-Alistair Smythe is a little-used character in the Spidey mythos, except for the '90s cartoon, in which he was THE Mad Scientist. An assistant to The Kingpin, he was the go-to guy for Spider-Slayers, cyborgs, super-powers, etc., and a huge part of the cartoon. It got a bit tiresome since his character was so bland (he was basically a wimp in a wheelchair that treated The Kingpin like a new father figure and hated Spider-Man for his father's death), and they eventually gave him the same "Ultimate Spider-Slayer" upgrade the comics gave him, and he kinda vanished. I'm just not a big fan of the guy, really. He's so bland and uninteresting I can't even get all worked up by talking about him.

-Smythe is the son of Spencer Smythe, a one-shot 1960s villain who built the Spider-Slayers at J. Jonah Jameson's behest in order to kill Spidey. When Spencer died as a result of radiation exposure from his work, the concept vanished until 1985, at which point it turned out that he had an unrevealed son, who began fighting Spidey, but frequently failing. He soon encased himself in a bio-organic carapace that... looked pretty stupid. Seriously, a big shirtless guy with really bad eczema on his shoulders? The hell is THAT about? His appearances were few and far between (even while the cartoon version was EVERYWHERE), usually involving building a new Spider-Slayer. Eventually, he got out of the suit, and regained his ability to walk cybernetically.

-Holding a grudge against Jameson for putting his dad in the situation that killed him, Alistair started hunting JJ and threatening his family- JJ assaulted him for it, but a vengeful Smythe soon killed his wife Marla (who jumped in front of a spike meant for her husband). This naturally fails to help JJ's classically-angry mood, and Jameson tries to have him first executed, and then begs The Superior Spider-Man to simply murder Smythe (this was later used by Ock-Spidey to blackmail JJ). In a great bit of storytelling, when a violent Smythe nearly killed everyone on The Raft, his dying body tried to inhabit Spider-Man's body... only to discover at the VERY LAST SECOND that Dr. Octopus had ALREADY DONE THIS, and Smythe dies on the vine. This last bit is oddly the biggest push Smythe has ever gotten (even the cartoon just used him as a Background Tech Guy)- a solid showcase that Spidey's Rogues Gallery is so deep that you can bring almost anybody out of the mothballs and make something of them.

-Alistair's a brilliant scientist, and a PL 8.5 fighter, not enough to REALLY pummel Spider-Man, but enough to be annoying. Naturally, as a Tech Guy and Inventor, he can have just about ANY kind of power, or Cybernetic Whatever. At one point, he was a big Cybernetic Scorpion.

-This is pretty much a build of the varied Spider-Slayers, at least the arachnid-shaped ones (which are the coolest). Others look like big goofy '60s robots (being invented, of course, in the '60s by Steve Ditko), armoured '90s bad-asses, or whatever else the creative teams come up with. It's a pretty good PL 10 Robotic Minion, doing robot stuff and generally being annoying. But really, Kill-O-Bots are like the most boring things EVER to build- they're basically big mindless things with near-identical stats and a small handful of weapons. I think the only ones I ever enjoyed building were the Sentinels.

Total: Abilities: 44 / Skills: 52--26 / Advantages: 7 / Powers: 93 / Defenses: 16 (186)

Doc Ock- Spidey's #1 or #2 Bad Guy:
-You just have to respect Doc Ock. There's something so beautiful about his whole concept- he's a completely stereotypical '60s villain in many respects, especially for the Stan Lee concepts: A brilliant scientist turned evil by an accident, given a relatively simple power set and a penchant for monologues & bragging. He's a big-talking, super-greedy, power-hungry monster who's more powerful than the hero he opposes by a considerable ways (every Spidey/Ock fight I've ever seen has been an uphill battle the entire time, with Spidey BARELY winning), yet there's always the underlying sadness that beneath the madman's surface was a once-good man. Not only that, but he's a perfect "Mirror Image" of sorts to Peter- a nerdy, shy boy who turned to science as a means to cope. Dr. Octopus is an epic Spidey villain, and was EASILY the most dangerous and notable of the entire Rogues Gallery until a certain someone used his final appearance to toss a pretty blonde off a high bridge. Ock was virtually an untouchable villain for years, as well- despite various REALLY goofy storylines that would derail any lesser character.

