South Park Builds

Post by Jabroniville »

SOUTH PARK:
-Among the more unexpected hits of the late '90s was a little show called South Park. Created by a pair of Film Students (Matt Stone & Trey Parker) on a whim for a project, their early, scrappy, cardboard-cut-out animated short Jesus vs. Santa Claus became an underground hit in Hollywood, being traded around by numerous celebrities (like George Clooney, most specifically), who loved the foul-mouthed, ultra-violent nature of the short. Pretty soon, Comedy Central came calling, and the two got a job making a cartoon series out of these little circular characters.

And man, it was a phenomenon. It hit even bigger than Beavis and Butt-Head had did only years earlier. The vulgarity, the blood, the sexual content and the absurdity helped launch these characters into the stratosphere, with numerous catchphrases appearing on bootleg merchandise the world over. It seemed that EVERY EPISODE featured some T-shirt-Catchphrase ("I my God, they killed Kenny!", "You bastards!", "Respect my authoritah!"), and the plots were more and more insane, with most of the comedy leaning towards either exceptional violence (Kenny was repeatedly killed, but would reappear without explanation each episode), or absurdity, such as the creature Scuzzlebutt, Cartman's anal probe, Dr. Mephesto and his predilection for adding asses to creatures, etc.

South Park became incredibly huge and successful, and subsequent seasons led to the release of a MOVIE- the infamous South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, which featured Satan (and his gay lover, Saddam Hussein) causing a war between the United States and Canada. The movie was a smash hit, but the quality of the show suffered under the stress of making the film (which, hilariously, became a MUSICAL, with Broadway-inspired hits like Up There, What Would Brian Boitano Do? and others, along with the hilariously-offensive Unclefucker).

The show faded a little bit, with people assuming the fad was dying out... but then Scott Tenorman Must Die came out, and the horrific, dark-comedy ending shocked everyone ("Ha-ha-ha-ha-HAAAA HA! I made you eat your par-ents! Nah-nah-nah-nah NAAAAAAAHHHH Nah!") and South Park was suddenly a THING again. Eventually, the absurdist comedy gave way to social commentary (always present, but now RIGHT THERE), as they commented on the issues of the day- even things that'd only come out DAYS earlier! They'd take on assisted suicide, John Edward, Metrosexuals, Walmart destroying small-town businesses, and more. Many characters would come and go, with once-prominent characters like Officer Barbrady and Chef disappearing, while Mr. Garrison lost his trademark hand-puppet and started taking on a new "thing" every few seasons, going from gay to transgender to a straight male again, based off of the jokes they wanted to tell.

Many shows can be offensive- really, being "offensive" is about the easiest joke you can make. It takes little effort to just mention pooping, rape, suicide or whatever, and laught at people beneath you. But South Park uses intelligence and EFFORT to make things the MOST offensive they could ever possibly be. There's a world of difference between "HUH-HUH- SUICIDE! RETARDS!" and "mentally-retarded child gets anally raped by transvestite in a bathroom, then staggers out declaring that it was even worse than the time he was raped by a Lake Tardicaca Shark". Or a band of adorable woodland critters sacrificing one of their number, then engaging in a sick blood orgy over his entrails. With South Park, you're downright impressed they came up with something THAT horrible, and played it entirely for laughs.

