I really am digging Black Fox's rogues gallery. They're every bit as awesome as they should be, giving off a very "Dick Tracy" vibe.

Thanks! I could imagine a score more, but largely just "Deformity + Gangster" in appearance, but I wanna get to the more "standard" supervillains again (plus, I actually have drawings for THOSE guys!) :). Most of the others would likely be simpler guys like bank-robbers, cat burglars, etc. Maybe one guy with giant lips, some dude with a ratlike face, etc.

Complications:
Motivation (Greed & Power)
Enemy (The Black Fox)
Rivalry (Other Mob Bosses)- New York is presently up for grabs, and the city's underworld don't often play nicely with each other.
Disabled (Speech Impediment)- Mumbles is named for his inability to speak clearly- he is sensitive about this... which means he'll strangle anyone who calls him out on it. This often leaves him giving confusing or contradictory advice to his underlings, most of whom are too afraid to ask for clarification.

Total: Abilities: 48 / Skills: 38--19 / Advantages: 15 / Powers: 0 / Defenses: 12 (94)

-A particularly vicious, dangerous Fox Rogue is Mumbles McGhee, who controls part of the mobs in New York. Despite a crippling speech impediment that leaves him almost impossible to understand, Mumbles moved up the ranks of a criminal organization until he was in charge. Though he lacks charisma or much presence, his sheer size and might keep him in charge, though his underlings are often punished for carrying out the wrong orders (as most of them are too afraid to ask for clarifiaction of them). He beat the Black Fox senseless in their first encounter, though the hero escaped and won the rematch (this becomes a Fox cliche after a point). He has the smallest piece of territory of the various Rogues in NYC, but few of the others directly challenge him- his specialty is in strangling people, and he has an extremely violent temper.

Jab's Notes: Just another minor goon in the Black Fox's Rogues. I figure he might be the first one killed, though not at the Fox's hand.

Defenses:
Dodge +8 (DC 18), Parry +10 (DC 20), Toughness +6, Fortitude +7, Will +7

Complications:
Motivation (Greed & Power)
Enemy (The Black Fox)- Though intrigued by the new hero, Cardia doesn't like the wrench he often throws into her plans.
Rivalry (Other Mob Bosses)- New York is presently up for grabs, and the city's underworld don't often play nicely with each other.
Disabled/Reputation (Giantess)- Cardia St. Miller is more than eight feet tall, and is exceptionally good-looking. She cannot pass for another person, and is instantly recognizable, even from hundreds of feet away. Her massive height is also a liability in terms of health; giants do not live as long as normal people, and though currently healthy, her legs could fall apart in her later years.
Responsibility (Giant)- Cardia, though the picture of self-assurance and cool, is extremely sensitive about her "freakish" appearance. She dislikes spending large amounts of time standing up around others, and surrounds herself with henchmen who are generally of gigantic proportion themselves. She generally does not flout her height unless it's to intimidate or stagger others.

Total: Abilities: 72 / Skills: 30--15 / Advantages: 17 / Powers: 2 / Defenses: 9 (115)

-Cardia St. Miller is the daughter of New York's late Mob Boss, Antonio "Bloody Tony" St. Miller. Tony had three children, though Cardia was rarely seen by others after her sixth birthday- the girl hit an unexpected growth spurt that left her nearly six feet tall by the time she was eight years old. Fearing for her health (giants do not generally live long lives), Tony hid her away and put the best medical teams onto her care. Though her height rapidly increased, medical intervention was able to prevent many of the health problems befalling her people- despite growing to a near-record height of 8'6" (easily the tallest woman in history, and only five inches short of the male record as well), she had numerous surgeries that kept her joints intact, prevented deformities of her face and skeleton, and more.