Otto the Teflon Villain:
-Seriously, Otto has done some DUMB stuff. There was an entire story arc where he nearly married AUNT MAY, and it was all to gain control of a NUCLEAR FACILITY she'd somehow inherited. Silly, silly story. I mean, Ock was old, but May looked thirty years older than HE did. He also grew arachnophobic for a while after Spidey delivered one of those savage beatdowns that only a pissed-off Spider-Man can dish out (Ock had recently beaten The Black Cat very badly). And there was a big arc where he was in a gang war with HAMMERHEAD of all people. And there was also the time he was CASUALLY MURDERED by they Spidey Clone Kaine (via having his neck snapped when he wasn't paying attention), replaced by a '90s looking woman, then resurrected almost with an afterthought by The Hand (which is totally their thing)- all to make a new villain seem cooler. All THAT and he was still a vital, dangerous villain, despite being noticeably overweight for his entire career (in a business where even the SCIENTISTS usually have bulging biceps and six-pack abs). Much like Spidey, THAT is the true sign of an elite character.

Ock's Credibility:
-Ock's grandest moments of villainy include: Throwing the debris that killed Captain George Stacy (unintentional, but still). Giving Spider-Man his first REAL beating, nearly sending the rookie hero into permanent retirement before a pep-talk by The Human Torch. Leading The Sinister Six, a disparate group of psychos and greedy bastards, on numerous occasions. Trapping Spider-Man underneath hundreds of tons of rubble beneath a subway station, requiring him going into Aunt May Mode in order to break free. Beating the Incredible Hulk nearly to death with his new Adamantium Arms, then holding off about fifteen superheroes at once with them. Oh, and the time he took over Peter Parker's body and became the new Spider-Man for YEARS. How's THAT for being someone's Top Villain?

-Personally, I was a big fan of the Erik Larsen-era "Doc in a suit" look, since it gave him an air of style and credibility despite the sunglasses and bowl-haircut. It certainly looked better than the lime-green and yellow tights. Or the "I'm a scrawny dying bald guy with a lame over-harness" redesign they gave him. The second Spider-Man movie had the best version of all, looking relatively unfashionable, but having those SWEET super-dark metal arms. Though, as Spidey once noted, "There's nothing quite as scary as the sight of an overweight middle-aged man in TIGHTS!"

-Octopus eventually made his true return, after the Superior arc- downloading himself first into the Living Brain, then another robot, and then cloning and "perfecting" his original body, in a long stretch towards Back-To-Basics Syndrome.

Ock's Stats:
-For stats, Doc Ock is pretty close to a starter P.C. for a PL 12 character, and is actually overall the most powerful Spider-Man villain, saving perhaps Carnage. I was going with PL 11, but then I remembered that Dr. Octopus has kicked Spider-Man's ass six ways from Sunday nearly [every time they fought[/i], with Spidey only winning by going into "You hurt the one I love!" mode or cheating. He's positively LETHAL, with a highly-accurate Arm Strike that hits with +11 force (more than enough for the +7 Toughness Spider-Man to feel it- every time Spidey got nailed with one he was dazed for the rest of the fight), and that's not all- he can make it Penetrating, Multiattacked, or fill an Area (Line or Burst)! In addition, the arms have extreme range, Speed enough to keep up with the Wall-Crawler, huge bonuses to Defense (it's virtually IMPOSSIBLE for Spidey to get a good shot in- the arms are always getting in the way, and blocking his punches). There's also a gigantic swack of Combat Advantages he gains simply by donning the Harness- Defensive Roll 4 (Spidey's punches rarely KO this normal man), various Cap-modifiers (All-Out & Power Attack being common), Improved Trip & Smash, Prone Fighting, Improved Initiative 3, and all the grappling bonuses, making him a nightmare THAT way, too. All of this stuff is trapped within the Device, giving Doc Ock a 22-point discount as well (though it's rather unfair, since he's pretty much NEVER without the Arms).

