It's not bad. It's better organized for sure, but the chargen system tends to make much lower-powered characters than the Advanced Set.

It's not bad. I've gotten my stuff from ClassicMarvelForever.com
There's also a bunch of FB groups that support the game and some still publish Unofficial material.

  • Resistances: Wolverine has Unearthly (100) resistance to aging, toxins and disease.
  • Self-Revival: Remarkable (30), Wolverines healing factor will even bring him back from the dead, as long as his cells are still alive.
Animal Senses: Wolverine has enhanced senses of hearing and smelling at Monstrous (75) strength. He has developed his tracking to Monstrous (75) ability.

HISTORY
Months following Logan's death, his body was found by Persephone, the mysterious mutant leader of the criminal organization Soteira. Who resurrected him as one of her undead killers. With the re-animated corpse of Logan under her control, Persephone used it to carry out assassinations and other type of dirty jobs all over the world. But somehow, Logan’s healing factor kicked back and he came back to life, breaking free from Persephone's control and killing several Soteira soldiers in the process. Now in control of his body, but without any memories and with his claws burning hot for unknown reasons, Logan tracked a Soteira kill team led by Zagreus.

After a while Logan finally arrived on Persephone’s island and was tricked into fighting against the X-Men but soon after Logan was captured by Persephone who told him the truth about who were the X-Men. She then told him to follow her brother Zagreus to their space station where he could meet her and learned the truth about how he came back to life.

Once on Persephone's space station, Logan discovered that Soteira had gathered a small group of gifted people and that she intended to kill everyone else on Earth in order to resurrect them as drones under her control to help build the perfect society. She also revealed to Logan that she was the one who resurrected him as one of her undead soldiers and he killed for her all around the world, but that some-how his healing factor brought him back to life. Logan then decided to put an end to her plan, he destroyed her space station and after facing Zagreus one more time he finally regained his memories.

Now back to the land of the livings, Logan decided to head back to the X-Mansion but on the way he was summoned by the Fantastic Four to help them against the Endlings and the Griever at the End of All Things. Once done Logan was sent back to earth and met with an older version of himself before finally arriving at the mansion and meeting Loki.

After helping Loki, Logan was then reunited with Cyclops in order to face the O.N.E and its leader the General Robert Callahan. The duo were later on reunited with the rest of the X-men, who were previously trapped in the Age of X-Man reality, and together they were able to defeat Callahan and his army of Sentinels once and for all.

Not long after, Professor Xavier returned and decided to use Krakoa in order to establish a new sovereign Mutant nation state. Wolverine and many other mutants lived here; he was first seen happily playing with mutant kids.

Shortly after, Professor Xavier sent Sabretooth, Mystique, and Toad to steal data from Damage Control, but Sabretooth was apprehended by the Fantastic Four while Mystique and Toad got away. With this new data, Xavier and Magneto learned the existence of the Orchis Forge (a space station located near the sun), where the humans created a new Mother Mold and were about to activate it. More importantly, Xavier and Magneto believed it would be there that Nimrod would become operational. The duo then tasked Cyclops with assembling a team to destroy the Mother Mold and prevent the creation of Nimrod.

Cyclops' team consisted of Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Husk, Penance, Marvel Girl, Archangel, and Mystique. Despite the effect of surprise, the X-Men's Shi'ar Scout ship was destroyed by Captain Mendel's kamikaze attack just after they arrived on the Orchis Forge which killed Husk and Archangel.

Despite the loss of their team-mates and the physical injuries they suffered from this attack, the X-Men decided to finish the mission no matter what. Their goal was to activate 4 levers in order to send the Mother Mold, the key in the development of Nimrod, into the sun. Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Cyclops were able to activate three levers but Mystique failed to activate the last one and was ejected into the vacuum of space by Doctor Gregor and the Omega Sentinel. To make the X-Men pay for the death of her husband (Captain Mendel) and despite the Omega Sentinel's protest, Doctor Gregor activated Mother Mold early.

With only 30 seconds left before it went online and knowing there was no other way to stop it, Kurt and Logan sacrificed their lives by teleporting directly into space near the sun where the Mother Mold was located. Nightcrawler died instantly because of the heat, but Wolverine survived long enough to destroy the last beam holding the Mother Mold, which sent both of them directly into the sun. This victory for mutantkind came at a cost as the rest of the team was also killed during this attack leaving Xavier and the rest of the X-Men on Krakoa heartbroken.

Not long after, Wolverine and the other dead X-Men were resurrected through a strange process by a group of mutant known as “The Five” (Tempus, Proteus, Hope Summers, Elixir, and Goldballs). A new regrown body was created for each of the deceased X-Men and to finish the process, Professor X, with the help of Cerebro, transferred a stored copy of the deceased mutant's minds and essences into their new re-grown bodies. This process allowed The Five and Professor Xavier to completely restore the bodies, the powers, and the minds of Wolverine and the other X-Men as they were at the time of their deaths.

Wolverine and the other resurrected X-Men were then acclaimed as the heroes of Krakoa by Storm and all the mutant population of Krakoa. But two days later, Professor Xavier decided to allow all the mutant villains on Krakoa which displeased Wolverine who thought that it was a mistake, since some of them were beyond salvation.

After the vote to recognize Krakoa as an independent mutant homeland was passed at the United Nations and after the banishment of Sabretooth by the Quiet Council of Krakoa for disobeying Magneto's orders and murdering several guards of Damage Control, Wolverine alongside the other mutants of Krakoa held a great party to celebrate the birth of their new nation.

In this brave new world, Wolverine was first seen living in the Summer House, a Krakoan biome located adjacent of the Blue Area of the Moon. The Summer House was the home of the Summers clan and other mutant allies but also served as a base of operations.

Wolverine also stayed in contact with Kitty Pryde after learning she couldn't use the Krakoa gateways to travel to the island like the rest of the mutants, he was wondering if she could use those gateways from the Island side. Back on Krakoa, Logan was also having a hard time adjusting to Krakoa "prix fixe menu", but knowing that Kitty was about to travel to the Island by boat, he asked her a favor in order to fix this issue. To that end, Logan gave Kitty a shopping list that included ribs, Canadian Club whisky, coffee, suds and Cubano sandwiches among other things.

Fortunately, Kitty arrived shortly after to Krakoa for the first time and delivered the goods, which made Logan really happy.

Later on, Wolverine discovered that a strange new creature appeared on Krakoa and was killing other creatures in its path, so he decided to hunt it for several days. At one point during this hunt, the creature attacked Beast and tried to kill him, but thankfully Wolverine intervened in time making the creature ran away and saving Beast's life. Beast asked Wolverine to not kill the creature since he wanted to analyze it in order to understand why it would attack them since Krakoa was supposed to be a refuge for mutants. Wolverine then told Beast that Krakoa was more like a "Salad Bar" than a refuge, and there was always a predator lurking around ready to feast on its prey.

Before resuming his hunt, Wolve-ine then told Beast that the reason he didn't see this creature coming was because he felt sheltered as a result of Krakoa making him feel safe and "when you're safe, you're soft."

Later on, Wolverine was able to catch and kill the creature and decided to cook it and eat it, but while he was enjoying his meal, a group of Reavers was able to bypass Krakoa's security and landed on the Island. They then killed several mutants until Sage, Wolverine, Marvel Girl, Black Tom Cassidy and Beast discovered what was happening and quickly rushed to the scene in order to stop them. Most of the Reavers died during this attack but unfortunately Wolverine, Marvel Girl and Beast were too late to stop the last one. The last Reaver tracked Professor Xavier who tried to reason with him, but the Reaver shot Xavier instead.

Hearing the shot, Wolverine rushed to the shooter and was about to kill him until Beast told him to stop since they needed a Reaver alive to know more about what happened. They then discovered with horror that Xavier had been shot through the head, and was now lying dead alongside his destroyed mobile Cerebro unit.

After the mutant population of Krakoa paid their respect to the deceased Professor Xavier, Wolverine followed the assassins' trail to South Korea while Black Tom, Cecilia Reyes and Sage tried to learn more about the attack by analyzing the bodies of the dead Reavers. They discovered that the killers had been enhanced but also that they used skin grafts from Domino's body to fool Krakoa's defenses.

At the South Korea's airport, Wolverine met Kid Omega who was also investigating Professor Xavier's murder and was seeking revenge. Logan decided to team up with Quentin, and together they managed to find the killer's HQ at a printing press outside of Seoul. Inside they discovered an assassin’s' factory, full of half-grown killers who suddenly awakened and tried to kill them. While Wolverine was fighting his way through those monsters, Kid Omega dis-covered with horror Domino half flayed but still alive.

Wolverine was able to free Domino, but the trio was soon attacked by a gigantic bioweapon, but thanks to Kid Omega and Domino the trio was able to escape and after the assassins' factory self-exploded, they returned to Krakoa. On Krakoa, after trying to read the last surviving Reaver's mind, Marvel Girl alongside Beast went looking for one of Professor Xavier's Cerebro backup unit. After the Five recreated Xavier's body, Marvel Girl used the Cerebro backup unit to complete the process and bring the Professor back to life. Unknown to the team, while they were busy investigating, someone on Krakoa secretly killed the last surviving Reaver.

Shortly after, Professor Xavier and Magneto organized a secret meeting in Krakoa at The Pointe behind a waterfall and called for Wolverine, Marvel Girl, Beast, Kid Omega, Domino and Sage. In order to face this mysterious shadowy organization responsible for the attack on Krakoa and his death, Professor Xavier decided that Krakoa had to respond in kind. Since Marvel Girl, Beast and Sage studied their enemies they would become the "head" of this new team while Wolverine, Kid Omega and Domino who hunted and spilled the blood of their enemies would be the "fist".

Once done and with the creation of this new team now official, Xavier ended the meeting by saying: "To me my X-Force".

Unknown to the mutants, their enemies, under the leadership of a strange man with a Peacock tattoo, also created their own organization in order to destroy mutantkind once and for all: XENO.

Shortly after, XENO launched several attacks against several companies owned by Professor Xavier, which forced the Quiet Council of Krakoa to task X-Force to intervene. While Marvel Girl, Beast and Sage investigated the scenes of crime, Wolverine, Kid Omega and Domino went to see Forge, who was now acting as the weapon expert of Krakoa, in order to get some firepower. While the team was getting ready, Wolverine discovered a pool of liquid adamantium in Forge's armory. Forge revealed that the Professor Xavier ordered that this pool of liquid adamantium must be used whenever they needed to put Wolverine back together in case he died or worse.

Soon after Beast and Sage discovered that one of the Krakoa's clean research facility located in California was attacked prompting Wolverine, Kid Omega and Domino to quickly confront the attackers. But as Wolverine and Kid Omega were jumping through one of the Krakoan gate in order to teleport to the California's facility, the attackers blew up the gate on their side during the teleportation which be-headed Kid Omega and cut Wolverine in half and left Domino stranded on Krakoa.

Thanks to his healing factor, Wolverine survived and warned Domino to hurry up before the attackers could escape. With the Krakoa gate down, Domino contacted Beast and Sage and asked them to tell Black Tom to find Gateway in order to teleport to the California's facility. Once done Domino was joined by Forge, they retrieved Wolverine's lower body and then prepared to teleport to Wolverine's location.

At the California's facility, after killing all the workers, the attackers stole several Krakoan petals and were about to leave. Despite missing his lower body, Wolverine was able to catch up to them and killed one of them, but in his condition he was no match for the rest of the attackers and ended up being riddled with bullets.

But Wolverine's actions allowed Domino, Forge and Gateway to arrive just in time to stop the at-tackers from getting away. Angry by what happened to her previously, Domino killed two of them while Gateway killed the others. While Domino and Gateway were busy handling the attackers, Forge quickly rushed to Wolverine, smashed his lower body and his upper body together and told Logan to wait until his healing factor took care of his guts and fused his spinal cord. Still angry, Domino was about to kill the last of the attacker despite Beast ordering her to stand down as they needed a prisoner alive to know more about the attack, but after discovering that the last attacker wasn't a bioweapon like the ones she encountered previously she spared his life.

The mission over and after healing from his injuries, Wolverine went to check on Domino to see if she was okay, he then told her that Kid Omega was about to be resurrected soon but in the meantime they could enjoy the quiet. Elsewhere, Beast and Marvel Girl interrogated the last surviving attacker and discovered in his mind the face of their true enemy: The man with the peacock tattoo.

Ani-Men

Ani-Men

Background:
They were the former board members of the bankrupt corporation, Repli-Tech Industries. When Repli-Tech's CEO Rex Rogan discovered that the company was going under, he had his top scientist, Doctor Lovecraft, use an experimental DNA treatment to transform Rex and the others into powerful beast men. Rex became a lion-man, his assistant and lover Irena, became a cat-woman named Reena. Others were transformed into rhinoceros-men, whale-men, lizard-men, scorpion-men, etc.

Naming himself Maximus Rex, Rogan provided his Ani-Men with the glory and power that he had promised them. He opened a private stadium called the Arena, where the Ani-Men would participate in bloody gladiatorial combat. Maximus Rex presided over the festivities to an audience filled with the wealthiest elite the city of New York had to offer. Rex himself would also engage in combat, but always as the main event of the evening.

Reena, eventually grew sickened with what happened to her and the others. Betraying her lover, she sought sanctuary with the Justice League of America. She told the League about Rex and the Ani-Men and the League fought up against the Ani-Men on at least three separate occasions. The Ani-Men proved powerful though and League members Elongated Man, the Flash and Hawkman all suffered severe injuries.

What Rex and the others didn't know however, was that the process that gave them their animal powers, was also robbing them of their humanity. They eventually devolved into a completely animalistic state. The League determined that the Ani-Men were now just normal animals and no longer presented a threat to humanity. They left them to eke out their own lives on a small island off the coast of Newfoundland.

HISTORY
When he discovered that Repli-Tech was going bankrupt, he initiated a radical tactic that he promised would provide his company's board of directors and he with ultimate power. Relying upon the services of his top scientific mind, Doctor Lovecraft, the board members underwent an experiment in DNA manipulation that trans-formed them into human-animal hybrids. The process gave Rogan great power, but at the expense of his sanity.

Calling himself Maximus Rex, Rogan established the Arena, a private stadium, the function of which, was to provide gladiatorial games for the elite and super-rich. The Arena proved extremely popular and patrons were able to satisfy their blood-lust by watching Rogan's Ani-Men slaughter captured prisoners for sport.

Rogan's loyal assistant and lover, Irena, could no longer stomach Rogan's actions. She turned to the aid of the Justice League of America and implored them to stop Rogan's Ani-Men. Some of the League members were reluctant to trust Irena (now calling herself Reena), and felt that she was as culpable in the slaughter of innocent civilians as Rex.

The League fought against Maximus Rex and the Ani-Men, but were soundly defeated. Elongated Man and the Flash suffered severe injuries although they recuperated quickly.

With the location of the Arena compromised, Rex relocated his Ani-Men to a private island off the coast of Newfoundland. The League fought against them a second time, and during this fight, they discovered that the process that transformed Rex and the others into the Ani-Men was having an adverse effect. The process was evolving them into true beasts. Before long, they lost all of their humanity and became true animals. The League determined that they no longer posed a threat and left them on the island.