South Park had renewed notoriety thanks to being willing to take on ANYONE- their TV Tropes "Dethroning Moment of Suck" page is a hilarious ode to butthurt-edness, as it's non-stop "I used to love how the show made fun of EVERYONE... until they made fun of ME!" whining from people. Given that the show takes no prisoners, pokes fun at entire ethnic groups (Japanese are treated as cetacean-hating murderers who lack souls), defends groups while mocking them (Kyle is Jewish, but his family contains HUGE stereotypes; transgender people are initially mocked as being comparable to humans turning into dolphins, but also given sympathy), and will point out stupidity everywhere they find it, they are a GREAT source of whining. But they're also incredibly intelligent- their parodies and ludicrous vulgarity hides some razor-sharp wit and satire. Both liberals and conservatives are given equal amounts of hatred, with liberals being portrayed as smug, wimpy douches and conservatives like racist, old-fashioned imbeciles. Even racist immigrant-hating is actually given an empathic treatment, and they spend an entire episode making fun of Mormons for being naive idiots who believe an obviously clueless charlatan, but then turn around and point out that they use this to become better people, so maybe YOU'RE the asshole for making fun of them. They've even won AWARDS from groups representing the disabled, for while they crack a lot of jokes at the expense of crippled and retarded people, they also give them empathy and treat them like real human beings (with many episodes and plots not even dealing with their handicaps- a big bugaboo for those people).

The funny thing is... many of the best quotes of the show are both hard to explain, and harder to define in text. "The took our jobs!" isn't an inherently funny line, really. Nor is simply shouting one's name as dialogue ("TIMMEH!!!"). It's just how they SAY the lines that makes them terrific. Pretty much every line of Jimmy's is fantastic because of his friendly manner and stutter, for example.

GREAT EPISODES & EVENTS:
* Cartman disguises himself as AWESOME-O the Robot in order to prank Butters, but discovers that Butters has a damning video tape of himself, and so much scheme to get it, keeping up the charade for days. Butters is of course completely oblivious, while Cartman gets some great lines and moments (simply shouting "LAME!" in a robotic monotone, or fleeing from a Hollywood exec who asks if he is "a... PLEASURE model?").

* Jimmy & Timmy join "The Crips", inadvertently setting off a huge war with their rivals, The Bloods, before locking everyone in the Rec Center overnight and solving everything.

* Stan gets "served" by a dance group from another town, which is treated as an event of dire seriousness. Stan is merely confused, while Randy is concerned, and Sharon openly weeps. Butters has his own troubles with dancing, as his tap-dancing routines always end in massacres.

* Catholic Priests being depicted as having little boys in S&M gear chained to them all the time, and Father Maxi drawing outrage when he suggests that maybe Priests STOP molesting children for once, as if it was a necessary part of the canon.

* Kenny is trapped in a vegetative state, and two groups form up and go to war over whether or not they should pull the plug, in a reflection of the then-recent Terry Schiavo situation (a husband tried to let his wife die; her religious parents fought it; both sides got defenders and went to war on television, using Terry's image frequently). The episode ultimately leans in the side of "it's unnatural to keep people alive in this state", but carefully points out the errors of BOTH sides- "Your side is correct, but for the WRONG reasons; and their side is wrong, for the RIGHT reasons". In other words, the "Pull the Plug" people are correct, but are doing so to spite the religious folks more than any sense of compassion. Meanwhile, the "Keep Him Alive" people are morally right for their belief in the value of human life, but are incorrect because this is an unnatural life (the show helpfully has Michael, the Archangel of Heaven, explain this aspect, just in case you weren't sure whose side to take). And of course because it's South Park, they hammer BOTH sides with the reading of Kenny's will, which indicates that should he ever be put in a vegetative coma, "Please, whatever you do... don't put me on television in that condition". Both sides, who'd been gladly using Kenny's image in their culture war, just look at each other uncomfortably and go "... OOOOOOOHHHH...".

* San Diego: COME. Take a load off!

* The boys misunderstand when "Sea Men" are found in their dead teacher's stomach- eager to reunite them with the Sea People they'd bought, they inadvertently fertilize them, creating a super-society, which soon destroys itself. Realizing that adding "Sea Men" had such a great effect, the boys gather as much of the "Sea Men" as they can find. Cartman happily points out that a guy was only too happy to help, saying "And the idiot didn't charge me at all! He just had me close my eyes and suck it out of a hose!"

* The songs are nearly always fantastic. Either the townsfolk singing Love Is A Battlefield at some greedy, land-grabbing Native Americans, Cartman singing about Too Many Minorities in My Waterpark, or the fantastic anti-bullying song.

