Considering this, I'd suggest a few ranks of (PRE-based) Expertise: Teacher.

He has an Intellect of 3, allowing him to make a Average Difficulty (DC10) check as a Routine Check and giving him a very good chance of making a Tough Difficulty (DC15) by rolling a 12+... So he might not be the greatest teacher, but he's good enough for it to be a day-job.

Wow, I really dig Sundown's backstory. A very "Ragtag Band of Soldiers" cinematic vibe to his backstory, but a very "Super-Hero" vibe to his home life. And the whole "Eclipser" thing rings of tragedy, and gives a lot of story hooks.