-Cardia returned to New York after a life in exile in Europe- the impetus for this was the demise of her father, who was killed fighting the fifth Black Fox (Richard Clamency III). With her brother imprisoned and her sister uninterested in the mob life, Cardia took control of her father's operations after a few bloody months of struggle. The new Black Fox, Travis Clamency, arrived on the scene to find the mob falling into order, and made it his business to uncover the identity of this mysterious new "Lady Boss". He was stunned, upon breaking into her penthouse apartment, to discover that his target was in fact a woman of titanic proportions! Though she spent most of the meeting flirting with him, she soon attacked, defeating the hero easily thanks to her incredible reach and gigantic strength. Beaten and embarrassed, Travis planned better next time, and began taking down side operations. The two have since engaged in a cat & mouse game of flirtation (usually she flirts with him, flustering the easily-flustered hero, who lacks his father's "cool under pressure" personality), one-upsmanship, and clandestine operations. Cardia is the most powerful of New York's Mob Bosses (the Black Fox's Rogues Gallery), but that position is often up for grabs.

Jab's Notes: Yes, this is absolutely related to the fact that I totally find tha idea SO HAWT. I mean, come on. Plus, I think it suits the "weirdness" of a comic book world to have something that's only a LITTLE bit unrealistic. Though a giantess, she's actually not even the tallest person ever, so it's within the realm of possibility, especially with a rich father to pay for the medical bills, for a woman to be 8'6" and still be healthy. And "only slightly over the top" is PERFECT for comics. And at 8'6", she easily stands out in a crowd, doesn't need a weird outfit or otherwise-distinctive appearance, and becomes iconic simply by virtue of her size. Plus, how many "Femme Fatale" characters could beat the ever-loving piss out of the male hero by virtue of sheer size and reach advantage?
I really like this character. Not just for the um...obvious reason. Like others have mentioned its a different take on a crime boss. Someone needs to make this happen. Come on DC and Marvel. Put a character like this in your comics and then hopefully live action. ;-)

"Full Size" Dodge +5 (DC 15), Parry +6 (DC 16), Toughness +14, Fortitude +15, Will +5

Complications:
Motivation (Respect)- Sandra McAvoy was mousy, small and uninteresting, despite her genius. She craved respect and power, and wanted desperately to become a superhuman.
Obsession (Power)- As Skyscraper, she became incredible prideful and arrogant. She responds violently to insults, constantly attempts to challenge the most powerful superhumans around, and often bites off more than she can chew.
Reputation (Jobber To The Stars)- Skyscraper's losses against Titanica, Mega-Woman and other top-tiers leaves some underestimating her power. SuperStar knows how dangerous she is, but rookie heroes often blow her off as "some vulnerable giant", not realizing that it takes Strength 13 & Toughness 13 to hang with her. More than one rookie has been placed in traction by a good stomp.

Total: Abilities: 52 / Skills: 16--8 / Advantages: 10 / Powers: 59 / Defenses: 12 (115)

-The super-villainess known as Skyscraper debuted as a SuperStar villain, but has since moved on to become a bit of a "Journeyman"- a villain who fights a variety of opponents in different parts of the world. She was initially a mousy genetecist named Sandra McAvoy- not unattractive, but forgettable and lacking confidence. Jealous of the attention superhumans received, she endeavored to gain a set of powers for herself. These things were rather difficult to come by naturally, of course, but during a war between the mythological Titans and Earth's superhuman community (the Titanomachy II, it came to be called), she recognized an opportunity. One of many to scavenge the field of battle and find things to work with, she came across both a dead Titanian youth, and the blood of Hyperion- Titan of the Sun. Using these materials, she was able to synthesize a formula that would allow her to take on a God-like appearance, gaining a staggering height.

-Sharing a hometown with SuperStar, he was the first superhero Skyscraper encountered- the Titanian blood making her confident, brassy and powerful, she initially seduced the hero, offering to become his partner. Eagerly agreeing (I mean, she's a Giantess- come on), SuperStar was nonetheless horrified to see her coming dangerously close to taking lives in battle- smashing cars with her feet, throwing criminals hundreds of yards, and using what would be lethal force had he not intervened. Chiding her over this careless lack of foresight, SuperStar failed to realize the danger in taunting a Titan- in gaining their powers, she'd also gained temper and pride. Lashing out, she beat the hero and went on a dangerous rampage, requiring military intervention and the hero returning in order to bring her down.

