Lana finishes her mojito in one large gulp. She stands up and walks over to a guard. He nods and gives a look at you. He walks down the stairs for a few minutes before three guards, two men and a woman who are all rather large, walk toward your table. "Your interview begins in a few minutes. Follow us." They walk around you, guiding you toward the secure area downstairs.

"This isn't a setup, Lana, right?" She says with a laugh. "You didn't tell them I was trouble but say it was an interview, right?"

When the three muscles walk over, she picks up her drink. "So fast? Great. Can't wait to meet Omar." She gets up to follow them.

The Hangman makes note of the office, Vincent giving him the silent command to take a peak around once it's occupants left the room. It in the meanwhile relegated itself to observing the strange 'flirtimidation' antics of Massari and Kreutz.

Vincent felt a bit of sudden realization that acting was perhaps not his forte. He may've had experience once upon a time, but that was fora televised audiance and not a casino full of people antsy to kill him at the first sign of him not playing by the rules. For now, he'd instead relegate himself back to his own meager skill at gambling while hoping for the best, giving himself a 5,000 chip limit so as to not suddenly find himself in the red.

In an effort for his time on the floor to not be completely useless, he again had the girl's spirit make a loop around the casino looking for anything that'd be useful for their mission's goals.

Not sure what you want me to roll for regular gambling, but I hope it's better then a +1

Your steps on the metal and concrete steps give a dull clink as you descend into the basement. The first room you quickly move past appears to be a break room of sorts. There are three armed security guards here. They tighten up a bit at seeing you, but are quickly waved down by the female guard escorting you. The next room you pass through is clearly an armory. The weapon racks lining the wall include heavy pistols, uzis, automatic rifles, a grenade launcher, ballistic vests, and drugs. (Give me a treatment or appropriate expertise check to identify the drugs.)

Moved along quickly and past the first of several metal doors, you are brought past a set of monitors set into the wall above three tables. There are several servers under the tables that appear to be rigged to some sort of electronic capacitor system. The panels seem to surround the outside of the casino and extend for a surprising distance. You get the sense that there isn't anything in the nearest three blocks that the casino isn't aware of. Because of the extent of the coverage, the cameras must be wireless. (Give me a perception check DC 25)

You are brought past those cameras into a smaller water closet that you suspect go to the bathrooms above (labeled black water, cold, hot). There is a small access panel that leads to whatever location deals with the plumbing. Finally you are shuffled into a large office. There are several chairs surrounding a desk. Before it is an African-American man in his late twenties or early thirties. He is dressed professionally in a suit. The suit itself is larger than his apparent size as beneath it is a metallic exosuit. It is similar in construction to the ones the police were using yesterday morning. This one has been modified to take additional attachments. Next to his desk are one of those attachments, an auto-cannon with grenade launching capacity. The suit is definitely not street legal.

Keeping his smile present, affable despite his threatening gear, Omar Freeman sizes you up and down. "What are you good for?"

For his second time looking around the casino floor: 16
Vincent decided to stop pressing his luck at this table and started playing fair. [Luck roll: 12] He was hardly a master of bluffing, but was able to hold his own and didn't lose anything substantial.

Kruetz grabbed Massari's hand (claw?) and began to push it down while keeping his eyes locked in on her's

[Contested strength check (Massari: Kreutz) 26:18]

Kreutz and Massari both pressed hard against each other. Initially both seemed excited and competitive, but this look changed as Kreutz realized that he couldn't budge her claw from his sternum. As rage began to take over, a couple of brief sparks jumped across his knuckles.

"Uh... That's enough. Let's save that for the ring." Quinn Herrera waved off the two, his confidence seemingly shaken a bit. Margo smiled wide. "Alright, the fight begins at 1PM. That leaves the two of you..." Quinn trailed off as he logged into his computer. "An hour and a half to prepare. Part of your job Massari is to sell yourself. So I'd like you to go to the ring and strut your stuff so to speak. Margo here can show you what I mean." Margo nodded and began to lead Massari toward the ring.

"Kreutz, you should probably"

The Shocker cut him off "I know my #$@!ing business. Keep out of it!" He stormed out and past Massari, slamming the office door on his way out. Quinn, a bit worried, began to sit down in front of his computer an continue his work.

The Hangman observes the confrontation with sedate interest, and watches in silence for several secconds after Shocker leaves. Something inside it's mind clicks just in time with his head twisting a full 90°. One cursory look over Quinn's shoulder was given, before the spirit phased itself out of the office and followed behind the agitated man. Ten long feet of frayed roped trailed behind him, twitching every which way, as if in search of something... Or someone.

Let's mix it up with Outside the casino.

As for what the Hangman is doing... Tell me, are there any lingering spirits in the area? Anyone who seems to have died via... Electrocution perhaps?

At this point, Breach looks through the wall of the room behind Omar to see the room she saw the door to but they didn't go into. (The purple one on the map. Quinn shakes briefly as a chill runs down his spine. The hangman gets a look at the computer screen and sees several emails present. One he seems to be writing begins with a series of harsh words regarding Margo. Apparently he seems to worry that he is being replaced and Quinn is not happy about that. The monstrous specter then began to follow Kreutz as he stomped his way to a small workout area near the ring. He walked to the largest punching bag available and swung.

[Attack Roll - Electric Jab: 18] [Toughness Resistance:24 VS 23]

The bag swung, but there was little in the way of damage. Massari walks by and moves to the ring. As she walks by she says, "That's all you've got?"

"I'm going to cook you up $%#@! and see what you taste like!"

