This. You play a successful adventurer in an inn, blowing off steam with your fellows, trying to get them drunk or broke (all in good fun). It involves drinking and gambling and occasionally (accidentally) hurting each other (like when the half-ogre barbarian, Gog, asks you to dance). There are expansions that let you play a pirate crew, bad guys, even the inn's staff. It's fun.

I wanted to give him an odd quirk. He doesn't need much in the way of equipment, and he makes far more adventuring, so giving away his arena winnings to orphans fit the bill well.
The sneaking in like some sort of metal war machine Santa was just a fun coincidence that I could pull it off.

Hey boardgamer !
It's what my friends and I do when we aren't roleplaying.
Neat take on the Warforge. Interesting "race". Our DM doesn't like using materials if it isn't in a book. Eberron looks like it would be a cool anime dnd world

Re: On the road (D&d 5E Recruiting Closed)
I had meant to kick off the adventure proper, but I've got a situation with a new hire at work that's been putting a bit of a strain on my after work energy for do much of anything that requires effort. It's been affecting all my game posting, try as I might.
Sadly I don't have the authority to directly affect the situation, but it is being worked on, its just one of those processes that takes time.
I'll try and get the post to kick along the story soon.

That's fine, gives us a little bit more time to get I to our new personas I say. Take your time man.
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

Masterpiece. Also, accurate.

Just a heads up that I'll be at a wedding this weekend, so posting will be hard for me through about Monday.

Re: On the road (D&d 5E Recruiting Closed)
Any problem with us (or those of us who wear armor) to have had it on and battle-ready enough during dinner?
Salazar could have had his scale on under the fine robes. This isn't a problem for Heart or Kaine. Even Exile could've conceivably been wearing his leather while travelling and dining. Maybe this is a good reason why the bard was still regarded with derision even after washing up and donning nice clothes - people could still hear the muffled clink of scale when he moved?
Do the altercations seem close enough we don't have to get our horses?

Only Salazar made a note of cleaning himself up, but keeping his scale on under his robes is fine. It would be obvious because it's medium armor, so probably able to hear it, and also be able to visibly tell he's wearing armor under his robe (if it was light, I'd say much less notable).
As for the altercation, don't worry about that. You'll see why momentarily.

Yeah this a thing at table top games too. It wouldn't bother me so much but as the guy who usually plays a user of magic, I get a little irritated when a DM gets cranky about if or when I cast Mage Armor but the Paladin can eat sleep and apparently bath in her chainmail.Flynnarrel wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 8:19 am Any problem with us (or those of us who wear armor) to have had it on and battle-ready enough during dinner?

Speaking gods and purity I hope our Cleric and Paladin are following close behind?
