Character creation in D6 is actually fairly easy

the first step is concept. wookie engineer, rodian BH, human jedi, twilek pilot etc etc

the next step is to assign attributes al heroes have 18D6 to apply to the 6 attributes. these can be modified up and down by +s or pips so you could have 4D str but 2D knowledge etc etc

Also races have different attribute minimums and maximums so humans for example have a min attribute of 2D and a maximum of 4D wookies have a max str of 6D but a min str of 3D meaning you have to have aminimum of that many D6 in the attribute

then skills. the base rules have a number of concepts or archetypes, such as the droid or the wookie or the hotshot pilot etc

these ATS have their skill listed and you just add in the available skill dice to them. or if your PC doesn't fit into the listed ATS you can just place as many skills as desired but still only have a few skill dice to fill in those ones you are expert at.

lastly you need to fll in the back stuff. is the character force sensitive Yes or No, what equipment do they have? do they have a ship? how fast is their move IE most characters max out at 10 move.

if theyre force sensitive then they have access to the three force attributes Sense Alter and Control and can assign attribute dice to them. these give access to force powers.

that's pretty much a down and dirty character creation run through.

Background:

While Storm Troopers are the face of the Empire and its very sharp Sword. It is the Imperial Army reorganized from the Army of the Republic that are its shield. nearly endless in number the Imperial Soldiers get very little of the glory that their naval brethren do, nor the storm troopers, and there is a heft rivalry with the former (though not the latter no ones that stupid). More then one brawl has broken out aboard ship when he naval troops get a little cocky or the GROPOS get to snickering about the Black Shirts fancy uniforms, and plush assignments.

the Imperial Army is often at the heart of nearly every military action the Empire takes, and they are always the ones for whom conscripted soldiers start out in. theyre also the ones who suffer enormous casualties even in comparison to the Storm Troopers who are always at the forefront of any engagement. Still they do their duty and push forward in order to secure worlds for the glory of the Empire and for an Emperor that many of them will never see outside of old holos and the occasional prerecorded speech.

Many of the Rebellions recruits come from the ranks of the Imperial Military when theyve seen one too many atrocities to ignore and the phrase I was just following orders no longer soothes their conscience. ironically they are also the ones who take the brunt of any rebellion and rebellious actions suffering casualties from terrorist and guerrilla actions.

Background:

Imperial Vehicle Drivers are only slightly more famous and less expendable then their footbound comrades. these men and women are the pilots of the Imperial miitaries armored might. From the small nimble speeder bike and armed land speeders, to the AT-STs, and Tanks, to the massive AT-ATs, and juggernaut mobile command centers. Theyre the one called on to take the soldiers further when the dropships have gotten them to the ground while providing cover fire.

Background:

Imperial Army Officers are the cream of the crop. these men and women have crawled scratched fought and bit and clawed their way through fire and blood and often COMPNOR and Imperial Intelligence breathing down their necks looking for traitors or those whose ambition out weighs their ability.

those that survive this gauntlet are often hardened and cold and treat their troops as little more then stepping stones for their career. the soldier know this but put up with it because they know it could be them one day with the rank and control and the same bullseye on their back. it goes without saying that more then one imperial officer has found himself the victim of an ""accident"" in the field. A few others have been visited by Lord vader and well we dont talk about them.

Note this is a standard imperial officer, more heroic versions such as General Veers or Crix Madine should naturally have higher stats and more or better skills to flesh them out.

Background:

Imperial Naval Soldiers are the black Clad backbone of the imperial Naval forces. Specially trained to operate aboard the massive imperial Capital Ships and Space Stations they act as marines for boarding and Counter boarding actions, enforce ship board regulations often brutally, and help to maintain discipline aboard the massive vessels having a crew of up to 47-50 thousand soldiers and officer all crammed into tight quarters means tempers can flair. So harsh measures must be taken to maintain order. Navy troops are the ones who handle this job and they are not afraid to use storm troopers to do it which causes even the most hardened of malcontents to correct his course most times.

Imperial Naval troopers are slight;ly better trained and equipped then their Army Counter parts which lets them adopt a bit of a smug attitude towards the GROPOS. this of course has led to more then one brawl between the two services, but make no mistake for all the cat calls about luxury cruises and plush assignments the Naval troopers are some of the most loyal and dangerous soldier in the empire because they value their Shipboard assignments and will fight like hell to keep it especially as it might very well lead to eventual command of a ship.

