Ripclaw is a Native American descended from the ancient Iriqouis Nation of North Eastern North America named Robert Berresford. Despite his ethnic heritage, Robert grew up with very pale skin and in his adolescence began to see signs of a mutation in his hands. It was during a martial arts class when, sparring with another student the issue came to a head and provoked him to confront his father about his unusual traits. He left home, seeking answers, and ended up on an Apache reservation. Initially he fell into trouble and was even hurt seriously when stumbling into a fight. The local Shaman took him in and taught him about his ancestors. What followed was a ceremony where Robert experienced a joining and conversing with the spirits of his ancestors and the spirits of the land, who told him that he was Robert Bearclaw, and not Robert Berresford.

These same spirits foretold his destiny to be that he was to be their warrior and that he was to lead the Indian People back to their true spirit and glory. When he finished the ceremony, which included tribal flesh hooks and war paint, the shaman marked him with his blood, marking his skin, reminding him always of the pain and truth of his spiritual destiny. He was raised primarily by the shaman after that, but also spent time with the Cheyenne, Navajo and Lakota Sioux tribes who taught him how to use his special talents.

Robert developed an ability to assume certain animalistic attributes, such as the teeth and claws of a bear. This physical transformation defies any kind of scientific analysis, but seems to involve some sort of manipulation of unstable molecules. Ripclaw is also able to enter the plane of the spirit world. This communion with his ancestors seems to involve some sort of heightened sensitivity which allows him to sense things just beyond the physical boundaries of conventional defined reality, as well as psychic impressions from inanimate objects. Although at this point his story becomes clouded, his next chapter lead him to Cyberdata as a S.H.O.C. After being brought into a local sheriff’s office for attacking a man who had raped an Indian girl on the reservation, Robert’s mutations were noticed and he was brought to the Attention of Cyberdata. They removed his hands and replaced them with cybernetic replacements. This had to be done under heavy anesthesia, as Robert possesses a superhuman healing factor. The bionic replacements Ripclaw received from Cyberdata became so much a part of him that they too could assume the appearance of claws just like his real hands had done.

Ripclaw has exhibited the ability to manipulate his claws into normal human shape, and then back into claws. Robert was romantically linked with Misery. with whom he fathered a child, though the child died in the womb when Warblade killed Misery. Following her betrayal of their Cyberdata S.H.O.C.s team, he joined Cyberforce after Dr. Corben removed his brainbox. Beyond Cyberforce, Ripclaw has been associated with The Darkness as he was affianced to Jackie Estacado's former love interest, Jenny Romano. and he trained Jackie's sister Capris Castiglione. He has also teamed up with forces such as Warblade, Wild C.A.T.S., the Justice League of America, as well as Wolverine and Psylocke of the X-Men.

Powers and Abilities

Metamorphosis: Ripclaw is a cybernetically-enhanced Native-American metamorph who has the ability to assume certain animalistic attributes, most notably the teeth and claws of a bear. This physical transformation defies any kind of scientific analysis, but seems to involve some sort of manipulation of unstable molecules. One of the most amazing aspects of this unique ability has been the miraculous discovery that was made after the tragic loss of both hands. The bionic replacements Ripclaw received from Cyberdata became so much a part of him that they too could assume the appearance of claws just like his real hands had done.
Astral Projection: Ripclaw is also able to enter another plane of existence -- one that he interprets as being a world in which spirits dwell. It is not known how he is able to accomplish this, but it seems to involve some sort of heightened sensitivity which allows him to sense things just beyond the physical boundaries that define what we know as reality.
Psychometry: He can get psychic impressions from what he considers to be the spirits. This psychometric like ability allows him to gain impressions from things, such as an Aztec ceremonial axe that had been used as a murder weapon.

Carin Taylor was the younger sister of Cassandra Lane (the woman who would later become known as Ballistic). As a child, she loved to play baseball and run around with her sister and father. But her father eventually left her mother, and Carin was often beaten by her alcoholic stepfather.
One night when their stepfather was beating their mother, Carin ran from the house at superhuman speed to the nearest police car for help -- the first manifestation of her super-powers. She then raced back to the house only to find that her sister Cassandra had inadvertently killed their stepfather by throwing a comb through his heart. Carin was sent to an orphanage.

Cyberdata

Many years later Carin was chosen by Mother-May-I to be a S.H.O.C. (Special Hazardous Operation Cyborg) for Cyberdata, an evil organization founded by Emil Zadrok. Carin was brainwashed and trained in combat and use of her superpower. At about age 16 she managed to escape from Cyberdata , only to be hunted down by S.H.O.C.'s under the command of her sister, now known as Ballistic. She escaped with help from Cyberforce.