-This version of Doctor Octopus is strong enough to go up against Spider-Man easily, but also enough to give fits to whole groups of guys (with his Adamantium Arms- the '90s power-set- he took on Spidey, the FF, Ghost Rider, Hulk, Nova & others AT ONCE), and he's generally a notch more dangerous than most Marvel heroes. His major Flaw is that he's completely useless without his Device, but even then he can control it from afar (a 2-point variant of Remote Control, though he can push it with Extra Effort), it only works for him, and he can do multiple things at a time with it (two arms can do some stuff while in mid-fight, for example).

-Note that there's two schools of thought for Doc Ock- the Device or the Sidekick. Either can be valid, but I vastly prefer this one for a multitude of reasons. You don't have to Interpose all the time (you can only do that ONCE per round anyways, and Ock ALWAYS did it, even against multiple opponents), and his combat abilities mesh out more nicely. The suit could really only act with Ock's specific control, so it was hardly a Minion in its own right. Plus, Sidekicks are not allowed to spend more points than the main character, and this thing has a LOT of powers. Therefore, the thing is a classic Removable Device.

This is the Doc Ock I love.

Seriously, Ock can tag Spidey at least half the time, so his attacks have to be as good as Spidey's dodge, especially moreso with the grapples.

Everything else I see... like Marvel TSR - Ock's fighting is unexplainably abyssmal.

Complications:
Secret (Actually Otto Octavius)- This is a big one- he'd be arrested for certain if anyone found out. Peter's closest friends and allies have already noticed a change in him.
Motivation (Greed, Power & Glory)- Otto now revels in the power and glory of being a beloved Spider-Man.
Responsibility (Arrogance)- Parker was a shy, unassuming guy and pretty happy-go-lucky. Octavius is an arrogant super-asshole. It's a big difference.
Enemy (Peter Parker)- Though he has fought off Peter's lingering persona in his brain, Octavius shouldn't rest TOO easily...
Enemy (Spider-Man's Rogues Gallery)- Though he hasn't encountered that many of them just yet, Spider-Man has NUMEROUS enemies that Octavius may now have to deal with. Even a short list is quite impressive, including the Symbiotes, Green Goblins, The Rhino, Sandman and others.
---
Power Loss- If Peter/Otto gets the flu or a cold, or if something weird is going on genetically, he will lose his powers. Still in shape, he is reduced to Strength 2, Stamina 3 and Agility 4.
Reputation (Spider-Man: Threat or Menace?)- Peter is mistrusted at best by the general public, no matter how many people he has saved. The police frequently chase him, and no matter how many freaking times a super-villain disguises themself as Spider-Man and commits a crime, the people of New York will automatically believe the lies and chase him. The freakin' Rhino could be in that costume and they would buy it.
Rivalry (J. Jonah Jameson)- Peter's boss, the volatile newspaperman (and now mayor), has a major mad-on for Spidey over all other superhumans, and relentlessly hunts for signs he's gone bad. Aside from this, JJJ is a classic "no-nonsense" type- though he was allied with the "new style" Spider-Man briefly, he soon discovered the duplicitousness of his new partner, who is now blackmailing him.
Responsibility (With Great Power Must Come Great Responsibility)- Otto actually sort of picked up on this a bit, though his methods are a bit extreme, including spying on all of New York.
Power Loss (Web-Shooters)- Spider-Man runs out of Web Fluid whenever the GM demands it. Always at the worst possible time.
Secret Identity- It's still a matter of importance to maintain the Parker Persona.