Background:

Here they are the Cream of the Cream of the Crop. Imperial Naval Officers. Including such luminaries as Admiral Ozzel, Admiral Piett, Captain Needa, Admiral Daala, and many others whose names have been etched into imperial history. these men and women are the ones in charge of the massive naval vessels and their constant function which spreads the glory and might of the Empire to all corners of the spiral.

these men and women did not just get handed their positions (most of the times) they earned them via hard training and education, and by being more ruthless and cuthtroat then their competitors at the imperial academy. This has enabled them to control vessels from the small fast aquitens class light frigate to the massive Imperial 1 and 2 star destoryers. they also are in command of the empires many space stations though their authority over said stations can be overrriden by the sector moff or local govenor depending on their influence.

Note the build above is presented as a ""standard officer."" one of the many officer found aboard an imperial ship or station who control the vessel and its daily operations.

the same build can be used for a generic captain of such a vessel with no problems. For more distinct Naval officers or heroic ones of course up their stats and skills to make them as you see fit. just make sure they dont fail too often, it may be the last time they do.

Background:

Imperial tie Fighter pilots are considered heroes in the empire to the average citizen. the distinctive roar of the Ties engines as they soar majestically overhead brings chills and cheers alike. especially know that the imperial pilot fly their missions without benefit o shield means their ships are extra dangerous and thus makes them even more heroic. The public face and propaganda aside any tie pilot who makes it past his first mission is considered lucky as a corellian cardshark. tie fighters are dangerous fighters but they have no hyper drives no shields and no life-support meaning that their pilots must rely on their wits, skills and flight suit to survive the rigors of combat in a ship thats temperamental and high performance

Its even worse when they know theyre going up against the rebels and their hated Xwings. the rebels though command would never admit it openly have a massive advantage with the X-Wing and other fighter craft. usually tie pilot have to swarm an xwing3-4 to 1 just to get a kill and even then it usually costs them 1-2 pilots in the process.

Still any tie pilot who can pass 10 missions successfully and survive is considered an Ace and lauded as a hero by command and the public as well as their fellow pilots who push themselves and their ships even harder to keep up and survive.

notes: again this is a standard template for a tie pilot the PCs might encounter while sneaking through a ship or space station or base. but most likely will encounter them behind the controls of their tie Fighter with 3-5 buddies in close formation shrieking past them and blasting away at their ship.

Tie Bomber Pilots are the same as the above only most of them are even crazier because the Tie Bomber is a brick that flies and most of them know ts even more dangerous to fly then the standard tie.

as usual adjust skills and attributes to your desire for more skilled and experienced tie pilots or heroic ones who are rivals to your pcs.

Story time Ana Tathis ran into one of these Elite Tie aces in the course of a campaign. the guy was as skilled without the force as Ana was with it. the two fought to a draw 3 times over the course of their encounters each time leaving the battle with a salute to each other.

A TIE fighter pilot in the Imperial Starfighter Corps, Iden became Commander of Inferno Squad, an Imperial Special Forces commando unit assembled by her father, Admiral Garrick Versio, in response to the destruction of the Death Star. Along with Agents Gideon Hask, Del Meeko, and Seyn Marana, she infiltrated the Dreamers and successfully destroyed them, though Marana died in the mission. Inferno Squad would later go on to participate in and conduct special operations for the Empire in the Galactic Civil War, and, in 4 ABY, participated in the Battle of Endor, which saw the death of Emperor Palpatine and the destruction of the second Death Star, resulting in the fracturing of the Empire with the lack of a line of succession and broken chain of command.


Spoilers ahead:

In the immediate aftermath of the battle, the secret Contingency was activated, and Messenger droids carried the final posthumous orders of the Emperor to select Imperial officers, among them Admiral Versio: Operation: Cinder was to begin at once. However, when climate disruption arrays targeted the Versio homeworld of Vardos as part of Operation: Cinder, Iden and Meeko both went rogue, escaping aboard the Corvus and surrendering to the Rebel Alliance. Iden and Meeko both agreed to help the Rebellion combat Operation: Cinder at the Battle of Theed, and ultimately decided to defect to the Rebellion and join the New Republic.

Aftermath: iden would go onto fight the empire all the way to its end at the battle of Jakku, Afterwards she would marry long time team mate and friend Del meeko and give birth to a daughter Zay. Sadly Idens happiness would not last as Del would be murdered by Former team mate Gideon Hask now with the Sinister First Order, and then Iden would sacrifice her life in heroic fashion to save her daughter from Gideon and insure the fledgling resistance would receive the plans for the First orders Dreadnaught as well as Starkiller base. She would leave a lasting legacy though as Zay would take over as commander as Inferno Squadron.

