Georgia Fiddler
HP: 16
AC: 15

"Don't trip over yourselves to come when called."

Georgia forgoes magic and instead uses her own rapier hilt to try and imitate Aldan's move on the other fallen Monk.

OOC: Non-lethal attack on the other fallen Monk with Rapier.

2#1d20+5: 2 # 7 [1d20=2] 9 [1d20=4] to hit. On the off chance that hits (unlikely) 1d8+3: 10

Tyragorn
HP: 21 AC:18

Tyragorn hesitated, still not sure if the entire temple was corrupted. He wasn't prepared for three of them rushing out of the doors and jumped out, leading with his shield and swung his hammer at the one still standing.
Hammer attack: 1d20+5 13
Well, if that hits Hammer damage: 1d8+3 8

Aldan's hit impacts the downed monk with a brutal blow. The wounded monk curls into a fetal position and whimpers in pain, unable to move.

Georgia finds less success as she swings the hilt of her sword, the monk rolling to the left then the right, dodging the strikes with surprising dexterity.

The final standing monk turns to engage Aldan only to find himself face to face with a charging paladin. With a quick swift move he shifts out of the way of Tyragorn's shield, only to catch the hammer in the stomach. With a pained wheezing, the monk retreats back, bringing his staff into a defensive position between him and Tyragorn.
OOC: Aldan hits, and KOs his target.
Georgia misses.
Tyragorn attack connects, but the monk is still standing.
TM's up.

Zasio Blackthorn:
Objects of Interest: Goodberries (2 - each heals 4 hp)
You hear a response almost immediately, the sound of feet ring out from the halls. A few moments later the doors on both the east and the west side of the room burst open.

From the west side a robed monk hops over the tripwire at the last moment, as he rushes into the room, staff raised and snarl on his face.
Behind him another monk hits the trip wire and sprawls to the ground. On the east side a third monk hits the trip wire at the door and crashes to the ground, the impact sending his staff skittering across the floor.
Zasio steps out from behind the pillar with his bow readied with a quickly nocked arrow, taking a quick moment to aim at the monk not tripped, and let the arrow fly towards him.

Zasio's arrow flies true, catching the monk in the leg and sending him down in a heap clutching at his wound.

Jessica leaps to Georgia's aid, barely managing to clip the monk with her mace as the Monk rolled away and jumped to his feet. With his staff laying across the room he simply throws himself at Georgia, throwing wild punches at the bard and missing by a wide margin.
OOC: Zasio does five damage with his arrow (you get to add your dex to damage in this edition), which is enough damage to take that monk out of the fight. Since Tyragorn's damage was nonleathal, and Zasio didn't do enough damage to kill him in one shot, the monk is simply disabled by his wounds.
Jessica hits for 6 damage, but only just.
The last remaining monk gets to his feet, and takes a swing at the least armored foe in range, but I'm pretty sure an 11 is a miss.
It is now the player's turn again.

Seeing the monk close in on Georgia, Zasio lines up a fast shot trying to stop the monk's offensive efforts.

Aldan

Aldan finishes his 'spell' with a flourish. "Mass Sleep". he says.

The elven rogue will start separating the unresisting monks from their gear. "Bindings, gags, blindfolds." he advises as he works.

Zasio's arrow catches the monk high in the chest and he collapses yelling in pain and clutching at the arrow.
OOC: The last monk is now down, though still alive. Combat is concluded for now.

Tyragorn
HP: 21 AC:18

The rush of the fight left Tyragorn convinced that all these men were part of the evil taking over the temple. A simple call for assistance shouldn't have brought them running like that. "So which one is Abramo?" Tyragorn asked the obvious question while helping to tie up the downed enemies.

Aldan

Aldan points at the one who didn't trip over the traps and the one who may have been maintaining magics when he first came down.

"Him I think, if any of these are Abramo at all."Aldan says as he continues to remove any jewelry, cloaks, even boots if they are made especially finely. He didn't know what all might hold magic. "I was expecting, I guess,.... more... when we faced Abramo. Spellcasters given time to prepare..." Aldan shakes his head.

