I tried to leave a lot on the table so that I'm not completely hogging the spotlight.
It would be really cool if we had someone that could talk to normal people.
Or with animals? GMs hate it when players can talk to animals.

Maybe Min? She can already talk with Ariel and she's cute as a button (baby anything is cute by default), so not very threatening at all. Just have it as a natural outgrowth of her ability to talk to Ariel.

I wouldn't be opposed.

I will probably regret this later... but I would not be opposed either.

Ow. Flutes don't have reeds. Flutes are just hollow pipes. And reeds aren't warmed so much as they are moistened. (And unfortunately the only name for reed instruments aside from their names: clarinet, oboe, etc, is "reeds". You could say woodwind, but that includes flutes and reeds.)

How are people verbally communicating when there is a hearing based perception radius area of attack going on?
Shouldn't will checks at least be required?

Because once something breaks the effect you aren't subject to it anymore. So if you plugged your ears from the get go, fascinate has no more hold on you.

So its continuous rather than concentration as well?

Re: (The Merge) Gargoyles: Defenders of the Night - Recruiting
Fascinate is a 1-pt advantage. It was not my understanding that it created this ultra-powerful effect every round. I've always seen it as/that once you were distracted from it, the stimulus, though still present in the environment, is ignorable in the same way that you can tune out the background noise in the busy cafeteria and still have a conversation with your friends.
With fascinate, you also get a save to break out every round, though Izzy's skill set the DC pretty high. Obvious threats also break it automatically. Evie was making herself non-threatening (maybe a deception/persuasion check vs its passive Insight to see if the approaching gargoyle registers as a threat) and Ariel was staying in the shadows (Stealth vs. passive perception).
But yeah, it's one point. It shouldn't force a new save every round to recapture someone who's broken free.
At least, I don't think it should. The rules are written ambiguously.