* Cartman, undercover as Latino teacher Eric Cartmenez, is doing the "uplifting middle-class teacher" thing with a group of Latino gangbangers and hangers-on- his gimmick? Convincing them that CHEATING is the only way to pass these tests and make their way in the world. He's taken aback when the girl in the group attempts to drop out because she's pregnant. His natural solution is "You got to get an ABORTION!". She attempts to blow him off by saying she's a Catholic and can't, which leads him into an "uplifting teacher speech" about how the WHITE girls all pass school because they get abortions, and that "Abortion is the ultimate KIND of cheating! You're cheating that baby out of a chance at LIFE!". Just the darkest, sickest gag imaginable :).

* Cartman and Kyle both get HIV (Cartman gave it to Kyle out of spite), and desperately seek a cure. Realizing that Magic Johnson has had it for years and is still alive, they ask him why, but he's unclear... until they realize he keeps all of his money in a room at his home. They realize the cure for HIV and AIDS is hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash. So they grind up $100,000+ in bills, drink a slurry made from it, and happily spread the news to the people of the world. Best part is the sight of someone happily driving up to a village of scrawny, sunken-cheekboned African people, shouting "The cure for AIDS has been found! You just inject yourself with all of your cash!" and then immediately driving away.

* Kenny and Gerald getting addicted to cat piss, which constantly plays the opening chords of Don Felder's Heavy Metal and gives them views of an Animated Boob Paradise.

* Good Times With Weapons, with the boys and Butters imagining themselves as anime-style characters. There's a great plot where Butters is badly-injured by a thrown shuriken, the boys try to hide it, and more, but the best part is undoubtedly the theme song Let's Fighting Love, which is basically everything silly and glorious about anime songs in a nutshell. When my friends and I saw it for the first time, the bit where Cartman uses his "powers of invisibility" to grab something in broad daylight, via "going invisible" and then taking his clothes off (then slowly ambling along a public stage in front of dozens of people, with his penis hanging out), we were sent into the kind of gagging, "can't breathe" hysterics that you remember for the rest of your life.

* Satan kicking a guy in a Steve Irwin costume out of his Halloween Party, as it's been literally only days since his death (in the show AND real life!), Satan figures that it's "too soon" to be making jokes out of this tragedy. The man, wearing Irwin's trademark outfit and having a stingray sticking out of his chest, replies "But Satan- I AM the Crocodile Hunter!". Satan is stunned, but then says "Well then you're not in costume- you have to go!" and kicks Irwin out! DAYS after Irwin's real-life death!

STATS IN SOUTH PARK:
-The people of South Park are actually remarkably good fighters, especially in comparison to Springfieldianites or other cartoon people. This is largely due to the extreme amount of rioting that goes on in the town, complete with numerous fatal beatings. As most recurring characters have survived these, it makes for some impressive physical specimens. Even the children, ordinarily too weak to harm adults in most shows, are actually quite capable of beating on adults (Cartman, a poor fighter, is quite dangerous with a baton).

As Kreuzritter mentioned, he's literally statted characters from porn. HOWEVER, said porn didn't also include massive diatribes against every vulnerable majority & minority group in the world. I could BUILD Stan, Kyle, Cartman & Kenny, but no way in hell could I include all of their quotes or their Complications :).

"Dude, this is pretty f*cked up right here,"

---

"Hey, Wendy...? You're a bitch! And Token...? (raises middle finger) RIGHT HERE, buddy!"
-After Wendy breaks up with Stan in favor of Token

