Complications
- Deceptive Age: Illyasviel only looks ten years old. In reality, she is a mature eighteen year old woman trapped in the body of a child.
- Hatred: Of her Onii-kun for the simple sin of having stolen her papa from her without asking if they could share said papa.
- Motivation: Responsibility: Illyasviel represents the interests of the Einzbern family in the Fifth Holy Grail War, which nominally makes her the enemy of every other Master due to the fact that she really does HAVE to win. Sadly, simply defeating 4 servants is going to be about all she can manage, if that.
- Mythic Weakness: As a vessel of the Grail, Illya's body can only absorb the energy from up to 4 servants and if she absorbs the fifth servant, she wouldn't function as a human any longer. Upon the absorption of the sixth servant, Illya's body would disintegrate completely so as to make way for the Holy Grail.
- Relationships: Illya is the Master of Berserker, and prior to meeting Harry, Berserker was her only friend.
- Rivalry: With Tohsaka Rin, Artoria Pendragon and Matou Sakura, all of which is over a solitary boy, Illya's precious "Onii-kun." Although, now that Illya also has a precious "Harry-kun" her rivalry with those three is more over their mutual interest in the Grail.

Complications
- Mad Enhanced: Berserker is under the effects of a constant B rank level of Mad Enhancement. Simply breathing in his or Illya's directions is probably going to cause him to attack you with extreme prejudice unless Illya uses a Command Spell to tell him you are a friendly. This quality is also responsible for reducing his Intellect score to -3, and rendering him incapable of communicating (although he can understand what is being said by those in his presence).
- Motivation: Protector: Berserker views Illyasviel as a surrogate daughter, and will move the Heavens and Earth in order to keep her safe. This same quality also makes it so Illya rarely ever needs to use her Command Spells, as he'll follow her commands without them so long as those commands don't place her in any immediate danger.
- Mythic Weakness: God Hand will not protect Hercules from attacks that successfully replicate the manner in which he died in the myths detailing original lifetime.
- Power Loss: Berserker possesses an A+ rank in the Valor quality, but can't actually benefit from it while under the effects of his Mad Enhancement power.
- Reputation: For being a mindless, if scarily agile, engine of raw and unfettered destruction.
- Secret Identity? What Secret Identity?: Illyasviel was happy to inform everyone involved in the Grail War that she happens to have Hercules, the son of Zeus, as her companion in the war. This is naturally a decision that she may very well come to regret, as Hercules has a number of weaknesses that even the lamest cartoon villain could exploit.
- Weakness: Berserker possesses A Rank Divinity, which is actually an incredibly irksome quality to possess if one wishes to engage Gilgamesh of Uruk in battle. In effect, Berserker is Disabled on any checks made to Resist or Overcome any Anti-Divine weaponr that Gilgamesh might decide to employ against him.

Complications
- A Man Possessed: Shirou is slowly assimilating the powers and abilities of Rin's Archer Servant simply by interacting with the man. The problem with this is that such an ability isn't supposed to be possible in the way that Shirou is manifesting it, and could ultimately lead to a situation where Archer's personality and memories completely replace the ones belonging to Shirou.
- Enemy: Gilgamesh of Uruk despises thieves more than anything else, and will go to great lengths to end the career of any thieves he encounters. He also prefers to use painfully verbose methods when punishing a thief... "Wait, shouldn't this complication be on his sheet instead of mine?"
- Guy Magnet: Pretty much the entire female cast is interested in Shirou for one reason or another, and not even Caster is entirely immune to this, as she truly does wish to know what it was that enabled him to survive being hit on the head by Hercules' axe-sword.
- Motivation: Justice: During the last few years of his life, Emiya Kiritsugu imparted within Shirou the ambition to become a Hero of Justice who could save everyone in the entire world. This was probably unintentional on Kiritsugu's part, yet at the same time, it is what has allowed Shirou to find a way past the errors Kiritsugu made while teaching him how to perform Magecraft.

