Aldan had stepped back to let Georgia try her thing. When it seemed to result in incoherent screaming and the bard had nothing further, the young elf steps up and uses the hilt of the goblin's dagger to strike its temple to knock it out.
[Damage + Sneak attack.]
He speaks loud enough to even be heard by the hostler who'd been encouraged to step away. "I think we can turn this creature over to the town constable now. I didn't want to spill blood in here and upset the horses. Given the goblin's hatred toward elven folk and its intimation of others of its ilk, I think we should head to the nearby cabin. Agreed?"

The goblin folds instantly under the blow, putting an end to the noise.

"Oh, thank you, kind sir, thank you," He says when Aldan indicates he doesn't want to alarm the horses, "Should I take the beast off to Constable Grover for you?"

Tyragorn
HP: 13

Tyragorn frowned. "We should take the thing out of town and put it down before it can cause more trouble. It's obviously mad. There's no need to make the constable do it."

"Well, it's up to you fine sirs, but the Constable rarely has anything to do other than break up a drunk brawl," Kilian looks up as a thought crosses his mind, "Or I could just drag it off out of town and kill it myself, iffin you're too busy."

Aldan

"Let's let the good constable do it." Aldan says, reaching to one of the goblin's bound hands. On the opposite side so the townie can't see what he's doing, with the knife he snips off one of the long fingernails of the creature from it's smallest finger, not injuring the thing to risk it wakening. In a low tone for just his companions he says "It'll be a test of the constable. I've marked this goblin. If we encounter this one again we'll know Glover let it go and has been compromised or replaced. Agreed?"

If there are no objections, Aldan will indicate that the stablehand should, indeed fetch the constable. Either way it would give them unobserved time if the group wanted to come to a different decision.

If no other voices wished to be heard on the matter they could progress to the elves's cabin.

Kilian seems to misunderstand your request to a degree. In that instead of going to bring the Constable back he instead ties a rope to the goblin's ankle and proceeds to drag the creature off to find the Constable.

Outside the quite streets of Orlane greet you as you make your way back to the small cabin by the Mayor's house.
OOC: Good time for some notice/perception checks.

Aldan

Aldan is excited about the prospect of actually seeing the elves to be super attentive.

The trip to the cabin is uneventful. The occupants of the guest house appear to still be away, and anybody who looks in the window can confirm that the place is empty.
Once you're there the challenge becomes finding any signs of the goblins. From the main walk it's hard to see anything that would give you a hint if any had been in the area.

Zasio has better luck on following the goblin's trail, however. The trail leads through the tall grass behind the stables, all the way around the shoreline to the north of the guest house, then through the trees across the path to the south of the Mayor's house.
As you get closer Georgia can spot the location by the tree where something had bedded down in the grass for a period of time. Based on the signs Zasio can tell that this area has been used like this for a couple days.

The trail continues to the east, north of the Tailor's shop and straight into the river. Normally finding a trail once somebody has gone into the water can be difficult, but the trail starts up almost exactly on the same spot on the east side of the river. From there the trail goes just to the north of the blacksmith's shop and splits off. One goes north, and one seems to go towards the abandoned Foaming Mug Inn sitting right across from the blacksmith's shop.

Aldan

When Zasio indicates more than one trail Aldan will ask if he can tell if there were multiple goblins or do we just have one particularly mobile goblin.

As soon as the trail leads to the old Foaming Mug Aldan seems self-satisfied. He'd mentioned several times wanting to come here. Aldan takes a crowbar from his burglar's pack and offers it to Tyragorn as the strongest among them. He readies his short bow while handing a vial of oil to his spectral hand to carry.

Zasio can see at least three distinct footprints on the trail, but it's hard to guess how many goblins exactly with them crisscrossing one another. Though it is clear to him that this trail has been used quite a bit in the last little while, and shares that information with the others.

Tyragorn
HP: 13

Tyragorn took the crowbar and sized up the door. He doubted he needed the tool but it wouldn't hurt. "Ready or do you want to look in a window first?"