---

"Hi there, sir- you must be a fan of Panzopotanzonite rings!"
"Yeah, hi! Um, you should kill yourself!"
"...what's that?"
"I said, you should kill yourself. What you do is sort of unjustifiable, and you KNOW it's unjustifiable. And you don't care. You're the definition of evil. Kill yourself."
"Okay, we're gonna sell this ring for just 37.95, how about that?"
"I just read that the day Shopping Networks make the most money is the day Seniors pick up their social security checks. Kill yourself."
"... Alright, well, you probably shouldn't say stuff like that, because some host of a jewelry Channel might just up and do it, and then you'd feel really bad."
"No, I wouldn't."
"Yes you would."
"No, beacuse I really want you to kill yourself."
"Alright, well how 'bout this? If a jewelry network host goes home and blows his brains out, you might be liable- That's a lawsuit worth 2.7 MILLION dollars, how's that sound?"
"I don't care about what happens to ME- I care about my grandfather, your morally-empty, corrupted maggot."
"... Alright, I tell you what- I'll bring the lawsuit down to twenty-nine, thirty-nine--"
"It doesn't matter what price you put on ANYTHING- your only chance to right the wrongs you've done, and to repay all the elderly people whose lives you've destroyed, is to kill yourself."
"... Well, you think it's funny, but that's calling someone up, and tellin' them to kill themselves, that's not a joke--"
"I'm not joking. DO IT."
-Stan and the Jewelry Channel host

Offense:
Unarmed +5 (-1 Damage, DC 14)
Initiative +2

Defenses:
Dodge +6 (DC 16), Parry +5 (DC 15), Toughness +1, Fortitude +2, Will +6

Complications:
Relationship (Wendy Testaberger)- Stan's love for Wendy was once so prominent that her mere appearance could send him into fits of vomiting, often all over her ("Barf is GROSS!"). Eventually he learned to be much more stoic around her, but would still become vastly jealous when she spent time around another (Gregory), or "breaks up" to date someone else (Token). The latter incident left Stan temporarily shattered, descending into becoming a Goth and going on about how miserable life is. Eventually, the two get back together.
Relationship (Kyle)- Stan & Kyle are best friends, and actually get along, unlike most of the others. Though Kyle can be frustrating by refusing to go along with the others.
Relationship (Randy- Father)- Stan is openly frustrated by his stupid, fad-chasing father, and often has to derail his own plans in order to try to keep Randy out of trouble. Randy's obsessions get to Stan more and more with each passing year, and have left him mistrustful of adults in general.
Relationship (Cartman)- Cartman is part of the group, but Stan openly mocks and disrespects his friend. Cartman manages to confess, when Stan goes into Scientology, that "I still hate Kyle more than you."
Relationship (Shelly- Sister)- Shelly is violently-abusive to Stan, often beating him, smashing him into a wall with a piano, or driving over him with a lawnmower. However, he is unwilling to see her mistreated by her adult boyfriend Skyler, and she refuses to allow him to be bullied by others ("That's MY job.").
Relationship (Grandpa)- Stan's Grandpa initially wanted "Billy" to kill him and put an end to his misery. Later, Stan is defensive of his grandfather, who is addicted to foolishly-overspending on low-quality jewelry on the Home Shopping Network, ultimately convincing the network's host to commit suicide on the air.
Relationship (Sparky)- Stan loves his dog Sparky, eventually coming to terms with his dog's homosexuality. He is later grounded by his parents for playing "Red Rocket" with Sparky in front of company, but this is rescinded when it turns out he has no knowledge of sexual education.
---
Responsibility (The Only Sane Man)- The behavior of the other residents in South Park consistently make Stan grip the bridge of his nose and squint his eyes in frustration.
Responsibility (Morals)- Though less self-righteous than Kyle, Stan is prone to soapboxing and lecturing others. He is also outraged when he learns that Scientology is a scam, and goes to get his money back after seeing The Passion of the Christ as a "snuff film". His refusal to vote between a huge turd and a giant douche lead to outrage among the other citizens of South Park, and he only rescinds after realizing that's likely the only choice he's ever going to have in elections.
Responsibility (Animal Lover)- Stan's morality is on display especially when animals are involved. He joins an Anti-Whaling fleet and begins sinking many Japanese whaling vessels (and eventually convinces the Japanese that cows & chickens dropped the Atomic Bombs on Japan, not dolphins & whales like they'd always thought), and gives up all meat when he discovers the truth about what veal is, only rescinding because lack of protein causes tiny vaginas to break out on his skin.
Responsibility (Trends)- Stan often latches onto popular trends, especially if he's afraid of being ostracized like Kyle is for not joining in. He collects Chinpokomon and gladly accepts the "Metrosexual" trend. However, he resisted the High School Musical fad until it was too late.
Responsibility (Cynical Asshole)- Stan eventually grows tired of the monotony of life in South Park- particularly dealing with the same stupid crap all the time. Eventually, this descends into him viewing everything he sees and watches as literal feces ("They're not pieces of shit, Stan! They're penguins!"). A brief measure of excitement comes from the potential of moving, but his parents eventually give in and go back to the same old grind, and so Stan learns to maintain himself with liquor.
---
Enemy (Trent Boyett)- Trent was framed by the boys for setting fires in their preschool classroom, and now seeks to hunt down all four boys. Given that Trent can badly injure dozens of Sixth Graders, this is quite a terrifying predicament.
Enemy (John Edward)- Stan is outraged when he discovers that John Edward is faking people out of money, and ends up getting in a "Biggest Douche in the Universe" award (impressive, considering one of the other candidates was literally a gigantic douche).
Reputation ("Spankin' it, spankin' it; smackety-smack!")- Stan's videos that attempt to raise awareness on certain important subjects often leave him jacking it in San Diego.
Reputation (Inviting Trouble)- Clyde points out that nobody else in school likes Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, because of their consistent tendency to search out trouble, inviting all manner of calamity to South Park, such as when they accidentally called forth an army of destructive giant Guinea Pigs to town.
Addiction (Hoarding)- Stan's locker is considered a concern by Wendy, and even Kyle is mortified when Stan refuses to let go of a moldy sandwhich ("This is just moving a little too fast for me!").
Disabled (Child)- Children are very short, have tiny arms, and aren't as fast as adults. They can never Intimidate an adult without a weapon, no matter their Presence, and are very lightweight, making them easy to pick up.