HISTORY
It was Irena who first presented the company's board members with the devastating news that Repli-Tech was going bankrupt. To save themselves from lives of destitution and possible imprisonment, Rex Rogan had all of the board members, as well as Irena, participate in a scientific experiment that transformed them into human-animal hybrids. Irena was trans-formed into a dark-skinned cat-woman and began referring to herself simply as Reena.

Rogan (now known as Maximus Rex) used his newfound gifts to establish a gladiatorial combat stadium called the Arena. At the Arena, wealthy patrons would pay top dollar to watch the Ani-Men slaughter captured civilians for sport. Although Reena remained loyal to Rex for quite a while, it was only a matter of time before her conscience could no longer allow her to play witness to such atrocities.

Reena encountered the Justice League member known as Firestorm and begged him for sanctuary. After hearing her tale, Fire-storm brought Reena to the Justice League Satellite to keep her safe from Maximus Rex's bloodlust. The other League members did not readily trust Reena, believing that she was just as responsible as the other Ani-Men for the atrocities that had been committed. Still, they investigated the matter and Reena remained aboard the satellite.

They eventually outfitted Reena with a micro-transmitter that enabled the League to track Rex and the Ani-Men to a small island off the coast of Newfoundland. Rex was enraged at Reena's betrayal and the two came to blows. The fight was inconclusive however, as the process that had granted the Ani-Men their powers was now devolving them into a completely animalistic state. Reena trans-formed fully into a cat and remained on the island.

For example, an iron bar has Excellent (20) material strength would require an Excellent (20) intensity Power FEAT to be disintegrated. The power rebounds upon Avalanche as a blunt attack if he uses it in an attempt to destroy a living target.

Earth Control: Avalanche can create a wave of semi-molten earth with a 4-area range that inflicts Remarkable (30) blunt attacks to all in its path. A target's body armor protects from damage as usual, but he can still be slammed or stunned by this attack.

LIMITATION: Avalanche's powers only affect non-living matter or his own body.

EQUIPMENT:
Body Armor: Avalanche's costume provides Good (10) protection against physical and energy at-tacks.

TALENTS: Languages Greek & English

CONTACTS: Mystique

HISTORY
Dominic Petros was born in Agios Nikolaós, on the Greek island of Crete. A mutant with the powers to generate powerful seismic waves from his hands strong enough to shatter inorganic matter and create localized earthquakes. Seeing his own kind hunted and killed made him realize how ignorant mankind could be and he decided to hide his mutant powers from the world.

He was approached by the mutant known as Mystique to join the second incarnation of the Brotherhood of Mutants in hopes of assassinating Senator Robert Kelly who wanted to register mutants. They attacked him during Kelly's hearings on the menace that mutants allegedly pose to humanity in general, but were stopped by the X-Men.

Petros remained with the Brother-hood for quite some time, only briefly leaving to attempt to black-mail the state of California into paying him an enormous sum to prevent him from using his power to trigger a major earthquake. He returned to the Brotherhood after being stopped by the Hulk.

Petros was among the Brother-hood members when Mystique turned the team over to the government to serve time for their crimes as the government's strike force. Often finding themselves in semi-legitimate covert operations as a member of Freedom Force, Petros clashed with several super-hero teams such as the X-Men and the Avengers.

On a mission in Kuwait during the war of Operation: Desert Storm, Petros was forced to abandon his Freedom Force teammates Blob and Pyro. After this mission, Freedom Force was dissolved, and Petros became a free agent mercenary.

When Pyro, a good friend of Petros, was diagnosed with the Legacy Virus, he did whatever he could to aid him in his struggle for survival. While free from the Legacy Virus himself, he would join a band of infected mutants to seek a cure by attempting to obtain Isotope-E from the High Evolutionary. Quicksilver was headquartered at the Evolutionary's base at the time and elicited help from Heroes for Hire, who defeated the mutants.

Petros was later recruited by the X-Men's Banshee to form a paramilitary force that could police the mutant community, the X-Corps, which enjoyed official sanction from many countries in Europe. When the X-Men learned of the team's existence, they warned Banshee to abandon the idea be-cause he had recruited several known villains.

In fact, Banshee had imprisoned Martinique Jason and used her psychic powers to dull the violent impulses of the "reformed" villains on his team, including Petros. The villain Mystique infiltrated the X-Corps, under the guise of a mutant named "Surge", and freed Mastermind and the other villains. The villains embarked on a rampage through Paris where Petros used his earthquake powers to destroy the Eiffel Tower, but before more damage could be done, the X-Men were able to defeat the rogue villains.

When the Brotherhood reassembled under the leadership of Magneto's protege Exodus, Petros was among their number. The Brotherhood first appeared when they were terrorizing Philadelphia, but they were confronted by the X-Men. The Brotherhood were able to flee before their ultimate purpose was revealed, but they soon took the battle directly to the X-Men, using their member, Juggernaut, to infiltrate the team.

In fact, Juggernaut had turned a new leaf, and betrayed the Brotherhood to side with the X-Men. The X-Men only managed to hold the Brotherhood at bay until their associate Xorn managed to defeat them all by removing his helmet and exposing the Brotherhood and the Juggernaut to the black hole it contained. They were all sucked inside.

The black hole was a portal to Mojoworld, where the Brotherhood would sell the traitor Nocturne and Juggernaut to Mojo and Spiral for a way back home. While Petros alongside Mammomax and Black Tom made it back home, Exodus was accidentally transported to another realm. Leaderless, Petros left the team.

After M-Day, Petros still had his powers, but with so many mutants gone, Petros thought his fight for mutant rights was a thing of the past and retired as a mercenary and activist/terrorist. Calling him-self "Nick", he opened up a small bar (Nick's).

When the X-Men moved their headquarters to San Francisco, Petros was frightened that they would eventually come for him for his past crimes. As he was packing in hopes of leaving his new found life, the X-Men violently popped in with a friendly warning: they had a truce, but they would be back if he ever decided to return to a life of crime. As they left, with his apartment trashed, Petros looked around, mumbling to himself; "F@*!ing X-Men."

During the San Francisco riots after the arrival of the Humanity Now! coalition in town, Hellion, Lorelei, Meld, Sunspot, Adam X, Match, and Avalanche met in his bar in the Sunset District of San Francisco and chose to oppose the H.A.M.M.E.R. curfew. They were all stopped and jailed by the Dark X-Men and H.A.M.M.E.R agents.

He joined the mutants on Utopia at least part-time. Avalanche assisted in the defense of San Francisco against Juggernaut during the Serpent War.

Later, he was seen in the San Francisco subway system, fighting Nimrods alongside Husk, Sunspot, and Boom-Boom.

He was offered a place at the Jean Grey School by Wolverine, but he declined due to the fact that he had a bar in San Francisco, along with the fact that being associated with Utopia offered him all kinds of protective benefits.

Avalanche was captured by the Red Skull and his S-Men, who lobotomized him, removing his frontal cortex and replacing it with a machine that turned Avalanche into a murderous puppet. Avalanche was made to go berserk in New York, creating a terrorist attack to renew the populace's hatred and fear of mutants. After a brief fight with Captain America, Avalanche was made to jump off a cliff, unwillingly killing himself.

Avalanche was one of many mutants who were resurrected by the X-Men and invited to stay on the mutant nation of Krakoa.

HISTORY
Captain Universe is not one person. In one sense, it is not a person at all--it is the Uni-Power (an aspect of the Enigma Force) and a manifestation of the Universe itself, a sentient energy field that seeks out people in great peril and bonds with them. In another sense, it is every person--it is the potential for heroism that lives in each of us. When the Uni-Power chooses a partner, it endows that person (or, rarely, persons) with the powers, memories, and costume of Captain Universe. The partner can use the powers of Captain Universe until the peril is surmounted. However, if the partner tries to use those powers for personal gain or for evil, the Uni-Power immediately deserts him or her or them.

There is no apparent pattern in Captain Universe's appearances or accomplishments. In one universe (and possibly in all universes), it is the Guardian of Eternity, the sum of all life, and is thus responsible for protecting all life in existence.

The first known partner of Captain Universe was Ray Coffin of Florida. Baron Karza had come from the Microverse to menace Earth. A Time Traveler, also from the Microverse, appeared to Coffin, warned him of the danger, and offered him the Uni-Power. Coffin accepted and drove Karza away. With the mission completed, Coffin reverted to normal, and the Uni-Power passed to another. No Time Travelers have appeared to subsequent partners; the Uni-Power simply, and instantly, bonds with them.

Other partners have ranged from a dog to the Silver Surfer. Missions have ranged from facing down a bully to saving the world. Most of these partnerships have gone unreported. However, the US government has established a secret agency, Division U, to track and study Captain Universe and the Uni-Power, so far with little result. A.I.M. has been studying the same phenomena.

The Uni-Power began to experience memory and power loss and traveled to Earth in search of a willing human host. This is where it found Gabriel Vargas, who agreed to bond with the entity and travel into the Microverse in search of that which was causing these problems.

But first, the Uni-Power needed to process, replicate and download the powers of several super-humans to regain some stability. After bonding with the Hulk, Dare-devil and X-23, it went to the Fantastic Four for help.

Mr. Fantastic, not one to refuse an opportunity to study the Uni-Power up close, agreed to help the Uni-Power discover the source behind its problems before they were at-tacked by Gladiator of the Shi'ar Empire, who had orders to take him back to his superiors for imprisonment and study.

The Uni-Power bonded with the Invisible Woman before Gladiator could get his hands on it and a battle ensued. During this time, the Invisible Woman had the Uni-Power bond with Gladiator to make him see the truth about the current dilemma it was facing.

When Gladiator and the Uni-Power found out that Mr. Fantastic was incapable of repairing the problem, Gladiator offered to take the Uni-Power back to the Empire as a guest in the hopes that their scientists could do what Reed could not.

The Uni-Power accepted Gladiator's offer and began their journey to the Shi'ar Throneworld of Chandilar. However, as they were leaving Earth's Solar System, Gladiator and the Uni-Power were intercepted and captured by an energy-consuming tyrant named Krosakis.

Krosakis used his vampiric-like energy siphoning abilities to force the Uni-Power to bond with him. This gained the attention of the Silver Surfer, who confronted and fought Krosakis and freed the Uni-Power from his control by overloading Krosakis with the Power Cosmic.

The Uni-Power then bonded with the Silver Surfer, who infused the Uni-Power with a portion of his Power Cosmic and managed to repair its memory loss and power fluctuations.

In addition to the repairs, bonding with the Power Cosmic put in place several protective barriers that would make it impossible for anyone to tamper with the Uni-Power ever again.

The Silver Surfer then escorted the Uni-Power back to Earth, where it merged with a paraplegic Desert Storm veteran named Gabriel Vargas, whom the Uni-Power had made a bargain with following an incident that had resulted in the death of a police officer and severe injury to the Captain Universe (Ted Simmons) that had preceded Gabriel.

After getting used to the feeling of walking again for the first time in almost a decade, Gabriel, now in the guise of Captain Universe, parted ways with the Silver Surfer and began making his way into the Microverse.

Two years later after the undocumented events of Gabriel's excursion into the Microverse, he resurfaced somewhere within the confines of the Kree Empire or rather what was left of it following the First Annihilation War and attacked a group of Kree Soldiers, whom he thought were slaughtering innocent people.

After learning that these so-called innocent people were actually Annihilation Wave sympathizers, Gabriel allowed himself to be taken into custody, and was imprisoned alongside Bug, Deathcry , Mantis, Rocket Raccoon and Groot while awaiting trial.

Following the initial conquest of both Kree and Annihilation Wave territories by Ultron and the Phalanx, former Lunatic Legion leader Galen-Kor was ordered by Ronan the Accuser to create a low-tech task force capable of successfully infiltrating and destroying a new version of the Phalanx Technophage Virus capable of spreading it further and faster than they would be able to via their standard methods.

Peter Quill, who had accidentally handed the keys to the kingdom, so to speak, to Ultron and the Phalanx when a group of infected Spaceknights were allowed to up-grade the Kree Defense Network with a program called "A-Ware" was forced to take on the mantle of Star-Lord once more and was paired up with Gabriel and the others to create the task force Ronan desired.

Together, Gabriel and the rest of the "Dirty Half-Dozen" descended upon Hala without mercy and began viciously fighting their way through the heart of their newly conquered territories against Ul-tron's minions. In the process, several problems began to rise along the way, the first being the small feud between Gabriel and Deathcry, which continued to escalate until Deathcry went berserk and tried to kill Gabriel who, in self defense, obliterated Deathcry using the Uni-Power.

Gabriel was mentally traumatized by the event after realizing exactly what it was he had done and went into a shell-shocked state of being, which he remained in until he decided to stay behind and hold off an army of flesh-eating insect-like Phalanx drones while the others made their escape.

Mantis, who had cloaked herself to keep from being captured by the Phalanx along with the others, sent a telepathic message to Gabriel, who managed to survive the Phalanx onslaught and told him that he was now their only hope for victory.

After meeting back up and con-versing with Mantis, Gabriel detached himself from the Uni-Power and sent it on a mission to infiltrate and hack the Phalanx Datacore possessing the cure to the new Phalanx Virus, which Star-Lord had discovered was airborne and in-side the bodies of Hala's inhabit-ants.

The Uni-Power complied and headed towards the Datacore, where it merged with one of the Phalanx Planner Drones and corrupted its programming. The Uni-Power allowed the drone to think that it was in control of the Uni-Power and that upon accessing the Datacore it would be able to replicate the Uni-Power and create an army of Uni-Powered Phalanx drones, therefore making it the most favored Phalanx of all.

When its fellow Phalanx refused to allow the Uni-Powered Planner Drone to access the Datacore, it became angry and destroyed them all, thus allowing it to enter the Datacore unhindered. However, when this happened, the Uni-Power revealed its ruse and not only retrieved the data it sought but also obliterated the Datacore, thus destroying every bit of data they had collected in the short time since the conquest of Hala. The Uni-Power then merged with Gabriel once more, allowing him to fend off the Phalanx while his teammates stole a getaway vessel.

After returning to base, the Uni-Power shared the data it had collected with the Kree Science Division and amicably parted ways with Gabriel.

A new Captain Universe surfaced in New York City and tried to kill Juggernaut, and Spider-Man was caught in the middle of the conflict.

When Spider-Man was chasing Captain Universe, he sensed the eruption of several large tremors deep under the Earth's crust and went to check out the rapidly growing problem.

When he found that Earth's tectonic plates were coming undone Captain Universe began to question his true destiny, thus giving the Uni-Power itself a chance to speak and hopefully guide Captain Universe in the right direction. However, be-fore Captain Universe could fully repair the shattered tectonic plates he sensed the Juggernaut's presence, shut out the Uni-Power's voice, erupted forth from under-neath the Earth his adversaries stood upon and attempted to kill the Juggernaut once more.

The new Captain Universe revealed himself to be William Ngu-yen, a former employee of a major financial firm that the Juggernaut tore through while attempting to outrun Spider-Man. When was about to commit suicide, William prayed for forgiveness and found those prayers answered by the Enigma Force, which imbued William with the Uni-Power and transformed him into the Captain Universe that now held both Juggernaut and Spider-Man prisoner.

