Toughness check: 1D20+9 = [7]+9 = 16
The second armored guard that hit King Croc, but the only one that hurt him, took the Shadowlance to his breastplate, but still knocked him backward in his seat, dazing him.

Magnaflux is still up to bat.

Magnaflux
Hero Points: One.
Conditions: None.

There were five gunmen on the lower platform with Croc, and several more of the armed men were moving towards armored sea-doo's. It was almost too easy. "I would suggest that you stand down gentlemen, you are at a severe tactical disadvantage. You are operating under the assumption that numbers, and weaponry give you the edge." With a wave of his hand, the five mercenaries surrounding noted a sound similar to the patter of rain, as they looked around the non metallic parts of their weapons were falling to the lurching platform, as Magna Flux reduced their weaponry to component parts which hovered before them.

"That belief is a fallacy. I'll tell you one more time, 'Surrender'."
OOC: Not sure if this is the correct way to work Transform against held objects, but the effect is Perception range & Precise. Transforming Technological Device to Component Parts, up to 50 lbs, which I feel is enough for five rifles.

Let me know if there are any mechanical issues with this ability and we can work out the details. :)

As the metal parts of their guns floated before their faces, the five security officers dropped to the ground, covering their heads.

The two remaining armored men, however, did not fold so easily. Still holding their blasters, they opened fire on the barricade constructed by Shaper, trying to clear the obstacle so as to get at the people behind it.

((OOC: CoyoteCode is temporarily down, so rolling it by hand.)) 1d20+10 to hit wall x 2 = 15 and 24. DC21 for each. 1d20+9 Toughness check for wall x2 = 21 and 18. No damage and a -1 are end result.

Meanwhile, the six guards above you open fire from above where the wall isn't covering. Each one of you is attacked by two of them. Attacks on Magnaflux are 1d20+6 x2 = 19 and 21. Shaper's are 11 and 9. Wraith is 10 and 9. If any of that connects, the damage is DC19, Multiattack.

Waverunner's up.

Magnaflux
Hero Points: One.
Conditions: None.

As the attackers with the high ground rained down blaster fire on the Guardsmen, Magna Flux's shields held. Barely. The energy of the blaster interacted with his magnoplasmic field, penetrating it and burning a forrow through his right shoulder and scorching his back.

"Nnnrgh!" He looked to his allies with a wane smile, "Guess they're not the surrender types."
OOC: Toughness Check vs DC 19 (Two Attacks): 1D20+10=[4]+10=14
1D20+10=[17]+10=27
Dodge is 8, so DC 18 to hit, neither attack check got 2 degree's of Success or more so Multiattack doesn't modify the Toughness Check. Though, talk about Hi's & Lo's, the 14 failed by 5, so 1 Degree is only a Bruise, just barely. The other succeeds by a large margin.

Waverunner
hp 1

The bathing beauty slipped through the waters, a tight whimper as she is hit by one of those blasts...
..while it sizzled against her skin, it failed do much, this time.

She pushed up towards the surface, a quick smile towards her teammates before coming back down without much of a splash... and sped towards one of the mounted malcontents.. using a blade of hardened water to slash through the bike on her way past, ending up quite some distances away again.
_: 1D20+9 = [5]+9 = 14 DC 24 if by some miracle that hits.
and quite likely whiffed, as she goes past with such speed.

"Control Liz, learn control."

The hard water (that has nothing to do with Jay Garrick) slices through the back half of the jet ski, damaging the machine but doing nothing to its "rider."

Mozou (22), King Croc (21) and Shaper (21) start off Round 2.

Mozou
HP : 1
Condition : normal

Mozou took stock of the situation - two of the armored divers with blasters were tied up, and two were on the loose.

Since they represented the greatest threat, she decided to deal with them first.

She tapped into the powers she borrowed from Mangrove to use a trait of the Alexandrium algal cells floating nearby.

Specifically, the ability to make saxitoxin - one of the most potent neurotoxins on the planet !
Attacking one of the divers - with a 60' reach thanks to Elongation, she shouldn't need to move much.
Attack with phytotoxic touch_: 1D20+8 = [12]+8 = 20
. Should connect, so he's facing a Fort vs DC19 Affliction :

Phytotoxin: Cumulative Affliction 9 (1st degree: Impaired, 2nd degree: Disabled, 3rd degree: Paralyzed, Resisted by: Fortitude, DC 19; Accurate: +2, Cumulative, Reversible, Secondary Effect)
"Once you saw me ..." she chuckled to herself as he activated her concealment effect, "... now you can't !"
Activating concealment, then swimming away from where she last was, towards the other armored diver. To strike from nowhere later !