Complications
- Hatred: Of waking up too early. She'll viciously attack whoever tries to rouse her unless they make an appropriate peace offering at the Altar of the Great Rin-sama! "That had better be the best damn breakfast I've ever had if you wish to reach school in one piece, Emiya-san!"
- Honor: If you can get her to remove the grouchy, tsundere external mask, Rin will reveal that she is a remarkably kind person who values both fair play and protecting innocent lives.
- Hopeless with Tech: Rin is not allowed to perform even the most basic of routine operations using technology unless she makes use of her Beginner's Luck advantage in order to acquire 5 temporary ranks in the Technology skill. This is contrary to how the Technology skill usually operates and is a result of her complete inability to comprehend technology at a fundamental level. Fortunately technology doesn't blow up in her hands if she attempts to use it, so that's something at least.
- Motivation: Responsibility: The entire reason Rin fights in the Grail War is to make the people she cares for proud of her, which means she doesn't actually have a wish that she wants the Grail to grant for her. Her entire raison d'etre is to make those she cares for as happy as they can possibly be. She doesn't care whether they reciprocate her love for them or not, so long as they are happy.
- Power Loss: Rin only managed to successfully charge five gems in preparation for the Grail War, which means that any of her powers which has the Unreliable (5 uses) flaw will lose charges in tandem with the other powers that possess that flaw. Charging gems in this manner requires 96 hours per gem, and thus really can't be accomplished during an event like the Fuyuki Grail Wars. This is also without bringing up the fact that the entire process requires gems of the highest quality, which is why Rin lacks the Wealth advantage.
- Quirk: "I didn't know I was into girls..." ~~ Rin herself says this at one point.
- The Average One: Rin's father is someone who very nearly succeeded in winning the Holy Grail War that preceded the one Rin is about to participate in. Rin's sister has access to an unlimited supply of magical energy, even if Sakura can't really utilize that ability at the current point in time. Rin also seems to be related to Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg, a man so powerful that it wouldn't be wrong to refer to him as a Physical God. As for Rin herself, her most impressive ability is that she employ all five Thaumaturgical Elements (Fire, Earth, Wind, Water & Void [Ether]), which is an utterly mundane attribute by Magi standards, even if a highly prized one.
= Trait of Consequence: Cooking: Rin is really good at cooking Chinese dishes, but is considered to be Disabled on her Expertise: Cooking checks for any other type of cuisine.
- Tsundere: Rin is an assertive, brainy brunette and will totally tease you to within an inch of your life if you express even the slightest bit of romantic interest in her. Complications
- Command Spells: Shirou has access to a set of sigils that will enable him to issue up to 2 (frm 3) commands to Saber which she will be entirely incapable of ignoring. Use of a single sigil affects Saber in the same way as the Compelled condition, while multiple sigils at the same time work like the Controlled condition.
- Motivation: I'd Like a Do Over Please: Saber truly believes someone else would have made a far better King than she did, and as such wants the Grail to grant her a second chance at the selection ceremony, one where she doesn't draw Caliburn from the stone. Unfortunately, she has no idea how a Magus might accomplish such a stunt, and is therefore vulnerable to having the Grail include any number of horrific side effects if it does grant such a wish.
- Past Lives: Saber isn't just modeled off of the same Heroic Spirit as her counterpart in the Fourth Holy Grail War, she actually is the same Servant that participated in that war due to an ongoing contract with the Counter Force known as Alayashiki, and she's not the only remnant from that war that can be found within Fuyuki, at least one of which is a Servant.
- Secret Identity: Saber's true identity is that of Artoria Pendragon, the young girl who became one of history's most famous rulers, and yet she herself is unaware of just how famous she happens to be.
- Significant Other: Saber has the misfortune of being Contracted to a young man who has little to no formal training in magecraft, who willingly chooses to use his body in order to intercept attacks meant for Saber, and who refuses to bring Saber with him to school due to her inability to Astralize! In other words, her master is none other than Emiya Shirou!
- The Gadfly: Harry Potter somehow managed to correctly identify Saber without ever needing to see her Noble Phantasm, and also managed to correctly guess her chronological age, which he now likes to compare to the ages of Shirou, Rin and Sakura whenever he is in proximity to her; not that Saber actually understands why he is making these comparisons.

