Spotting a glimpse of one of the figures, he pulls at the mental strings of the ones under his sway to bring up that image of the Samaritan, then subtly pulls their attention to the hooded man. "He's with them, he's with the terrorists, he's coming to finish the job. You must protect her, protect Roberta from them. Get her to Safety." Another image flashes into their minds, one of Gerald, yet smiling and seemingly heroic.

Mike meanwhile started to make his way towards the new player on the field. "Dammit Vincent, you have two juicy targets here, hit one of them." He mumbled through the link.

>Get Roberta to Gerald, "defend" her by shooting at the Samaritan. Toss in some panicked radioing in the situation as well, for funsies.

Vincent doesn't reply similar to one who is either ignoring a phone call or is otherwise occupied. Given his distance, it is difficult to see which at this point. Whatever the result, he doesn't fire a single shot.The soldiers and people around Roberta who pick up rocks seem poised to defend her with their lives using whatever means required however.

That is about the time the person who was supposed to be fired upon vanishes from sight along with the person next to them. One moment they were there, the next they weren't. Its to soon to tell if any movement is going on around the spot or even if there is any hints of an illusion. The crowd is still fleeing though so it will be obvious fairly quickly one way or the other.

The two people vanishing is quickly followed by Roberta and the people inside the makeshift protected area vanishing as well. Most are too panicked to notice, but the ones under Cognagions control are baffled. Absent someone to protect, they don't quite know what to do. It looks like they are likely to go and investigate though despite not all being able to fit.
At this point Mike, has most of the crowd closer to the the stage and central area under his sway amounting to 2 to 3 hundred people.

It was happening as he had seen. They weren't able to get Roberta fast enough, through no fault of their own. The unexpected had occurred. She'd been protected from Kaito's abilities, and now she was gone from sight. Now they might need to escalate things even further. Perform more blatant and vulgar displays of power. Garald did not act immediately. He looked over the crowd. If he could find who was casting the spell of illusion upon the scene perhaps he could disrupt their concentration and force them to drop it. In the meantime he spoke over the Horsemen's mental link.

"They wouldn't have put up a bubble if they could teleport Roberta away, or exfiltrate her easily. She's there. Keep that area contained."

Going to use a HP to re-roll that. Re-roll Insight/Perception: 1D20+10 = [5]+10 = 15 +10 for rolling under 10 = 25.

Assuming Garald zeroes in on someone, he'll use the Charge Action to attack them. Accurate Attack -3 Dmg/+3 Attack Accurate Attack -3 Dmg/+3 Atk, -2 Atk from Charge: 1D20+10 = [1]+10 = 11 Rolled a 1 there.

I'll add in some flavor for Garald's attack. If it doesn't end up being used/he doesn't notice anyone, I will delete it. Just doing this to save up time on back and for posting.

He was primed to spring into action. To blitz through the crowd and drive a fisted hand into the individual he felt was hiding Roberta from him and his peers. Perhaps too eager. When he struck, he drove in with violent vigor rather than precision and calculated accuracy.

Garald notices an anomaly in the crowd of a slick pool playing looking Romanian where a black code and hat. Unlike the others fleeing, he's looking towards the stage area and is not afraid like the others. Instead, he is content to keep an eye on the stage of an ease about him. While the vanishing act on stage doesn't go away when Garald barrels through the crowd towards the man, he does warrant a look of what the heck. "You aren't going to win this one. Might as well give up now Garald. If we don't stop you, Russia will be coming for you soon enough.", says the man not concerned about the Russian soldier whose blows go wild.

Around where the good Samaritan was, people continue to stream by. Given the crowd, it is difficult to see what is going on with the spot they formerly occupied.
If someone wants to use a move action, they can try to see what is going on with the Good Samaritan who vanished from sight.
DC 20 Perception will see people are moving around it after stopping for a second as if running into something.