Iden Versio played brilliantly by janina gavankar is the protagonist for the Battlefield 2 Games campaign mode. Shes a special forces Elite cpable of fighting at Range and or in close. Shes an elite marksman, and a Master Pilot as shown in the Inferno Squad novel where she is one of the few survivors of the Battle of Yavin actually out flying the explosion and being one of the few imperial pilots who can say they survived both yavin and endor where she was on the moon during the battle and then escaped the destruction of the second deathstar.

Idens skills are an impressive list of special forces talent, and shes a top combatant as shown via the game play where she goonsweeps her way through the campaign and takes out multiple combatants. Surviving Endor as everyone knows is no small feat as very few imperial ground troopers did so, but not only did she, she did it with out losing a single team member and managed to save several dozen imperial soldiers as well.

Background:

cool tempered and generally laid back Lt Ada is a fan of bombers. No thats understating it shes a FANATIC about bombers and has been in more then one brawl when someone called bombers fat or slow within earshot of her. She keeps a collection of new and vintage Bomber models including alliance ones which has earned her more then one visit from the local ISB officer to her annoyance.

She joined the imperial academy specifically to become a Bomber pilot. While the rest of the cadets were talking up tie fighters and the new tie Interceptors Ada was determined--some say obsessed-- with being a bomber pilots which everyone knew was a death sentence. this of course led to more then one fight breaking out when such was said within earshot of her and the offender ended up with a bloody nose.

Ada believes the Bomber especially the TIe SA is the pinnacle of technology and much to the chagrin of her wingmen flies the thing like it was an interceptor or regular stub fighter with a lot of unnecessary and insane barrel rolls, and twists and turns much to the equal chagrin of Flight officers. However they cant deny the results which is that as insane as she is flying she is equally insanely precise with her ordinance and has racked up an amazing list of kills much less being one of the few Ace bomber pilots which has earned her the command of Bomber squadron Beta.

Her wingmen simultaneously look up to her and are terrified of the near suicidal orders she gives. Fortunately for her she has a record of high survivability in her squadron by leading her pilots around battles to attack from the flank or rear of an enemy fleet. avoiding the main fighter furball and delivering precise attacks with devastating damage to enemy ships. this despite her skirting the battle often meaning flying through asteroid fields or other dangerous terrain which she flies through like a mad woman

Ada has also become a pain for Imperial engineers and flight officers by her refusal to follow imperial protocol in he maintenance, she is constantly tinkering and making modifications to the Tie Bomber up to and including an experimental cluster missile launcher which she used successfully in a battler to wipe out a squadron of rebel x-wings and a wings in a single pass. her requests are usually denied straight up but this doesnt stop her from pestering or just outright ignoring the denial and going ahead anyways. this has earned her more then one report but her commanding officers usually let her off with a warning as her effectiveness has been proven on more then one occasion,

An attractive woman Ada doesnt mess with her looks too much but is aware that shes a target of admiration from many of her male crewmates though she tends to ignore these advances with a cool aloof attitude, the only mar of her good looks is a single scar that passes through her left eye. She tells everyone that she got it facing off against a squad of 12 X-wings but no one can confirm this She thinks it adds to her reputation as a high level pilot and refuses to let it be removed via medical surgery. What really happened is she got hit opening a closet door but she tells a different story.

notes" Ada is the female pilot featured in the amazing Tie Fighter video made in the 80s animated style, she is shown flying like a lunatic through an asteroid field and wiping a group of rebel fighters out in a single missile volley.

RPG notes shes an amazing pilot especially in a tie Bomber which normally is an insane proposition that can lead to mass casualties. But Ada subverts this with her amazing skills behind the Control stick. She would be a formidable enemy pilot to deal with as a rebel cell.

In my game canon She survives Endor but defects to the alliance when operation Cinder is launched and she is ordered to bomb an imperial evacuation convoy filled with children. She refuses and takes out the star destroyer she was assigned to just before the Alliance arrives. She negotiates her surrender and defection in exchange for allowing her squadmates the to either join her or leave on their own many of which stay with her. She takes place in the battle of Jakku and helps the new republic upgrade its bomber squadrons she is one of the pilots at the battle of Xeogal some many years later and survives the battle against the returned emperor.

Background:

Unlike their Imperial Counter parts the Soldiers who fight for the Alliance to restore the Republic are one and all Freedom fighters fighting to topple a monolithic empire that would crush freedom and light and hope from the galaxy,. these Men and Women and others all come from varied backgrounds and often as not receive little to no formal training. But many make do with a can do attitude and a Knack for living the hard life.

They face a daunting task though as their Imperial counter parts are well fed and organized, and equipped with the latest in weapons and equipment while the Alliance solders must often raid imperial storehouses or pirate weapons and equipment and then maintain it as best they can.