-Skyscraper thus became known as a villain instead of a hero- any time she escaped from prison, she either attacked SuperStar, or began stealing things- respect was respect, after all. In her arrogance, she made the natural decision to challenge Titanica- the Olympian-powered Giantess, losing this (drool) exciting battle. Subsequent challengers were made against Mega-Woman, Meteor Hammer, and numerous other powerful heroes- Sandra became obsessed with dominance and power. She became a frequent partner of villains needing some "muscle", though her hot-headed nature often endangered battle plans.

-Despite her great strength (in the upper tier of Earthling powerhouses), Skyscraper has a poor track-record against Powerhouses- SuperStar dismisses her as a "Jobber To The Stars" (a term only a handful of the nerdier superheroes comprehend). Her lack of patience, natural skill, or experience in battle leaves her more inaccurate than a giant-sized fighter should be, and this leaves her vulnerable against high-tier competition. However, despite a reputation for losing to top-tiers, she is remarkably dangerous to lower-end heroes, who would be careful to not challenge someone as durable as Mega-Woman.

Jab's Notes: What? You KNEW I was gonna have to add in another one or two! I was initially going to go with "Standard Dumb Giant", but figured on an idea for her origin, which necessitated SOMEONE being smart, which linked to the whole "mousy girl wants to be big" thing. Using the Jabverse-Growth, she comes out much more cleanly that natural M&M-Growth would allow, although I had to throw in Close Attack to make it work.

The thing I'd like to ask Cardia is, at her height, how she certain is she about those hemlines?

Not many men are brave enough to get that close. Remember, she's got a hell of a reach.

Complications:
Motivation (Greed & Power)
Relationship (Mr. Dynamo)
Obsession (Competition)- Tell her she can't do something, and Brianna will go out and do it. When Mega-Woman was the most-respected woman in town (and attracted the interest of Brianna's BF), she immediately got competitive with words and actions, and sought out to humiliate the heroine.

Total: Abilities: 76 / Skills: 16--8 / Advantages: 19 / Powers: 74 / Defenses: 11 (188)

-Lady Dynamo was originally Brianna Hitchcock, a popular triathlete in Mega-City. Idolizing superhumans, but excelling in athletics, she became a major celebrity and sports hero, though met disappointment when an injury kept her out of the Olympics. Her lifetime focus on athletics changed forever, however, when her agent got a call from Alistaire Argent's office: He was looking for a date. This was a pretty typical thing in the world of high celebirty: Agent A calls Agent B and says "Celebrity Y would like to date Celebrity Z", the press are called, everyone gets attention and a high-profile relationship. And hey- the guy was rich.

-The two got along pretty well, being competitive, good-looking people, but Brianna grew annoyed at his lavishing attention on Mega-Woman. Believing herself to be "playing second fiddle" and just being used to make the heroine "jealous", she got competitive with Mega-Woman (as was her nature), taunting her in public, trying to tear her down, and ultimately convincing Alistaire to give her super-powers in order to compete. Reluctantly, he gave her the option of three power-sets his scientists come up with: Power Mimicry, Mega-Woman-like Super-Strength, or Energy Absorption. He warned her that this one was unstable and hard to control, and suggested Power Mimicry. However, she shocked him by dumping that option (she didn't want to be beholden to ANYONE for her power), and was convinced that she had the gumption to handle the Absorption power.

-And so, reluctantly, he had her empowered- to everyone's surprise, it worked even BETTER than expected- she not only gained a good bit of Super-human Strength, but found that her athletic physique took to the Absorption better than anyone's wildest dreams! She immediately challenged Mega-Woman to a fight, and when she refused, started endangering people in order to lure the heroine out- she actually defeated Mega-Woman by absorbing shocking amounts of "Mega-Energy" into her, turning her into a high-end powerhouse. Reveling in her victory, she became a public nuisance, even taking out various other superhumans to "prove" herself the best. It took Mega-Woman over-taxing her Absorption (by shunting the city's power grid into her, then attacking her with more Energy) to defeat her. Alistaire bailed her out of prison time, glorying a bit over his super-powerful, "Better Than Mega-Woman" girlfriend... but now that she had the credibility she wanted, she had no more need for him. When the good-looking Basher started flirting with her, and lavishing her with praise and respect, she left Alistaire for him. Now THIS bugged AA- while he barely cared about the relationship, the humiliation of being turned down for a glorified JOBBER VILLAIN was beyond embarrassing. Bitter and annoyed, he put on his armor and tried to beat the two up... only to lose. Mega-Woman enjoyed rubbing THAT one in, for certain.

