"That sounds like a plan that might work assuming these ghosts are chatty," Angela says.

"If we have that settled, then... Blane, could you go to the nurse station and request a wheelchair? Tell them I'd like to go down to the cafeteria for lunch, or something like that." He speaks, waving his hand vaguely. The preacher seemed to have a way with words, he'd probably work something out.

Brother Blane nods and slips out the door. He waits respectfully for a moment but the floor's nurses station for a nurse to look up before speaking. "Might we have a wheelchair to take our friend for a walkabout? It might do him some good."
[Is Hugo and Donald's room on a different floor?]
"Something pithy this way comes."
Re: [IC] MnM 3e - Hunter the Reckoning
Blane finds a matronly older woman with graying brown hair tied up into a tight bun stationed at the nurse' station. Busy with some task behind the counter she does not attent to him immediately, but the wait is not unduely long. After listening to his request she poses a question of her own.
"What is your friend's name?"
When Blane share's Alan's name he receives the short of look one might from a parent who knew you had or were about to misbehave, but they didn't have proof to hold against you just yet. After a moment she takes out a piece of paper with a black lined map of the hospital. She marks a number of section on it, then pushes the paper across the counter to Blane.
"Have him back in his room in half an hour. Mr. Darwin needs to rest. Stay to public areas of the hospital and no harassing other patients. I'll be a minute"
Leaving Blane to review the map the nurse, whose name tag read: Martha Teagarden, stepped away from the counter and walked off to fetch the requested wheelchair. It wasn't longer before she returned, wheeling the chair up alongside Blane.

Re: [IC] MnM 3e - Hunter the Reckoning
Blane returns with the wheelchair and offers to help Alan get into it. "Hugo's room was being monitored by a proper security guard. If we want to try to get in he may need to be distracted. If we just want to be outside and talk to ghosts. I imagine we can start a prayer outside his door. but we should try for one or the other." He says.

"Let's not call too much attention to ourselves. Alan has to remain here by himself when we leave," Angela says. "We'll just go outside their door. Blane asks is this Hugh's room. Alan says yes. Blane says let us pray and then while we are holding vigil Blane tries to check out what the ghosts know."

"Whatever works." Alan agreed absently, mostly pleased to be free of that woman's oppressive gaze for a few minutes.

With a wheel chair for Alan and a plan in mind the three of you set out to find and have a conversation with ghosts outside the room of a boy in a coma. Blane leads the way, pushing Alan along, as he was the one who had been to Hugo's room previously. A walk down the hall and a couple turns later you pass a guard stationed at a T intersection near a set of elevators. A short distance from there is Hugo's recovery room. The hallway is not empty. There are items in it. People moving through it. The guard watching you. You realize that if you stop outside a room for a fake prayer session the three of you will be at risk of impeding traffic, and drawing the attention of hospital staff.

Blane looks into the room to the left and right of Hugo's room.

Alan entered the hallway with his eyes closed, and hands lain carefully over his book. Once he had felt the wheelchair pause for longer then usual, he knew it was time. When next he opened his eyes, he opened them wide.

Re: [IC] MnM 3e - Hunter the Reckoning
Angela has grabbed a tissue (from Alan's room or along the away). She occasionally raises it to her eyes and dabs at the corners.
Re: [IC] MnM 3e - Hunter the Reckoning
Blane opens one door and sees an occupied hospital room. He goes to open the second room but before he can actually do so the three of you see the guard stationed near the intersection advancing on the three of you. His voice raises in a sharp warning.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?"
It wasn't a question that was meant to be answered. It was more a question intended to let Blane know that he was caught doing something wrong. Stopping a few spaces from you the broad chested, uniformed guard looks over the three of your each in quick succession … probably memorizing your faces … before settling on Blane.
"I remember you. You were told to stay away from here, and I know you haven't gotten permission to see that kid. Come with me."
The guard half turns, excepting Blane to move with him. Before departing though he gives Alan and Angela a hard look.
"You two are blocking the hallway. When I get back, you better be gone."

OOC wrote:Blane was acting like a weirdo, trying to get into a kid's room last time he was here. Now he's peaking into other people's rooms while staking out the same kid's room he was escorted away from on his previous visit. Objectively this looks bad.
As a warning, I'm going to give Blane a serious penalty to any social roll he tries to make involving this situation. He's doing some creepy stalker stuff involving a kid and he has already been warned off once.
Blane's actions have also drawn attention to Alan and Angela now, but if the guard escorts Blane away they'll have a period of time wherein their actions will not be heavily scrutinized by a trained security professional.
When Alan activates Discern, there is nothing glaringly obvious in the hallway that comes off as supernatural.

"I thought we would be avoiding- Dammit, fine. Angela, wheel me into his room quickly and discreetly please. We don't have much time." He spoke, clearly agitated. Under his breath he mumbles something about how much trouble this could land him in.

Blane follows leaving the others behind. "Now now. I didn't even touch the kids room." he says in a quiet protest, ostensibly keeping the guard's attention on himself.