Velocity and Ripclaw headed to Antarctica without the others, because Cyblade and Stryker were too ill. Why Antarctica? Because it all started there, over hundred years ago, as Emil Zadrok explored the Antarctic. What Emil found was an extraterrestrial living machine, which was waiting for a master. His mind was corrupted by the incredible power and he founded Cyberdata.

Betrayed and attacked by the ship's crew, which brought them to Antarctica, Velocity and Ripclaw found themselves in a life-or-death struggle. The two heroes killed them all, but Ripclaw died from his wounds and the Doomsday virus. Now alone, Velocity stayed in the cavern besides the living machine which invaded her dreams. While there she learned that she, Cyberforce and other mutants are only "copies" (or clones) from aliens, which crashed million years ago with their spaceship on Earth. She found "herself" and others in protecting shells. The machine cured her and then she left Antarctica. This is how she lost her facial tattoo.

After her departure the living machine resurrected Ripclaw but made a mistake. The man known called Ripclaw was no more... Now only a monster remained. After that, the "real" Ripclaw (newly "made" by the living machine) appeared and rescued Velocity, Ballistic and Cyblade by killing the monster definitively. After that they decided to stay together as a team. With Impact and the resurrected Heatwave they fought against an extraterrestrial invasion. Impact died saving Cyberforce and the Earth. Now, they have their base of operations under Mikquit Island which is located somewhere off the east coast of the United States.

Powers and Abilities

Cybernetic Enhancement
Superhuman Speed: Carin can run at speeds in excess of 3300 miles per hour, but has yet to max out her speed for any reason. She has proven that she can sustain Mach 1 (700 miles an hour) when she destroyed a warship from within while saving Cyberforce from an updated killer robot unleashed by Cyberdata. Cyberdata cybernetically implanted layers of Kevlar under her skin to avoid friction burns. Her speed also grants her super fast reflexes.
The Brain Box also enhances her reaction time and ability to process sensory input, so she will be able to control herself and understand what she sees and hears when moving at high speed. Although an exact upper speed limit isn't known, she is capable of exceeding the speed of sound at ground level.

Impact, the super sized strong man of Cyber-Force was born Boomer O’Shea. Boomer grew up in Malibu, CA, with his father who was a respected scientist. He was just a normal kid who loved to surf, but he grew increasingly worried about his father who was completely obsessed with the experiment he was working on. Boomer had no idea that his father's experiment would drastically alter him forever.
His father had been in contact with an interstellar being called, Korvus. Korvus’ spirit was desperately in search of a vessel large enough to contain his enormous amounts of energies without destroying the body. Korvus provided Boomer’s father with technological achievements, centuries more advanced than his own. Korvus wanted Boomer’s father to create a growth serum so he could take control of someone’s body. Korvus was rapidly becoming impatient that the serum was taking so long and threatened his life. As such, Boomer's father became worried about his own life & therefore decided to use the serum on Boomer.
When the lights went out in the house, Boomer stumbled into his father’s basement. There his father attacked him, injecting the growth serum into his neck. Instantly the serum began to take effect on Boomer. It caused his body to grow in both height and size. As soon as Boomer’s body was large enough Korvus seized control of his body. Realizing what he had done, Boomer's father attempted to amend his mistakes by attacking the creature. However, he was thrown across his lab and smashed down into some chemicals, causing a gigantic explosion. Korvus, fled in pain from his damaged vessel, leaving Boomer in charge of his own body once again. The horror of seeing his father dead combined with the pain from his own horribly burned and disfigured body, Boomer passed out.

Boomer later woke in a burns center, where he was informed that his entire body has third degree burns and severe nerve damage. A man from a company called Cyberdata assured him that he would not only get medical attention, but guaranteed him a full recovery. All Boomer had to do was agree to work for the company. Boomer agreed and soon his entire body was grafted with a nearly indestructible metal alloy. He had a computer implanted in his brain to ensure that he would remain loyal to the company. He took on the name: Impact!

He became part of Cyberdata’s cybernetically enhanced strike team, The S.H.O.C.K.s. Impact was later approached by Dr. Corben, one of Cyberdata’s chief scientists, and was told the truth about the organization. Dr. Corben removed Impact’s brain box and provided him with a disc containing all the information needed to escape. Impact realized that he enjoyed thinking for himself and escaped Cyberdata. He was joined by four other former S.H.O.C.K.S. member who Dr. Corben had helped escape; Heatwave, Ripclaw, Cyblade, and Stryker.Boomer O'Shea was the muscle of Cyber Force. He died during one of Cyber Force's adventures.

SPOILER!!! His death reminded his teammates that they must continue their heroism.

After his time as a Navy Seal Dylan was brought into Cyberdata and they implanted one of their brainboxes to control him. Doctor Corben started to notice his aggression increasing. This led him to finding the device. Corben removed them from Stryker, Cyblade, and Dylan first and they became the original Cyberforce. Later new members joined and Dylan became the team leader.