-Eventually, Brianna and Dennis married (in a ceremony attended by super-villains AND super-heroes, forced to play nice by the happy couple!), her taking his last name, and him taking her superhuman name. The ever-competitive Lady Dynamo is a take-charge supervillain, taking Dennis and turning him into a partner in a high-end duo- they steal big, live large, and take on only the best superheroes- a convicted criminal pair, it's really the only life they can lead. They're notorious in the super-community for their daring raids and very public behavior, but are generally known to not aim for killing blows, offering them some mercy not given to others.

Jab's Notes: This pair ended up being pretty fun. Initially, I was just aiming for a Titania/Absorbing Man-like "Battle Couple", figuring the dynamic was fun (BSDigitalQ has his own ice-powered duo with the same concept). So I threw together an outfit, realizing that my "Titania" should wear red, and have a "cut-out" costume kinda like Skeeter's. However, not wanting her to look JUST like Titania, I decided to make her black (always need more diversity in vile criminals, I always say). Then I was shocked- I liked the design! I mean really, REALLY liked the design! I always noticed that for some reason, black people look really good in bright red (no idea why- brown & red go together, I guess), and so I'd accidentally walked ass-backwards into one of my favorite designs!

-Now, this was the moment I realized I had to actually MAKE her something- no sense wasting that look on a "Titania" Jobber-to-the-Stars type. And so I came up with the idea that she was the more powerful one (similar to how Creel had more power than Titania at Marvel- as my world is more female-focused, it fit to reverse things)- The Basher (later Mr. Dynamo) shifted into being a generic Titania-like Powerhouse, while I figured on a Mimicry/Absorption gimmick for Lady Dynamo, turning her into a big-time powerhouse, eschewing Creel's exact powers for more of a Sebastian Shaw/Bishop-like set-up, making her a dangerous nemesis for an Energy Blaster/Powerhouse like Mega-Woman.

-My intitial "sketch the costume" drawing soon became a full drawing of the character, and I titled a pic "Lady Powerhouse" on DeviantArt. One guy (who faves all of my MuscleGirl pics) was enthused by her, and enjoyed the idea that a tough chick still called herself a "Lady". I confessed that Lady Powerhouse wasn't actually her name... but that gave me the idea for a Lady ____ name. So I jumped around on thesaurus.com looking for stuff that fit- I was either going with Powerhouse of Vigor, but looking up "reflection" I got "dynamism", which led to Lady Dynamo. So thanks to that guy!

-The origin was a bit trickier- I figured I'd made Basher/Mr. Dynamo one more of the "Mega-Energy Event" guys, as I needed more of them and it was an easy way to give an origin. With his wife, I went quickly with "Argent empowered her", but then had to figure out WHY. This shifted into a thing where they were dating, meaning he'd want to have her equal his crush (Mega-Woman), thus getting her empowered. So I gave her a backstory (athlete!), which led to her character traits (competitive streak!), which made HER the impetus for being empowered, at which point everything else came together. Then I had the funny twist where she leaves AA at the last second to be with a much lesser guy, which would TOTALLY humiliate the Alpha-Male Super-Rich-Guy villain! And now there's this quirky thing where Mr. Dynamo is kinda subordinate to his wife, but is TOTALLY into her regardless, turning them into a weird kind of Power Couple.

Complications:
Motivation (Greed & Power)
Relationship (Lady Dynamo)- Other villains give him a lot of shit for being subservient to (and taking the name of) his wife, but Dennis is fascinated and impressed by his super-tough, super-fit wife.

