Sky Guard
HP: 7
Cnd: Healthy
Favored Environment: Defense Focus [24 to hit]

After dispatching the batch of criminals he was able to track down, quick mental math assured him that two remained. Gaining some altitude Sky Guard began an aerial search for the stray andromorphic gangers. When, if, he saw his targets Ven was prepared to dive down on them, using gravity to accelerate his descent and deliver a plummeting kick her and perhaps a swooping punch, adding spiraling twist to the maneuver to bleed off speed, to the second D-Block Boy as he recovered from his dive at the last seconds.
OOC wrote:Sky Guard will use a Move Action to look around for the D-Block Boys that made it outside of the opera house. Here is a Perception checks:
Perception to find D-Block Boys: 1D20+9 = [10]+9 = 19
Perception to find D-Block Boys: 1D20+9 = [10]+9 = 19

As a Standard Action he'll attack whomever he is able to. Using Power Attack -5 Atk/+5 Dmg and taking 10 on the attack, since they're Minions at this point. Which hit a 19 Parry. DC 27 Tough.

Sky Guard also have Takedown 2, and Move-by Action, which he'll use to try to take out both if they're close enough together.
OOC wrote:If Sky Guard does not see the D-Block Boys, the following takes place.
Unable to find the escaping mutated criminals Sky Guard continues her search in the sky to no avail. If he wasn't going to be able to track them down, better to keep law enforcement appraised. Radioing in on the channel used by the police they were working with he spoke over his comlink.

"Two violent mutated criminals with animal features have departed the opera house from the [insert direction] side. I have been unable to locate them."

Skyguard

Skyguard spots one of the gangimal crouched on a fire escape and takes him out easily. The other one appears to have vanished.
You take out one but fail to spot the other.

Since no one else in this group has an action, back to the top.

Kit Ferryman
HP: 0
Cnd: -1 damage

"So that was the plan? Turn all the thugs into beasts so we take them out and the florists get power? It's all so convoluted, but brilliant!", says Kit as he eyes one of the few remaining beast thugs groups and lets out dozens of portals spewing energy all around them. Looking at the numbers he nods at the others. "I'll let you go clean up here. Gott go see whats up with that one that escaped.", remarks Kit as he teleports out to a convenient viewing location outside.
Portal blast 28 PA +2/-2 rolled a 20 vs hot block gang. They need to make a DC 32 toughness save plus any multi attack extra damage

Kit

Teleporting up to the second-floor landing, your portal blasts rip through the Hot Block gang leaving a pile of unconscious gangimal members.
So that's full multi-attack bonus, and they roll...
Hot Block Gang TOU: 1d20+10-1 19
So out by lots.

This leaves only the Ride or Die Gang.

Arca-Knight

With the hot block gang disabled, Arca-knight turns back to the building and the last remaining gang.

The Ride or Die Gang is too close to others for her to use another wide area spell so she charges up one of her regular magical strikes to blast into their numbers.

OOC: Arcane Adept Assault: Damage +10 (extra: multiattack +1, range +1) vs Ride or Die gang: 1d20+10: 21 [1d20=11] DC25

Arca-Knight

Your missile blasts through them on a perfect trajectory, leaving them out cold or licking their wounds.
Ride or Die Gang TOU: 1d20+10-3 9
Down and out. Combat is effectively over.

Torako lets out a room-shaking roar the moment she registers there's no one left to fight.

"She played me like a cheap fiddle," She eventually growls while sulkily sauntering like the big cat she resembles, as her clarity returns. "Like she always does."

Angela
HP: 2
Condition: Normal

Angela dusts her hands after cleaning up the street gang with the most wannabe-edgy name in her short hero stint so far. And she is furious. "Looks like this was a trap designed for Torako personally. I guess the plan was to lure her here and let the mutant cannon fodder deal with her."

She looks around. "But we can't dwell on that. Oleander didn't steal all that liquid nitrogen for nothing - we must find the EMP and stop it."

OOC
If someone stole several truckloads of liquid nitrogen, I am thinking it might be detectable somehow. Dp you think you would allow a stunt of Senses to detect it, something like Infravision with a very long range (to see areas of abnormally low temperature)?

All

It is more likely this was a trap for the whole team. The setup took weeks for all of this to happen and Torako only just arrived in town. As Cronus mentioned, if someone wanted to move into town, they would need to deal with the newly formed superteam.

As for tracking the stolen goods, it's possible. But since the liquid nitrogen is stored safely, seeing it behind walls becomes tricky. And the city is huge.

Tamati "Taheka" Stevens
HP: 2 > 3 LP: 1
Condition: Bruise x 1

"Sweet, good work guys." Tamati called out prodding one of the unconscious beastman with a foot just to check it wasn't foxing.

Looking round the room Tamati closed his eyes, counted to ten in his head and then opened them again but the beastmen hadn't changed back to human.

"So do we call the police or animal control to take these guys away?"

Listening to Torako and Angela thoughts on the trap, Tamati just felt it was too well organised to be something thrown together on the spur of the moment.

"May be, may be not. This just seems too well planned to be something put together since Torako arrived in town and if you wanted to take over all the gangs in town, then turning their leaders into animals is a good start."

Sky Guard
HP: 7
Cnd: Healthy
Favored Environment: Defense Focus [24 to hit]

Sky Guard glides into the auditorium as words are exchanged between the Guardians and their feline ally. touching down he folds his large white wings neatly behind his back. When he speaks, the winged man is looking directly at Torako.

"It was a trap designed, and scripted, to exploit impulsive action. Learn from the experience and something will have been gained from the mistake."

Ven likely would have given Kit a stern look, if the roguish teleporter were present. Instead he moved on quickly, panning his gaze over the others.

"If any of you would like to take a look around, to see if insights can be gained from items left behind by the Black Rose Society, the rest of us can watch over the prisoners until the police have secured them. Kit, I believe, is chasing down the criminal that escaped."

His eyes linger a little longer on Angela and Arca-Knight when he speaks. As though to impart that they, specifically, might want to take a look around. Afterwards, he gives a quick call over the coms to the police.

"One of the mutated gang members has eluded us. Kit is currently in pursuit. The rest have been dispatched. We will keep people on site until you have secured them."
OOC wrote:Do the mutated people still have those golden pins on?

If anyone has a creative idea for a Power Stunt that might help us track down the Black Rose Society, Sky Guard can counter the Fatigue from using Extra Effort.

All

The gold pins are obliterated. They were apparently gold plating around the mutagenic compound and a small explosive designed to spread the compound over the person to gain maximum exposure.
I think we have established that no one has Investigate. Everyone can try to make an amazing INT check and/or PER check in place of it.

Now that things had calmed down, Taheka took the opportunity to have a good look round and try to make sense of what had happen earlier.

Taheka

As Taheka stretches his body around the theater, he is able to find multiple wireless cameras hidden around. They are clearly focused on the center area where the heroes burst into recording the events.

Tamati "Taheka" Stevens

Tamati quickly told everyone in the team of what he had found and made sure not to change back to human until they were back at their HQ.
