Waverunner
hp 1 cond: perky

Waverunner flips a chair around and sits into it backwards, leaning against the back.

"So.. Officer? Smith, what can you tell us about the badguys? Maybe by looking at them we can figure out the target? Maybe someone or something they have a special hate on for?"

A warm smile, lots of teeth, a brightness to her eyes, "I'm not so good with the Google Fu. Well, not so great with the tech side of things. Phone don't like me for some reason. I'm pretty decent looking at a crime scene and seeing how things went though. I'm sure that the feds have someone better at it."

She pauses, a dimply blush, "Oh yeah, I'm Waverunner. Professional beach bunny and part time P I A for the Coast Guard. Mostly search, rescue, counter smuggling, you know.. lots of water things. A veces ayudan a gente agradable a venir a los Estados Unidos." A tilt of her head to the side.

An impish grin as she looks towards Mangrove and Croc. "Sorry, my fingers are itching. Do you mind if I do something real quick?"

Waverunner gives a bright grin and just about skips over towards Mangrove. She reaches out bravely, stroking her soft, warm hands over his woody exterior. She closes her eyes, a soft coo on her lips as she enjoys the incredible firm leathery feeling of the bark, the scent of the sweet fragrance.

With a smile, she takes a step back, blue eyes bright.

"Thank you. That was incredible."

MANGROVE HP: 1, Condition: Normal

As Waverunner ran her hands over him Mangrove tilted his head. His still humanlike features displayed curious amusement.

Mangrove's wooden brow creased with an audible creak; an expression of mild confusion. "Anytime Waverunner. It was not....unpleasant." he replied with a stoic tone that belied his quizzical look.

Mozou
HP : 1
Condition : observant

One member of the team, Mozou, aka 'Maxine Viridans', stood quietly in the corner, using her blending power to be concealed from sight. It was a habit she'd picked up years ago - since she didn't have many offensive or defensive powers natively, if a fight broke out, she might be reduced to a grease stain on the floor before she had a chance to do anything. And who gets to be leader can lead to quite the vicious fighting sometimes.

Fortunately, this group seemed to work rather smoothly so far.

"And what a rather - interesting - group we've got here !" she noted to herself.

But I wonder what we'll be facing ...
"They're apparently led by a man calling himself Doctor Might. He appears to be an evil Captain Miracle wannabe: flight, strength, resistance to injury. There are two 'animal people'," Rodriguez looked at King Croc, "A man called Narwhal, and a teenaged girl called Elephanteen."
Hmm - animal totems generally have few powers to borrow. Best keep them at range.
He paused, and then continued, "There's one who's fast and strong, with an oversized mouth. Apparently he can conduct electricity through his bite. He's called Shockin' Gnaw.
Mozou's eye twitched, wondering WHO came up with that name. She would've facepalmed, but the noise might give away her position.
There's a mad roller derby skater called Derby Doll. There's a flying speedster whose costume is covered with razors using the name Racer Blade. And there's one with the name Brownian Movement."

The other Strikeforce officer who had been escorting Parsons gave a loud snort as he swallowed an outburst of laughter. Rodriguez and Parsons both gave him dirty looks.

"Apparently it's a scientific term, and his powers have to do with him controlling his molecular cohesion," Rodruiguez then finished. Pasons glanced at Phase at this point.
"Those are the sorts of things Dr Green created me to deal with !!" Mozou noted to herself, "Defeating those with powers diverse, numerous and bizarre. He was just a decade or so too early !

Hmm - I wonder if I do well here if they'll cut fifty or more years off his jail time. That would still leave a few centuries, but every little bit helps !"

She listened to Magnaflux's plan.

"That sounds like an excellent strategy." she stated as she shut off her concealment, revealing a tanned, athletic woman in her thirties with spiky brown hair (and about as nondescript and average looking as humanly possible). "Sorry for not speaking up earlier. My name is Mozou. Power mimic with a hint of octopus powers."

Smith came back to the room with a box of radios.

"Sorry about that, uh - Wave Runner, you had asked about what we knew knew about the Eight-Dread. I'm sorry, I don't really know more than what Jack told you before." He then paused.

"But, we do know that the assassinations in Washington were pinpoint," he continued. "I mean, the two of them meeting in a private office in the Capitol Building, ninety minutes before they had to actually be there? Having a 'very private meeting', if you get my meaning, with both of their Secret Service details in the next room. I figure the double-hit had to be planned by someone on the inside, someone who knew the two of them were... y'know... It had to be someone close. And unless the Eight-Dread have a secret telepath, my personal guess is that they were hired talent."

Magnaflux
Hero Points: One.
Conditions: None.

Seth turned, nodded to the newest member of the team, "Welcome. Please join us. Thinking about operational range, what was the distance between the mall and the assault? Perhaps they too are dealing with operational constraints that would require them to stay within a certain range of each team. Insertion site, exit strategy, we can't know for sure but it may be useful to keep in mind. Do any of our potentials fall within a similar radius of Orlando?"

As he spoke, he walked over to the collection of radios that Smith had returned with, attaching the radio to a hip, while inserting an ear bud.

Wraith
HP:1 Cnd: Pondering

Stephyn listened as the others planned. As different scenarios and possible target were discussed, a thought occurred, "Has anyone looked for a connection to the two slain in regards to Florida? Did they have any project or involvement with any of the places on the lists? " After a little pause, "And we should also consider things not necessarily legal..."

Waverunner
hp 1, cond: perky

Waverunner steps up to Smith, grabbing some of the radios and starting to pass them out to the team.

"Yeah, I'm having a really easy time coming up with ideas on places and things, much harder to come up with places that would be of interest to them. Like, there's a major bikini contest this weekend. Or the new baby orca at Sea World? Or there's a county fair and pie eating contest that I've heard is a lot of fun. Just a really hard time thinking that any of them would be of interest to anarchist types."

She pauses a moment, "But.. don't you have at least an idea of what the Eight-Dread can do? Abilities wise? Give us some idea of what we're going up against?"

Smith nodded as Phase restated who the villains were. "And as far as the deceased candidates go, they've both visited here in the past, either in business dealings or speaking engagements, but nothing lasting, and the same goes for the surviving nominees. I don't see how it could be tied to the election this time, as we examined those options before you were called in."

Mozou
HP : 1
Condition : normal

"The Quartet mentioned something earlier" Mozou noted, " From a civilian perspective,'they wish to sow chaos and disorder, and they wish to hinder the progress of anything major! We have two appropriate locations presented before us: They'll either seek to sabotage the second Mars Mission to hinder the progress of man, or they'll aim for the Miami-Dade Police Department, and attempt to cause a mess at the ceremony and destroy police-force morale.'

But that CSI meeting is in two days; Eight Dread are going to act today. And sabotaging a rocket launch is rather flashy. And they would have a guaranteed huge audience, since there is no easy way to indefinitely delay something that major."

Waverunner frowns towards Phase, "Yes I was listening earlier. I was hoping that there was more information. Like what can Elphateen and Narwhal do? Any special speedster tricks from the other two? I dunno, their the feds, hoping that they had huge amounts of information on the supers and how to take us all down if we go rogue, or something. You know, kinda hoping that the tinfoil hat folks were right in this case?"

"No such luck, I'm afraid. The battle with them didn't take very long, and they escaped custody, we assume due to the unknown assassin that's in their group. As they were being transported, the officers were attacked. None of them survived. And with this being their first known outing, that's all of the details we have." Officer Smith made every effort to look the young woman in the eyes as he spoke.