Total: Abilities: 32 / Skills: 38--19 / Advantages: 4 / Powers: 1 / Defenses: 9 (65)

-Stan & Kyle are the two main "standard" characters of South Park, contrasting the antagonistic role of Cartman, or side role of Kenny and others. Probably the most "typical" kid of the cast, he's actually kind of hard to nail down in terms of personality- he's less moralistic than Kyle, and a bit more easily-led, but still falls into the same traps the other characters do. Early episodes were often based around his love for Wendy, whose mere appearance would cause him to projectile vomit all over the place. He typically has the most "normal guy" response to crazy situations, and used to cap off the episodes with "You know, I learned something today", giving either a silly moral, or an actual pretty solid judgment of people's actions.

-Eventually, as the seasons went on, he'd become VERY frustrated every time somebody did something stupid (which, given that it's South Park, was all the time). A typical "Stan" moment would be him pinching the bridge of his nose, going "OH no..." with great consternation. As one of the only non-stupid people in town, and one of the only children with common sense or morals, he is often seen as a leader-sort, often getting the other boys to go along with him. His stoicism and sanity make him a great contrast- the more frustrated Stan becomes, the more hilarious the episode gets. One of his greatest moments was in Stanley's Cup, where he is befuddled by his Pee-Wee Hockey team's inability to engage in Sports Movie Cliches properly- a dying teammate starts fading whenever the team loses, but when their next game is scored evenly, "It's like his cancer is... TIED". Ultimately, the team is destroyed by the Detroit Red Wings, and the boy dies in sadness and agony.

-Stan, despite being a child, is actually a fairly solid combatant, able to use weapons with great accuracy- he executes Scuzzlebutt in the first season (granted, this is a shot from behind, and Scuzzlebutt is very large), and manages to cause great destruction with high-powered weapons in Whale Whores, sinking a Japanese whaling ship along with most hands.