Total: Abilities: 92 / Skills: 78--39 / Advantages: 30 / Powers: 83 / Defenses: 10 (254)

A Spider of a Different Sort:
-One of the most-interesting and fascinating reads in comics in the past few years was Dan Slott's The Superior Spider-Man- taking place at the end of the one of the latest big Spider-Events (in which a dying Doctor Octopus has tried to take over the world and then destroy it in one last hurrrah), Doc Ock has managed to defeat Spider-Man by SWITCHING MINDS with Peter Parker, allowing him to inhabit his arch-enemy's body. Now, living Peter's life as a Think-Tank scientist, Octavius finds himself "improving" Peter's entire existence! Of course this is accomplished by being a gigantic egomaniacal asshole. In many ways, he IS a better Spider-Man than Pete ever was... but the ways he accomplishes this are dark and quite disturbing. Since he's taken over Pete's body, he's killed people, blackmailed J. Jonah Jameson, threatened numerous others, callously let others be put in harm's way, and casually discarded old relationships of Pete's, meaning that this whole thing quickly unravels- basically, he used the "Dark Side"- the quicker, easier path to power and glory, and it ultimately proves fruitless, especially when facing off with The Green Goblin and HIS master plan.

-All in all, it's a REALLY interesting book, and a concept we've never really seen before. All other Villain-Centric books are about bad guys BEING BAD, while this is about a bad guy "Being Bad" while PRETENDING TO BE GOOD. It's a whole new dynamic, and his vicious tactics in dealing with super-villains (he savagely mauls The Vulture for training an army of children to fight, and executes a serial killer who'd already been beaten) really put a twist on things. You can see WHY an evil, arrogant villain might be a more successful hero (he doesn't bother with politeness or personal relationships... nor the privacy of anyone in New York- he creates Spider-Bots to spy on the entire city!), but at the same point, everyone reading wants Peter back... eventually. The story was just TOO INTERESTING to blow off quickly, and so Slott wisely took it very slowly.

-And man, what a pay-off. The overall reasoning was a TAD iffy (Ock was horrified when his lady-love was kidnapped by the Green Goblin- and felt his own inferiority complex was holding him back as he kept acting out to "prove himself"; and realizing that Parker was the heroic, selfless one who could best save her, willingly gave up control), but Peter's returning line, and the Goblin's reaction, was a thing of beauty.

Superior Stats:
-The Superior Spider-Man is essentially a combination of the stats of Peter Parker in his physical prime, with the mind and Skills of Otto Octavius. There's a bit of overlap, and Ock gets SOME of Pete's innate stuff (he had access to Parker's memories for a good while, and also seems to have picked up Pete's fighting ability in no time flat thanks to the Spider-Sense), but in essence it's a more dangerous, vicious Spider-Man with even GREATER technological genius. His abilities at Deception and manipulation are great, but he's bad enough at acting like Pete that Mary Jane, Boring McForgettablegirl, and The Avengers have noticed the clear difference in personality (which could theoretically be the result of the extreme stress Pete had been under after Ock's Sinister Six nearly destroyed the planet, and killed Silver Sable).

-Thorpacolypse had some neat stuff for Ock's Spidey-Suit, so I added that in- the Remote Sensing in particular was a nice touch (I was willing to call that Equipment, but it's really not- those Spider-Bots are EVERYWHERE). He can inject Nano-Bots that let him track people with those little claws of his (which don't really do any extra damage, considering how strong he is). All in all, Octavius makes for a Spider-Man that is 29 points more expensive than Pete was, owing to greater Intelligence and the Spider-Suit.

Relationship (Peter Parker)- The two were assigned together for a Physics Doctorate program, and soon fell in love. Unfortunately, "Peter" was actually Otto Octavius INSIDE the body of Peter Parker, and so she had no relationship with the man once Peter took back control.
Disabled ("Little Person")- Anna Maria has some form of dwarfism- she is much shorter than the average woman, and has little legs and arms, which makes her slower than normal. She is likely to experience various physical problems as she grows older- moreso than the average.