Recently though in the wake of the battle of yavin and the alliances stunning victory over the Empire. the Alliance gained some serious momentum and a ton of new recruits including top Imperial Defectors, especially former Imperial Special Forces Commander Crix Madine who helped whip the Alliance ground forces into shape. Madine Created a comprehensive training program that utilized rotating bases, and transports to train alliance soldiers on a variety of worlds giving them a tactical edge over their imperial foes who are bound by doctrines and rules where alliance soldiers are more free thinking and adaptable.

Notes:

Alliance Soldiers represent the bread and butter of the Rebel forces. these brave souls have to face the might of the Empire head on often enough and pay the price for it, But they do so willingly to preserve freedom.

Stat wise theyre very similar but more versatile then their imperial counter parts capable of putting up quite a fight when they need to.

Background:

A New addition to Rebel forces are the Shock troopers. Introduced by Crix Madine who saw a need for a heavy hitting unit that could stand its ground even for a short moment against Imperial Storm troopers and even possibly counter attack. These men and women underwent even more intensive training to turn them into walking talking tanks who could rally soldiers near them, and go where needed under heavy firepower. Sometimes via transport, sometimes by skydiving out of an Arial dropship under heavy fire often suffering heavy casualties in the process. though not if they can avoid it.

Shock troopers are as their name suggests heavily armed and armored, and hard fighters who match up well with storm troopers. However theyre much rarer then their white armored nemeses and so cant afford the attrition they sometimes take. Still when a platoon of shocktroopers hits an LZ blasting entire imperial companies tend to melt away or get sent fleeing from these monsters.

Alliance officers are often some of the most endangered men and women of the Rebellion. they know theyre priority targets who sif captured can look forward to intense interrogation--read torture-- and execution or imprisonment. this motivates them to become a rare breed highly skilled and educated and adaptable in order to keep their troops one step ahead of the moghty imperial war machine.

Fortunately for them many of them were former Imperials who defected for one reason or another. they bring a deep knowledge of imperial tactics and methods to the alliance insuring the Rebelion stays light and mobile as they need to.

Notes this is a standard officer any of the named officer such as Crix madine have been statted up elsewhere but feel free to add in your own stats to make your own officer to aid or hinder the PCs.

Background:

In most cases the Empire badly overpowers and out matches the alliance. The alliance usually finds itself on the back foot hitting and running, mostly running whenever the Empire shows up in force.

there is however one area where the Alliance has and continues to enjoy a healthy advantage. namely its fighers and pilots who are all of imperial quality or better. these top tier men and women dedicate themselves to attacking the Imperial navy often head on in order for the alliance fleet to jump to safety,

when they do this they face a massive numerical disentangle as theyre usually outnumbered 3-5 to 1. But most of them laugh off the notion pointing rightly to the superiority of the T65 X-Wing incoms pride and joy which the rebels have made into their signature fighter craft. Alliance fighter craft aside from having better armor and shields also have Hyper space capability and room for an astromech droid which allows the pilots to fight in relative safety and when needed execute a hyperspace escape. the allaince does not consider its pilots expendable, they cant afford to each loss is felt keenly as newer pilots often arent ready immeidately and the alliance cant afford to simply throw them into the cockpit either.

It is now well known that it was a fleet of Rebel starships who struck the empire at Yavin and destroyed ther ultimate weapon the deathstar. Imperial Captains often place bounties on high ranking Ace pilots of the alliance, More then one tie Pilot has tried to collect only to end up dying to the guns of an X-Wing.

Note: this build is meant to same as the Tie Pilot an average Alliance pilot which can be used for any number of scenarios.

RP note; Gray and Ian flew X-wings at the battle of yavin as part of black squadron, they went to distract fighters on the southern axis and did so nicely skating away at the last moment ahead of the blast.

Ian had a spectacular duel with an Imperial Ace which ended in a draw as the fighters raced to escape, the two saluted each other wouldnt meet again till after Endor.

Background:

Alliance Naval Troopers have much the same role as their Imperial counter parts but with less of the rivalry between ground and naval troops. the Empire is enemy enough for everyone without adding in infantile squabbling among the ranks. this isnt to say that a rivalry doesnt exist mind you but its more good natured and teasing and rarely leads to the type of cutthroat brawls aboard imperial ships. Everyone knows that Alliance ships are a dangerous career choice as most ships even with the new Mon Cals coming into service as fast as the Mon Cal can adapt them to war are hopelessly out matched by the Imperial Navy and only very clever tactics can allow a rebel vessel to escape unscathed.

