That was my inclination. Going into the woods before dinner, we'd just have to wash up again

Agreed.Flynnarrel wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 6:19 pm We should probably do the mayor's house before seeing the old guy in the woods. As soon as we get cleaned up.

Here's the menu at the Boozy Badger
Breakfast, Fancy 2 sp
Supper 2 sp
Supper, fancy 8 sp
Dinner, the works 1 GP
Grapes, bunch 2 cp
Soup, bowl 5 cp
Beer, pint 5 cp
Beer, dark, pint 1 sp
malt, pint 2 sp
Wine, white, pint 2 sp
Wine, red, pint 2 sp
Wine, Orlane Special, pint 1 gp
Brandy, Keoish, gill 1 ep
And no, I have no idea what a Keoish is, or why their brandy is so insanely expensive.
If it's any consolation it's not important to the story ;~)

Will try to have something up tomorrow.
Work decided to have half of our staff working from home. Which means half of our staff is basically unable to assist and everybody on site has double the workload.
I am more than a little annoyed, but at least it's a steady paycheque.

Hey, I feel your pain on the work front.
I worked a job that was considered "critical" and they sent over half our staff to work from home while allowing departments that work in other countries to not have to work at all (don't ask me to explain why they can't work considering they do support work for us who do "critical work") and as a result we have NO work for half the day as three other departs "lend" workers to cover for the loss of workers.
In some regards I'm actually glad I just got fired from that job. I was getting to the point that I hated going into work everyday (and that was before the whole virus situation, that just made my feelings worse in all honesty). I mean sure, nobody likes getting fired but my piece of mind has been great since it happened (I mean, I just paid all of my major bills & have funds left, and who doesn't like a little vacation to properly enjoy the quarantine?) Good news is I've got a job interview already lined up and a couple more prospects following that up. Plus I still have a paycheck to receive from my former employer, so money isn't a huge issue.
Sorry, that last half just kinda came out of nowhere. Point being - know how you feel Arkrite. So no worries on my end of it all.

I'm sorry to hear you're stuck looking for a job, but I'm very happy to hear you got out of a horrible job.
I feel your pain, the last two companies I worked for just overloaded me, and worked me into the ground. After getting out life just seemed so much better.
The problem is I keep telling myself I won't let that happen again... and then I get a job where they pull that nonsense again.
I should have went to school to be a Veterinarian ;~)
Fingers crossed you find something soon. Something better than the last job! :~)

The good news is I just did my mandatory drug test and will find out in 3 to 5 days if I'm hired on. So it's looking good at the moment.

Best wishes, Bud.

I'd like to think that most places wouldn't bother with a drug test if they weren't seriously intending to make an offer. So fingers crossed!
Just working on a post to start dinner.

Yeah they aren't going to spring for the drug test unless they've already decided you're worth hiring. Those aren't free

Oh they made a job offer. It's contingent upon my passing the drug test (Not a problem), and a background check (again, not a problem). So I should be starting at the new job this Sunday.