Total: Abilities: 18 / Skills: 16--8 / Advantages: 0 / Powers: 0 / Defenses: 4 (30)

-Anna Maria is the totally adorable "Girlfriend Character" introduced during the Superior Spider-Man arc- a Little Person/Dwarf, she nonetheless looks pretty good (which many would think unlikely, but a few women of similar stature are actually quite decent-looking: There's one of the Suicide Girls who identifies as a "midget", which is technically an incorrect term. Plus actress Meredith Eaton, who has a pretty gorgeous face). She also comes across as likeable, sarcastic, and a great cook, which are all pluses. The fans seemed to take highly to her (especially compared to some of the girls PETER goes after when MJ's not in the picture), so it's too bad that once Otto Octavius left Peter's body, she was kind of left without anyone.

-She seemed to take that rather well, though, to the point where I found it odd. I haven't read much of the Spidey books post-Ock, so I don't know how much the followed up on it, but poor Anna Maria basically found out her boyfriend was Spider-Man, found a RING in his pocket intended for her, and then was hit with the "oh sorry- my evil arch-nemesis had placed himself in my body, so I'm not actually the man you love. Also I'm totally banging this other chick named Silk now." And she seemed to just stare forward and accept it without another word. Like I said, I've more to read, so I don't know how much else they said about it.

-An intelligent Physicist (though she mainly uses her Expertise for Cooking, it seems), she's pretty minor-league as far as Marvel Geniuses go, but manages alright in spite of her small stature.

-Sure enough, when a piece of crap "Character Kill" like Otto Octavius' happens, someone comes in to replace them. Just a little something to capitalize on the prior's legacy... but they made a handful of mistakes on this one. The replacement came WAY too soon after Doc Ock's death, with the wounds still fresh on Spidey fans (who were ALREADY getting pissed off by this stupid Clone Saga), and so she was immediately disliked- fans would have disliked her even if she was awesome. Then there's the fact that Doc Ock II was a Dork Age-class villain with LASERS and a FORCE FIELD on top of the arms, trying to be more kewl and all that. Then there's the fact that she was in no cool stories. It was just a dumb move overall. When fan backlash led to Octavius himself being brought back a mere couple years later in a Hand-based resurrection ceremony, Carolyn Trainer basically disappeared for over a decade, and even now is just a footnote and a villain who shows up in big group scenes in Secret War and stuff like that.

-Trainer is basically like a much, much crappier version of Dr. Octopus I, gaining a couple tricks (the old Datalink/Communication and Lasers), but losing dozens of others. She's nowhere near as good a fighter, her attacks do less damage in some cases, and more. She's still a super-genius, but she's nobody special, just a PL 10 over-costed Octopus. Actually, that's still a pretty kick-ass power-set- she's more expensive than your standard Mook Villain by a ways.

I love Anna Maria. Possibly because my mom was 4'11' and my wife is 4'7'' so I am wont to love short women who take no crap. ;)

I had no desire to read the new Clone Saga but getting the Superior Octopus out of it is totally worth it. Otto back with a Spidey body AND tentacles? That has the potential for so much more awesomeness, it makes me giddy. :)

I remember seeing Lady Ock defeated by Mockingbird (!) in one comic, though Ronin may have been there too.

That's a great Doctor Octopus build. People never seem to think about how fast those arms must be to keep up with Spider-Man. I like Carolyn Trainer and her purple anime hair, too.

Not as much as the Doc Ock 2099 in Shattered Dimensions, though. She was the best thing in that game.