Kaito descends into whatever invisibility field their opponents had erected to the exact spot he saw Rebecca standing previously. He will re-form, 'landing' in a 3-point 'heroes pose' while simultaneously releasing power in a spiderweb on the stage to break it apart and collapse it and anyone still on it, hopefully hindering them in the rubble.
AE: Shatter; (Weaken Toughness), Activation-Move, Area-Shapeable 2 (+2/r),Affects Objects also (+1/r), pr 12 47/77 LINK Damage, Activation-Move, Precise, Area-Shapeable 2 (+2/r),
4 cones (in the 4 directions) of roughly 45 distance out from him the stage spiderwebs into fist-sized chunks and collapse. His own 'landing place' remains solid ground.


If anyone sees it, it probably looks like a really cool anime move. He listens for the cries of people around him and tries to pick out Rebecca's voice, even if the people are invisible.

Catatrophe lands and the ripples plus resulting sounds make people who are watching it prepare to move even faster. As word spreads through the crowd, even more look prone to almost stampede away. After adding a new chaotic event in the sea of chaos, Catastrohpe feels a foot and then hears a voice of Roberta jumping back frightened. All around him, the vision of emptiness vanishes to reveal the two negotiators and Roberta looking petrified at Katio.

Despite Kaito seeing through the ruse, the cops and soldiers under Cognagions sway don't. Unable to see who they should shoot and who they should protect they go back to trying to control the crowd. WIth everyone they touch, Mike feels another node connect into his network of thralls. Given what Kaito just did, the new threat of protection is the thing who just threw rubble about and scattered the area around the stage.

In front of Kaito on the stage, another barrier comes up in front of him. This time it's the back sliding door of a nearby truck being moved about by the guy in the Ferrari jacket based on his hand motions so that the door makes another barrier for Kaito to get through. Of course, all the crowd can see if a bi truck having its door pulled off by an unseen force with the door in front of Kaito.

Somehow, the Good Samaritan managed to get on the stage sight unseen to Kaito and whoever saw through the illusion. he wraps his arm around a terrified Roberta and says in his best Terminator impression, "Come with me if you want to live.".
Catastrohpe knows its an illusion now of no one being there. I had NPC's move at the end, but hes close enough to feel a foot leading the illusion to be broken for him only. Whoever he says it's fake to needs to make a DC 24 insight check, but gets a +5 roll bonus.

I can see them, the illusion is of emptiness she's... Dammit that guy just tore off a truck door!... And Angelstein has reach Roberta... Ahnold's line, seriously? Kaito thinks over the link. He hoped the rubble would make it harder for them to move about.

Mike spits to the ground as his mentality manages to break through their enemy's masquerade. None of these damn useless humans could see what he and his fellows could, which was making them increasingly useless. "They're right there, right there! Pay attention for fuck's sake!" He practically screams at them, sending strong mental signals to the armed that Roberta was about to be kidnapped by the Samaritan. Even if they still couldn't manage to see through it all, the horseman of whispers continued on his rush towards where they were, the crowd subtly making way for him as he did.

The rubble thrown about around where the stage used to be delays what would have otherwise been a quicker trip for Cognagion. Even with his path cleared, he still need s a bit more to get to where he sees the Terminatoresque scene unfolding. The armed guards keep out an eye on where the peace pact signing was supposed to take place, but without seeing anything or being told to fire at a specific location become sentries more than anything.

The man in the trench coat puts his hand in front of Gerald, but nothing happens. Frowning a bit, the man doesn't seem too bothered. "Heh, it usually works. Oh well, should be done here soon enough. You guys really aren't that subtle are you? A big plus for the security cameras, but what about all those cell phones?", says the man to Garald. His glibness contrasts with Garalds rage as a completely opposite demeanor.

On the stage, the Horsemen who manage to see through the illusion see Roberta and the Good Samaritan vanish from view. The two negotiators are still there and the scene is still the same, but it is minus two people.
At this point, the crowd and police in the area are Catastrophes to control as he sees fit with the commands are move actions restriction. Absent instruction though, they will keep fleeing or doing crowd control as normal.

Garald practically leaped at the trench coat wearing Romanian, attempting to wrap him up in an inept bear hug. After recovering from over shooting in his failed effort to wrestle the other man into a grapple he sneered.

"Us? You are the terrorists that sent a suicide bomber into a peace rally. You are the ones attempting to kidnap the broker of peace. That's what the cell footage will show. That's what the people will say. It is good that you are so apt at hiding. All of you will need to after today."