You move your consciousness back into yourself as Massari begins stretching and preening herself in a manner that is... suggestive. You begin to focus on the nearby spirits of the casino. The number here is staggering and several try to talk to you at once. Some are looking for revenge, some for help with their unfinished business, some simply want company. You find three spirits whom, by their apparent spiritually transferred injuries, died due to electrocution and bludgeoning. Each of them still have a bit more fight left in them.

[Treatment Check 15:20] Breach immediately recognizes one of the drugs present as Hyper-Cocaine. Some of these guards might be capable of extreme speed given the side effects. The other drug is a bit more exotic, but you get the idea that it is also of a performance enhancing nature.

[Perception check 24:25; Damned shame that. You'll get a couple more chances at that info though :)]

Breach uses her eyes for the first time in this casino. While the area is covered in runic symbols (which you see as paint with weird materials), there are several areas down here which allow for your eyes to see through. The plating they are putting up to prevent sight like yours from penetrating is largely incomplete and so you can see up into the arena, with a very angry Kreutz giving a punching bag his all. In the room you had not been in, you see a chair with fittings for restraints. There are several additional chairs surrounding a metal table. Another metal end table has a set of powertools and needles.

Speach wasn't something the Hangman was normally capable of, it simply didn't come naturally to the poltergeist anymore after almost two hundred years of mental deterioration. Instead when he was 'pleased' by something, he began shake his head and clack his teeth together in quick succession. The incessant clicking sound rose in frequency and volume as he started to loom over his fellow murderer, tendrils beginning to split off from the frayed end of his rope and snake through the air. Then they tugged, just lightly, on the spectral forms of Kreutz's kills. There was an open invitation that his master had deemed fit to offer them, a chance to get back at their once opponent. A proposition to instill that same terror they once felt back upon their killer.

I'd like to create a Haunting against Kreutz, using the spirits already present to give it an extra kick.

Vincent pushed a stack of chips into the looming pile. "I raise fifty." His hand was decent, but this next play would determine the true victor. From the shadows, he could hear the whispers of an almost excitable child, telling him every little thing she was seeing just outside. Some of it, perhaps, was actually useful.

Perception: 27 Wow, nicely done little girl.

[OOC: We will work out the details of the haunting on the OOC thread]

The girl, urged on by the force of your will, began to search the nearby streets. She quickly honed in on a blonde woman that was dressed in a suit that was a bit more high class than most people in the area could likely afford. Five blocks away, this woman walked toward a sitting red-brown Lincoln motorcar that was idling by the road. She walked to the window and knocked three, one and two times while leaning over just enough to be seen by the driver. The man shifted over and unlocked the door, opening it while unbuckling himself at the same time. The specter entered inside and sat in the back seat as the woman sat down in the passenger side.

The man was none other than Detective Frank Breckenridge. "Nice to see you have arrived Renee."

"We are on the job. Call me ADA Callenholt."

"Sorry. I apologize. ADA Callenholt doesn't sound quite as good as DA Callenholt though."

"We can talk about my political prospects later. Have you made contact with your undercovers? We go in at 4 PM. Everyone is ready on my end, I need to make sure your people know to be ready too."

Frank sighed, annoyed by the question. "Of course my undercovers know. This isn't my first rodeo."

"You make me feel that way sometimes. I still have no idea who these people are. You came to me two weeks ago and told me that you have undercover cops on the inside. Despite this, I have never seen a single picture of these people. The clock is ticking. My men need to know who is on their side. It is a terrible time to find out who I am protecting after the bullets are flying."

"We have lost five CIs in the last six months trying to bring these guys down. The only reason I can keep my men and women safe is if no one knows who they are but me."

"Another thing. I have been having a bad feeling."

"I thought you operated on facts alone. Feelings don't get convictions I think you said."

"I said you can't get a conviction on only feelings. I have a question and I want you to tell me honestly. You put away that stupid idea about using criminals to take them down right?"

Frank shifted uncomfortably. "I got your message on that idea. I thought it was a good one."

"Really? Offer supervillains favors so they can risk their lives here. Do you have any idea how many laws that would violate? We are responsible for their safety. Not to mention that freeing psychopaths to take down different psychopaths would be about as irresponsible as 95% of 80s movies."

"I heard your argument the first time."

"Also, I noticed that you didn't say no."

"No. I didn't use criminals to break open this case. Everyone in there is a bad guy. My undercovers won't even be in the building when the raid goes down."

[Deception check: 22 vs 23]

Renee went stone faced. She had trained herself to always keep her emotions to herself when interrogating someone. She knew Frank was a liar, and a damned good one. You have to be to work Vice for as long as he has. As good a liar he is, Renee just caught him. His tension in his shoulders. His stone faced staring into her eyes. Anyone else would have bought it, but Renee saw through it. Did... did this mother$#%@er do what I think he did? If so, her life became a lot more complicated.

Feigning relaxation, Renee stared forward, trying to think about her next move. "I have more to attend to. I need names of the undercovers as soon as possible. They will be necessary for prosecution."

"I told you before. We will have more than enough evidence without the undercovers."

"And I said before, I don't want to see everything we have been working toward thrown out because of a botched warrant. It isn't enough to identify the prick behind this, we need to make sure they stay behind bars." With that, Renee got up and walked out of the car.

[OOC: Two questions. Do you stay with Breckenridge or follow Renee? Also, I need an insight check (DC 15) to see if your character noticed Renee's disposition.]

"Well, of course, we acquired out abilities at the same time. So I don't know what you might need either of us for here. We're better at getting in and out of places. Not sitting around watching places. But we don't have time to get into the specifics. We should have this conversation somewhere else. You ever of a Detective Frank Breckenridge? Not sure what department he works for. But I have knowledge that he's interested in taking down your games here."