-A largely-forgotten Spider-Foe, Stunner was an overweight, lonely Video Store clerk (boy is THAT ever a dated reference now... up yours, Netflix) who was given a great Virtual Reality device by Dr. Octopus and his protégé, Dr. Trainer. She uses it to live out a different life as "Stunner", a tall, muscular Amazonian Beauty (I love you, Mark Bagley) that assaulted Spider-Man & The Scarlet Spider during The Clone Saga. Falling in love with Octavius in the process, she was emotionally-ruined when he was killed by Kaine. She was rendered comatose when her V.R. device exploded during Doc Ock's resurrection (her "Stunner" form was the sacrifice needed for the resurrection ceremony), and disappeared until modern times. In The Superior Spider-Man, Stunner returned, assaulting Spider-Man as the "Murderer" of her beloved Otto, requiring Ock-Spidey to engage in the awkward dialogue about how he had in fact survived, but had found another, leaving the poor, lonely woman to suffer and mourn.

-"Stunner" is essentially a Summoned Minion at high enough level to perform as a PL 8 Powerhouse Construct- a solid enough challenge for most superheroes, but not overly-so. It's summoned via a V.R. Matrix that Angelina Brancale wears, can appear just about anywhere (Teleport on the Minion), and fights like a Heroic Minion with a Mental Link (since it's effectively Angelina wearing the thing).

-Chance is a one-note gambling-man mercenary, who got himself a power-suit and a creative concept: He wagers his price against his chance of killing his target- if he fails, HE pays the guys who ordered the hit. He's had a handful of appearances, mostly spanning the mid-80s to early-90s, and he vanished without a trace two decades ago, but his suckiness belied a pretty neat idea. Steve Ditko even drew his appearance in a Spidey annual, the only time I've ever seen the guy.

-He debuted being hired by The Foreigner ("You're as COLD AS ICE---!!!") to kill Spider-Man, but failed (naturally). He then fought Daredevil over killing a murder witness, but the contract was cancelled when his benefactor died. Later, he & Spidey teamed up against The Life Foundation (who'd kidnapped Chance in order to copy his wrist-blasters), and had a deal with casino owner Raymond Trask, who'd first been his target- then hired him to be a bodyguard, a pretense for having him killed (this was his solo story in the Spider-Man Annual). It would be more than TWENTY YEARS until his next appearance- during Spider Island, he teamed up with Scorcher & The White Rabbit to guard a lab at Empire State University, but was beaten by Peter Parker (out of costume and using the moves he'd learned from Shang-Chi).

-Pretty standard mini-Powersuit: Protection, Blasts, Flight and Senses (but he had the comparatively-rare Radius Sight). He's tangled (and lost to) Spider-Man, Daredevil & Iron Man (who must've been jealous that somebody ELSE had a Powersuit enemy, so he's only a PL 8 guy. He's rich, charismatic and charming, and one of the top gamblers alive (it's basically Persuasion/Insight/Deception, but I threw a specific Skill in there because it's not like he was breaking the bank on points anyways).

Relationship (The Kravinoff Family)- Kraven's family includes three useless sons, a crazy daughter, and his wife Sasha.
Relationship (Calypso)- The two were together for a time- she attempted to avenge his death several times.

Total: Abilities: 82 / Skills: 70--35 / Advantages: 33 / Powers: 22 / Defenses: 12 (184)

Kraven the Jobber:
-Kraven the Hunter has the worst name ever, when you really think about it- the word "craven" means "contempibly cowardly", and pretty much ONLY appears in English next to the word "coward" (much the way "voracious" now only seems to be included next to the word "reader"). So his name is basically Coward the Hunter.

-When I first got into comics, Kraven had been dead for about half a decade, and was treated like he was a really big deal- Kraven's Last Hunt had gone into history as being one of the best Spider-Man stories out there. My dad was actually shocked the guy was dead, as he thought Kraven was AWESOME when he was a kid- though he recalls him as a heroic character on some cartoon show (??). So it was much to my surprise to discover that, despite being a big deal in modern times, Kraven was actually considered a JOKE in his own era. He was one of Peter's first opponents (appearing in ASM #15), doing the "Great White Hunter" bit with the whole "Hunting the Deadliest Game" cliche, and even joined the Sinister Six. But after this strong-ish start, he soon became more and more of a loser, appearing in the 1970s issues usually with assistance from other characters- he was no match for Spider-Man in a straight-up fight.