Spider-Man asked whether William had fixed the fractures or not, to which William replied no and declared that killing the Juggernaut was the only thing that mattered to him. This, of course, deeply of-fended the Enigma Force who stripped William of his power and transferred it over to the Juggernaut. With the powers of Captain Universe at his disposal, the Juggernaut delved deep into the Earth, located the fractures and fixed them. The Enigma Force then commended the Juggernaut for his work and sent the Uni-Power on its way.

Three former hosts of the Uni-Power -- Invisible Woman, Spider-Man and X-23 -- were all contacted by the Enigma Force once again when the Whirldemon King, a powerful entity once defeated by the time-travelling Prince Wayfinder of Ithaka and creator of the Enigma Force itself, escaped imprisonment.

When X-23 sacrificed herself to save Valeria Richards from pos-session by the King the Uni-Power bonded with her a second time. While trapped in the Whirldemons' prison dimension, a connection was explicitly made between a starry apparition that enabled Laura to throw off the influence of a demon attempting to coerce her into serving it, when the star-shaped mark left on Laura's palm after that encounter was recognized by the Whirldemon King as associated with the Enigma Force. Laura then used the Uni-Power to wound the Whirldemon King and sealed him back in his prison dimension, before returning her to Earth. During these events, the Enigma Force told Laura that she had been designated the future heir to its power.

The Universe became sentient once more, as it possessed Tama-ra Devoux, a young amnesic woman who suffered an accident and was left in a coma for ten years. When asked why it chose her, Captain Universe explained that it chose Tamara because she was broken and dying, as it was. Captain Universe joined the Avengers, who offered to help mend both Tamara and Captain Universe

At some point, Tony Stark found Tamara's lost daughter and reunited the two once again. Tamara seemingly retired from the Avengers to work at a diner and take care of her daughter, however, when Tony and Steve Rogers met to discuss the incursions at her diner, the Captain Universe persona resurfaced and attacked Tony, accusing him of having known all along why she was dying and not doing anything to fix it.

When the Inheritors attacked Earth-616 and the Spider-Totems hiding there, the Superior Spider-Man, as part of his plan to defeat them, returned to Earth-13 and used the remaining traces of its Captain Universe's energies to build a device to call Captain Universe to Earth. It was indignant at the fact that someone had called on him rather than him coming to them and insulted many of the Spiders for their failures. However, Miles Morales snapped back at Captain Universe for the fact he's waiting for someone with too high of an ideal while they're trying to save the universe. This impressed him enough to bond with the young Spider. As the Spiders united to attack the Inheritors, Miles con-fronted Solus and used the Uni-Power combined with his Venom Blasts to keep the patriarch away from him, having learned from the last Captain Universe. When Solus became distracted by the arrival of Spiderling and her role as the Patternmaker, Miles enacted his part of the Superior Spider-Man's final plan, having retrieved Leopardon's Sword Vigor and threw it at the Inheritor, killing him for good. When the other Inheritors were resurrected without their powers and memories erased, the Enigma Force left Miles.

Controllers

Background:
The race known as the Controllers were an immortal species of advanced and highly scientific beings that were descendant of the male inhabitants of the planet Maltus. On that ancient world, the Maltusians reached the height of their civilization due to the abilities given to them by the Symbionts. However, a scientist by the name of Krona conducted a forbidden experiment to view the origins of creation and thus unleashed evil on the cosmos as well as robbed it of billions of years of potential life as entropy was introduced into the universe. Thus, the Maltusians abandoned Maltus and settled on the planet Oa where they adopted the mantle of Guardians of the Universe. The early proto-Controllers were known to have renounced the use of personal force during this era. Among their initial creations was a race of android interstellar peacekeepers known as the Manhunters designed to enforce order and defeat evil. However, the machines eventually revolted against their crea-tors leading to the thousand-year-old Manhunter rebellion which was ultimately defeated when the robots landed on Oa to claim the energy of the Central Power Battery which overloaded their weapons. Rather than destroy them, the Guardians exiled the androids from their surface and allowed them to return to the worlds they formerly protected and being powerless as punishment. This caused a schism to erupt among the Oans with some believing that this was a mistake which caused a fracture in their unity when these dissidents were asked to leave Oa which they did so with their own personal equipment.

It was this faction of Oans that became the progenitors of the Controllers who influenced their own evolution to the point that they were far different in appearance from the Guardians of the Universe. They were now far taller and possessed a pink skin as being notable factors of their new forms. These Controllers initially believed in a life of quiet contemplation and being alone in their corner of the universe but quickly realized that outside forces were capable of threatening them. Thus, they decided to combat and destroy all sources of evil which highlighted their different methodology when compared to their Oan cousins. This led to them taming weapons such as the Sun-Eaters which were to be used to destroy entire star systems that they deemed were corrupted by evil and also led them to enslaving the planet Minosyss as it was a Nexus Point allowing them to teleport their weapons into target regions in order to destroy them. Such actions were later deemed too extreme even for their standards and the planet along with its Sun Eater factory were abandoned. Another world they transformed into a factory planet for their arsenals was the Planet in Limbo located in between dimensions. Lastly, the Controllers were noted as being the greatest scientists in the universe with them converting entire planets into scientific outposts such as Laboratory World 7431. Among the greatest of their creations was the device known as the Miracle Machine that turned thoughts into reality.

This branch of the Oan species became increasingly active in interstellar activities following the Crisis on Infinite Earth's when the Anti-Monitor attempted to conquer the Multiverse. Among their out-posts was one guarded by one of their kind that contained a powerful Sun-Eater weapon that was dis-covered by the warlord Mongul I. After his defeat at the hands of the Kryptonian known as Superman, he intended to get his revenge in the entirety of the planet Earth by destroying it. Thus, he killed the Controller guarding the Sun-Eater and unleashed it whilst he battled Superman. This actions in the timeline brought about the intervention of the Legion of Super-Heroes from the 30th Century who battled Mongul and destroyed the Sun-Eater before it could accomplish its goal. At least one Control-ler also became a renegade where he resided on Maltus and attempt-ed to create artificial facsimiles of the Triarch as part of his master plan.

By this point, the Controllers deemed that they could no longer remain outside galactic events and decided to become actively involved in the cosmos. To that end, they decided to create their own corps of interstellar peacekeepers which they called the Darkstars. Equipping these warriors with advanced suits of armor, a mass recruitment program began though the Controllers themselves did not desire to be commanding these warriors. Thus, they gave the task to NEMO and appointed Jeddigar as its Director who was ultimately subservient to the commands of the Honored Controllers. The group eventually grew and be-came a rival to the Oans own Green Lantern Corps with some Darkstars even operating on worlds that were patrolled by a Green Lantern. A clash eventually erupted between the Guardians of the Universe and the Controllers when the mythical Triarch emerged with both Maltusian species commanding their respective law enforcers to not interfere. However, the actions of Hal Jordan and Ferrin Colos led to these forces circumventing their superiors’ orders in order to defeat the Triarch after it was revealed that a Controller was masquerading as the Creator deity, Daalon. Among the problems between the Controllers and the Guardians was also over the matter over the Mosiac Worlds with a re-negotiation over the incident to be discussed. Furthermore, the Controllers offered Vril Dox of L.E.G.I.O.N. the position of Director of NEMO but he turned them down.

Afterwards, the Controllers became increasingly aware of Director Jeddigar's dissatisfaction of their command over him. Though he had authority over the Darkstars, he was subservient to the Controllers commands which led to him secretly working on a plan to become the sole authority in the cosmos. His attempts using NEMO led to him uncovering a doorway to another universe as well as a new-born universe that was ready to expand. Jeddigar desired to move to a reality devoid of the Controllers in order to establish his own rule. At this point in history, the Green Lantern Corps and the Guardians of the Universe were both destroyed when Hal Jordan became Parallax. The destruction of the Corps created a void in the galaxy which the Controllers at-tempted to fill by recruiting former Green Lanterns as Darkstars. When Jeddigar's plans and corruption became more obvious, a Controller went to meet with the de-powered John Stewart and tasked him with unveiling the corrupt Di-rectors plans. This led to an incident where both Ferrin Colos and Jeddigar seemingly died in an explosion as the two fought. In the aftermath, John Stewart was made the new head of NEMO and the Darkstars by the Controllers. As the Darkstars rose in power, the Controllers became impressed with their attributes but felt that the experiment in creating a corps of enforcers failed and thus withdrew their support from the organization in order to concentrate on alternative goals.

With the departure of the Controllers, the Darkstars continued to operate under John Stewart's reign but was later devastated by an at-tack from the New God Grayven. Thus, the organization became effectively defunct with the last three Darkstars perishing in com-bat against the cosmic vampire known as Starbreaker. Deeming that the Darkstars were destroyed because they were too weak, the Controllers sought to create a more potent servant to aid them in their attempts at bringing control to the cosmos. Their machinations led them to abducting Martyn Van Wyck of the planet Earth in order to experiment with him. This resulted in him becoming a powerful pyrokinetic being known as Effigy who battled against the last of the Green Lanterns known as Kyle Rayner. Their conflict eventually brought the Controllers into battle with Rayner who abducted him and create an illusionary environment in his mind where the Green Lantern Corps was restored with him holding the position of Green Lantern Prime. The reason for this deception was to remove Rayner as an obstacle whilst the Controllers moved to the second phase of their plan; creating an army of Effigies to serve them where their Darkstars had failed. Kyle Rayner managed to ultimately overcome the mental manipulations and man-aged to use his willpower to summon his Green Lantern Power Ring where he challenged the lead Controller. This led to the Controllers unleashing their Effigy Corps that did battle with the Green Lantern but it was discovered that their lack of willpower as well as initiative made them effectively useless without their master’s direction. Thus, the Controllers plans were defeated and they teleported away from the battle scene in order to contemplate the disaster.

Afterwards, an unnamed Controller journeyed to the planet Earth in order to recover a cosmic relic known as the Mephistopheles Matrix. During his time there, however, he was captured and held captive by the supervillain known as Doctor Polaris who used the powerful alien to augment his own abilities in an attempt to purge the planet Earth in order to create a better one. Polaris was ultimately defeated by the actions of the Power Company who freed the Controller and allowed him to depart after he explained his original purpose for coming to the planet as well as vowing that he would repay the Humans for their help. The next notable event came when the renegade Maltusian Krona emerged from the Cosmic Egg as a powerful cosmic being with near god-like powers. In an effort to connect with the consciousness of the universe itself, he decided to enlist the aid of the cosmos's most intelligent beings which were the Controllers. He, thus, arrived at their scientific outpost on Laboratory World 7431 where he demanded their obedience and in exchange he would elevate them as well. This led to the Director of the facility agreeing to Krona's demand where they calibrated their equipment with renegade Maltusians help. However, telepathically, the Controllers believed him to be too unstable and dangerous to associate themselves with though his cosmic powers did hold their interest. At the height of the experiment, the Controllers betrayed Krona and turned their advanced technology in him in order to study his energies but his power was too great which led to the destruction of the planetoid along with the death of those Controllers.

After the Sinestro Corps War and during the beginning of the War of Light, the Controllers gathered together where they concluded that they were now a dying species. Furthermore, they lamented their previous attempts at enforcing their control on the cosmos by highlighting the destruction of the Darkstars, the failure of the Effigy Corps and the inability of the Beta Platoon. Once more looking at their Oan cousins, the Controllers decided that they needed to harness the Emotional Spectrum just as the Zamarons were currently doing to make their Star Sapphires who were based on the power of love. To that end, the Controllers detect-ed the presence of a seemingly unclaimed light in the Spectrum that was centered in the Vega System; unknown to them, this was the Orange Light of Avarice and they used the chaos of the aftermath of the Sinestro Corps War to mask their activities. Thus, this group of Controllers journeyed to the Vega System in Space Sector 2828 where they tracked the source of the light to the planet Okaara and intended to claim it to serve as the power for their own power source for their own corps. This singular desire to control the light and use it to serve their purposes was what drove the Controllers to this new goal.

Upon arriving on Okaara, they discovered the Forbidden Forest of Weeds which was overrun by plans which they effortless moved through whilst they looked for the traces of the light. This led them to a temple that led to an under-ground palace where they discovered an Orange Power Battery resting on a pedestal. They were unaware of what creature resided in this residence but they were confident that they were superior to any foe that they would face and wrest control of the power they desired. Its orange light attracted the greed of the Controllers who did not care what light was contained within it so long as they possessed it. As one of the Controllers attempted to claim the Power Battery, Orange Lantern Energy Constructs formed under the direction of Larfleeze who was the holder of the Orange Light of Avarice for billions of years. Angered that the apparent truce between him and the Guardians was broken, he vented his frustration on the Controllers who were consumed by the Orange Lanterns that were dispatched against them. The defeated Controllers were consumed by the Orange Light of Avarice as a result and thus became avatars of its will that Agent Orange were capable of manifesting at times he desired. Their actions, furthermore caused Larfleeze to demand the surrender of the Oans for the apparent violation of the truce. This caused the Guardians along with their renewed Green Lantern Corps to remove the ban on the Vega System and challenge Agent Orange. During the battle, Larfleeze summoned his army of constructs which included the now dead Controllers that battled against his foes.

HISTORY
Born tens of thousands of years ago, Zeus was the youngest son of the Titans Cronus, who ruled Olympus, and Rhea. The Titans were the offspring of the sky god Ouranos and the primeval earth goddess Gaea. Cronus overthrew his father's rule by fatally wounding him. The dying Ouranus prophesied that Cronus would likewise be overthrown by one of his own children. As a result, upon the birth of each of his own children, Cronus had the infant imprisoned in Tartarus, the most dismal section of the extra dimensional underworld known as Hades. The offspring he sent there were Hades, Poseidon, Hera, Demeter, and Hestia. Ap-palled at the mistreatment of their children, Cronus's wife Rhea concealed her sixth pregnancy from him and secretly gave birth to Zeus on Mount Lycaeum in Arcadia, an area of the land now known as Greece. Rhea gave the infant Zeus to the safekeeping of Gaea who hid him on the island of Crete.

Zeus grew to adulthood among the shepherds of Mount Ida, Crete, and then set about taking revenge on Cronus. Zeus went down into Tartarus and freed his siblings, who had all now grown to adulthood, Zeus also freed the three one-eyed giants called Cyclopes and the three hundred-handed giants called Hekatonchieres, all six of whom Cronus had imprisoned there for fear they would help over-throw him. The grateful Cyclopes taught Zeus how to wield his energy-manipulating powers in battle.

Zeus and his allies fought a ten-year war with the Titans which ended with Zeus's victory. He imprisoned most of the male Titans in Tartarus and established himself in the small "pocket" dimension of Olympus as supreme ruler of the Olympian race.

Zeus married the goddess Hera, but he engaged in many affairs with goddesses, titans, nymphs and mortal women and produced various famous offspring. By Hera, he sired Ares, Eris, Hebe and Hephaestus. His first lover was Metis, a Titan he sired Athena. A relationship with Dione, a Titan produced Aphodite. He was involved with Leto and sired the twins; Apollo and Artemis. He was also involved with Maia a Nymph and sired Hermes.

