
Preferred Inclusions:
- This fic should be a crossover with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which means there will be another “Loki” running around causing problems for the Avengers.
- Harry should attempt to get himself resorted into Slytherin. However, just because he attempts to accomplish this goal, doesn’t mean he’ll be successful in his efforts.
- Harry should retain Loki’s ability to empower other individuals with limited divine abilities. However, he should also have a predetermined number of characters who he can empower.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could actually be the legitimate son of James and Lily Potter, and therefore the rightful heir to both the Houses of Potter and Black through his parents and godfather respectively.
- Harry could adopt the codename “Ikol” in order to differentiate himself from the other Loki.
Forbidden Things:
- Sirius dying at the end of fifth year.
- Harry the Dark Emo Doormat.

Wings of Fate
Premise: The life of an archeologist wasn’t quite what one imagined while watching Indiana Jones, but for those who follow the path of a Curse Breaker, the exploits of Indiana Jones weren’t even close to the reality they were faced with, and now, Harry Potter finds himself facing an even greater adventure as Doctor Fate!
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter must pursue a career as a Curse Breaker after graduating from College, and end up encountering the Helmet of Fate during one expedition in particular.
- Through the helmet, Harry must receive advanced training in every field of magic imaginable, and must also learn of his otherworldly heritage as the son of a Thanagarian.
- Instead of being possessed by the Spirit of Nabu, Harry’s magical abilities must be amplified while he is wearing the Helmet, giving him a greater ability to combat the forces of darkness.
- Harry’s primary romantic interest must be a character from the DC Comics universe or the surrounding television franchises or movies.
- Harry must attempt to keep his lives as Harry Potter and Doctor Fate separate from one another. How successful he is in this endeavor is up to the author.
- Harry’s chief antagonist must be the Lord of Chaos known as Klarion the Witch Boy, with a major antagonist for Harry’s girlfriend(s) being an incredibly jealous Ginevra Weasley.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Lily Potter should actually have been the previous incarnation for the soul of Chay-Ara Hol, which is how Harry came by his Thanagarian Physiology.
- Nabu should actually attempt to possess Harry, but grudgingly come to respect the young man after discovering just how indomitable his willpower actually is.
- Harry should end up in a romantic pairing with one or more of the following: Raven, Supergirl, Poison Ivy, Hawk (Holly) & Dove (Dawn), Gabrielle, Daphne, and/or Susan.
Optional Inclusions:
- The events of the Young Justice Episode “Denial” should either not occur at all, or be suitably altered due to Harry being Doctor Fate in this story, assuming this is set in the YJ universe.
- Harry and his girlfriend(s) could provide Shayera Hol with Sanctuary after her exile.

Complications
- Fame: Harry is famous within Wizarding Britain for the part he played in vanquishing the dark wizard who styled himself as "Lord Voldemort."
- Honor: Harry will always keep his word of honor, strives to uphold the common good, and is never underhanded in his dealings.
- Impulsive: Harry is a tempestuous young man, who will often act without considering the consequences, even when he is being advised of those consequences by those who might have some idea what they are talking about.
- Motivation: Protector: Harry is highly motivated to use his powers to protect others. He willingly puts himself at risk to defend innocents and those he cares about.
- Power Loss: Harry is unable to "Conceal" his Thanagarian wings while actively wearing the Wings of Destiny. He is also allowed to cast most of the spells in his Major Arcana array without the Helmet, simply by employing his wand, but he is considered to be Effect Rank Disabled while doing so.
- Relationships: Harry retains a strong loyalty to past friends, such as Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood. He is also the godfather of Theodore 'Teddy' Lupin and as such, is on call in case Teddy's grandmother needs him for any reason.
- Responsibility: As Doctor Fate, Harry must maintain the balance between Order and Chaos, keeping level the scales of fate. If Chaos becomes dominant, then everything will dissolve into endless turmoil. If Order becomes dominant, then existence will freeze into stasis.
- Worthiness: The Helmet of Fate imparts immense knowledge of magic to whoever wears it, but only if it finds them worthy of using it's immense powers. Those who it doesn't find worthy could potentially be subjected to an attack by any of it's assorted mystical effects, almost all of which Harry has recently modified.

Complications
- Accidental Magic: Rachel's powers require strict emotional control, and getting overly emotional could cause her powers to short-circuit, which could in turn lead to the destruction of nearby objects.
- Enemies: Because of her heritage and the knowledge she has gained over the years, Rachel is the target of many supernatural forces who wish to use her for their own dark purposes.

- Guy Magnet: Daphne tends to attract male attention wherever she goes due to the fact that she is possibly the single most attractive Pure-Blood witch of her generation. This can of course, be a massive problem when combined with her Prejudice complication.
- Honor: Daphne will always keep her word of honor, and strives to uphold the common good.
- Motivation: Hedonism: Daphne lives for the solitary purpose of enjoying the finer things which life has to offer her, which is far more difficult now as an outcast in the magical world than it was back when she was the Heiress to one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight.
- Prejudice: Daphne was simultaneously cast out of the House of Greengrass and disinherited from the same, due to her decision to run away from home rather than honor the betrothal contract her father arranged for her. This means she is now a third class citizen in the magical conclaves, with only slightly more worth than a Squib. Of course, it also means she was very lucky to make it out of that situation with any money to her name at all.
- Relationships: Daphne is the estranged elder sister of Astoria Malfoy (née Greengrass), and the equally estranged eldest daughter of Lord Cyrus Greengrass and his late wife, Lady Elizabeth Greengrass (née Rosier).
