Sanzel steps in after Skyguard finishes and says that they are still going to be taken on their promised tour of the facility.

He then escorts the reporters away from the stage and into the main building.

If anyone follows, Sanzel shows them the main area and the training area. He shows them the upstairs area and points out the rooms, but leaves all of the doors closed so none of the reporters can see into any of your chosen rooms.

He also deflects questions, rather masterfully, away from any accompanying heroes.
With the two bonus successes from Skyguard and Kit, that means that Arca Knight and Taheka also pass.

You can follow the reporters or do your own thing during the tour.

During the tour, the reporter who asked Juno the "God" question trips on the first stair and falls backward crashing into his own cameraman. The two go crashing to the floor damaging the equipment and forcing them to leave with no footage at all.

One the first stair is a peacock feather.

"I'll explain later," Juno mutters to her team, able to resist the urge to facepalm but clear she's neither surprised nor impressed.

still, she makes a note to thank her godmother later, because that guy WAS a jerk

Kit Ferryman
HP: 0
Cnd: Fine

His teammates were clearly bothered by the media and for good reason, but Kit was used to it. After the press conference, he even came by to say hi to some of the assembled press who weren't clearly hostile. A lot of stuff about him was known already thanks to various fan blogs and the occasional tabloid report, so he wasn't too concerned with dishing on smaller questions. Anything too deep in terms of questioning, he would brush it off and let Sanzel handle it.

One of the things he had learned doing press events before was that it was never just the press conference. There was the one on ones, quick follow ups, ambushes, and if he played his cards right dinner plus more with attractive female reporters. The later he wasn't looking for at this event. he had to keep his focus on not being stupid. Clearly, someone was looking for him to fail so he wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of it.

Following along with the press on the tour, he stayed closer to an attractive green eyed black hair cub reporter who looked to be fresh out of grad school. She was apparently interning for some online paper Kit had never heard about that couldn't be bothered to send a proper staff reporter. While Kit giving her some extra attention made her blush at first, she quickly warmed to his charm and he even got her number after it was all over despite her having a girlfriend already. Elise Ross 555 555 3960, Kit made sure to put it in his jacket pocket. She already had his number somehow apparently. His public one at least his fans called sometimes.

After it was all over, he went to grab another beer and sync up with the others,

Sanzel took over managing the press on the tour, and Sky Guard offered no objection. Leaving the stage he waited nearby, until the press had departed and Acra-Knight was leaving the stage with the rest of the Guardians. Lifting a gloved hand he gestured for her to step aside with him, and moved to an out of the way location where he could speak with her in some degree of privacy.

"You doing alright? They didn't go easy on you."

Condition: Normal

Feeling disappointed with himself for the way he had got flustered during the Q&A with the pack of reporters Tamati tagged along at the back of the group for the tour of the facility, it was also a good way for him to remember where everything was again,

Trying not to laugh at the sight of one of the more obnoxious reporters tripping over his own feet, maybe he stood on his shoelace ... nope the guy was wearing slip-ons ... what a klutz, Tamati started to come out of his shell even managing to crack a joke or two about his accent and how no one could understand what he was saying when he was behind the podium.

Still he had to admire Kit's style was that one or maybe two different numbers he had been given, next time he would have to give it a try himself.

Arca-Knight inhales deeply and then lets out a long sigh. "I'm frustrated and annoyed... and my feelings are a little hurt but I'll manage. I was both the weird kid in school and I've worked retail in the past, dealing with cruel small-minded idiots and bullies is nothing new. I'm probably going to scream into my pillow for a while later when they are far, FAAAR away from here. One of the draw backs of being a magic user is you have to be careful about cursing people out as there's the possibility of laying actual curses. Anyways, I'll be okay. Eventually."

She gives Skyguard a slight smile. "Thanks for asking."

Arca-Knight immediately recognizes the intervention of a powerful magical entity for what it is. She's also read a lot of mythology books over the years. Connecting the dots isn't difficult.

She does her best to stifle her laughter at the sight until the gaggle of reporters were out of earshot. "That made me feel significantly better."