Typhon the last of the Titans threatened Olympus. Typhon lost the final battle against Zeus was banished from Olympus and swore vengeance. The mortals would know about this battle as a myth but mistakenly they thought that Typhon had one hundred draconian heads.

50,000 B.C., the inhabitants of Atlantis seemingly worshiped Jupiter.

For some reasons, Alexander of Macedon and his armies were briefly sent to the Hyborian Age, 10,000 years before their era, and the descendants of those who stayed there invoked "Zoos", a god unknown to Conan.

Around 8000 BC, at the end of the Hyborian Age beings known as the Olympians traveled from the inter-dimensional realm of Olympus via a nexus located on Mount Olympus to Earth. They began interacting with the humans of the region who began to worship them.

Zeus engaged in many love affairs with mortal women.

Zeus became infatuated with Alcmena wife of Amphitryon, king of Thebes, Greece. He seduced her by taking the form of her husband. She gave birth to Hercules. It was revealed he created him to be the champion of mankind.

Zeus had an affair with Semele the daughter of King Cadmus of Thebes, who impregnated her and sworn to grant her every wish. Tricked by Zeus' jealous wife Hera, she asked Zeus to reveal himself to her in all his glory and perished. Her son Dionysus was born there, rescued by Hermes at the behest of Zeus. He eventually reunited with his father atop Mount Olympus.

Zeus also learned that Greece's Mount Olympus, the location of the main inter-dimensional nexus be-tween the Olympian dimension and Earth, lay near Olympia, the principal city of the Eternals. Zeus and his daughter Athena, goddess of wisdom, held a meeting with Zuras, the leader of the Eternals, and his daughter Thena. Noticing the strong physical resemblance between Zeus and Zuras and be-tween Azura and herself, Athena suggested that the Olympian gods and the Eternals form an alliance whereby the Eternals would act as the gods' representatives on Earth. The other three enthusiastically agreed, and Azura took her current name of Thena to signify the signing of the pact. However, over the years many ordinary human be-ings came to think of many Eternals not as the gods' representatives but as the gods themselves. This led to a growing resentment by the gods towards the Eternals which recently erupted into a brief war.

In 146 B.C., the Romans conquered Macedonia and then Greece. They even adopted Olympian Gods, changing many of their names in the process. Zeus be-came "Jupiter"

When Christianity finally replaced the worship of the Olympian gods in the Roman Empire, Zeus decided that the time had come for the Olympians to break most of their ties with Earth.

Since the worship of the Olympian gods had died out, Zeus forbade his brother Pluto, ruler of Hades, the Olympian underworld, from collecting any more of the souls of the dead from Earth. Pluto obeyed the edict resentfully. Finally, the bitter Pluto convinced himself that Zeus had proven himself to be an incompetent leader by allowing the worship of the Olympians to come to an end. Zeus, noting Pluto's increasingly ominous rebelliousness, warned him against attempting to overthrow him. Nonetheless, Pluto has attempted unsuccessfully to overthrow Zeus, as has Zeus's own son, the war god Ares.

A millennium ago Zeus' son Hercules led a band of warriors he had transported through time from ancient Greece to battle Norsemen who were under the protection of the Asgardian god Thor. This conflict led to war between the Asgardians and Olympians. Zeus secretly met with Odin, ruler of the Asgardians, and the two gods not only put an end to the war, but also formed an alliance to defend Earth from the danger posed by the alien Celestials.

In 1000 AD, the Third Host of the Celestials occurred, during which the aliens informed they would return 1,000 years later to judge Earth's right to continue existing. Zeus attended the Council of God-heads meeting to discuss this threat.

For reasons unknown, Zeus had gone on an extended leave of absence, leaving Olympus under the command of Aphrodite during a period in which the Olympians began adopting their Roman names. Eventually Aphrodite, as Venus, relocated Olympus to the planet named after her. She soon grew bored and returned to Earth to find real love. In 1949, Zeus (now calling himself Jupiter) learned of this and was furious. He appeared be-fore Venus and demanded that she return to Olympus at once, but she refused, stating that she had work on Earth to do by helping lovers stay together. Jupiter then offered her a challenge that she could not find the perfect couple and keep them together in a week. Venus did find this couple in Meg Saunders and Danny Fine. In an effort to make Venus lose, Jupiter sent Apollo and Daphne to Earth in mortal guises to try and break the couple up. However, Venus saw through the attempt and foiled it winning her right to stay on Earth.

Jupiter was more benevolent to Venus' mission thereafter, but regularly tested her right to remain on Earth. Having previously banished the Asgardian god Loki to Hades, Jupiter was forced to let him loose due to a loophole in his banishment by allowing Venus to remain on Earth. Loki then set about spreading hate across the Earth until Venus promised to be his queen in Hades. Jupiter then intervened telling Venus that she passed her test and banished Loki to Hades once more. Next when Jupiter's daughter Joya accused Venus of forsaking her godhood for the love of mortal Whitney Hammond, Jupiter wearily agreed to have a trial to prove Joya's accusations. Both Venus and Whitney Hammond were brought to Olympus to stand trial. However, the trial abruptly ended when Loki invaded Olympus. Joya, seeing the errors of her was disguised herself as Venus and offered herself as a bride to Loki to stop the invasion. Soon after, Hammond proved his devoted love to Venus and Jupiter returned the couple to Earth.

In 1950, Jupiter became more of a help to Venus, often coming to her aid whenever she summoned him. When Venus was attempting to reunite long lost lovers, Rona Sanders and George Huston, she found herself in trouble due to the fact that Huston had fallen in love with her and refused to love Rona, who was dying of an illness. Apparently, only George's love for Rona could cure her. Venus called on Jupiter for aid and he imbued Rona with a portion of Venus' powers causing George to love her and cure her of her illness at the same time. Later, when Apollo requested to return to Earth to once more try and win Venus' love, Jupiter denied the request. In order to get around this, Apollo made a deal with the demon Zoroba to possess his body while Apollo's spirit was sent to Earth. Zoroba took the opportunity to bring Loki to Olympus and posing as Apollo attempted to convince Jupiter to allow Loki to leave his exile in Hades and reside on Olympus. However, Venus eventually exposed the plot and forced Apollo to return to his body, and Jupiter once more banished Loki back to Hades. Shortly there-after, Venus and rocket scientist Rodney Dover found themselves stranded on the moon and imper-iled by a volcanic eruption. Jupiter was summoned once more and he stopped the flow of lava then dis-patched Mercury to return Venus and Rodney to Earth.

Earth was once more in peril when scientist Michael Templar built a device that threatened to hurtle the Earth into the sun. Venus sought Jupiter's aid to stop this, but it was beyond his power to stop the Earth's path to destruction. Instead, he had Mercury take Venus to the man responsible to try and get him to stop the disaster. As Earth edged closer to extinction, Jupiter appealed to Venus to return to Olympus, warning her that even an immortal goddess might not be able to survive plunging into the sun. However, Venus eventually convinced Michael to build the device and saved the Earth. Not long after Olympus was endangered by creatures that were literally spawned from the mind of mad scientist Buffanoff. Jupiter recruited the aid of Apollo and the Asgardian thunder god Thor to defend Olympus from the creatures. When the creatures proved to be too powerful to stop, Venus saved Olympus by tricking them into following her back into the Professor's dying brain where the creatures also perished.

In 1951 Jupiter could not aid Venus when she was trapped in the nation of Cassarobia due to the fact that Loki had placed a spell over the region that prevented the Gods from using their powers there. However, Jupiter appealed to Loki's love for Venus when she was captured by Cassarobia's sultan and convinced him to remove the spell, saving Venus from joining sultan's harem. Jupiter next aided Venus by freeing her from the hypnotic control of Romany hypnotist Roberto. Later he allowed Venus to seek the aid of Mars and Thor to stop insane inventor John Dark and his mechanized army, and Thor again when the Earth was terrorized by the Creeping Death. Venus also sought counsel from Jupiter prior to undertaking a mission to the planet Mars. Jupiter helped Venus, when she was almost strangled to death by the Raoul Hamud, by teleporting her to Olympus in order to save her life. Later when Venus captured Adonis after he ran amok on Earth, she turned him over to Jupiter for punishment.

Soon after, Zeus ceased offering his assistance to Venus for reasons unexplained. He eventually resumed using his traditional Grecian name after this period.

Zeus remained the ruler of the Olympian gods and of Olympus itself, as well as a staunch ally of the Asgardians. He set up the Olympia Corporation to maintain a small presence on Earth.

An alternate future of the 24th century has been glimpsed in which Zeus and the other Olympian gods, except for Hercules, left Olympus for another plane of existence. Hercules remained behind to father a new race of gods. Whether or not the Olympian gods would come to such an end in our uni-verse is as yet unknown.

Recently, Zeus led the Olympian gods in battle against the forces of Mikaboshi. With the aid of the remaining gods of the Japanese pantheon, who had been attacked and decimated by Mikaboshi's forces, the Olympians were victorious. Zeus sustained severe injuries at the hands of Mikaboshi and died.

His brother Pluto took him prisoner and put him on a mock trial, to be judged by all his old enemies and other various villains. Despite Hercules' defense of his father, and Zeus' words on his own behalf (that without Zeus (as God) their lives would be ruled by blind coincidence), the jury decided against Zeus, and he was forced to drink the waters from the River Lethe, which erased his memory and regressed his body to that of a child's. He escaped with Hercules and they determined to hide him from Hera until grown. While lacking his once-great strength, he retained his ability to control the weather and summon lightning powerful enough to smite trolls and other monsters.

He was recently returned to his previous form of a full-grown adult after the events of Chaos War and ruled the Olympians from the new Mount Olympus. When Hulk tried to force Zeus to help his family, Zeus then mocked his heroism and gave the green goliath a humiliating defeat in battle, but allowed his son Hercules to rescue Hulk, believing that no torment that he gave to him could be worse than he simply being the Hulk.

Zeus chose to live in Seoul, South Korea under the identity as "Storm." It was there he became a celebrity adored by millions. One evening he was enjoying himself when he was contacted by Hermes. He arrived there to inform him of news of his son Hercules.

Because of actions of the Grandmaster and the Challenger, the Goddess Nyx escaped from her imprisonment, vowing to get her revenge on the Olympus. She arrived with her children, and they set out to try murder all the gods that were there. Finally, with the help of her daughter, Oizys, who caused Zeus to fall into despair, she extracted information from Zeus about her hidden Night Shards, and after he promised her that his son, Hercules and the "Avengers of the Wronged" would avenge him, she immediately snapped his neck, killing him.

Shortly after his apparent death, Zeus and the rest of the Olympian gods were reincarnated and revived into their "true" forms within the "space beyond space" due to the fact that they were fundamental myth aspects of reality and could never truly be killed.

CONTACTS: Justice League, Green Lantern Corps, Simon Baz

HISTORY
Jessica Cruz went on a hunting trip with her friends and unfortunately came across mobsters who were burying a body. Unwilling to have witnesses, the mobsters shot and killed Jessica's friends while Jessica herself managed to escape, but was extremely traumatized by the incident. Jessica developed debilitating anxiety and locked herself in her room for 4 years.

During the Crime Syndicate's rule, she was unwillingly chosen by the Ring of Volthoom, after its former bearer, Harold Jordan of Earth 3, was killed by Sinestro. Unlike the ring's predecessors, the ring forced itself upon Jessica and took over her body. Under the influence of the ring, she attacked her home town and was confronted by the Justice League and Doom Patrol. Through the intervention of Batman, Jessica was able to over-come the ring's influence when he told her that he was a victim like her and that finding strength, even at their worst moment of despair, will overcome their fears.

Allying herself with the Justice League, the Flash called in Hal Jordan, Earth's first Green Lantern, to teach Jessica how to stay in control of her ring. With Hal's help, Jessica mastered the use of the foreign ring.

When Darkseid's daughter Grail arrived on Earth, she attacked Jessica and used her ring to summon the Anti-Monitor to fight her father.

Thinking of ways to stop the fighting between the Anti-Monitor and Darkseid, Jessica helped Mister Miracle break out the Crime Syndicate in order to fight the rampaging monsters. The ring being in close proximity to the Syndicate however overwhelmed Jessica, and the being inside the ring possessed her body and mind.

When Grail summoned the Black Racer, the New God of Death, to kill the Flash. This allows Jessica to jump between Flash the Black Racer, allowing the incarnation of death to apparently kill her. Jessica survives, and it is revealed that the Black Racer killed Volthoom instead, causing the ring to crumble into dust. Immediately afterward, a Green Lantern ring descends at the battlefield and transforms Jessica into a new Green Lantern.

Jessica Cruz is partnered with Simon Baz. They are both assigned to protect earth from huge threats. At the start of the partnership, we see Jessica and Simon chasing a man possessed by rage which indicates that the Red lanterns are behind this. Jessica wants to stop him, but her plans have been thrown into disarray since she fails horribly and was shot by him. However, she quickly recovers. Moreover, Simon knocks him out and rescues Jessica.

On the planet Ysmault, it was revealed that Atrocitus (leader of the Red Lanterns) wants to leave his planet for a new world. He thinks that planet Earth is full of rage, therefore, he must deliver the rage seed. Not only does Jessica need to fend for herself, she now has to deal with her sister (Sara) who is possessed by the rage seed.

Meanwhile, Simon is in a huge battle against Bleez. He was possessed by her for quite some time but he eventually overcame her. Moreover, instead of beating Bleez, he healed her from the rage. Unfortunately, Jessica came back and beat her which resulted in Bleez turning into a Red Lantern once again.

Simon was angry and asked Jessica why she would do that. Jessica was surprised because she thought she had saved his life.

Jessica wakes up due to a missed call from Simon. She's had enough of being an "anxiety Lantern", therefore she and her partner decide to take a day off. They decide to eat pancakes!

Jessica and Simon are finally able to enjoy life for a moment, but it is interrupted sooner then they could have imagined. The Justice League call in and tell them to aid in the fight against a giant sea creature.

At the end of the day, Jessica and Simon have to deal with a criminal who calls himself the "Gambler". Simon is ready to strike, however, it seems that Jessica isn't ready at all. Her fears have returned and she does nothing but freeze. Simon reacts adequately and knocks out the villain. Simon and Jessica are having a short debate about her anxiety.

The next day, Simon tries to make it up to her by treating Jessica with her favorite food....pancakes!

CONTACTS: Freedom Force

HISTORY
As the Crimson Commando, Frank Bohannan was one of a trio of World War II veteran superheroes recruited to be a member of Freedom Force, the original government-sponsored mutant team. Earlier, along with his partners, Stonewall and Super Sabre, Bohannan had become a vigilante who captured criminals, released them, and hunted them in the wilderness of up-state New York. The trio killed the criminals, both to reduce the criminal element in society and for the enjoyment of hunting them down.

Mistaking Storm (at this time leader of the X-Men) for a criminal, the trio hunted and captured her. When Storm and Wolverine eventually defeated the trio, Stonewall and Crimson Commando agreed to turn themselves in to law enforcement authorities and confess their vigilantism. Stonewall, Crimson Commando, and Super Sabre (who had been presumed killed) agreed to join Freedom Force in exchange for a commutation of their sentences.