The Black Sapphires Brainstorm & Notes

The Black Sapphires
Premise: Love is a very powerful emotion, one of the most powerful in fact, and one which the women of Zamaron greatly underestimated when they sent one of their precious gemstones to England in search of a new Star Sapphire, as that would also be the day which heralded the rise of the Black Sapphire Corps.
Required Inclusions:
- Bellatrix Lestrange’s marriage to Rodolphus must be a loveless sham that had been arranged by their parents against Bella’s wishes, much like Andi’s would have been if she hadn’t eloped.
- In reality, Bella must have been in love with James Potter, and his death must have broken her heart causing her to attract the attention of a Star Sapphire Gem (aging her down is suggested).
- Bella must decide to go to Privet Drive after James’ death due to already being aware of where it is that Lily’s sister lives thanks to a friendship with the woman.
- The Star Sapphire Gem cannot appear to Bella any earlier than when she comes into contact with Harry, and must affect the both of them after she picks him up.
- Bella must decide to take Harry and flee the country so that she might raise him as her own child, which must also at least in part be due to the gem’s influence on her mind.
- Harry must not return to Wizarding Britain until the day on which his name mysteriously exits the Goblet of Fire. How this is possible has been left up to the interpretation of the author.
Preferred Inclusions:
- It is preferred that Lily’s sacrificial magic influences the gem in such a way that while the compulsion to seek out a mate remains, the planetary crystallization subroutine is nullified.
- It is preferred that Bellatrix be capable of using the Gem as a magical focus, and that Harry be capable of casting spells without such a focus due to what he might have become.
- It is preferred that Harry become the Predator Entity’s host due to his proximity to one of the Star Sapphire Gem’s during the conversion process and his mother’s sacrificial magic.
Optional Inclusions:
- It is suggested that Bella either blood adopts Harry, or that a similar effect occurs during her conversion into a Star Sapphire.
- It is suggested that Bella eventually joins the JL, while Harry joins either YJ or the TT.

Complications
- For Hearts Long Lost: Bella still occasionally suffers from bouts of depression brought on by nightmarish memories of what her life was like before Harry entered it. During these times she isn't properly able to channel the Violet Light due to not having the proper emotional state of mind to do so.
- Infamy: Within Wizarding Britain, Bella is largely presumed to have been in league with the Death Eaters, even if that isn't actually the case. While she was married to Rodolphus Lestrange at the time that Voldemort was active, she never actually took the Dark Lord's mark, nor did she actively participate in any D.E. functions.
- Motivation: Thrills: Beyond her wish to spread love throughout the universe, Bella really just wants to have fun with her life. That is largely why she purchased a home that has the ability to use muggle technology and has had it outfitted with all the latest in both muggle and magical entertainment features.
- Power Limiter: The Violet aspect of the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum is fueled by love, which equates to a person's Will Score. This means that the maximum rank of any effect within that individual's Violet Energy Powers array is usually incapable of being any higher than their maximum Will Score.
- Relationships: Bellatrix is the youngest of three daughters, all of whom are the children of Cygnus and Druella Black. She is also the Lady Regent for both House Black and House Potter due to the fact that the current Lord Black is, to her knowledge, incarcerated in Azkaban Prison, and because the Heir Potter-Black is too young to take up either of those titles.
- Reputation: When the Zamarons first found the planet they now call home, they found a large crystalline structure located between two mummified bodies. They immediately decided that crystal was the ultimate expression of love, never realizing it to be a parasite that would lower the inhibitions of anyone it came into contact with to exceedingly horrific levels. This has led to a situation where each of the five women, excepting Bellatrix, who has one of these crystals has become obsessed with one specific person to the point where at least one of those women encased an entire planet in violet crystals so she could always be with her 'lover' after she finally snagged him. This has made most people extremely cautious when dealing with anyone who draws power from one of those gems the way Bella does. Hers however has been rendered far less yandere than the others thanks to Lily's sacrificial magic.
- Rivalry: Due to the fact that they each have differing views about what love means and how it is to be spread, it can be said that Bellatrix is the rival of her fellow Star Sapphire, Carol Ferris, even if Bella doesn't actually view the girl as an enemy.

