Re: [OOC] The New Mythos : Recruiting! 2 or 3 slots
Interesting the choice to askew most abilities, yet I suppose it works for her. The image didn't seem to work for me this time, but I presume it to be like the one you had prior?
I still find it a bit curious that it's foxlightning rather then foxfire. I'm good with it though.
And yes, I find her status as the true talent to be an amusing one as well.

Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

Perhaps it's just my phone that can't see it, strange. Alright!

Re: [OOC] The New Mythos : Recruiting! 2 or 3 slots
I should probably find a pic of a fox as well.

Re: [OOC] The New Mythos : Recruiting! 2 or 3 slots
So for my upgrades, if acceptable, I'm getting the following:
1 PP - Bringing up the Deflector Shield on the Mantle (Dodge now goes up the PL8 cap after three adventures!)
1 PP - 3 Ranks of Technology to bring it to +10 total
1 PP - 3 Ranks of Vehicles to bring it to +6 total (because being able to actually drive your APC is important)
1 PP - New Power off the Technomagic array: Machine Control! (It's just mind control limited to objects, also something that took three full adventures to buy. Whoops!)
1 PP - 5 Equipment Points
* 1 EP Defense System (Fix it Shop)
* 1 EP Dual Size (Large) (Fix it Shop)
* 1 EP Laboratory (Fix it Shop)
* 1 EP Personnel (Fix it Shop)

Alright, all noted then. If you're dual-sizing your shop, perhaps it may also be good to apply the same to the HBJ. It get's rather cramped with a full crew.

Re: [OOC] The New Mythos : Recruiting! 2 or 3 slots
I'm working on a couple of concepts. The furthest along is a ninja catgirl, heir to the tradition of an anti-monster ninja clan that was pretty much fading out, her great-grandfather trained her but none of her family had been interested in such things since monsters and magic weren't real. Until recent events proved all that history correct!
More vaguely is a multi-armed swordswoman, with either exotic skin color or naga-like or an archaeologist/anthropologist sort who's a pan/demon/red satyr type. Or a snake-tailed naga archer. Hard to align the visual aspect with the motivation and background when it involves being really good with archaic weapons.

Re: [OOC] The New Mythos : Recruiting! 2 or 3 slots
Phillip Dremmin, Paramedic/Street Medic/Vampire/Information Broker

He typically still wears a paramedic uniform
Phillip didn’t believe in Vampires. He really didn’t. Sure, the world seemed to have Goblins and Elves and Orcs and sh!^, but Vampires?! He'd seen the Youtubes and the Tiktoks about mages but his disbelief drew the line in the sand at vampires. That is, until the night he was called in the 5150 a crazy homeless guy loitering in front of the blood donation office scaring all the others who needed to get their spending money before the liquor stores closed. The homeless guy was yelling and screaming but came quietly when the med wagon came to pick him up. He was quiet up until he was alone with Phillip in the back. Vampires suck!
Phillip woke up in the morgue several days later, and man, those tables are cold!
Despite evidence to the contrary, Vampires aren’t all about the sucking of blood (which is good because he actually gets a little queasy thinking about it). They aren’t all dark and broody either. Black tends to slim Phillip down so much he looks like a refugee, and leather chafes. They aren’t sparkly and happy and unicorn rainbows either. Ever. Period. You can stop snickering about it any time now. Also, Sunlight hurts like a b!tc#!
Oh, and you're dead. It turns out dead people loose their EMT license and get fired from their crappy triple-shift, no-health-insurance jobs. Guess it's not all bad. Phillip was still an excellent Medic and started operating where ever he could in exchange for a place to be in the day and the occasional pay off to the janitor at a butcher's shop.
If his bowels still worked he would have soiled himself the day the rat spoke to him. It didn't end there. Rats are everywhere and Phillip can feel them, call to them, command them, see through their eyes, and understand when they tell him what they've seen. Through them he found a new appreciation for the streets and through their whispers gained knowledge and a modicum of respect enough to come from out of the shadows. Discovering this new ability inspired him to throw himself into finding out what he was capable of. He learned all he could, trading secrets or skills when needed. He paid a New Orleans vampire dearly for the training in Fleshcrafting (Vicissitude) but it was worth it as one of his passions was still mending flesh and knitting bone. It's not permanent but it prolongs a life until more medical attention can be sought.
Sure, he's not the greatest fighter in the world but his undead physiology keeps him going for quite a bit. And he's got a bevy of tricks so as not to be completely worthless. He's even contracted with a mage who provides Phillip with a cream that lets him subsist in the sunlight.
He understands some vampires don’t like humans or want vengeance or see them just as Happy Meals on legs but Phillip genuinely cares for the innocents that get caught in the crossfire or subject to unspeakable horrors.
Too bad being undead didn’t give him the confidence to not feel awkward around women. Guess you can’t win them all.
Complications:
Soft Hearted - Phillip generally likes people. He'll do what he can to help, heal, and safe guard them.
Information brokerage is a double-edged sword - though he doesn't try to screw people over he's surely made enemies. Maybe even people who fear what he might know will want to shut him up. Or maybe customers will demand information he doesn't have or won't part with. "Snitches get staked" may not rhyme but that doesn't matter to a pile of dust.
Undead - Phillip doesn't know if holy ground or holy water is an anathema to him. He's been around crosses but never has a 'holy person' present one to him in a 'turning' attempt. He knows vampires turn to dust when staked. He knows direct sunlight hurts. He knows he needs blood at least occasionally to stay... cogent but has never gone long enough to see what fully happens. And he knows there are organizations out there dedicated to the eradication of his kind and won't really stop to ask questions.
Cream - Phillips exists in sunlight thanks to a magic cream. This makes the lady mage who supplies it very important to him. This also might have it's own complications if an unexpected midday dip washes the cream off.

Now that's an excellent vampire, I approve. I'm gonna see what MrDent and Wheeljack over there have in store for me, but I've go the basis for our next venture planned out.
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

I couldn't get my original siren idea to work to my satisfaction. The new idea is a spirit walker type. The core of the concept is that he kept up the family trade of being a con artist "channeling the dead" until the virus spread. Afterwards some long time latent genes kicked in allowing him to see the dead, talk to them, and be more open to channeling them for various physical powers. The downside to all this is when channeling he isn't fully in control and sometimes can get taken over.

Fake it to you make it indeed.
It sounds rather a bit like Jenny, Pahfinder's character whom was also a medium. However, she's currently absent from the group so perhaps he could slot in.

It's close, but I wasn't going to go the sorcery route. It was more his soul leaves his body and some other spirit takes over to do something physical in nature. For move object or other type powers it would be him convincing a spirit to help.

Re: [OOC] The New Mythos : Recruiting! 2 or 3 slots
Jenny is mostly a medium at heart- the sorcery was there, but most of her teaching was from helpful spirits (and one somewhat less helpful with his own ulterior motives). It is entirely possible that Both Jenny and the possible new spirit-channeler have some spirit allies in common, and that might help to bring the new guy in (or our shared spirit guide Echo might work).
Between a possible new spirit channeler and the vampire/street information broker, it looks like most of Jenny's main focus areas are covered, so I feel less like I'm letting the team down by being absent.
If Jenny come back, she might have to lean more heavily into sorcery- since we might be picking up an illusion specialist, maybe Fire sorcery...