After Mystique was apparently killed, the Commando succeeded her as Freedom Force team lead-er. Crimson Commando was gravely wounded during a bungled mission in the Middle East when Freedom Force encountered the Iraqi super-team called Desert Sword. Teammate Super Sabre was killed while Avalanche abandoned Blob and Pyro in the desert to save Bohannan's life.

The Crimson Commando next appeared having been turned into a cyborg going by the name of Cyborg X. He had been rebuilt by Care Labs, but a testing accident had caused him to malfunction, bringing him into a confrontation with Spider-Man and Ghost Rider. Cyborg X would later assist Spider-Man in battling the Sinister Six but was believed to have been killed in an explosion at Care Labs.

Now going by only the name Commando, Bohannan next appeared on a mission for Project: Wideawake. He was teamed-up with his former Freedom Force teammate Avalanche to infiltrate the reclusive Empyrean's head-quarters and put his operation out of commission. They were also ordered by a rogue government official to assassinate Polaris of X-Factor.

He lost his powers on M-Day.

Wishing to have his power restored, a depowered and very old Bohannan, whose now human body was in danger of being irreversibly damaged by the cyborg parts designed for his augmented mutant physiology, kidnapped Hope Summers. He was apparently killed by Wolverine.

HISTORY
Justine Hammer is the daughter of the criminal financier Justin Hammer. For years she was forced by her father to prove herself and earn her right to be among the elite. She became the Crimson Cowl and formed the Masters Of Evil to succeed where her father had failed and use the superhuman community to accumulate physical power and influence in the world. Her first team consisted of Klaw, Tiger Shark, Flying Tiger, Man-Killer and a new Cyclone and were first seen fighting Black Widow. When the Thunderbolts, who were all former Masters of Evil themselves, heard someone else was using their name they rushed out to confront these usurpers. Justine hired out her Masters of Evil to a HYDRA who was looking to take charge of the New York under-world. The Masters of Evil were sent to confiscate the contents of a warehouse from a mob boss who wouldn't submit to the new leader-ship. However when the Thunder-bolts showed up she knew that their objective was unattainable so Justine teleported her team away in a flash of light.

The next job for her Masters of Evil was providing security for the pur-chase of some high tech weapons that would make HYDRA's foot-soldiers more formidable. The Thunderbolts found out about the exchange and attacked but this time the Crimson Cowl didn't run, she and her Masters of Evil fought. The Masters of Evil seemed to have the upper hand until Techno (aka the Fixer) got a hold of the weapons that Crimson Cowl was supposed to ensure were delivered to her employer. Seeing again that the operation was lost Crimson Cowl teleported her team away to safety.

At this point Crimson Cowl established a base within an old Factor 3 facility located in Mount Charteris that had been used by numerous others since it was built. She re-moved any mention of the facility from all government and SHIELD files ensuring that they could operate from there in complete secrecy. After it was revealed that the Thunderbolts were in fact criminals in disguise Crimson Cowl sent Cy-clone to attack them and lure them into a meeting where she offered them a place within her new Masters of Evil. Unlike some previous Masters of Evil with a specific agenda she ran her team like a business offering base salaries, profit-sharing and a pension plan. She also showed them a glimpse of her headquarters with all the amenities including labs, saunas and even their own movie theater while the Thunderbolts were living in a cabin in the woods. If they re-fused Crimson Cowl would tell every single one of the Thunder-bolts enemies where they could find them. Justine and her team allowed the Thunderbolts to leave in order to think about their offer. In the meantime the Thunderbolts continued trying to be heroes while thinking about her offer but Justine couldn't let them keep playing both sides trying to find another way out of their predicament. Crimson Cowl sent her Masters of Evil to send the Thunderbolts a message that they had to make their decision join the Masters of Evil or go down hard.

The Crimson Cowl's Masters of Evil were at the Western Currency Facility of the Bureau of Printing and Engraving where they were stealing money, printing plates, ink and paper as well as destroying records. The Thunderbolts found them again and Justine was dis-appointed with the choice they made by attacking her team. Like before she was ready to teleport her team and their stolen goods away but Jolt managed to temporarily overload the teleportation circuits of her cowl so she told her team to kill the Thunderbolts. The Masters of Evil succeeded in subduing the Thunderbolts and Justine had just ordered Klaw to kill them when they were freed by the arrival of Hawkeye in the guise of the Dreadknight. With the arrival of the authorities as well, called by the Thunderbolts, the Crimson Cowl ordered Klaw to get them all out of there since her teleportation circuits were still damaged.

Hawkeye began leading the Thunderbolts and swore that they were going to take down Crimson Cowl's Masters of Evil or die trying giving Justine just a little bit of concern but she was still confident in her plan. In order to draw the Thunder-bolts into a trap the Masters of Evil attacked a small town called Robinette Nebraska. Once they arrived Crimson Cowl activated a weather device creating an instant hurricane over the town and teleported her team away. While the Thunderbolts saved the townspeople the new Citizen V (Dallas Riordan) tried to disable the weather device but was instead captured by Crimson Cowl.

Justine had gathered the largest ever team of Masters of Evil at her base within Mount Charteris and enacted a plan to hold the entire world for ransom. She expanded her previous team of Flying Tiger, Klaw, Tiger Shark, Man-Killer, Cyclone with Quicksand, Lodestone, Icemaster, Blackwing, Constrictor, Man-Ape, Shatterfist, Eel, Super-charger, Bison, Shockwave, Cardinal, Joystick, Scorcher, Sunstroke, Aqueduct, Slyde, Dragonfly and Boomerang. It turned out that all of the jobs the Masters of Evil had done was in order to gain the capital, components and super-villains necessary to build weather modulators all around the world. Once in place she caused the weather all over the world to become destructive and told the world governments she'd turn it off if they gave her a trillion dollars. The Thunder-bolts infiltrated Mount Charteris and took the place of some of her Masters of Evil while Moonstone tried to infiltrate them by offering to join up. Moonstone was kept close to Cowl after she pointed out that the Thunderbolts had taken the place of some of her Masters but it was all so she could destroy the master control unit of the weather machine at the crucial time. Crim-son Cowl's command pod ship crashed but Justine teleported away while leaving Dallas Riordan in an inactive copy of her Crimson Cowl to take the blame in the aftermath. Still angry that the Thunderbolts betrayed her trust and that they believed she was the Crimson Cowl Dallas didn't even speak out in her own defense leaving Justine to continue to plan behind the scenes.

When Dallas revealed herself as having been the new Citizen V the whole time Justine kidnapped her again and kept her prisoner within her complex in Symkaria. It was Cowl's hope that it would cause the V-Battalion and the Thunderbolts would fight and not destroy each other but damage each other enough for her to destroy them both easily. Eventually Dallas escaped from her cell and found her Citizen V equipment allowing her to disable Justine's cowl when she finally found her. The two women fought with whatever weapons they could find and Dallas was surprised at how capable a fighter Justine was without her prehensile cape. While trying to escape to her jet-craft Justine was pursued by Dallas but Justine gained the up-per-hand and flung Dallas over the railing. With Dallas hanging over a chasm hanging on to the cowl Justine unclasped it causing Dallas to fall to the river below revealing her face in the process.

After her father died Justine decided to enact a failsafe plan he had created and sent Cyclone to steal a disk containing the information necessary to activate the plan. Crimson Cowl needed a new team to capture Plant-Man who was instrumental to the plan so she assembled Cyclone, Man-Killer, Gyp-sy Moth, Hydro-Man, Machinesmith and Black Mamba. The final member of the team would be Cardinal who Justine promised the chance for vengeance against Hawkeye whom he blamed for the death of his daughter the Redeemer called Meteorite. Justin Hammer secretly infected every person he came in contact with a biological agent that could be turned into a toxin when activated, Plant-Man was the only one who could activate it. Hawkeye and Songbird told some of Justine's Masters of Evil about this toxin so they joined the heroes in attacking her Symkarian home. Silver Sable confronted Justine at her home which escalated into a fight between the two groups with Hydro-Man, Machinesmith and Black Mamba still following the Crimson Cowl. They captured most of Hawkeye's team but it was a ruse and they managed to distract the Masters of Evil while Plant-Man neutralized the biological toxin. Gypsy Moth returned just in time to use her telekinesis to turn Crimson Cowl's cowl against herself and Machinesmith leaving Justine without her powers and surround-ed by heroes, villains she betrayed and SHIELD agents. Justine was taken into custody.

Justine resurfaced in the wake of Norman Osborn's Siege of Asgard alongside her previously unknown daughter Sasha, having discarded her Crimson Cowl persona and re-established Hammer Industries into a new multi-billion dollar weapons supplier backing an armored exoskeleton type known as Detroit Steele.

The mother-daughter combo teamed up with corrupt generals, soldiers and technology-powered super-terrorists such as the Spy-master and one Ezekiel Stane - whom Sasha is dating. It is also revealed that Sasha's father is Iron Man's old nemesis The Mandarin. As a family, The Mandarin, The Hammers and Stane aim to ruin and discredit Tony Stark as he establishes his new company Stark Resilient.

Justine manipulated General Bruce Babbage and managed to make him commit suicide, allowing her to get to his place in the Pentagon, while Mandarin kid-napped and forced Ezekiel Stane to build the gigantic killing ma-chines Titanomechs along, the also kidnapped, Tony Stark. After Stark and Stane joined forces to create a revolution and escape captivity, Ezekiel and Sasha killed Justine in revenge for what the Mandarin did to Ezekiel.

HISTORY
Arthur Blackwood was born in Decatur, Illinois. He was a seminary student in Chicago who believed that the church should become more active in fighting paganism and godlessness in modern society. Dismissed from the seminary for getting into an altercation with a superior.

Blackwood visited his family crypt to meditate on his life. There he had a religious vision of all of his ancestors who devoted their lives to serving God. In this vision he met the spirit of one of his ancestors who served in the Crusades. This spirit seemingly bequeathed to him the combined power of all his ancestors and dubbed him knight. When Blackwood awoke from this vision, he discovered a sword, shield, and knight's raiment had inexplicably materialized nearby. Blackwood decided to take up the sword and use his new-found power to destroy all pagans and infidels. As his first target, he chose the thunder god Thor, whose claims of godhood seemed blasphemous.

Calling himself the Crusader, Blackwood attacked Thor at a public assembly. Somehow the strength of his faith granted him sufficient power not only to hold his own in pitched battle with the Asgardian, but also to inflict upon Thor a seemingly mortal wound. When Thor reappeared a short time later, his wound fully healed by the power of Odin the Crusader's belief in his own infallibility was shaken. The Crusader was unable to comprehend how a sup-posed agent of the devil like Thor could be superior to him, a self-styled messenger of the Lord. When Thor shattered the Crusader’s sword, the Crusader fled, filled with doubts about the righteousness of his cause.

Blackwood's doubt has often caused him to lose battles rather than win them; this first occurred when fighting the Black Knight. Luke Cage has also able to defeat Blackwood after breaking his sword and once again causing Blackwood to doubt his cause leading, in turn, to yet another de-feat. His doubt also led him to defeat at the hands of Nate Grey, a.k.a. X-Man.

Not too long after the dis-assembly of the Avengers, Electro conducted the breakout of maximum security prison the Raft. Blackwood was held as a prisoner here but would soon escape along with many other prisoners. This escape once again inspired Blackwood to continue his crusade, starting with Doctor Strange. However, his newest crusade would also be last as Strange would use his powers to send Blackwood back to the Raft.

During the Civil War; Blackwood was still active and had organized a religious group of thugs for himself. After hijacking a plane filled with money and planning to bomb the headquarters of several super-heroes, the Crusader and his men are stopped by Wolverine after he hears about their operation. In the process, Wolverine gouges out the Crusader's right eye, while quoting the Bible with "An eye for an eye." However, Wolverine is unable to prevent the plane from crashing down into a cornfield. On impact, the plane suddenly explodes. Wolverine survives the crash, but whether or not the Crusader survived is initially unclear.

Blackwood survived, he joined the Hood's Gang to take advantage of the split in the superhero community caused by the Superhuman Registration Act However, he hadn't been seen after that and likely left the gang after it had broken up.

Crusader didn't appear again until he showed up at a meeting of various villains organized by the Wizard to discuss what to do about Doctor Doom who had unexpectedly decided to become a super-hero and become the new Iron Man. As the Hood brought up the idea of forming a gang of villains to take Doom out, Doom suddenly appeared and took down all of the villains present.

He attended another meeting to discuss Hood's rise as the new Kingpin of crime. He later joined Hood's Gang once more in ran-sacking Castle Doom in search for Doom's fortune.

HISTORY
Doug Ramsey was born to Philip and Sheila Ramsey. Doug's father was a lawyer in Salem Center who had helped Xavier sort out the legal aspects of setting up the School for Gifted Youngsters years before, though he was unaware that Xavier was a mutant, nor that any of his students were either. Doug grew up in Salem Center and became friends with Kitty Pryde, the X-Man Ariel, who he met after she moved to Westchester County to join Professor Xavier's school. Both shared an interest in computers and video games which brought them closer together.

Professor Xavier believed (for reasons unknown) that Doug was a mutant, but took no action to recruit him for the school. Emma Frost made the same discovery and did attempt to recruit him, offering him a scholarship to the Massachusetts Academy in hope of inducting him into her adolescent Hellions, to serve the Hellfire Club's sinister needs. Doug began spending time with Kitty and together they hacked Project Wideawake files. Pryde accompanied Ramsey on a trip to the Academy for his final interview. Believing Emma to be in a coma, Kitty still didn't trust Frost at all due to past experiences and this time was no different. The White Queen captured Kitty and she was later saved by the New Mutants. Ramsey ended up not attending the school, for reasons that were never elaborated on.

While Douglas became a friend to the New Mutants children, they kept their mutant powers and costumed personas from him. How-ever, one night when the New Mu-tants were alone in the mansion, the techno-organic alien, Warlock, arrived and battled the New Mutants in the confusion that erupted. The mutants asked Ramsey for help in communicating with the alien, and revealed their secrets to him. Douglas succeeded in talking with Warlock, and both the alien and Ramsey soon joined the team. Ramsey chose the code-name Cypher, as his mutant ability allowed him to decipher codes and languages. In the School for Gifted Youngsters, the New Mutants were tutored by Professor X and trained in the use of their powers in the Danger Room. Warlock and Cypher shared a close bond, often sticking close together in battle. Doug often felt useless in battle, even though his powers often came more in handy than others.

Doug's first mission with the New Mutants was saving the life of international rock star Lila Cheney from the Vrakanin, where Doug single-handily saved the Earth by deciphering the instructions to a damaged stargate before an overload. After Kitty and Colossus returned from Murderworld, Doug and Kitty created a program, together, that would alter the Murderworld computers.

Doug tracked Karma to Madripoor. After Karma was released of the Shadow King, who was controlling her, the Shadow King possessed Doug next and Karma defeated him on the Astral Plane.

Later, Amora the Enchantress kid-napped the New Mutants to Asgard. Doug ended-up in Vanaheim and after reuniting with his team, Warlock began forming around Doug to become a suit of armor to protect Doug.

After their adventure in Asgard, the New Mutants found themselves under the guidance of a new teacher, Magneto. Magneto was very protective of Doug, a fact that infuriated Doug, because he believed Magneto thought him inferior.