Complications
- Chick Magnet: Harry the avatar of the cosmic entity representing love, naturally he has quite a following with the ladies... and especially with the super powerful ladies.
- Honor: Harry refuses to use the transformative properties of his Crystallization power because he truly believes that forcing people to experience overwhelming feelings of love is cruel and against their best interests. Even Bella is known to only use the effect as a measure of last resort.
- Impulsive: Harry is a tempestuous man, who will often act without considering the consequences, even when he is being advised of those consequences by those who might have some idea what they are talking about.
- Motivation: Protector: Harry is highly motivated to use his powers to protect others. He willingly puts himself at risk to defend innocents and those he cares about.

- Motivation: Patriotism: The entire reason Ghia'ta has joined Harry's vanguard is because she wishes to liberate both the Zamaron people and the Star Sapphire Corps as a whole from the shackles that have been placed upon them by their continued use of the Star Sapphire Gems, only one of which has thus far been purged of the parasitical influence that is creating so many problems for the Corps.
- Power Limiter: The Violet aspect of the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum is fueled by love, which equates to a person's Will Score. This means that the maximum rank of any effect within that individual's Violet Energy Powers array is usually incapable of being any higher than their maximum Will Score.
- Relationship: Ghia'ta's aunt is the reigning Queen of the Zamaron people, which is an extraterrestrial culture that seems to have forgotten that it needs males for reproduction purposes, while simultaneously viewing romantic love as the most efficient way of achieving Nirvana.
- Significant Other: Ghia'ta is truly in love with the young man who is the current avatar for the Predator Entity, and has been ever since he became old enough to be a viable romantic partner for her. This is in spite of the fact that he considers her to be more of an older sister due to the help she gave to Bella in raising him.

Complications
- Cursed: Kara's heart stopped functioning the moment she put on her Red Lantern Ring, thus if she were to ever take it off, she would immediately die. However, because she is a Kryptonian, there is a scenario which would allow her to survive such an occurrence.
- Motivation: Thrills: This is what Kara's motivation becomes after she is exposed to the calming effects of the Lake of Blood on Ysmault. Prior to that event, she was as mad and unstoppable as our favorite snow fairy's pet Berserker.
- Obsession: Kara is obsessed with the young man who managed to contain her for long enough to get her to Ysmault and dunk her in the aforementioned Lake of Blood, a young man by the name of Heinrich Black.
- Power Limiter: The Red Energy of the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum is fueled by Rage, which equates to the wielder's Fortitude score. This means that the powers in their Red Light of Rage array usually can't be any higher than their Fortitude score.
- Power Loss: Kara's Strength, Stamina, Agility and Dexterity scores will be reduced to 1 a piece and she will lose access to any power that possesses the "Kryptonian" descriptor whenever she is exposed to red solar energy, or else when someone manages to figure out how to remove or invalidate her stockpile of yellow solar energy.
- Shop Smart, Shop Doppelmart: Between the effects of Black Kryptonite, her clone, and the existence of countless parallel Earth's, Kara tends to run into alternate versions of herself more frequently than just about any other hero, save the Big Three.
- Weakness: As a Kryptonian, Karen is vulnerable to the irradiated fragments of the planet on which she was born, which has come to be referred to as Kryptonite. There are several different varieties, each with its own effects on Karen. Fortunately, all physiological and psychological effects that a particular piece of Kryptonite might have on Karen will immediately end as soon as she's no longer being exposed to the stuff. Unfortunately, this cessation of effect only applies to the direct effects of the Kryptonite fragment and not anything else which might happened to her or which she might have caused to happen while actively being exposed to the stuff.