King Croc
Wallace G. Dorre
HP 1
Condition: -1 Toughness, Dazed

Wally shakes his head and barrels forward at one of the men blasting at Shaper's wall. Like a locomotive with teeth and claws he slams into the gunman savagely.
Okay, so Wally is Dazed which relegates him to a single standard action. To compensate, he'll charge his enemies. Since some of these guys have missed saves, but haven't taken the absolute worst result, I'm going to assume they aren't minions, thus he cannot use Takedown. So, he just attack one.

1d20+6-2=21 (rolled as 1d20+4 on CoyoteCode) http://roll.coyotecode.net/lookup.php?rollid=149372
He came so very close to a crit...but it's a rank 13 Damage or DC28 Toughness save.

Shaper
HP:1
Condition: fine

Shaper looks at the barrier between himself and the gunmen. Cracks and holes could be seen in some locations, but the general structure still held. Shaper refreshed the structure, and caused it to hover up 5 feet in the air, to better block off shots from the gunmen on the platform.

"Holding cover. Let me know if anyone needs support or a shield."
Standard action to refresh the structure and move it up (or if that's too many actions, just dismiss it as a free action and resummon it fresh in the described location). Maintaining flight position.

Underwater, Mozou's stinger connects. Fortitude check: 1D20+5 = [18]+5 = 23 For the moment, though, he seems to be unaffected by the toxins.

Up on edge of the platform, King Croc hits the armored guard at full tilt, knocking both of them over the side of the rig into the water. Toughness check: 1D20+9 = [7]+9 = 16 The man is very staggered, with little tiny clownfish as opposed to tweedy birds) swimming in circles around his head.

The refreshed warped wall begins floating around in the air, intuitively making it very difficult for all of the opposing shooters to get a clear line of sight on the three heroes behind it. This doesn't stop two of the jet ski riders from trying anyway. ((OOC: CoyoteCode just stopped on me again. Rolling by hand.) While the movement seems to throw off the first shooter (rolled a 2), the second one connects. DC21 vs Toughness 9+2 = green damage. A few more chunks drop from the wall.

Meanwhile, back underwater, the two divers once again struggle against their algae traps. #1 7+12=19 vs 9+3=12 and #2 7+16=23 vs 9+4=13. Both swimmers break the holds on them, swimming away from the mess while drawing their blasters.

The one that had freed himself earlier looks for another target to shoot. Having lost track of the two women (due to their camouflaging), and the large crocodile man that almost hit him as he hit the water, he chooses to shoot at King Croc. 10+6=16 to hit. Damage 6 / DC21.

Wraith (11) is up next.

King Croc
Wallace G. Dorre
HP 1
Condition: -1

When Wally and the goon he hit careen into the water, the sudden immersion revives him a bit and just as he breaks the surface to take stock of his situation, another bolt of blaster fire glances off his thick hide.
Okay, since the end of his turn has passed, Wally is no longer Dazed (yay). Now to save against the blaster...
1d20+10-1=27 http://roll.coyotecode.net/lookup.php?rollid=149433 This time he shrugs it off.

Wraith
HP: 1 Cnd: Grim
Stephyn seemed to simply walk through the blaster fire directed at him. His face was set in a grim mask of indifference. As if those firing at him was of no concern. With that same look, he utter a string of inhuman sounds and swept his hand in an arc, shadows solidifying into razor sharp shards that raced across the platform at those attacking the Guardians.
OK...Extra Effort for a powerstunt: Shadowshards[Ranged Multiattack Damage 6 w/Accurate 2] Shadowshards DC21[23/26]: 1D20+12 = [9]+12 = 21
trying to strike at least the two that shot at Wraith and any others whom it might reach

As Wraith rains up(?) a flurry of Underdark shards, the six gunmen above them are hit and tumble forward, landing on the top of Shaper's wall, then slide down its warp and are relaunched into the air, only to come crashing down on the bottom platform in an unconscious heap.

Their bodies hadn't stopped twitching when the door to the office they were guarding slammed open.

Those of you on the deck still (Wraith, Magnaflux and Shaper), please make an insight check. If you have Expertise in Business or anything celebrity related, please use that instead and let me know what its in.

Magnaflux
Hero Points: One.
Conditions: None.

Magnaflux maintained a wary eye on the combat zone, considering the elevated platform's and the enemies firing position he wanted to be cautious.
OOC: Insight check while on board the Drilling Platform: 1D20+5=[15]+5=20
. Not bad, sooner or later these dice are going to fail me!

Shaper
HP: 1
Condition: Fine

Shaper smiles as the combo with Wraith deposited the unconscious people back on the platform, glad that they wouldn't have to save anyone from drowning for the time being. Shaper looks towards the platform deck, wary of anything that might surprise them.