The New Mutants rescued Psylocke from Mojo and Spiral. After finding that Psylocke was being mentally controlled by Mojo, Doug found himself capable of merging physically and mentally with Warlock, so that they could operate as a gestalt. This developed a danger of permanently infecting Ramsey with the Transmode Virus and permanently merging the two so that they would not want to revert to normalcy. After Pyslocke was freed from her mind control, she freed the others as well. Psylocke accompanied the New Mutants back to the school where Doug developed a crush on her.

Warlock's father, Magus, attacked. Illyana quickly teleported them all to Limbo and shortly after, Magus also appeared on Limbo. When merging their forms once more, Cypher tapped into Warlock’s own DNA in order to learn how to "re-code" it. While the rest of the New Mutants distracted Magus, Cypher and Warlock re-wrote the Magus' DNA, effectively reducing him to infancy. Doug began to show slight signs of becoming infected by the Transmode Virus, due to prolonged use of Warlock and himself merging for protection.

At a Hellfire Club event, where Doug was approached by Tarot to comfort his loneliness, but sent her off crying. Doug was approached by Roulette and asked if he was a geek or a player. Doug, wanting to impress Roulette, answered a player and won a game of poker, by using his mutant powers, for the first time, to read facial expressions. After winning a nice amount, Doug was found by the New Mutants drunk and in bed with Roulette. While the tensions arose, Doug believed that Roulette had used her mutant power to win the poker games and struck her, a fact that raised tension between the two groups.

After hearing of an animal creature that was being mistreated after capture, the New Mutants abducted Bird Brain in a contest with the Hellions. Initially jealous of the attention that Wolfsbane showed Bird-Brain, Doug refused to communicate with the creature, until Magneto threatened to return him to the authorities and Doug began to speak with Bird-Brain, to save Rahne Sinclair the loss.

Bird-Brain decided to return home. The New Mutants followed and were captured, by the Ani-Mator and his Ani-Mates. During the battle, Doug wanted to help his friends, but felt that his powers could not help and if he tried to fight with his hands, he would get in the way. When the Ani-Mator aimed a gun at Wolfsbane, Doug couldn't stand still and hurled into the way, getting shot twice by the Ani-Mator. Unnoticed by Wolfsbane, she asked him not to dive into battle like that and Doug's last words were "Don't be mad Rahne... I'll never... do it... again," before falling into endless sleep. After the battle, Doug's body was found, while the Ani-Mator confessed he was responsible. Wolfsbane blamed herself. Magik, in anger, threw Ani-Mator into limbo, where he was eaten alive by demons. Doug's death and noble sacrifice, saving the Ani-Mates and Rahne Sinclair, also drove Magneto far away from his students, as he blamed himself for his death as well as Homo sapiens.

After watching the movie Night of the Living Dead and hearing that Doug would be buried under-ground, Warlock was bewildered by the mixed messages he was getting from his friends about death and "animated" Doug's corpse with his shape-shifting and took him to see his mother and then Wolfsbane, hoping to remind Doug what it was like to be alive and convince him to come back. The New Mutants explained that they had to put Doug's body back, so it could be buried and they said goodbye to their friend at his fu-neral.

Eli Bard, a servant of Selene, tracked down the body of Douglas with the aid of the reanimated Caliban and reanimated him as well, with the aid of the Transmode Virus. Alongside the resurrected Hellions, Cypher infiltrated Utopia and, while the Hellions went after Em-ma, he targeted Magma, as commanded by Selene. After successfully beating Magma comatose and a lengthy battle involving the New Mutants and the Hellions, Douglas was freed from Bard's control by Warlock wielding Magik's Soulsword and rejoined his former teammates. Amara Aquilla was initially scared of the sight of Doug, until he whispered a language he created, just for her to understand, in her ear and she hugged him.

After the return of the mutant messiah, Hope Summers, and Cable to the mainstream timeline, Bastion and his members of the Human Council attacked her tirelessly. Cyclops ordered the New Mutants to attack one of Hodge's Right facilities, where Doug convinced War-lock to absorb Cameron Hodge and his soldier's life-glow to save his friends, and then to aid Cable and a group of X-Men from William Stryker and his Purifiers. After Bastion systematically eliminated all of the X-Men's teleporters, he encased the entire island of Utopia in an impenetrable dome and, at the center, opened a portal to an alternate timeline, where Sentinels ruled and mutants and superhumans were outlawed, that poured out wave upon endless wave of Nimrod-Series Sentinels. Doug was sent into the timestream with X-Force and Cable, using Cable's final energy in his time machine, to stop the Master Mold Sentinels that were producing the Nimrods. Cypher was successful in interfacing with the Sentinels and Cable sacrificed his life to return them to their timeline.

After the attack from Bastion, the team took a vacation and Illyana sensed that Pixie had been captured. Illyana sent Warlock to warn the X-Men and the rest of the team battled the Inferno Babies, where Doug was placed under the influence of Trista. After being beaten, they were taken to Limbo. Doug was ordered to learn a machine that Trista and the others could not understand and he used it to magically erase her mouth, ending her influence over him. After surviving the attack in Limbo by demons and the Elder Gods, it was revealed that Illyana brought Legion back into the mainstream reality to use against the Elder Gods that General Ulysses and Project Purgatory were planning to unleash. Doug was later asked, by Cyclops, to monitor police feeds around the world for crimes that were above the efforts of the local police, but under the radar of heroes such as the Avengers.

When Kuurt attacked San Francis-co, Cyclops sent Dani Moonstar to meet with Asgardian death-goddess Hela, in the hope that she can explain what happens. However, on the way to Las Vegas, Dani was forcibly moved to Hel.

Discovering that Dani was gone, the New Mutants sought the assistance of Magik and she explained to them, what happened with Dani and told Cypher how he can bring the team to her. However, Doug made a spelling mistake, and in-stead of Hel, he teleported the team into a Hell where they met Mephisto. Mephisto offered New Mutants a deal, he would send them out of hell, and even teleport them straight into the Hela's do-main, in exchange for a date with Magma. Amara agreed, and Mephisto teleported the team to Hel where they almost immediately clashed with the Draumar. To frighten and defeat them, Hela showed the Draumar Nate's memories about his life and a world about which they knew nothing. After the Draumar gone, the team returned to Utopia.

Cypher isolated himself after he set out to decode the entirety of the Internet. However, once he started, his powers wouldn't let him stop. He became a hermit living in a filthy shack in New Jersey, starving himself in front of several devices. Daredevil, Misty Knight and Frank McGee sought his help when they started investigating the disappearance of Wolverine's corpse from his grave. Douglas was initially unresponsive, and tried to kill Frank when he cut off his Internet access. He eventually snapped back to his senses and assisted Daredevil's investigation, but he suffered of abstinence.

When the investigation took the team to Saskatchewan, Canada, the team encountered Wolverine's cyborg clone Albert, who slashed Cypher's throat. Despite being left for dead, Cypher barely survived, and McGee healed him using the medical suite in his Inhuman ship. One of the team's leads took them to a facility run by a mysterious corporation named Soteria. Cypher managed to recover some of the information Soteria's operatives started deleting. After finishing the investigation and finding information on Wolverine's whereabouts, Douglas finally admitted his problem, and asked Daredevil for help with his addiction to the Inter-net. Ever since then, his situation stabilized.

Joining Moira MacTaggert's long-term plan to guarantee the future of mutantkind, Charles Xavier and Cypher traveled to Krakoa, allowing the omnilingual mutant to enter in contact with the true entity of the island. Cypher conversed deeply with Krakoa, learning about its language (called "Krakoan") and some of its history. Charles then tasked Cypher with building an interface system on Krakoa to allow the mutants to inhabit the island. Also, Cypher helped creating four different systems, involving transit, monitoring, defense and observation.

Cypher was living on the sovereign Mutant nation state of Krakoa, created by Charles Xavier, Magneto and Moira X, where he was work-ing with Sage in the center of the interface for the Krakoa's gateway system. Cypher created all by him-self an entire system to manage the traffic of the Krakoan network, powered by light and not electricity. Cypher also coded a language that only he and the island of Krakoa could speak. Moira and Charles Xavier then tasked several techno-path mutants such as Cypher, Sage and Trinary, with creating a system called "Sleeping Giant" to monitor for Nimrod technological thresholds being reached and/or the attempted creation of a "Mother Mold", a replicating, adaptive Sen-tinel factory that was self-aware and capable of creating other Sentinels.

Douglas was later seen among the other Quiet Council members at the assembly's initial gathering. Both Cypher and Krakoa represented the interests of the entity itself and the needs of the nation as a whole. The Council established three new core laws of Krakoa, one of which forbids the murder of humans.

HISTORY
Sir James Braddock was a denizen of Otherworld, an other-dimensional realm. Merlyn sent James to Earth to father the champion who would be known as Captain Britain. Arriving in England, Dr. Braddock became one of the Unit-ed Kingdom's leading research scientists. James married to Mrs. Braddock, set up home in Braddock Manor and had a child, Jamie Braddock Jr., whose Otherworld genes were subverted, making the child unfit to be the hero Merlyn expected. Almost a decade later, Sir James and Lady Elizabeth had two more children, the twins Brian and Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock. As a child, Betsy was much closer to her older brother Jamie than to her twin brother Brian, idolizing Jamie for his adventurous lifestyle as a racing driver. When Betsy was sixteen years old, she moved to New York City, pursuing a modelling career. There, her telepathic mutant powers activated, linking her mind to millions of minds, forcing her to not leave her apartment for a month due to the trauma.

When Betsy and Brian were in their early twenties, their parents were killed in an explosion, in Dr. Brad-dock's laboratory, caused by the malfunctioning computer Master-mind. After their parents' deaths, while Brian Braddock pursued post-graduate studies in Physics at Thames University, Betsy worked as a charter pilot. Soon after Brian became the hero Captain Britain, Betsy alerted him that their brother Jamie had been injured while testing his racing car in the grounds of Braddock Manor. The crash was apparently an attack rather than an accident. Betsy flew Brian back to the Manor, but their plane was downed as they neared the crash by the psychic powers of Dr. Synne. Luckily both inside survived the crash. Dr. Synne subsequently mind controlled Betsy into seeing her brothers as hideous monsters, causing her to attack them, but they managed to overpower her.

Betsy was taken to the nearby Morder Research Centre for treatment, unwittingly delivering her into the hands of one of Synne's agents, Dr. Ramsey. When Brian managed to defeat Synne, Ramsey reverted to his true allegiances as an agent of the Nazi Red Skull, taking both Betsy and Jamie as hostages. Both were subsequently freed by Captain Britain and his new ally, Captain America. Betsy had a visionary dream warning her of Brian's peril fighting the mad Lord Hawk, an indication of the development of her mutant psychic abilities.

Betsy quit the charter business and took up modeling. She had international praise as a model, becoming famous all over the world. Some-time later, with her psychic powers growing and after Brian had departed overseas to continue his studies, Betsy made mental contact with a S.T.R.I.K.E. Psi agent (S.T.R.I.K.E. being Special Tactical Response for International Key Emergencies, the U.K.'s equivalent of the U.N.'s S.H.I.E.L.D. agency), and was soon recruited by Agent Matthew, with whom she pursued a brief romance. Betsy subsequently became the lover of fellow psi, Tom Lennox. Maintaining her modelling career as a cover while working for S.T.R.I.K.E., Betsy at-tempted to infiltrate the Hellfire Club, where her father had been Black Bishop of the London Branch's Inner Circle. She was warned off however by Tessa.

Betsy had lost track of her brother for many years while he was ad-venturing in America and in the Otherworld. He returned in time to save her life when she and her fellow S.T.R.I.K.E. Psi's colleagues were targeted for assassination by Slaymaster, who had been hired by the crime lord, Vixen, to cover her takeover of the agency. Betsy, Tom, and the sole other survivor of the Psi Division, Alison Double, sought refuge with Brian in Brad-dock Manor. They had to flee there after a battle between Brian and his allies (the Special Executive) against the hero killing, extra-dimensional, cybiote the Fury.

With the insane mutant reality-warper, Mad Jim Jaspers, taking over the country, Betsy and her friends sought to hide out in London. Tom was killed and Betsy and Alison were captured by government forces. The two women ended up in a concentration camp until Jaspers' reign was brought to an end, partially through the efforts of her brother. Betsy, who had been in mental contact with Tom when he died, met and convalesced under the care of Victoria Bentley, an old friend of Dr. Strange and the Black Knight, at the camp. Victoria not only helped her heal, but taught her to harness the trauma she had felt, using it to develop and strengthen her psi powers.

Betsy eventually returned home to Braddock Manor. Soon after, Brian fought a counterpart of his from another reality, the villainous sadist Kaptain Briton. Briton won the encounter, briefly taking Brian's place while extra-dimensional mercenaries, the Technet, took the wrong man back to Briton's fascist reality. Briton tried to rape Betsy, but she fried his brain with her psychic abilities, killing him. Subsequently, R.C.X., the agency which had replaced S.T.R.I.K.E., came to Braddock Manor seeking Captain Britain's aid to help taking care of the Warpies, children who were genetically altered by Jaspers' attack. One of the agents who made the approach was Betsy's old flame, Matthew (now using the codename Gabriel). When Brian refused to work with them, they were advised by the computer Mastermind to trick him and his girlfriend Meggan into leaving the Braddock Manor. Then Gabriel persuaded Betsy to become the new Captain Britain.

Using Kaptain Briton's costume, Betsy magnified her strength to superhuman levels and could fly when she wore it. The hero Captain UK trained Betsy in crime fighting skills and they became partners for several months. Soon after, opting to go solo as the new Captain, Brian's enemy the Vixen lured her into an ambush, where Slaymaster brutally beat Betsy and blinded her. Brian felt his twin's pain, through her telepathy and the special bond they share. He came to Betsy's rescue, killing Slaymaster, and once again took up the Captain Britain mantle. Betsy was offered new cybernetic eyes by R.C.X., but refused, preferring to rely on her telepathy. Betsy later accepted Gabriel's proposal of marriage and the engaged couple traveled to Switzerland where they hoped Betsy could recuperate in peace.

Betsy was kidnapped from the Alps by Mojo and Spiral and surgically given artificial eyes, restoring her sight. Mojo had mentally controlled Betsy, named her Psylocke, and had her star in a popular new show, the Wildways, using her to capture children around the world to join his junior team show, Brat-pack. After Mojo captured Professor Charles Xavier's New Mutants Wolfsbane and Sunspot, the other New Mutants went to the TV show reality in order to save their teammates. Betsy was then rescued by Warlock and Cypher. She chose to stay at the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, as her powers were mutant in origin.

The purpose of her bionic eyes was revealed shortly after when Mojo, using Psylocke's eyes as a camera, transformed the X-Men into the X-Babies to film their adventures. The New Mutants battled the deaged X-Men until they were broken of their brainwashing and defeated the spineless one. The massacre of the Morlocks occurred shortly thereafter; Betsy was charged with helping the wounded and staying in telepathic contact with the members that were in combat with the Marauders. After the initial conflict, Betsy fought the savage Sabretooth in a brawl throughout the X-Mansion. Impressed by Betsy's courage, the battle-ravaged X-Men offered her a position on the team. Betsy accepted and adopted the code name Psylocke. Next, Betsy battled Malice with the X-Men.