Cyberforce

One of the earliest missions of Cyberforce was to rescue a mutant girl dubbed Velocity from the clutches of Cyberdata. Heatwave saved her multiple times and a love/hate relationship between him and enemy Killjoy was developed. Eventually Velocity escaped and joined the team.

After saving Velocity the team was a little disheveled. Their original base had been destroyed and they had to train Velocity and try and get her sister Ballistic to join them. One day while Velocity was training Ripclaw interfered and Heatwave had to take him down, showing one of the earliest signs of leadership. A relationship with Cyblade was also starting to develop.

Cyberforce's next mission brought them in the path of the WildC.A.T.s and it involved the heroes Warblade and Ripclaw and the S.H.O.C. agent Misery. Cyberforce was brainwashed by Misery into attacking the other team. Heatwave fought with WildC.A.T. leader Spartan and managed to nearly defeat him before he regained control in time to stop Velocity from killing Zealot. The teams left on good terms.

During the events of the Devil's Reign company crossover between Top Cow and Marvel, Heatwave was seduced into becoming Mephisto's lieutenant. As his downward spiral progressed, he came into conflict with his fellow members of CyberForce. They were finally able to break through to him, and he sacrificed his life to stop Mephisto's designs. The members of CyberForce held a memorial, honoring him as a friend and a hero.

Major Morgan Stryker is a mutant soldier whose world was viciously torn apart after a dangerous military operation went wrong leaving him crippled and left for dead on the battlefield. Transformed by the evil Cyberdata Corporation, and aided by an experimental cybernetics procedure, Stryker was gifted with 3 fully functional cybernetic arms (replacing the 3 arms he lost in war) capable of lifting 10 tons each in addition to being individually upgradable for different operations. His right eye and ear, damaged beyond hope of saving, were replaced, giving him the ability to monitor ultrasonic frequencies as well as see into the infrared and microwave spectrum.

After an op for Cyberdata where his head was damaged a surgeon removed the brainbox that Cyberdata used to control their cyborgs. Stryker and the scientist, realizing that the majority of the cyborgs must be under the thrall of Cyberdata due to these boxes removed several from other S.H.O.C.'s and Cyberforce was born.

Powers

Styrker is a mutant who was born with two extra arms both located on his right side (thus having three right arms). They were shredded during a mission gone bad along with the right side of his face. Cyberdata replaced the arms, his right eye, right ear and face with bionic implants. Stryker;s bionic limbs possess super strength and his bionic eye gives him super sight. He is also and expert marksman and is proficient with the use of various firearms

Characteristics

Eyes: Blue (normal), red (cybernetic)

Hair: Blond

Height: 6' 4''

Before joining Strykeforce, Bloodbow was rumored to be a government sniper and assassin but there are no official records.
When Bloodbow heard about Stryker's mercenary team, he sought Stryker out. Stryker was impressed with his marksmanship and he was welcomed into Codename: Strykeforce.
Seen by his allies and enemies alike as cocky and arrogant, he has proven to be a brave and trusted warrior that will lay down his life to protect his friends and allies. Trace was romantically involved with his teammate Lane Quintana, also known as Tempest. During the events on SkyWatch, Bloodbow was killed by an alien race of shapeshifters known as the Shu'roch. They mimic the appearance and abilities of their targets by incapacitating, cocooning, and sampling their DNA by means of a prehensile tongue. Sh'rrrnn, the exiled heir to their thrown took Trace's place as an act of honoring the fallen hero, insinuating herself into the Strykeforce team unknown to the rest of it's members, only Killrazor suspected something was wrong. She revealed herself during the events of Opposing Forces to save her teammates from the hostile members of her race and their Queen.

POWERS

Bloodbow possessed excellent marksmanship skills which has been improved with cybernetic enhancements. These cybernetics also gave him limited super strength in his arms as well as perfect accuracy up to 4200ft when using his composite bow or any other projectile weapon.

WEAPONS

The compound bow is an ultra-flexible titanium/plastic polymer bow with a 3700lbs pull.
The arrows used range from concussion arrows (equal to 1000 tons of TNT), mega-taser stun arrows and high-intensity plasma flash arrows.

Much of Killrazor's past is unknown. He was recruited into Strykeforce by Black Anvil (sent by Stryker) while he was being attacked by his former order. Killrazor does not speak but he does have the ability to do so, something never revealed until he was possessed during the Devil's Reign incident.

Powers and Abilities

Killrazor has the unique ability to extend blades of various shapes and sizes from his entire body at will. However Killrazor does not completely heal from this as the exit wounds become scars.

Killrazor is a highly skilled martial artist and assassin.

Gauntlets worn by Killrazor allow for blades to protrude on his wrists and hands without being damaged but if he produces blades elsewhere his costume is torn.