The Alliance naval troopers are the ones who pay the price when they cant escape as they must then engage in brutal close quarters combat the in the tight corridors of a starship which is a lethally dangerous affair. just ask the soldiers of the Tantive IV.

Note: again much the same as their imperial counterparts and used for much the same things. Adjust and add as desired to customize any NPCs of note.

Background:

Alliance naval officers much like their Imperial counter parts from where many of them actually come from as well are the cream of the crop among the alliances military forces, Without them and their ships the alliance would be stuck as a hundred different ground based cells forced to take shuttles to their missions. Once the alliance formed though many captains led their ships into the unknown with the alliance fleet and were prepared to take the fight to the Imperial navy.

Early in the days of the rebellion this would normally be a suicide mission as Very few of the alliance ships could stand up to an Imperial 1 star destroyer. Hit and run tactics had to be used less the fleet be destroyed utterly which happened on more then one occasion.

All that changed with the battle of scarif and very soon after the battle of yavin when the alliance fleet dealt the imperials a shocking defeat and then an even more shocking one when they destroyed the Death Star. this would lead to a huge recruiting boom--especially in the wake of Alderans destruction-- and see numerous ships and captains join the fleet, A victory that would help free the Mon Calamari from their chains would bolster the fleet further by introducing the mon cal ships to the ranks these converted science and luxury liners would even the scales as any of them wokring together could fight star destroyers on even footing. Eventually the Alliance would gain assault frigates and the massive bulwark battleship which would have the firepower to outclass anything shy of a super star destroyer and could even fight those toe to toe.

the Battle of Endor would see the end of the Empire and the destruction of much of the Empires fleet the rest would be lost at the battle of jakku some time later. The Alliance fleet would be changed to a defensive role huntng pirates and smugglers and imperial remnants who refused to sign the Concordance treaty.

Note: Same as their imperial brothers and sisters Alliance Naval officers provide a command NPC for fleet actions and such. they can aid r hinder players as the ST needs. The abvoe is a generic build so add any skills or such that you see fit to customize the Captain and then give them a ship to command.

Shannon Kord was a prodgiy from almost the moment she was born, she was bright, pretty, developed quickly, and quickly became the most popular girl in her school. And all of that before her powers kicked in. Disvoering she could fly was wonderful, disovering she was strong and getting stronger even better, discoveirng she coud run from coast to coast in an hour or so give or take was sheer delight.

But when the shuttle came down and looked like it would crash into a major metropolitan center, well never let it be said Shannon Shirked her civic duty. Girl Scout leader, and community organizer Shannon to the rescue in a sepcialy made costume she built herself.

Needless to say landing the shuttle in the middle of the park was a star studded event, and Shannon smiled and waved for the camera feleing exhilerated. For the next few months she floated along on that feeling like a cloud untill reality was brought crashing down on her in the form of a jealous ex shed dumped after he mistreated her.

Scandals had brought down bigger then her and when he outed her public identity she felt she might go mad from all the excess attention. Which was her exes plan all along.

It backfired, because it worked for all of two seconds, She instead embraced her new found fame, and stated that she would no longer wear a mask in public.

Prodigy was here to stay and thus a star was born.

Powers and tactics:

Prodigy is a pure meat and potatoes Paragon. Shes stronger then anything that doesnt wear a red S on its chest, and while not quite as tough pretty close to it. When she puts her mind to it theres nothing she cant accomplish, around the world in 80 seconds? check, fly into space?" check, rescue a submarine from the bottom of the sea? No sweat.

Shes as powerful as they come and ready and able to duke it out with anyone, She tends toward a a straight forward fighting style. Basical knock the badguys block off and keep hitting until they stop moving funny. If that doesnt work shell use her speed to maneuevr around the battle to be where she needs to be most often stepping in front of others to protect them.

Personality:

Shannon is a born leader able to inspire her teammates to greater heights by her mere presence alone. She is a bright vivacious personality akin to a rock star but with a down to earth personality that puts everyone at ease immediately. heard of that girl that makes the room light up with her smile? Well thats Shannon to a T. Shes very much a believer in the good of all things a lawful good paladin if ever there was one, She does the right thing not the PC or politically convenient thing, this of course has led to some big wigs and high rollers trying to take her down. Still she soldiers on and does her best to do good in the world

Appearance: A beautiful young woman in her early twenties with long lower back length golden blond hair that practically glows like spun gold and blue eyes as bright as sapphires she could be a model with her tall and graceful body and looks.

She wears a black form fititng body suit with gold trim, gold boots and gloves, and belt, and a stylized P on her chest. Her cape is also gold and has the same stylized P but in black on it. Since she was outed publicly she no longer wears a mask.