After returning to New York, Storm decided that, in order to safeguard their friends and families from their many enemies, the X-Men must fake their deaths and become an underground proactive strike force. After Havok showed up to check on the X-Men, Storm ordered Betsy to erase the event from his memory, but, due to Professor Xavier's mental defenses, he remembered. Psylocke then suggested Havok to be killed by the X-Men, much to his horror. However, after a brief battle, Havok asked to join the team.

While her brother and Meggan were visiting, the team was later abducted by Horde, to use as his lackeys to retrieve the Crystal of Ultimate Vision, a shard of which he wore on his forehead. The X-Men were sent to the Citadel of Light and Shadow, where the crystal was hidden. As the X-Men progressed through it, the citadel created illusions of each of their most powerful desires. Only Betsy, Storm, and Wolverine were able to resist the illusions. Psylocke, who had been transformed into a metallic warrior as part of her heart's desire of being physically invulnerable, sacrificed herself to slow Horde down. Wolverine, empowered to godhood, rejected the god-like power, and returned the X-Men and their friend’s home.

Tracking Storm, the X-Men arrived at Forge's Eagle Plaza, in Dallas, Texas, where they were attacked by Freedom Force and Psylocke was captured. After the initial battle, a rift opened in the sky of Dallas and a maelstrom of different weather patterns ensued right next to each other and beings and creatures from the past appeared and attacked. The X-Men and Freedom Force formed a temporary alliance with each other to save the citizens of Dallas, until Colossus decided to enter Eagle Plaza and Betsy recognized Roma in his recent memories. After gaining access into the Starlight Citadel, the X-Men battled the Adversary and, after Rogue absorbed his power and opened a portal to seal him in, gave their lives to imprison the Adversary with a spell from Forge. Roma, however, restored the X-Men to life and freed the Adversary under the notion that there could be no order without chaos. The events had been broadcast over a live television news feed and the world believed the heroes to be dead. After being resurrected, the X-Men decided to use the opportunity to go underground and keep their rebirth secret.

The X-Men resurfaced in Australia, occupying the former Reavers' hideout. Roma appeared and presented them with the Siege Perilous, a gem that created a portal which granted any person who walked through it judgment and a new chance at life. A new career, home, and so on awaited the X-Men and the gem had magically made them invisible to any sort of mechanical perception. Psylocke began wearing her cape and armor costume that Wolverine ordered from Landau, Luckman & Lake, in order to prevent herself of being a liability to the team. To pass the time on the Australian base, Elizabeth would pose, sometimes nude, for Colossus.

Later, Betsy accompanied the Carol personality, in Rogue's body, to her old apartment and the two battled Master Mold and Nimrod. Senator Robert Kelly's wife was killed there and Betsy attempted to ease the pain of her passing. While battling, Master Mold absorbed Nimrod and both he and Rogue got lost after going through the Siege Perilous. After Storm was apparently killed, Psylocke became leader of the remaining X-Men, much to Havok's dislike, since he believed Betsy to be an unscrupulous telepath.

The X-men soon fell apart: Longshot left the team in order to find some clue to his true origins and Wolverine took off for Madripoor. The four remaining teammates Dazzler, Colossus, Havok, and Psylocke decided to transport themselves through the Siege Perilous, where Rogue had fallen weeks before, rather than face the threat of the Reavers again, as Psylocke had psychically predicted the X-Men would die if they stayed. To convince Havok to go through the Siege Perilous, she confirmed his suspicions when she telepathically forced him to do as she wished.

Psylocke emerged in Southeast Asia. In one of her more bizarre encounters, crime lord Matsu'o Tsurayaba captured her and switched bodies with his lover, a Japanese assassin known as Kwannon. Betsy was brainwashed into becoming the Lady Mandarin, as a ninja of the Hand, working for the Mandarin. However, she managed to regain her free will when she established a psychic contact with Wolverine. The experience left Betsy and Kwannon permanently switched physically and mentally. Psylocke, Wolverine and Jubilee stayed in Asia until they learned the New Mutants were captured by the Genoshan government, as part of an X-Tinction Agenda. The trio traveled to Genosha and rejoined the X-Men.

After returning to the X-Men, Psylocke became part of Cyclops' team, clashing in their first mission against her former ally Magneto and his Acolytes. Psylocke's abilities proved to be especially useful for the team when they once again fought against Matsu'o Tsurayaba and the Hand. Betsy pretended to be under Matsu'o's influence only to successfully caught him and Omega Red by surprise, ruining their plans.

Betsy was invited by her brother Brian, now part of the British super-hero team, the Excalibur, to attend a party at the Braddock Manor. The party was interrupted when Psylocke psychically felt Brigadier Sandy Stuart being murdered by her brother, Jamie, under orders of Mastrex Opul Lun Sat-Yr-Nin, who spent months planning for this attack masquerading as Brian's ex-girlfriend Courtney Ross. Using his recently discovered mutant powers, Jamie, who was mentally detached from reality, easily subdued Betsy physically. However, she was still able to use her telepathic powers and managed to interact with Brian psychically. As Meggan was immune to Jamie's powers, she could attack Jamie directly, this allowed Psylocke to stab Jamie's brain with her psychic-knife, leaving a brother she used to adore in a catatonic state.

Back to the X-Mansion, Betsy was shown to be attracted to Cyclops. She started to flirt with her leader, using her telepathy to influence his mind on a very low level in an attempt to seduce him. The situation escalated when Betsy later would dress up in a provocative dress, go to the hanger bay where Scott worked on the Blackbird, and kiss him in an attempt to start an affair. However, Cyclops couldn't do it as he loved Jean and couldn't bring himself to betray her. Jean would later question Psylocke about having an affair with Cyclops. Betsy denied the accusation and when Jean asked if she used her power to influence the mind of Scott, Psylocke answered by stabbing her with her psychic-knife. Soon after, Kwannon showed up, fought Psylocke and won, claiming that she was the real Elizabeth Braddock. The X-Men went to Japan to meet Lord Nyoirin, a crime lord who Kwannon claimed to be Psylocke's master. Little did this trip help in answering questions concerning Psylocke's true identity.

Kwannon came back with the X-Men and became a ally of the team calling herself Revanche; not long after, she contracted the Legacy Virus. Revanche had Tsurayaba kill her before the virus could, still in Psylocke's original body. At the time of Kwannon's death, her telepathic powers went to the limit due to the virus infection, revealing the full truth about the body swap; as she died, she managed to absorb all of her memories and her personality traits from Betsy's mind. Betsy lived, but was now forever trapped in Kwannon's body. During the period Betsy went through this identity crisis concerning Kwannon's return and death, she got close to her fellow teammate, Archangel. Eventually, as the two grew closer, recognizing they had much in common as both had experienced radical changes, body and soul, they started a relationship.

Sabretooth, who was being kept captive in the X-Mansion, later attacked and nearly killed Psylocke as she tried to protect Boom Boom from him, who had become more resistant to telepathy. Wolverine, Archangel, Doctor Strange, and Gomurr the Ancient used mystical force from the Crimson Dawn dimension to save her. The mark of the Crimson Dawn, a red tattoo covering her left eye, was imprinted on her face. Her fighting and telepathic skills were seemingly enhanced, and she could now transport through and become one with shadows. However, the Crimson Dawn also changed Psylocke's personality profoundly as she grew more mysterious and distant from Warren and the other X-Men. Kuragari, conqueror of the Crimson Dawn realm, attempted to corrupt Psylocke and make her his queen. Archangel and Psylocke defeated the tyrant and left the X-Mansion permanently, retiring themselves from their activities as X-Men.

After a brief period away from the X-Men, Betsy was tricked by the Shadow King into producing a psi-wave removing all mutant telepathy and allowing him to control every mind on Earth. Although she should have died, Betsy's Crimson Dawn powers saved her once more. In a foolish mistake, the Shadow King expanded his powers too far allowing his personal nexus to be exposed. Betsy defeated Farouk, sacrificing her telepathy to keep him trapped within her astral shadow form. Jean Grey attempted to help Betsy regain her powers safely, but in the process Psylocke gained Jean's vast telekinetic abilities instead.

Soon after, Angel broke up with Betsy after seeing her flirt with Thunderbird and admitting their relationship had hit a dead end. She then joined Storm's X-Treme X-Men squad and left the Xavier Institute in search of Destiny's 13 diaries, texts that foretold the future. In Valencia, Spain, the X-Men were captured by Spain's national police and had their powers and fighting abilities tested. Separated from the team with Beast and Rogue, Vargas suddenly arrived claiming to be the first of the true Homo sapiens superior. The last standing, Betsy dueled Vargas in order to protect Beast and Rogue, but was impaled through the chest by his sword and killed.

Psylocke later appeared out of the blue in the exact spot she died. Running numerous tests, it was proven Betsy was the real deal. Rejoining Storm's X-Men squad, Psylocke was reunited with her friends in a more alien world where Cyclops and Emma Frost ran the Xavier Institute, presumed dead teammates Colossus and Rachel Grey were alive, and Jean Grey had seemingly died.

After her resurrection, Psylocke started to experience visions about her older brother, Jamie. This led her to form a friendship with her fellow teammate, Rachel Grey, since Rachel also experienced such visions. Jamie's machinations proved to be true when the Scarlet Witch rewrote the entire reality – as Rachel tried to protect her and Betsy but failed when Jamie forced them into the new reality. In this new reality, Psylocke and Rachel were influenced by Jamie into finding a reality breach that represented a threat to all existence. Helped by Psylocke and Rachel, Meggan sacrifice herself to restore reality foundations.

Jamie, confirming Betsy's suspicions, claimed he was responsible for her resurrection, needing her assistance against a group known as Foursaken and the menacing First Fallen, a polar opposite of the Phoenix. When resurrected, Betsy became untrackable to telepathy or technology, forged into the weapon Jamie needed to accomplish his plans. The Foursaken and the First Fallen were defeated by Psylocke and Jamie's whereabouts became unknown much to her worrying.

After M-Day, Betsy and a team of X-Men flew to London to help Captain Britain deal with the after-effects of the Decimation. There, they were attacked by a Charles Xavier and his five original X-Men from another reality. During a subsequent battle with these evil X-Men, Betsy was ripped from the time-stream and found herself in the Panoptichron, headquarters of the Exiles. There, she met an alternate version of Sabretooth, a man she hated in her native reality, which led her to attack him as soon as she saw him. This Sabretooth proved to be a hero, and after a brief confrontation, they become partners and grew close to each other. There, she was integral in the group's restructuring after several members left to pursue their own lives elsewhere.

During their time as Exiles, Psylocke and Sabretooth becoming lovers and co-leaders of the team. She also helped the team deal with threats across several worlds, including teammate Gambit's home reality of Earth-6706. During this time, the team was hunted by alternate counterparts of Susan Storm, Wolverine, and one of her deadliest foes, Slaymaster, who she eventually slew on the streets of London to save her brother and stop his cross-reality massacre of her alternate counterparts.

Returning to Earth-616 under unknown circumstances, Betsy was captured by a woman Scott Sum-mers believed to be his presumed deceased ex-wife Madelyne Pryor, calling herself the Red Queen. The Red Queen had Spiral, Lady Deathstrike, and Chimera, members of her Sisterhood of Mutants, bring Betsy's original body from the grave of Kwannon to their hideout. Through a ritual the Red Queen put Betsy back into her original body. Betsy was then brainwashed into assisting the Sisterhood in attacking her fellow X-Men, providing a distraction so that the Red Queen could retrieve a lock of Jean Grey's hair. However, she was able to fight against her "inner dark side" and was restored to her Asian body, leaving her original body a corpse again. She then rejoined the X-Men. Psylocke revealed she had regained her telepathy and traveled back in time along with Beast (to disguise his cat-like features) and his X-Club in order to study the birth of mutantkind and find a way to reverse M-Day.

After the return of Hope Summers, Cyclops ordered the disbanding of X-Force. Wolverine returned to his teammates and declared that X-Force would continue but no one would know. Psylocke initially joined the reformed X-Force. Betsy and Warren rekindled their relationship after joining the team, as she was helping him to control his Death/Archangel persona. Warren also built a new secret bunker in Sedona, Arizona, Cavern-X, which was the base of operations for X-Force, but seconded as an emergency base for the X-Men should they need it. The team's first mission was to stop the resurrection of Apocalypse. The team was attacked by the Final Horsemen of Apocalypse and War fell in-love with Betsy as she psychically manipulated him. When the team got to Apocalypse, they learned he was resurrected as a child and no one was willing to kill him. While X-Force fought among themselves, Fantomex killed Apocalypse.

Apocalypse's death triggered an Ascension Protocol within the Death Seed that Apocalypse had planted in Warren to turn him into Archangel. He began to become, in essence, a new Apocalypse. X-Force became aware of this after Warren tried to kill a reporter, to whom Shadow King had delivered files on the secret team. To prevent his ascension, X-Force traveled to the Age of Apocalypse under the direction of Dark Beast. They sought to claim a Life Seed to destroy the Death Seed within Warren. Teaming up with the X-Men of that universe, they managed to claim a Life Seed and return to their world, but not without unfortunate casualties for the X-Men. However, they had been tricked; Dark Beast had been working for the Ascended Archangel all along. They returned to find Cavern-X overrun by Clan Akkaba, with Archangel at its head. X-Force had procured a Life Seed, which was exactly what Archangel desired and was crucial in his plans for the world. In the ensuing battle Wolverine was gravely injured by Genocide, the son of Apocalypse. Psylocke surrendered herself, hoping to appeal to whatever was left of Warren.

Archangel revealed his plan to Psylocke as they reached Clan Akkaba secret base in the North Pole. Using Genocide and the Doom Fountain, he would scour all life from the world, replacing it with new life grown from the Life Seed. As a test run, a small town in Montana was destroyed and regrown as Tabula Rasa. When X-Force's actions led to the demise of the Final Horseman of Death, Archangel determined to replace him with Psylocke. Gathering a Death Seed from the Dreaming Celestial, he transformed her into his own Death.

The remaining X-Men from the Age of Apocalypse reality arrived to aid X-Force and the Jean Grey of that world managed to unbrainwash Psylocke's Death persona and trap it in her mind. X-Force finally managed to defeat Archangel's servants as they fled from the battlefield. She and Fantomex fought Archangel to the death as Psylocke stabbed Warren with a Celestial Life Seed, supposedly killing him. Betsy mourned for killing the love of her life, although Warren soon reappeared with no memory of who he was. Psylocke attempted to rekindle her relationship with him but gave up when she realized that the person she loved was gone forever.

After these events, she and Fantomex were kidnapped by the Captain Britain Corps. The Corps put Fantomex on trial for killing the child Apocalypse by using Brian's connection to his sister, Psylocke, as evidence. Fantomex was sentenced to death by injection with an anti-reality serum. This made Psylocke furious for using her memories without her consent and she interrupted the trial to save Fantomex from being executed.

X-Force came to rescue Psylocke and Fantomex as they learned that the Otherworld was being invaded by inter-universal forces. Wolverine and his team chose to aid the Captain Britain Corps. During the battle, Fantomex was seriously injured.

