The door opens with its unlocking, revealing to Skolldir a room pregnant about 6 meters square, 36 meters squared, of course. In the center is a very large bomb, reminiscent of Big Boy, smaller than Tsar Bomba. There's quite a bit of electronics attached to it, some of it very superfluous looking.

To your right, your classmate, Hope, decked out in her costume as Miraculous, stands in her own doorway, poised to act.

"Why should I care what that nerd's up too? We have another door here that needs tending!" She declared, brushing off any motion of seeing Skoldir again. Why should she care about him anyway, the jerk!

Moving up to the door, she didn't even try to make an attempt opening it the normal way and instead raised her bat up without a care. "Baaater up!" She shouted with glee, bringing it down.

Tough Stuff

Tough Stuff runs towards the door and strikes it with a click, a change, and a hiss. The clang was expected, the result of the bathroom striking the door. The click comes from the floor in front of the door, and the hiss from white wispy gas, which smells vaguely medicinal.
OOC wrote: Toughness save: 1D20+10 = [10]+10 = 20
puts a dent in it (and a -1 penalty), but doesn't take it down.

Meanwhile, you trigger the gas trap. Yes, there's a trap. DC 18 Dodge save to be able to start holding your breath. DC 18 Fortitude save after that (14 if you made the Dodge save) against Fatigued/Exhausted/Incapacitated. It sticks around next turn, no Dodge save if you failed it, but the gas is only filling the right side of the room.

I'll roll for Replica later.

"Huh, Jackpot. Found the bomb. And Miraculous is also here. Always late short stuff. I mean tough stuff." Olev teased Cindy.

Replica

"Urk! Gas!" Replica gasps before taking a deep breath and barreling towards the door and a startled Cindy! With a crash, he knocks the door open, stumbling into the room, white vapor curling in under his feet, but apparently otherwise contained in the room just left.
OOC wrote:Dodge Save, Toughness save: 1D20+6 = [16]+6 = 22; 1D20+9 = [7]+9 = 16 is sufficient to avoid any effect, making the Dodge save and then the lowered Fortitude save.

He'll move to the door and apply his own attack. Attack roll (PA 2): 1D20+6-2 = [19]+6-2 = 23 makes for a DC 32 Toughness save. Toughness: 1D20+9 = [9]+9 = 18 has the door knocked open.

In true video-game fashion, the gas trap was only set up to affect the prior room.

Turrets

As he taunts Cindy, Skolldir heard the distinctive tink of his mobile turret approaching to stand behind him, and shortly after, gets a "following" signal from the other two.

<<Oh hey, it worked.>> Hope peers into the room cautiously, pausing when the door to her left opens, revealing Skolldir. [Comm]<<Everyone be cautious. We should assume this room has traps too.>>

Following her own advice, she forms a pathway of armor along the floor to the bomb so she won't trigger any floor plates, creates a fair area of floor armor around the bomb, though not actually TOUCHING the bomb with it, then extends a path to the other doorways, not certain which if any of the two closed doors the others will find their way through.
This room is a bit bigger, so I don't think she can armor the whole thing like she did the others, so she is just forming direct paths and a sort of "platform" in the middle around the bomb itself.

Regarding Skolldir's constructs, Hope hasn't dropped that armor in case we needed to go that way again.

Edit: Looking at the map again, i didn't realize the bomb is absolutely massive and the room comparatively isn't that large, so she can really just carpet the whole floor with her armor

Before Irene could consider what to do Cindy in her usual fashion swatted the door hard as she could. the Door seemed to object by spewing an anesthetic gas which she got a lungful of. Covering her mouth while coughing she backed out of the room via the door Replica kicked open fast as she could then leaning back and taking in a few deep breaths to try to get the woozy feeling out of her head.

Irenes dodge _: 1D20+4 = [5]+4 = 9
mm nope

Irenes fort _: 1D20+6 = [9]+6 = 15
fail by 1 degree shes fatigued

move out of the door replica kicked open then take a recovery action

"Ah!" She shouted as the gas started poring in. "Why does this keep happening to me?!"

Though she shouted without a care of trying to cover her mouth at all, it seemed as though the gas wasn't having any sort of affect on her this time around. Once Replica had completely knocked it over, Cindy was quick to rush in alongside Titaness into the final room.

