Ector Blagettal
HP: 17/17

"<Ah, my. What a delightful surprise,>" Ector says cheerfully, "<Having seen so few orcs in the village I truly hadn't expected so many people to speak the language.>"

"Ah, we are happy to having been of help," Ector says, switching back to common, "Is not so often we are being able to help such nice peoples."

Ector nods as Recette makes an offer. Honestly it was probably a little too fair, but he didn't want to insult her by haggling the price down.

"Am thinking maybe if Ector finds the money, he come back and buy knife," He pauses then winks at Recette, "We melt nasty thing into pet rock, yes?"

After a few minutes of looking around Ector pauses at the magical items. They were interesting, but expensive and he couldn't find a good reason to spend that much money on anything they couldn't immediately use. He had the same problem with the weapons. The hammer wasn't his favorite weapon, but it was a sturdy orc made weapon that would see him through any troubles, hardly seemed worth spending money on another weapon at this point.

"Ector is thinking that the healing potions are being best bet. Is more likely we are needing healing than climbing or understanding, yes?" He sets the hundred and fifteen gold they have on the table as he speaks to his traveling companions, "Is enough for two, but not much else. Maybe some normal supplies."

Sariel Amastacia

Sariel just looked around the shop, noting the various items and knick knacks. It was an impressive assortment for a shop in a town this size, Recette has done well for herself. But none of the magical items beyond the healing potions seemed useful to her, at least with the quest they are on. "Yes, more healing potions is a great item, no telling who or what we might be up against dealing with this dragon and his minions. As for normal supplies, some means of checking for traps without risk to ourselves would be good, a ten-foot pole perhaps."

"Am liking idea of safely setting off traps," Ector frowns in thought, "Am hoping that maybe they have two five foot poles that can be bolted together. Five foot pole is handy walking stick for two people. Ten foot pole is hard to carry, get caught on trees, doorways, walls, small children..."

"<Its true, there aren't very many outside my family in the village who know the tongue. A couple of the mercenaries that are regulars at the Cock and Bulls where I work are orcs but that's mostly it.>" Lynn replies.

Also switching back to common she continues, "Well we are mighty grateful for all your help. A lot of the mercenaries and adventurers that pass through here aren't nearly as courteous and helpful as you four."

Recette smiles at him. "That might be a fun thing to see. I should ask the farrier if he's interested in scrap metal to melt down into horseshoes."

Tear flitters over to a shelf and retrieves two bottles and brings them over to the counter. "Two Healing potions."

Recette chuckled, "You aren't the first nor probably the last to have that observation." She directs you to a rack with nothing but 10-foot poles. "We have your basic ten-footers, all one piece, only 5 coppers a pole. Plenty of uses around most farms and the like but a bit hard to travel with. For the discerning adventurer we also stock several models that can separate into smaller pieces for easier storage and travel. Costs a teeny bit extra, but still very affordable at one silver piece a pole. We have different models so you can also select the number of pieces it divides into."

Recette suddenly remembers something. "I have one other option but its significantly more costly." She goes and returns with a one foot long pole. "I only have the one in stock and its a kind of hard to get a hold of them out here but this little darling is the magical alternative. Say the command word and it'll extend to the normal ten foot length, say its other command word and it'll collapse back down to this size. Sadly the magic used to make it shoots the price way up, but since you're already buying the potions and you've done Tear and I a huge solid, so we can probably negotiate a discount if your interested."

Ector thanks Tear as she sets down the healing potions, and in turn he counts out the money for them and sets it on the counter.

"Am grateful for your generosity, but Ector is thinking that one for silver is just fine," He chuckles at pats the bulk of his torso, "He can be working off dinner by carrying a few sticks, yes?"

It wasn't entirely true, the magical item sounded like something he'd want just because it was, in fact, magical and that was very interesting. But from what he remembered Recette was currently in debt, and there was no way that a magical item was worth less than the potions they had bought.

It might not be extremely functional, but magic was magic. And magic was expensive. Hopefully Recette would be able to sell it to some traveler and make a good amount of money off of it. He liked the girl, and her fairy companion, and wanted to see them succeed.
