With a wide grin she grabs Josh's forearm and starts to pull him along, displaying more strength then someone might expect from a girl her size. "Alright, c'mon! I think I saw a map somewhere in this direction. Oh-!" She stops pulling on him, hoping to catch her other classmates before they got out of site. "Hey! Be sure to call us if you find anything alright? We'll do the same for you!"

Skølldir and Titaness

It's not difficult to find several consoles at points in the museum. They all seem to be limited to the events related to their display area, but they seem to be of a common build, and the cabling looks like standard network drops. Maybe they all draw from a common database that can be queried...

The young genius smirked at the console, as he asked Titaness: "You think you can bring me to that terminal?" When he is in front of the panel, his fingers flew to it expertly. Drawing the OS from the terminal should be easy enough. Getting access to the database might be a little bit trickier. However, had anything resisted his programmer charm so far? No sir not.

Knowing the general time period of Lenore's operations, you're able to move to the right section of the museum fairly quickly. There are a few exhibits dedicated to Eclipse, and Lenore. The nightclub was apparently a haven for drugs, underage drinking, and prostitution, as well as purchasing and sales of artwork and information. The displays fall shy of providing much salacious detail, but Eclipse comes off as being something of a hedonist's paradise, a place where all of your desires could be attended to if you could pay for it.

Lenore herself is noted to have disappeared in the summer of 1973, control of Eclipse being transitioned to one Kelvin Hewett, who apparently proceeded to turn the club into a more legitimate business, albeit one with a much more explicit theme of the undead, a move that paid off in spades as the Goth subculture took off in the early 1980s.

The actual database itself seems oddly elusive, with the data schema oddly arcane, with a maze of IDs and cross-references. However, one query brings up a currently unused sidebar on the drug trade in Freedom City. Most of it is the standard screed, about the negative effects of drug use, and the trend towards harder drugs, both how users trend to go from mild drugs to harder ones and how criminals are importing harder drugs to supply the demand, but there are some interesting sidebars on some of the more exotic substances out there, doing anything from magically transforming someone to an under servitor (usually temporarily, but sometimes permanently) to providing powers (albeit with major side effects), to substances that temporarily displace the senses to other dimensions (at the risk of denizens of said dimensions sometimes being able to see you back, and take an interest).

Lenore is referenced, with Eclipse having apparently been the heart of her operations, catering to the more discriminating customers with drugs that were seldom cut or adulterated, and providing safe rooms within the nightclub within which to get into, and come off of, a drug trip. She apparently took great pride in the safety of her product.

At the end of the sidebar, it ends with an extra line.

Hello, Olev. We should talk. -D
For the most part Irene had enjoyed her sojourn to the museum seeing the exhibits and escorting Olev to wherever he needed to go to work his magic. But when the message popped up on the screen she did a double take.

"Well well looks like someone has a date." she teased playfully.

"Go ahead." she urged him on.

Durring their tour of the exhibits, Cindy actually found herself legitimately interested with what the museum offered. While she still much preffered the boy as opposed to stuff behind glass, there was something about the place that just drew her in. Maybe because the whole place was designed to appeal to kids with even shorter attention spans then her own.

"Wonder who that Kelvin guy was, did he like, buy the place out after she disapeared or something? Hmm..." Hummed her, as if the answer would just come to her randomly. "Still, this is pretty good info right? Our report is gonna be sick! Now we just need to find out where she went. Uh, and why she became a villian too maybe."

She scratched her chin. "Why do people become villains anyway? Is it just... Fun for them I guess?"

"It sounds like Kevin did buy the place, but I wonder if he had ties with it prior to that. That was only back in the 70s though, so he may still be around, though not necessarily running the club. Something we can ask about when we go there I guess."

He considers the question about why people become villains. "It seems to me people probably become villains for a lot of varied reasons when you consider how varied the motives of villains seem to be. Chaos, domination, revenge and so on, then having the powers or resources to back their cause. Means and motive, yeah? Heroes are the same though, just, they have more wholesome motives... for the most part."

Skølldir is taken aback not by the sudden proposal, but rather because someone was spying on him through the system, and he didnt detect it. How dare she! Wait, why is he thinking thats a girl?? Chuckling, he looks up at Titaness and then back at the computer, before clicking the link.

"Mmm, I guess! Doing good things for the sake of good is... Uh, pretty good. I think fighting villians and stuff would pretty fun though. Maybe I'll run into something that could actually hurt me. Well, hurt me again." Cindy grins, somehow finding the prospect of feeling pain something to look forward too.

Grabbing for his hand, the girl looks to pull him back towards where they came. "Come on, let's go find Irene and Dr. Wheels."

When Olev taps on the screen where the message is, it shifts to showing a silhouette of a Greek helmet against a black background, before cutting to an image of a man dressed in what looks to be ancient Greek armor, hands steepled before him as he sits at a desk. When he speaks, his voice has a faint trace of a Mediterranean accent.
"I'm afraid I can only be here in spirit, but welcome, Olev. It is not uncommon for someone to try to hack their way into these systems. Those who do so for personal gain, or to attack us, is treated in a fitting manner. Those who do it to seek knowledge... well, perhaps they might find it. Getting this far means that you've done well enough to impress me with your potential. You speak to Daedalus now. What would you will?"

Joshua finds himself yanked along by the arm, moving with Cindy to avoid having his arm accidentally dislocated in the girl's enthusiasm. "You want to be a hero so can experience being hurt?"

Of course, he didn't know the scope of Cindy's powers, though to be fair, none of his new classmates knew about him either. Less likely to be questioned if he didn't dwell on details related to the powers of his classmates. Still, he couldn't help asking as the way Cindy said it sounded so off-beat.

"Mmm... Well, not exactly that. More like, I wanna be a hero so I face super strong villains, rush into burning buildings, survive super big explosions.... Stuff that could really get my blood pumping, you know?" The girl said, with an almost contemplative expression. Yet as if it knew that such a look had no place anywhere near her face it vanished as it was replaced by a confident grin, gesturing to herself with the thumb of her free hand.

"I might not look like it, but I'm actually super tough. Like, take a tank-shell to the face and probably not even blink tough! I mean, I've never been shot at by a tank before, but it can't be anything worse then getting hit by a death ray is it?"

Irenes eyes widened a bit at the revelation of the messenger before she composed herself and leaned over Olevs shoulder with a big grin as she waved at the man who with the other leaguers had calmed her down and helped her get her powers under control, All that fuss and he wasn't even mad about getting hit with that firetruck.

"Hi Doc! How you been?" she said cheeky grin firmly in place.

"Well...'death ray' seems to entail a certain expected outcome. That aside, heroes put their lives on the line all the time, but I don't think any of them are heroes for the expressed purpose of putting their lives on the line, y'know? Can't much help people if you do happen into something that can hurt you." He got what Cindy was saying, but felt her priorities were a bit mixed up.

Not that he could really cast stones, he wanted to be a hero to distance himself as much as possible from his "source material" as it were. A personal angle in an otherwise altruistic goal didn't seem like a bad thing when he did want to help people. Maybe that's what Cindy was getting at, just having trouble articulating it.