In order to save Fantomex from the anti-reality serum, Psylocke and Krokwel made a deal to give up her ability to feel sorrow. They were later ambushed by the Skin-less Man. Fantomex and the Skin-less Man had a complicated history together: Fantomex stole his skin and used it as sentient bullets in the past. The Skinless Man came back for revenge, ripping Fantomex’s skin off. Psylocke was able to intervene by paralyzing the latter's body. They were able to escape and head to assist the Corp and X-Force.

The leader of the inter-dimensional forces was revealed to be a future version of Psylocke's brother Jamie Braddock. Psylocke was forced to kill him in order to prevent this future from happening.

After all that had happened to her, Elizabeth told Wolverine that she was leaving X-Force. She was then kidnapped by the Shadow King who was a member of the new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Shadow King tortured her telepath-ically but she was rescued by Fan-tomex, who gave her his telepathy-blocking mask. This left Fantomex vulnerable and unable to use his powers, since he had been poi-soned by Brotherhood member Mystique. He was just able to send Psylocke away with EVA when he was killed.

EVA took Psylocke to X-Force's headquarters. Their reunion was interrupted by the Brotherhood's leader Daken who revealed that with Fantomex dead, Ultimaton had reverted to his original programming which was to kill mutants. Just before Ultimaton snapped Gateway's neck and self-detonated, Psylocke managed to enter Gateway's mind and use his powers to send X-Force away.

They appeared 30 years in the future where they were greeted by Deathlok. In this world Evan Sabahnur had ascended and become Apocalypse. He was the greatest threat the entire world had known which led Wolverine to create an X-Force composed of several he-roes. Together they managed to kill the new Apocalypse and were celebrated as war heroes and elected to make sure such a thing could never happen again. Led by Psylocke, they had soon killed all the world's criminals and began pro-actively killing people when they made up their mind to commit a crime, but before committing it.

When Wolverine and X-Force from the present were unrepentant of this course of action, Deathlok attempted to kill them in order to prevent the future from happening but failed when he was destroyed by Cable. Before they could be sent back, Psylocke escaped and had resolved to prevent this future by killing the future Psylocke. She realized that this wouldn't save her world and that even if she went back knowing what she did, she would still make the same mistakes. In order to make sure Fantomex's sacrifice meant something and to save the world she stabbed herself through the gut.

She narrowly survived her suicide attempt and attempted to finish herself off permanently but was interrupted by the future Punisher who attempted to save her. Psylocke struggled, trying to end her life but finally failed when she passed out and was saved by Nightcrawler. She was healed of her injuries and spoke to her future self before returning to the present together with the rest of X-Force.

After returning to the present, X-Force headed to Genosha to save Evan from becoming Apocalypse. Upon arrival, Psylocke was able to subdue Mystique by using her telepathy to disguise herself as Sabretooth and put her to sleep. X-Force argued about whether to kill Evan or not should he ever become Apocalypse. They later noticed that Deadpool had disappeared, seemingly thinking about killing Evan. It turned out that he came to save Evan. Deadpool was later captured and tortured by Daken and his new Brotherhood.

Wolverine and Psylocke sneaked into the enemies' underwater base. Wolverine handled most of the enemies while Psylocke turned off Deadpool's pain receptor from being tortured by Omega Black. She was telepathically ambushed by the Shadow King and Psylocke purposely gave herself temporary amnesia to escape the astral plane. She telepathically controlled Omega White to attack the Shadow King. The Shadow King's mind and powers were absorbed inside Omega White's comatose body where it was locked away forever. If it wasn't for Psylocke in her battle against the Shadow King, he could have controlled Evan's mind as he wore the suit of Apocalypse.

X-Force successfully faced off against the Brotherhood, but Night-crawler betrayed them by making a deal with his mother to kill the Blob. Deadpool and Evan wiped out the Omega Clan and the Skinless Man. Evan nearly killed Mystique as Nightcrawler helped his mother to escape.

Lastly, Wolverine and Daken fought to the death, with Wolverine killing his son by drowning him. Evan came to him and explained that there was nothing he could do. Sabretooth revealed that this was all his plan, to destroy Wolverine by making him kill his own son. As the villain gloated, Evan attacked him and began punching him. However, Logan talked him down, saying that revenge led to nothing but misery. The villains and the heroes departed. Psylocke left her sword behind in the wreckage of the base as it sank into Hammer Bay.

Wolverine took his son to Japan and buried him while Psylocke visited her brother in Otherworld. She admitted that he was right about everything he did to Fantomex, but he comforted her, telling her that Fantomex was created with three brains, one of which was a mutant hunting sentinel. The fact that he was able to fight the conflicting voices in his head was a testament to his character, also adding that he still loved his sister. Psylocke asked him to store the Shadow King and the Evan's Apocalypse armor in Otherworld.

Psylocke entered her apartment to find Wolverine waiting for her, telling her that there was one complication left unsolved with X-Force. The two left for the hideout in E.V.A. and Psylocke asked him what the future Logan whispered to him before they left, which Wolverine kept to himself. They arrived at the hideout and found Deadpool there, and Fantomex emerging from a cloning machine. Two more Fantomexes appeared however, one of them evil who teleported away and the other a woman. E.V.A. tells Fantomex that when they found his body, all three of his brains were still intact and she placed him in a cloning hatch to create a new body for him. The machine misunderstood however, and created a new body for each of Fantomex's brains. Deadpool tells him that he missed him, and Fantomex says he missed Deadpool too. Fantomex asked where they're off to now, but after being met by somber looks, he deduced that the team was done. He took Psylocke and his new "sister" to meet his mother and he and Psylocke shared a kiss.

After ending her relationship with Fantomex, Elizabeth returned to the Jean Grey School. Elizabeth was soon dismissed from teaching by Wolverine, due to anger issues, after she had assaulted Quentin Quire during a class. Logan also hinted that she revive X-Force as an outlet for her anger and in order to continue doing what needed to be done, as Wolverine himself could no longer be associated with such things in his capacity as headmaster. He invited her to read her e-mail, where she and Storm, who was also living with anger issues after her divorce to T'Challa, were tasked with a mission.

The email was sent by Wolverine's old friend Puck, and contained a tip about a drug dealer selling TAO, a drug that makes people susceptible to a hive mind mentality.

The two X-Women met Puck at a bar in L.A., and he led them to an old bank from the 1920s that the drug dealer – the diva of downtown LA - used to sell drugs and dance. Storm and Psylocke quickly realized that the dealer was Spiral and instinctively attacked her.

Meanwhile, Storm and Puck head-ed to the bank vault where Spiral hid her things. Ororo and Puck found a scared little girl inside the vault, who mentally ordered the people at the club to attack Betsy. She telepathically influenced a man in the club to help her fight the mind-controlled party-goers. Inside their minds, Betsy found the little girl controlling them. Spiral arrived and teleported the girl away with her. As Puck and Storm chased Spiral, Psylocke went berserk and fried everyone's mind in the club. On the rooftop, Spiral teleported away again and brought the girl with her.

Tracking Spiral and the girl, the three heroes were attacked in Spiral's flat by a returned from the future Bishop.

Bishop kidnapped the girl, Ginny, and ran off. Puck considered their mission accomplished as they had captured Spiral, but Storm wanted to bring the girl back. It was revealed that Mojo removed Spiral's ability to travel between dimensions, so she was trapped on Earth without anywhere to go, until she found Ginny and started to use her psychic powers to make money by selling false drugs (it was actually Ginny's powers that put people in a trance). Betsy stated that she could follow Ginny's psychic avatar and ordered Spiral to teleport them to where she was, in a subway tunnel in L.A.

As Betsy couldn't pick up any psychic signature, including that of her teammates, Bishop was able to surprise and attack them. While they fought, Spiral grabbed the girl and teleported away. Betsy used her psychic knife on Bishop and entered his mind, finding his psyche tangled like a maze and inhabited by the Demon Bear, and realised it was a trap. Psylocke managed to tame the Demon Bear, making an unusual ally of it.

During this time, Psylocke started focusing her powers into different weapons of psychic energy such as a bow and arrow, a crossbow, a grappling line, and a flail. She also mentored a small group of students consisting of Hellion, Anole, Broo, and Rockslide and kept a relationship with a virtual boyfriend created in the Danger Room.

After their respective X-Force teams disbanded, Psylocke sought out Cable and offered her services to his new X-Force team. Psylocke actually sought Cable because she couldn't bear staying away from X-Force as she admitted she was addicted to killing. As a member of X-Force, Psylocke grew more bloodthirsty, self-loathing, and broken by the day, admitting that resorting to killing was the only way she could feel anything at all. She also kept a sexual relationship with Cable.

In the wake of a massive anti-mutant uprising combined with the discovery that the Terrigen Mists spread in the atmosphere were harmful to mutants, Psylocke joined Magneto's X-Men to deal with the threat.

Psylocke later quit Magneto's team after becoming unsure if she truly could trust him due to his increasing number of secrets. He revealed that he and M had been members of the Hellfire Club for a while and tried to get the X-Men to formally ally with them. Before she left she promised Magneto that if he ever crossed the line then she would kill him herself.

After the war between the X-Men and Inhumans ended, Magneto's team of X-Men disbanded and Psylocke learned that Magneto worked alongside Emma Frost and knew about her deceptions that led to the war. Making good on her promise, Psylocke found Magneto and killed him. Psylocke then walked away alone, feeling like the world and the X-Men were better off without her.

When Logan's body disappeared from his final resting place sometime after he had died in battle, Kitty Pryde assembled a group of X-Women (including Psylocke) to confront Magneto in his base of operations in Madripoor, since they determined he was a suspect for the theft of Logan's body. The mutant heroines were ambushed by a local crime ring, Viper's Femme Fatales. The psychic vampire Sapphire Styx absorbed the entirety of Betsy's soul at once, leaving her body dead.

Finding herself inside Sapphire Styx's mind, Betsy fought her way back with assistance from a fragment of Wolverine's soul the villainess had absorbed years earlier. Psylocke destroyed Sapphire Styx from the inside, and used the remaining soul power left behind to recreate her original body, molecule by molecule. Following the defeat of Viper's gang, the X-Men left Madripoor without many clues about the whereabouts of Logan's body.

In the reality created by Nate Grey and a Life Seed, a world where everyone on Earth was a mutant and relationships were strongly discouraged or illegal, Psylocke was a member of Department X, the police force in charge of investigating and arresting dissident mutants. In her role as an officer of the law, Psylocke was asked to speak to 10th year civil manage-ment students at the Summers Institute for Higher Learning about their future internships and responsibilities.

Psylocke, Moneta, and Iceman were first seen attempting to arrest X-Man Bishop for "engaging in a forbidden relationship" with Marvel Girl and his "third breach of the guiding principles." A brief skirmish broke out, but Psylocke and Iceman soon restrained Bishop while Moneta placed probed his memories for psychic evidence. Confirming guilt, Moneta placed a power inhibitor collar on him and deemed him "excommunicated". The group then removed all traces of Bishop's existence.

One day Department X was tasked with capturing recurrent love criminals Luke and Nezumi Sen. Nezumi and Psylocke fought toe to toe and after a brief skirmish in the couple's home, the couple are captured. Nezumi revealed to Blob while being loaded into the police van that she was pregnant, the first pregnancy that the group had encountered in their careers. Flummoxed by her revelation, Blob consulted with his teammates for confirmation of the pregnancy and what to do with their pregnant charge. Psylocke used her psychic powers to second Moneta's visions of the pairs' coupling. The group reacted with a mix of disbelief and disgust. Eventually the group opted to unfreeze Nezumi upon their return to headquarters and decided what to do with her there.

On a following day, Blob led Department X in a controlled burn of a nearby woodland, in order to give the X-Men a catastrophe to man-age. Psylocke used her powers to move all of the endangered woodland creatures en masse to safety. At some point soon after this exercise, Psylocke and Moneta met with X-Men Nate Grey, Marvel Girl, and X-23 to discuss the rise in popularity of revolutionary Murshid En Sabah Nur and his teachings. Psylocke informed the X-Men that there wasn't much Department X could do, but to trust their own instincts on the matter.

Later that night while working alone together, Psylocke confront-ed Blob with her knowledge of his feelings toward her, offering to erase them for him and even implant mild feelings of disgust toward her. Startled by her revelation, Blob dashed out of headquarters and called out of work "with strep" for three days. On day three Psylocke discovered a note from Blob asking for her forgiveness and his desire to keep his memories. That night Psylocke confront-ed Blob at his home over his tardiness and feelings toward her. He confessed his feelings for her, that he would never impose them upon her, and that he clung to say feelings as an anchor to get him through the day. Following her sharing a relevant dream/memory, Psylocke let Blob keep his memories.

The following day at the office Blob and Psylocke continued as if nothing had happened. Detaining an-other criminal mutant, Psylocke wiped the memories concerning his feelings. Moneta soon accused Betsy however of only pretending to wipe the prisoner's memories. Psylocke countered, stating that sometimes the memory erasure took a while to stick. Blob quickly came to Psylocke's defense, chastising Moneta for her accusations and pulling rank to quell her disobedience. After sending Moneta home, Jubilee revealed to Blob the inhumane treatment of their prisoner Nezumi at Moneta's hands and the continuing uncertainty of how to deal with Nezumi's pregnancy. That night, following the stress of the day, Psylocke and Blob shared a relaxing evening together reading and commiserating over their feelings for one another.

Days later, Department X investigated a tip of a dissident teenage party at a ramshackle former library. The team soon discovered a group of teenagers, who Moneta insisted were in fact part of a "dangerous retrograde cult". Although the teenagers initially opted to flee, some members of their group rallied their cohorts to fight Department X, inspired by revolutionary Murshid En Sabah Nur. The trained officers quickly and reluctantly defeated the riled teens. Upon inquiry Moneta revealed that she had set up the encounter to prove the existence of the resistance. Furious at her deception, Blob fired her from the department and ordered her memory wiped.

While cleaning up the mess from the fight, Blob and Psylocke shared an intimate moment. Unbeknownst to the pair, teammate Northstar picked up on the intimacy between the two and was deeply bothered by this revelation.

After a series of events, the Department X team began to regain some of their memories from the mainstream reality. Furious, Jubilee used her powers to burn down Blob's house, after observing him and Psylocke cuddling on a love seat. Standing outside the blaze, Psylocke revealed to Blob that Moneta was right and she hadn't actually taken away the memories from any of their past arrests, merely kept the memories within her mind. With Blob's support, she released the thousands of trapped memories inside her, causing her to faint. When a group of angry victims threatened to attack the duo, Blob scoffed at their audacity and reminded them that he was "*expletive* indestructible". Sometime later Blob was seen sitting across from the burned out and graffiti Department X head-quarters. After Nate Grey returned all of the mutants to their mainstream identities, Blob and Psylocke were seen standing in front of one of the portals back to their home universe.

She turned to the aid of the Justice League of Amer-ica and implored them to stop Rogan's Ani-Men. Some of the League members were reluctant to trust Irena (now calling herself Reena), and felt that she was as culpable in the slaughter of innocent civilians as Rex.

The League fought against Maxi-mus Rex and the Ani-Men, but were soundly defeated.
