Firefly (M&M3E)- OOC

Post by Spectrum »

Y'all got on this boat for different reasons, but y'all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave.
- Captain Malcolm Reynolds

Thanks for all the interest!

Firefly is an awesome setting and I've had a hankering to play in it for a while.

I'm not going to do the usual putting people into competition for a few spots. What I'm looking to instead is a willing to work together and for a great cast of characters that play off of each other. I already have some people in mind so looking for a mix of new and experienced.

My usual warnings that my schedule can really suck sometimes based upon rl concerns. Also, I lean more towards storytelling rather than dice rolling.

Two initial setting ideas:
1. You're already a crew- up to you folks to make sure you cover all the roles. Talk among yourselves! :)
2. Planet based, going on a trip on a train through a plague ravaged village on a line beset by bandits.

In any case, talk about what kind of game you guys want. Be friendly!

Blood, Sweat and Tears is based upon Privateer Press scenario Blood Sweat. It is used without permission.

Cough, to be fair, I am completely unexperienced when it comes to the Serinity rpg, BUT, we have that pdf here at home anyway, so I can spend some time reading through it. Always been a big fan of the series though I've never managed to get my hands on suplementry material, but the series and movie stick with me. I'd love to play in a classic crew, and I already have a character pictured in my head.

A big, rough and tumble woman who's not exactly what folks'd consider pretty. She's one hell of a mechanic however, been in and around ships her whole life. She even served on some captial veseels back in the war. Originally a core worlder, she'd have eventually come to sympathize with the other side, eventually being discharged for 'treasonous intent' when the higher ups got it in their heads she was gonna sabotage the ship. That may or may not have been true.

I didn't realize that there was a difference. It's probably the older one.

I'll verify the publication date when I get home tonight.

Huh...

I have the Serenity RPG. If people are already getting the Firefly game, then I might need to do that instead.

As I said, I have both so it is not a problem. What about everybody else?
