Iona does not read as alive to Hitori, nor does he see her as food. Mechanically, this is explained by the fact that Levi's brain is encased in non-living material. Blocking the ability to sense it without Penetrate.

Dr. Sokolov does not currently read as alive, given he is encased in armor. But you know he is, so Hitori still perceives him as food.

Those who underwent Ascension read as alive, but not food. Which feels confusing.

EDIT:
A heads up, while I intend to get a post in, I am not feeling great today. The post may lack some of my usual energy.

Some things I am going to point out: There are pieces of Costa's body that are missing. Her nanites are burning out from energy overload. She was screaming before she went unconscious. It is very likely that waking her up would mean she would consciously experience horrible agony.

Yeah...I thought about that and the fact that giving her an additional infusion of energy (say in the form of an electric shock) would only hasten the destruction of her overloaded nanites.

Edit: I'll post again some time before noon tomorrow.

A question about Damage for those more knowledgeable in mechanics than myself: Does the negative modifier you receive from a failure carry over into resistance checks against allow Damage, regardless of the Defense Trait used? For instance, initially someone takes a penalty from a Toughness check. Would that -1 the receive affect a Damage effect that requires Will, instead of Toughness?

This is what I am reading from the book under the Damage effect: Failure (one degree): The target has a –1 circumstance
penalty to further resistance checks against damage.

Yes, it would. Damage resistance is Damage resistance, you're just using a different trait than normal for the saving throw.

I am going to give Nareik until around noon, Pacifistic time, then I'll get an IC post up.

As for your cooling idea, Supernaturalist, the table does not have such options built in. However, Dr. Sokolov has tools as his disposal elsewhere that will assist in this. Once Iona has mentioned them, as you described her doing, he'll inform her of this.

My personal goal is going to be to get a post up before the end of the day. I do not mind waiting a until the afternoon/evening.

Sakuro, Do you want me to edit my post or simply assume that Iona retrieved the device/equipment necessary to cool the Colonel? If it's the latter, then we can assume that the dialogue toward Peter never happened.

If you want to do that, you can. Otherwise I will insert a remark from Dr. Sokolov about it so you can jump off that. Up to you.

EDIT:
What Iona want to attempt will also require an Expertise Science check.

I'll respond based on Dr. Sokolov's comments. I'll also add my Expertise:Science roll to my next comment.

Is it possible for Peter to Aid, for example, with Technology by providing information from the scanners?

I'll allow Peter to Aid using Technology, but at a -5 penalty.