As a Ninja: Stan's sword fires out a blast of heat. Unfortunately, Professor Chaos is immune.
As Toolshed: In the video game, Stan can "control Tools". He uses Blasts, as well as a Healing move. His Sandblaster can get into forbidden areas (Permeate or something), but only with a proper plug, or the New Kid's asshole.

Okay, Jab, today you hit a new high on my build weird-o-meter scale. I mean, I remember wehn you built the Simpsons on the ATT, but this is really a new level of crazy, even for you. Still, I would be very interested to read you commentaries on the characters.

South Park was really one of those shows that I watched in bits and pieces. When it first came out I was already out of love for that kind of stories, thanks to both too many re-runs of the Simpsons and the fact that I really couldn't stomach Family Guy and American Dad, neither of which I considered even remotely funny.
The big plus of South Park is, for me, the "no prisoner" humor of the series and the lack of any attempt to a real continuity. Any attempt to that would require a character to act as the audience P.O.V. and would basically become the "good guy" of the series. Not here, nobody was safe in South Park and, as far as I can remember, the only time show really took a stance and decided that there was nothing to joke about was an episode about child rape.
"You're right. Sorry. Holy shit," I breathed, "heckhounds.”

Overall, I love South Park.

The first episode I ever watched was the first Halloween episode with Kenny becoming a zombie. It hooked me immediately, with it's insanity. I was a sophomore in high school and it just hit all the right buttons....plus the fact that I wasn't SUPPOSED to watch it immediately made me want to watch it even more.

I only really quit watching it when they did the Starvin' Marvin In Space episode because I was very religious and felt them making fun of missionaries who were handing out crosses to starving people instead of feeding them mocked my religion....but then I got back into it once i started college and 4th grade hit, with me realizing that they're not so much making fun of the religion or way of life itself as they are some of the attitudes of people who practice it. And I've met more than a few people since then who are like that.

In truth, while they do make fun of most religions....like Jab said most of the time they're pretty positive about the religious figures themselves and what not. I mean you have some things you might take issue with (my sister was HORRIFIED at the Jesus vs Satan boxing match...but still laughing....like I was in Red Sleigh Down or that Easter episode where Kyle has to actually kill Jesus so he can resurrect outside the holding cell) but they tend to make some decent points at times...like Jab mentioned again the All About Mormons episode.

It's....pretty balanced and the fact that they rip on EVERYONE is what really sets it apart for me.

It doesn't hurt that it's uproariously funny and my wife, stepson and I like pretty much everything Matt and Trey related (though she didn't quite get what Cannibal The Musical was going for)

Oh my god, I can't wait for more of these builds! I've loved South Park since day 1, starting with their penchant for surreal humor and then even more so when they started handling "issues of the week." Like you said, I think the thing I like the most is that they target everyone eventually, regardless of politics, sex, or religion. I found their jokes about agnostics to be particularly hilarious. However, in this house you will drink only agnostic beverages! Dr. Pepper, and Diet Dr. Pepper! Because what flavor is it?! It is neither root beer nor cola! Nobody is sure what flavor it is, and nobody can be sure!

-Stan's Clone is about as early as it gets- Terrance Mephesto, eager to clone Stan for a science fair project (the boys, meanwhile, where trying to get Kyle's elephant to make love to Cartman's pig, because like the Loverboy song goes, "Pig and elephant DNA just won't splice!"), had his uncle Dr. Mephesto create this malformed creature with an elongated left arm, who can only utter "Ma-chomp! Ma-chomp! Ma-chewy-chomp!" and similar gibberish. He went mad as soon as he was created, broke free, and destroyed the town of South Park (back when it was basically a single row of small buildings), until the boys got him to attack Stan's abusive sister Shelly. Shelly instead kicks the clone's ass, and then Dr. Mephesto arrives and quickly shoots the clone in the head. Despite his one-off appearance, since he was so early in the show, he pops up on a lot of "Season One" merchandise, such as the N64 Snowball-throwing video game, which is why I can remember his gibberish so clearly.