If he finds a '(un)holy' snake symbol as ornate or better on one of them might answer that question for them.

Tyragorn
HP: 21 AC:18

"Then if Abramo is a spellcaster, shouldn't we go find him before he has more time to prepare?" Tyragorn didn't know how they knew Abramo had magic but he didn't want to take time to talk about it if that was the case.

The monks have very little on them, only some basic rough robes, and the plain wooden quarter staffs they were carrying.
None of them carry any holy symbols, jewelry, or even tattoos.

"She called him Elder Abramo," Jessica says as she pulls out some rope to tie up the monks, "But these monks look only a little older than her. Unless Elder is just a religious title."

Aldan

"Yeah, Abramo's elsewhere." Aldan agrees reporting the lack of ornamentation to the others. "And while I agree we need to neutralize Abramo as a threat we need information more. Let's stash these guys in the lower right-hand room(s) and talk to Misha in the lower left room where we put her. Multiple eyes on her reactions would be good as I'm not sure we can trust what she says."

After a brief glance through the southeastern rooms to make sure there are no active threats they'll put the 3 bound/gagged/blindfolded monks in the lower right rooms then go to the lower left rooms to speak with the bound/blindfolded Misha.

Aldan's Spectral hand will tip a bit of water onto her face to wake her up while he stays several feet away just in case she had any word-only magics she could cast even without her snake pendent that she didn't need to see her targets for.

"Wake up." he says, not loudly but lacking warmth. "Some of us believe you an unwilling participant - coerced by blackmail or enchantment. While some of us... think that you have simply forsaken your vows and turned your back on the Goddess you swore fealty to." His tone indicates that he was [pretending to be] in the latter category. He punctuates this with a slide of dagger against rapier, the deadly steel-on-steel *shink* grating in the quiet in the room.

"Now your fellows were unhelpful. Some said your captives from the town were kept upstairs, some said downstairs. Can you shed light on the situation?" He lies confidently, watching her reaction for indicator whether he was touching upon the truth of it (up vs. down). It was a tactic of deception known by any who'd had frequent run-ins with the authorities who wanted to pit perspective criminals against each other.

"Further, tell us all you can of this place, quickly. The others told us of 'counter-measures' in place and if you don't expand on that I swear we will push you in front of us, hobbled, bound, and gagged as we bumble about so that you are first hit by projectiles or ambush." Again, he looks for taletell stiffening in Misha that may indicate that he was near the truth. "You have one chance to speak and we will tolerate no deception."

He prepares to have his Spectral Hand tip a splash more of water on her face should she try to deny it.

Aldan looks to the others to see if they had anything to add.

Tyragorn
HP: 21 AC:18

Tyragorn stood to the side, clearly uneasy with the method of questioning. The woman hadn't threatened or harmed them. He stood ready to interfere if Aldan crossed the line.
Tyragorn will intervene if Aldan tries to get physical

As you start moving people around there is a pounding sound on the door, and some yelling from the gardener. The doors hold, and the yelling fades.
By the time all three of the bodies have been moved there's the sound of barking from outside, and a louder pounding noise, sounding like something far more solid with a lot more weight is hitting the door.
The door continues to hold without showing much give at all during the pounding, obviously been put into place to prevent to resist just such an attack.

Misha's groggy at first but the longer Aldan talks the more angry she looks. She doesn't give any useful reactions to the elf's statements, her eyes simply fixated on Aldan's face as her own slowly turns more and more red.

Finally she spits in Aldan's direction.
"You will pay for what you've done," she glares at Aldan, "I have nothing more to say to you."

From outside something impacts with a solid whack. Again the door doesn't even shudder under the hit, but anybody who's had to cut their own wood will recognize the sound of an axe chopping into the wood.
OOC: That door is pretty thick, and was built to resist people breaking in, but it'll only hold the people outside back for a while. You probably have somewhere between 20 minutes to an hour before they'll break in.
