They have Vibro-Blades and "a particle beam weapon knocked off from Triax", and I guess you're supposed to figure out what level that is.

-LOL, this one is TREMENDOUS. Perez draws his scratchiest, scuffed-uppiest armor, with FOUR ARMS, devil horns, tank treads for legs, and all kinds of hardware attached to it, just screaming "You want to play this", and it's the death troop of the insane Warlord Orloff. Because he worked with, then betrayed, some aliens, these units have gear that other nations do not possess. As you might imagine from something with HOLOCAUST in its name, these have a reputation for burtality and savagery. The love combat because it makes them "feel important" to dominate and kill others.

-HOLY GOD these ones are fearsome, though. Juicer-tier combat bonuses (two extra attacks, and +1 to hit, with +2 to parry) combined with 640 M.D.C., the best hardware seen so far (a Shoulder-Mounted Rail Gun doing 1D6x10 M.D., plus a scad of other built-in weapons), and more. These are PL 13.5 monstrosities who would wipe out everything else seen up until now.

Palladium Games' official webstore offers t-shirts with logos, catchphrases, and artwork from their game lines in sizes Men's Small to Men's XXXXXL. Yes, quintuple-extra-large.

Women's sizes are nonexistent, XXL or larger are back ordered, and the only available color for most of them is black.

I was curious just how big quintuple extra large was, so I googled “quintuple extra large.” The second and third results were links to the Palladium Books t-shirts...

I think this says an awful lot about the company's demographics... And makes me really want to hit the gym.

-Orloff's other Cyborg Shocktrooper is the equally-cruel Aftermath 'Borg. Top-heavy, hunched over and covered with spikes and chainsaws, this is straight out of Warhammer 40K and is beautifully horrifying. It's named for the fact that it tends to come in after the Holocaust 'Borgs in the first wave, leading the second wave of Cossacks, Reavers, and others.

-Aftermath 'Borgs are not quite as fearsome as the Holocaust, but are damn close, being just a notch less tough (so equal in M&M terms), having a +12 melee weapon, and +2 to hit and +3 to parry.

Thing is, the chainsaw bayonet, which WH40k had decades before Gears of War ever existed (see below), at least makes some sort of sense. You’re attaching a mêlée weapon as a backup to a ranged one.

This RIFTS® ‘Borg has attached a bayonet to a chainsaw. A mêlée weapon to a mêlée weapon... and its shorter than the chainsaw. Anything you could hit with the bayonet has already been hit by the chainsaw! It’s pointless! It’s gloriously, gloriously pointless.

The bayonet / chainsaw combo might make some sense if the chainsaw is retractable. Like, you use the bayonet to skewer the target, and once you've actually got them stabbed like that, if they don't die, you deploy the chainsaw, which slowly comes out and just cuts into whatever you've got stabbed. Could make for a nasty one/two punch that mitigates the chainsaw's unwieldy nature.

Granted, that's probably more thought than was put into it, but eh.

-This crazy, skinny winged-angel 'Borg with spikes where the eyes should be is the agent of Warlord Romanov, the female Warlord. It has sacrificed firepower for speed, and takes advantage of the superstitions of others, given how it "looks angelic" (um, okay).

-One of the only units that it's +15 Toughness, it has "only" 470 M.D.C. or so, and specializes in aerial warfare, being very quick and stealthy, expecting to dive down in sneak attacks (it's said to be silent below 20 mph). They do a respectable +11 in melee and can wield the same guns as others, but their main weapon is a Vibro-Scythe (making them more... like Death than an Angel, but whatever). Weirdly enough, their iconic Vibro-Scythe does the same damage their kicks do in combat, which seems like it should be an oversight- Kevin just loves piling on the weapons for stuff like this, making for a lot of superfluous material. An Avenging Angel 'Borg is only PL 10 on offense, but PL 12 to dodge.

-The duplicitious Warlord Seriyev, who rules via assassination and lies, of course uses an "Assassin" 'Borg. It's said to be the most commonly ripped-off design.

-Assassin 'Borgs have a ton of bonuses to hit, with an extra attack (it automatically gives you "Boxing", which I assume fits on EVERY character I build, since only deliberately non-competitive players wouldn't take that in Rifts), plus +3 bonuses to hit & parry. This all makes them PL 10 in melee & PL 12 at range and to parry.

This was always my favorite version of a Cosmo Knight. For M&M, i always thought of him as around PL 11-13(depending on how long said Knight was in service). I was just never in a level appropriate party to make him. :(