While maneuvering around his evasive foe Garald communed with his comrades in an effort to help them work around the obfuscation they were presented with. In truth it didn't matter how poorly it went for him personally if the others could still get hold of Roberta.

"Mike, do you think you can convince Roberta to come with us? She is an advocate of peace. She may value the lives of civilian's present here more than her own. It is possible that can be leveraged against her. Even if you can only get her to call out in response to you that gives your puppets an area to aim at. What do you suppose happens to an invisible man covered in mud, for example?"

Besides, even if they do come after us, if your group doesn't join with Russia soon you'll have other problems to worry about. From what I hear, their is an oligarch who isn't too happy you killed the fiance of his son. Elaina Petrov ring a bell? It would b a shame if I sent him one of these video streams telling him about you.", says the man.
I was going to hold off invoking the enemy complication, but now seems like a good time given Garalds run of bad luck.

Kaito was tired of this Tom and Jerry BS.

If they chose this spot for the stage then it made sense it was as protected as it could be, especially if they had electrical hook ups here. Kaito looks around toward the nearby street and spots what he's looking for.

Kaito moves in the direction of a city fire hydrant and extends his breaking abilities toward it. a horizontal line near the middle should result in a fan-like spray. The thinner the line, the farther it'll cover.
[A hydrant nearby makes sense, but if it needs a VP for scene editting, I can do that. Precise Shatter a line to spray a fan of water over the entire area.]

A fire hydrant not too far from the stage blows it's top and sprays the area. As the water created even more chaos, anyone who was looking around would notice the nicely dressed Englishman hadn't been seen since the chaos broke out from the explosion. In addition, the spot where the good samaritan had been near Roberta has clearly visible lines of bodies. It isn't enough to make out who was who, but the outlines are roughly there. For more fuel to the rush of panic, the illusion that was covering the stage becomes clearly exposed shocking people at the sudden exposure of the scene on the former stage. Some are running, but still trying to tweet it out or capture it on various live streaming services.

The soldiers and cops under the control of Cognagion aren't dumb. Upon seeing the possible outline of the target, they fire at it with most of the shots landing. Even while invisible, there is droplets of blood on the stage. Little drops start falling from the sky higher and higher, but not terribly far as the the Ferrari jacket wearing man flings his wrist tossing the source of the drops further away.
No HP needed since it is safely assumed to be there.
The dice weren't friendly to the good samaritan.

While you can't see them clearly, you can target the good samaritans based on the location you think he might be at with -5 to hit. He is currently 500 feet away.

Mike rolled with the suddenly very interesting situation developing, quickly adopting a cool yet worried outward persona. He moved low, arms up as if to block incoming gunfire, and soon made his way into the scene propper. "Miss. Roberta!" He called out, throwing back his hood to reveal the perfectly ruffled hair of a Korean pop-star, the flash of red complimenting the colored contacts he wore perfectly. The way he parted his lips to flash a set of perfect teeth, carefully trimmed eyebrows pinching together to imitate a look of pure concern for this woman's well being. Even the tenor of his voice was pitched in such a way that it'd linger in her ears for seconds only to fade away and leave her wishing for more.

"Please, remain calm! My companions and I are the Knights of Redemption, we had come here to try and prevent a terrible terrorist plot, but we've failed you. Give us one more chance to right the wrongs of this day, and avenge the innocent lives these monsters have taken-" He ducks down as a few more bullets fly over head, perfectly timed, yet missing any mark on their targets. "To think you would be so foolish as to use your infernal powers in broad daylight before humanity, I'd never imagined your kind would stoop so low. Valor, He turns to Gerald, then Kaito. "Suffrage, it's up to us now to put a stop to them from putting an end to their vial plots. Miss. Roberta, we'll stop them from taking you even if we must risk our very lives!"

He reaches for his pockets and pulls out his silver Wakizashi, holding it out in front of himself like a samurai forced to use his last resort. "May the heavens choose mercy for your souls."

"If you can't play along verbally, don't say a god damned thing. Strong silent types are all the rage with girls. Keep collateral to an absolute minimum, we need to sell this."