Black Anvil is a short, nearly invulnerable thrillseeker. His body is nearly indestructible and he once sky-dived out of an aricraft.. WITHOUT a chute! He landed in his parents' backyard when they were having a party. He busted off, went inside and slipped into a tux and then rejoined the party.
In combat he was known to strap multiple weapons (mostly heavy) to himself and wade into battle with his ever-present cigar in his mouth.

Due to a case of insomnia, I was sitting on my couch with too much time on my hands... SO...

I have posted CYBERFORCE and CODENAME: STRYKEFORCE

These were two of my favorite books back in the days of big guns, skin-tight armor and very revealing female costumes (AKA: Fan-service)

I have only posted the 'good guys' so far... I need to work on the villains now... but until then... Enjoy.

Mother-May-I is a powerful mutant telepath, that can use Mind Control/Hypnotism to make people do her bidding. Though she’s actually blind, she possess a third red eye in the middle of her forehead that gives her the ability to see the “other’s souls”. She sees through the eyes of people around her. Seeing what people thought contributed to her already paranoid personality, and finally pushed her in a permanent state of delusion. She sees herself as the mother of all the rejected mutants of he city’s gutters. She uses her hypnotic powers to convince people that she’s, indeed, their mother.

She began her “public” life when she emerged as the leader of a mutant street gang which grew to become one of the most powerful petty criminal organization in NYC. The Mutant Queen of Crime began attracting the attention of the CEO of the newly formed Cyberdata’s Special Weapons Division.

As he was in charge of recruiting potentially powerful mutant to qualify to become part of the SHOCs (Special Hazardous Operations Cyborgs) the very elite of Cyberdata’s mercenary, he made a partnership with Mother May I. She provided the mutants, and he provided the resource to achieve her private agenda. What she wanted was the total control of New York City as a haven state for mutants. When she launched the final stage of her plan, an all out riot fueled by her charismatic abilities, during a blackout she provoked, and after broadcasting a TV ultimatum, Cyberforce kicked in to bust her. In the confusion of the ensuing fight, Kimata shoot her to her death in the back.

She’s a very beautiful woman even though her skin is deep blue and she has three eyes. Two of them are vitreous and blind, while the third is shining red. Her dark hair are combed in an Egyptian Queen way. She dress in a skimpy, sexy, expensive outfit.

AGH, so many builds in one day! So much reading to catch up on!

Cyberforce is, of course, known for being a HUGE knock-off of the X-Men, right down to copying specific characteristics in many cases. Ripclaw is one of the most prominent Wolverine Wannabes of the era (right down to the "peaceful base persona" thing- Logan was also hanging out with the Native American Silver Fox during this time), Heatwave is a "Boring Leader Guy" the way Cyclops was, Impact is a clear Colossus rip, and Cyblade is almost a self-conscious Psylocke Clone. Stryker's "three arms on one side" thing is one of the most ludicrous appearances ever given a superhero.

Very true...

Cyberforce and also WildC.A.T.S. were both clones of Marvel titles. Lets not forget the cloning of teams that Leifeld conjured up.

I enjoyed the titles, as they were very classically Iron Age and I was a big Cyberpunk fan (Cyberpunk 2020 RPG). I tried Spawn, but it was just not my style. I collected numerous titles, including Withcblade (started at issue #1) but I also collected Green Lantern (Starting with the reign of Kyle Rayner).

As far as Stryker goes...... Yeah.. I was always puzzled by a man having 3 arms on one side of his body, but in the comics, it was revealed that he was born that way.

Ahh.. the age of huge guns, skin-tight chromed body armor and inhuman body proportioning.

Read a couple more bios:

Velocity remains a GREAT name for a speedster. Most Image-era characters have awful '90s names, including several members of this team, but "Velocity" is awesome. She was a tolerable "Innocent Teen Character", and though the issue was pretty much piffle, the shot in Cyberforce #1 of her running from the bad guys always stuck with me.

Impact's name was SO AWESOME, and I was so in love with Team Powerhouse guys, that I swiped it entirely for a character in my "Kid Klan/Young Guns" team. I later switched it to "High Impact", but eventually went back. It's just a sweet name for a powerhouse. He had a pretty cool design, though I'll admit that "take a big guy and put horizontal lines on him" is a pretty cheap way at making a powerhouse, never mind how similar that is to Colossus.

Ripclaw might be the MOST-famous superheroic Wolverine knock-off, now that I think about it. As a kid, I always found his claws kinda weird. Because... I don't think you could really cut people effectively with fingers that long. Never mind that he just steals the designs from Lady Deathstrike.

Honestly, this whole team just reads like Silvestri was trying to recapture what he & Claremont did with the late '80s X-Men, piling on Killer Cyborgs (this was the "Australia/Reavers" era).