Complications
- Cultural Awkwardness: Danica has absolutely no idea what a cellphone is, or how to operate a computer, and would be utterly blown away if she ever visited Milda BSC-01 or the Watchtower simply due to the fact that she has never read even the most antiquated of science fiction literature. "Harry, did Red's ring just talk?"
- Motivation: Greed: For the past several years, Danica believed she was next in line to inherit the title of Lady Black. Now that she has seen the Heir Black ring sitting on Harry's finger, she plans to use the only other palatable method by which she can acquire the title in question, as that would be the only safe way for her to interact with the private library belonging to the Head of House Black.
- Relationship: Danica is Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy's only child, which in turn makes her Harry's second-cousin, once removed. It is probably worth noting that Danica's Grandaunt Walburga Black married her Second Cousin and was able to have two children that grew up to be far more rational than their mother was.
- Significant Other: Danica's best friend, Heiress Daphne Greengrass, is absolutely terrified of boys due to a combination of factors that all trace back to a curse that has been plaguing the House of Greengrass for generations. As a result, Danica often has to rebuff, and in some cases hex, Daphne's would-be suitors.

Nec Mortem Brainstorm & Notes

Nec Mortem Effugere Quisquam Nec Amorem Potest
Premise: “Nec mortem effugere quisquam nec amorem potest / Nec placida contentus quiete est” which is to say, “No one is able to flee from death or love / nor is he content with peaceful rest.” This is what defines Harry Potter in the current day and age.
Required Inclusions:
- The primary romantic pairing for this fic must involve Harry Potter and Hela Odinsdottir.
- The story must begin after Harry has successfully united the Deathly Hallows, as that action is what will have bonded him to Hela in a betrothal agreement.
- The story must be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the Deathly Hallows being three incredibly powerful Asgardian Relics created by Odin to act as a Betrothal Challenge for Hela.
- Harry must become friends with Dr. Banner, with Harry being one of the few people that the Hulk won’t immediately try and Smash as soon as he transforms.
- Lily must be alive, but must also be unaware that Harry survived that night, or else unaware that Harry is even her son.
- It must be Lily who becomes the new Sorcerer Supreme upon the Ancient One’s death, and not Stephen Strange, even if Stephen is still an incredibly powerful Master of the Mystic Arts.
- Harry must eventually begin working on a way to help Bruce & Hulk coexist.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Gabrielle Delacour should have some sort of role in this story, whether that is as an additional lover, a friend and colleague, or something else entirely, is up to the author.
- Instead of becoming an Auror, it is suggested that Harry pursue a career in magical medicine, and that he has begun blending magical and mundane medicine by the time the story starts.
- It is suggested that either Gabrielle or Hela commission a new wand for Harry, with the particular qualities of this new wand acting in much the same manner as an Exalted Wand.
Optional Inclusions:
- The Betrothal Challenge that the Deathly Hallows represent should have been created before Hela went into exile, and thus should be all but forgotten by Asgard.
- Collecting the Hallows should probably give Harry an equivalent lifespan to an Asgardian.

- Confined: Hela is currently being confined to the Realm that shares her name. The one confining her within that realm is none other than her father, Odin Borson, the Allfather of Asgard. Furthermore, he used his very lifeforce to bind her to that realm.
- Cultural Awkwardness: The people of Midgard (Earth) have created a large number of myths surrounding Hela and her two brothers, one of which is that Loki, her youngest brother, is actually her father.
