Okay, let me digest a bit- I'm working on the Vigil download now.

I remember the show a bit.

On a vaguely related note- has anyone here read Max Gladstone's Craft sequence of books? Two of them (Three Parts Dead ad Four Roads Cross) involve 'divine agent' protector gargoyles- while it does not directly reference the show, I'm pretty sure he has watched it. Ties into one of my ideas...

I'll try to have some ideas tomorrow.

Excellent.

FYI - I decided to change the gender (and thus the name) of the tech contact Morgan gave you. My list of NPCs is a little to skewed towards one gender... Character is now Nicholas Xenakis.

Okay, on to the potential concept round. I have a couple of possible ideas, which I want to run out to determine if they are feasible or appropriate. Let me know if any of these would work (or definitely would NOT work) within the game structure. Listed in (Very) rough order of interest.

1. A Lexington-type gargoyle who is functionally a ninja (with or without some kind of tie to the Ishimura clan)- small-ish, very sneaky, more speed and leaping than flight. Powers would be Concealment-based, some senses.

2. A fairly high speed, high agility flier (either 1. through air or weather-based powers, at a street-level tier or 2. using the Light-boned and Tremendous wingspan merits from the Vigil book, possibly boosted by lower-end powers). Flight 4, relevant advantages, some degree of air manipulation (but not much, as street level and all)

3. (The weird idea, prompted by Shale from the Craft Sequence, and to a lesser extent Demona) A "human interest" specialist, specifically one who can assume human form- either by Oberon-esque Glamour/illusion or actual shapeshifting. Still shuts down in daylight (either as catatonic or full stone) so as to maintain that hindrance. Information and social skills (will work to stay out of Izzy's niche)

>Other possibilities (even further afield):
-A bruiser, mostly durability focused. (Less likely, with Ethan/Leviathan in the NPC queue, but the PCs don't have a brute yet)
-A different flier with unusual wings (brass feathers like a classical harpy, instead of bat-like). Either an "immigrant" with one parent from another Clan (possibly London or an un-named Greek Clan), or a gargoyle who lost their natural wings and had new ones made (possibly by Dina's Technomancy, possibly by Gargomancy, either Mikaela's or someone "off-screen").

>Anyway, that is the first round. I'm off to try a few test builds now.

For the moment, the focus is on Gargoyle PCs... so the 1st and 2nd idea are better. With my preference leaning towards the first just a little more... The "immigrant parent" is also interesting....

Never mind- work just handed us remaining essential people some new responsibilities, and I have some learning to do. Given how slowly I build characters, it is going to be a while before I can put something together.

Still have time to read along though. Unless they give us MORE work...

Understood. There's a perch waiting for you if you get the chance.

'Siblings' in the gargoyle show has been inconsistently applied. In one sense, I see that they use it as 'everyone of my clan is my brother/sister', in other instances they only refer to those that were eggs at the same time the speaker was an egg. i.e. kresh or even clutch brothers/sisters.

I'd think she'd treat min as a a little sister regardless of whether or not they came from the same clutch or not. It's that protect the young thing going on there.

Some quick notes on Hero Points:

1) Hero Points do not reset to one after any given story/ session or moment. When they do reset, I generally award everyone one point which adds to anything they might have at a given moment.

2) I plan to be fairly generous with the HP in this particular series... That said, Flynn for that post about the phone, take a HP. That was clever - plays into the fact that you've been stone for over ten years... when Smart Phones were just starting out...

Soo.... any thoughts on what we should write on Bladewind's face while he's sleeping?