OOC: Arca-Knight has Magic Awareness, so I think she can recognize divine intervention when it happens.

Ven's brow furrowed slightly as the young woman shared something of her history of persecution and humiliation. No comment on the topic was made directly, but his expression indicated that he was listening.

"If you end up needing someone to vent to, or should you want to go flying, you may call on me."

After the offer was made he extended a hand to pat Arca-Knight on the shoulder in a supportive fashion. Then he parted ways with her, and left the building proper behind so as to get some alone time in the more open spaces of the property.

Arca-Knight smiles at him. "Thanks, I might just take you up on that sometime. Especially the flying. Of all the things I can do with magic it has to be one of the most fun."

Angela
HP: 2

Angela chooses to follow Sanzel and Taheka during the media tour. She is not convinced that a hostile and mischievous press will behave on such a tour. Someone to keep an eye on them would help keep them in line, she figures.

It turns out that it is not necessary, because Sanzel handles them just fine. He is evidently well-versed at dealing with the press; in fact, watching him shepherd the reporters along, it strikes her that she could learn a thing or two from him. Recalling everything she heard and read about him before coming to the Gulf Coast, Angela wonders again whether their benefactor is sincere, or just putting on a very, very well-acted front. Her neural matrix keeps returning a result of "INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR MEANINGFUL ANSWER".

At this juncture she wishes for Bryan to talk to. But of course, she's just given him an urgent need for a cold shower. Instead she (gently) punches Takeha in the shoulder.

"They were very hard on you back there," she says to him, eyeing the tripped-over reporter warily. "A surprise attack by villains and now a conference with obviously hostile reporters. Someone doesn't want us in town. Do you think it's us they're after, or is it really Sanzel?"

Smiling genuinely for the first time in what felt like ages "Thanks Angela .. it wasn't what I expected but to be honest they were a lot harder on you. I am amazed you didn't blast them or kick their butts out the door, you had every right to do so "

Still looking over at the fallen reporter Tamati's voice had a note of amusement in it "Karma ... says it all doesn't it. I honestly don't know it could be someone who just hates supers especially those without blonde hair and a million dollar smile or you are right they want Sanzel and we are just in the way. Make us look bad and Sanzel looks bad as well, I just really don't like that sort of thing."

Later, after the media have left and the team are preparing their first dinner together, Juno speaks up

"When the reporter tripped," she says, "I said I'd explain later, so now I am. What one of the reports said is more true than anyone knows. I literally have no father. Keira Faircraft is my mother... My other mother was the mighty Amazon, a superhero like ourselves, Ven. They loved each other so much that the goddess Hera herself not only blessed it and oversaw their marriage, but gave them the gift of me, their own daughter. they chose Hera's roman name for me, and... Hera is my godmother. She watches over me, will sometimes do me a 'favor' like tripping that reporter, and sometimes she comes for a visit or to seek my aid in... god stuff. So, she may show up here in intrude on your lives as well. She can be exasperating, but she means well, and only has a problem if you're one of Zeus' bastards"

Helping himself to a bowl of salt and vinegar chips that was laying about Tamati listened to Juno's explanation, wow an actual goddess was watching over her.

"That is amazing and wow must have made growing up a lot of fun. So does that mean the other Greek Gods are real as well?"

Tamati left unasked the question if the Greek Gods are real did that mean Tane, Maui, Tangaroa and the others were also real.

"It had its moments," Juno muses, "and yes. Ares in particular, who was mother's... the Amazon's greatest enemy. So, you understand that I don't want to make my connection to her public yet."

When Juno made it apparent there was something personal and important that she wanted to share with the group Sky Guard stopped eating his fruit salad and set down his eating utensil. She had his attention. He listened, and as Juno's explanation of her heritage, as well as the impact her familial ties were likely to have on those around her, a troubled look came over Ven's face. The fair haired man did not say anything, not at first. Finally he offered a response.

"If you encounter trails you cannot face alone, let me know. I will help how I can. Otherwise … are there any precautions you feel we should take?"