-Stan's Clone does some damage throughout South Park, but is very weak against personal threats- both Shelly and Dr.
Mephesto (with a gun) make short work of him. So his defense are poor, and his Toughness is fairly low, despite a high damage output.

Complications:
Responsibility (Headgear)- Shelly is very sensitive about her headgear, and will assault anybody she thinks is mocking her about it.
Relationship (Stan- Brother)- Shelly is violently-abusive to Stan, often beating him, smashing him into a wall with a piano, or driving over him with a lawnmower. However, he is unwilling to see her mistreated by her adult boyfriend Skyler, and she refuses to allow him to be bullied by others ("That's MY job.").
Responsibility (Lorde Fan)- Shelly loves Lorde for not being like the sexed-up tarts that populate Pop Music, and is shattered when Lorde begins masturbating on live television.
Responsibility (Female)- All females become famished for blowjobs after seeing Broadway musicals, via extremely-subtle subliminal messaging.
Disabled (Child)- Children are very short, have tiny arms, and aren't as fast as adults. They can never Intimidate an adult without a weapon, no matter their Presence, and are very lightweight, making them easy to pick up.

-Shelly debuted nice and early on South Park, one of the few shows that gave many of the children siblings. She was depicted as hilariously violent with her little brother, going "are you mocking my headgear?" and assaulting him with a series of weapons (including a LAWNMOWER one time) in fits of rage. Her parents assumed Stan was simply making up stories of the abuse "because they think she's all INNOCENT", while Mr. Garrison calls Stan a pansy for letting his sister beat him up. She doesn't appear as a major character that often, but the creators definitely haven't forgotten about her- she had a hilariously-creepy relationship with Skyler (a college-aged kid, while Shelly is barely larger than Stan- Skyler dumped her when she wouldn't put out, so Shelly & Cartman got revenge on him), yells at Randy along with Stan when he does something stupid, tried to defend Stan from a violent criminal, was prevented from seeing Wicked with her boyfriend (Randy wrecked the performance, since he was aware that musicals made women famished for blowjobs), and had some focus when she became a huge fan of Lorde (actually her father in women's clothing).

-She's actually based off of Trey's older sister Shelly Parker, who apparently once threw him down a flight of stairs when they were kids.

-Shelly is actually a monstrous physical specimen, able to wield objects like pianos as melee weapons and easily defeat Stan's Clone (who was himself able to terrorize much of South Park).

Glad people are into the idea of this- statting up a TV show with SUCH a huge cast is always a big job, and it would take long enough that anyone who's not a fan might be bored, so I wanted to be sure people were interested.

One thing I note about South Park is that the supporting cast is ENORMOUS, but also quite deep- they can run several episodes a season with characters outside the Main Four. Hell, they've inserted at least three major characters over the course of the show's run, turning Mr. Garrison, Butters & Randy into major characters, with supporters like Jimmy, Officer Barbrady and others all being able to easily carry episodes. The Simpsons, the closest equivalent to South Park, has a similarly-huge supporting cast, but outside the main ten or so, you couldn't really fashion a whole episode around them.

-Bill & Fosse were recurring background goons in the early seasons of South Park, drawn much differently from the other children (before they added a lot of non-standard character designs to the series, they were among the few kids whose heads weren't circles). They typically chuckle to themselves while making fun of others, with Fosse always declaring something "gay" in a pejorative sense, to the point that he actually said "We're gay." after Bill pointed out something they were doing! They used to be seen in the classroom, but once the cast became more fully fleshed-out (with Butters, Jimmy and others joining the class), they disappeared into the hallways and playgrounds, where they never realyl mattered any longer. Matt & Trey themselves rarely refer to the characters by names- just calling them "The Bullies", "The Nerds" or the "'That's Gay' Kids".

-Bill & Fosse are dull-witted, thick-headed bullies, but not without their own capacity for physical aggression.

Not only that, they later tackle the double-standard when the elder party is a female.

"But she's ugly, right?"
"No, no... she's HOT."
"... NICCCCCCCE."