Now all in one room, the teenagers are confronted with one stereotypically huge bomb. The flooring around it currently sports glowing flooring, compliments of Miraculous. In one corner, there's another pedestal, this one with a complicating looking device that emits a constant "tapoceta" sound punctuated by the occasional ping. Dots of darkness occasionally emit from it and gradually shrink, like some negative version of a sparkler. The bomb emits a slow, steady beeping sound, and has a fair amount of wires, pipes, and assorted doo-dads attached to it, as well as what looks to be a keypad with an LCD monitor attached to each of the cardinal directions of the room ("north", "west", "south", and "east" respectively from the map).

From somewhere up in the ceiling, a voice utters a villain cackle and speaks in a stereotypical Arabic accent.
"Fools! Infidels! You cannot foil the plans of Bim-Sala-Boom, for you are individuals of reduced intellect who reek of Western high-fructose corn syrup and freon from your overpriced sports drinks and air-conditioning. Soon, the city of Freedom City will be ground zero for a NOOK-ular explosion! Enjoy your time, for I don't expect anything left of this city but a crater." Then, the room is silent once more but for the sounds of the two devices in the room and your own heartbeats and breathing.

"That's it?" says Replica, "I was kind of expecting a boss fight..."

"It IS a boss fight. Now let me see what I can do about this Easter egg..." Skolldir comments, as he moves ahead on his chair. A flicker of electrical power causes his force field to drop, with the consequent cursing in norwegian. He approaches the bomb and tries to figure out the functioning of the whole contraption. Those wires should be powering the bomb, or triggering the chemicals already in it. Sort of...
After that he approaches the console for inspection. He tries a few standard things and trips a few firewalls before taking out a small pen drive from his toolkit and inserting a malware to access the core shell programming.

Force field not: 7

"Or it could be a trap to trigger the bomb." Skolldir says almost for himself as he taps keys in the keyboard.

Under Skolldir's expert hands, the interface of the bomb was soon evident. Unfortunately, the mechanics of it made no sense, with wires going nowhere, electricity flowing through highly resistive materials, and a generally nonsensical setup. Fortunately, the interface is very interactive, apparently consisting of a series of trivia and other challenges. Everyone had their forte to cover, from Hope having to identify and replicate the notes of an Italian aria to Tough Stuff having to answer obscure bits of baseball lore to Replica being asked about material properties to Earth Science questions for Titaness. And after the first round of trivia, the questions get weird, becoming more personal, almost Truth or Dare, although for anyone other than the answerer, it's anyone's guess as to whether or not truthfulness of answers mattered.

The last question is answered with the timer stuck at 0:01 on the display. There's a brief fanfare, and then Quirk appears in mid-air over the bomb.

“That was awesome,” Quirk crows, pumping his fist in the air. “You guys are a lot more fun than grumpy old Captain Thunder! We’re gonna have lots of fun together. I gotta run, but I’ll be back soon.”

A blinding flash of light fades to reveal the damaged interior of the server room of the Fun-Time Toys R&D labs, but Quirk and Toy Boy are
nowhere to be found.

Making your way back to campus imposes little more difficulty than it did getting to the Fun-Time building, for those who arrived intentionally. Unfortunately, no matter how sneakily you try to enter the campus, together or apart, you are met by an irate Duncan Summers, who refuses to listen to explanations at this time, but does insist on a full and complete action report the next morning. Skolldir and Hope are not spared his acidic wit as he assumes they made their own decisions to attend this outing.

Speaking with your classmates, or looking it up online, you find that the ghost pirates that the heroes of the city were engaged vanished very suddenly and anti-climatically mid-fight. A bit of mental math adds up that they vanished about the time you defused the bomb. Strange coincidence, that...
OOC wrote:Under the module's description, all that's involved to disable the bomb is a DC 25 check, Disable Device in 2E, which would be Technology in 3E. I thought about stringing things out, having the bomb require skill checks from each person in the team (Earth Science questions for Titaness, Baseball trivia for Tough Stuff, etc), but not everyone had skill ranks invested, and it felt like it just added one more die roll to the game.