Kraven's Last Hunt:
-So with Kraven now a Jobber, writer J.M. DeMatteis came up with a new character for the guy- the Tortured Russian (upon discovering Kraven's Russian heritage while reading an Official Handbook, DeMatteis figured on linking the character traits of Dostoyevsky characters onto Kraven). Kraven, despondent over his numerous failures and his aging, decides on a "Final Hunt" for Spider-Man. He drugs Spidey with toxins, BURIES HIM ALIVE, then dresses in the Wall-Crawler's uniform (then the black costume) in order to "become" his foe- he hunts down Vermin, the ONE foe Spider-Man had yet to defeat on his own, proving himself. When Peter digs himself out of the grave two weeks later (!!), and the two confront each other- Kraven commits suicide.

-This story was HUGE for the time (how many recurring characters had ever offed themselves?), and immediately made Kraven a legendary character instead of a joke. So effective was the story, that Kraven retroactively became this bad-ass guy with a huge backstory! He was given a whole litter of Retroactive Children (LOTTA guys in the Spider-verse with that, actually), and an old girlfriend in Calypso (who featured in a lot of early '90s stories).

Kraven's New Hunt:
-Writers managed to wait a whole TWENTY YEARS before resurrecting him, probably out of respect for the Last Hunt. And because twenty years' time had basically erased the stink of all that Jobbing, turning Kraven now into this merciless ass-kicker (I wonder if that would work for Hank Pym? Marvel should kill him for twenty years to see!). Though he'd had two useless sons attempt to make their names off of his legacy, his nasty daughter Ana proved to work a little bit, and Kraven was brought back to life. Kraven returns in a psychopathic state, bereft at being returned to life. He murders his wife and one of his sons, and ends up fighting both Spider-Man and the returned Kaine, the new Scarlet Spider!

-Alas, in his new role, he's pretty much become what he used to be, having jobbed to two different Spiders (plus fought The Hulk for some reason). Given that it's in the nature of villains to lose in the comic books (unless Geoff Johns is writing), Kraven has a tough row to hoe to equal his bad-ass rep, because people are going to just use him as a one-off baddie endlessly, because his entire schtick is "I'm going to hunt ______!", and he's going to lose.

Kraven's Stats:
-Kraven's an odd mix of stuff, being a PL 10 combatant who is extremely skilled, is smart enough to build complex devices (his Lion-Head Vest has an Electrical Blaster inside it), an elite hunter, a nerve-striking fighter (Crit-Hits on an 18-20), and more. He's a fairly pricey character, but it fits since he's so capable. Even so, he's still "only" PL 10-worthy, with his best showings coming after poisoning Spidey or things like that. He's tough, but not SUPER-elite. Like a lot of villains, Kraven's game is in the scheme- him playing Stealthy and doing sneak attacks, stuff like that. For a brief time, he was effectively Immortal unless given a death-blow by Spider-Man himself- this ended when Kaine killed him and then restarted his heart.

Kraven's a pretty fun villain, even though the whole "Great White Hunter/Hunting The Most Dangerous Game" thing is pretty common in fiction.

Also, at some point after you come back, could you try converting your Power Ranger Template build to 3rd edtion? I'm curious, since there's that Power Rangers/Justice League crossover comic (Which, while interesting, is pretty ridiculous..I mean, the Power Rangers are strong, but there's no way they could take on the stronger JLA members like Supes, even with teamwork. The Megazord, maybe, but Superman is good at taking out giant robots. It's just a thing you have to forget about during crossovers, I suppose. Power Creep and all.)