Total: Abilities: 74 / Skills: 16--8 / Advantages: 8 / Powers: 12 / Defenses: 10 (112)

-Before he was empowered, Dennis Merryman was a bodybuilder, well-known for his prodigious, impressive chest muscles. Like most pro bodybuilders, he watched what he ate, worked out for several hours a day, mourned every possible loss in the all-necessary "size", and had an impressive knowledge of chemicals for someone who didn't do very well in school. His great pecs were his pride and joy; coming about when the bodybuilding "world" (ie. bodybuilders and their friends) was extremely focused on "freak" bodyparts over cohesion of the form as a whole.

-Then he gained powers- Dennis gained superhuman strength thanks to a pulse from the "Mega-Energy Event" that empowered Mega-Woman and so many others. The full dose left him with "Class 100 Strength". Though he was amazed at his power, this also ruined his competitive career, as it left him with an unfair advantage. Becoming a "Spokesman" for bodybuilding, he made some money that way, and was pretty happy... until he realized how easy it would be to make SERIOUS cash. He probably wouldn't have thought of it for himself, but some crooks gave him the idea, and when the money started rolling in... he figured he could just make the occasional score as "The Basher". But one score turned to another, and his trademark "cut-out" costume of course wasn't fooling anybody- a bodybuilder hobbyist in Mega-Woman's police unit recognized his signature "pecs", and so the superhero went after him. Though strong, Dennis was pretty quickly defeated.

-His career ruined, Dennis shrugged and moved on with his life- becoming a recurring criminal menace. Too dumb to lead, he often hooked up with various gangs, or other supervillain teams (such as The Renegades, The Beatdown Force, and The It Squad) in need of a powerhouse. He lacked finesse, but his raw power (much more than the similar Crusher) made him an attractive option. He likely would have continued on this road for years, had he not met the woman who'd become his wife. With the soon-to-be Mrs. Merryman, he formed a criminal partnership, the two becoming a much greater menace than they would solo- he even took on HER villainous name, becoming Mister Dynamo!. Though he's frequently disrespected by other villains for being so subordinate to his "woman", he loves his wife dearly ("I... I love you even more than my pecs, honey!"), and doesn't mind being a "secondary villain".

Jab's Notes:
Mr. Dynamo ends up pretty standard in terms of stuff, but is way higher in PL than your typical "Loser Villain". This lets him act as the "Titania" as part of the Power Couple. His costume was a trickier one, but I went with the "cut-out" concept his wife has. A look that usually is used for women thus looks kind of silly on a male, which was part of the point- that show-off aspect led to his Bodybuilder past, so I made some jokes based around that- particularly his chest cut-out showing off these pecs that were his signature (reading a wrestling-themed book, I learned about how the Bodybuilding world temporarily got taken over by guys who freakishly overdeveloped individual body-parts, like one guy with huge legs).

Just a bit o' cheek here and there, Ken. If you got it, flaunt it.

Hm, so I was wondering if I'd been posting these too quickly, as I find some people get behind quickly, and can't keep up with the "post a day" style of this thread... plus, the Jabverse has a somewhat-finite nature (I'm nowhere near done... but it's not like I have as many characters as Marvel or DC do). So I might go to an "every other day" thing, or something like that. I'll post Drill Man tonight, but then I'll probably do a "Random Power Table" thing I came up with tomorrow.

-Irving Percival was an engineer working at a firm creating a set of variable drills for the U.S. Government. When the fat contract was instead awarded to the same people that built the Gryphon Armor, Irving was laid off. Enraged and despondent, he altered the drill design to fit on a suit of Power Armor, and used this to "show" the government whose work was best by attacking their special agent (Gryphon) and defeating him publically. As "Drill Man", he at first did extremely well, using his home-field advantage to keep Gryphon grounded in a series of tunnels. However, Gryphon soon fooled him into striking a water vein, and Drill Man's suit flooded and he needed to be rescued. Discredited and humiliated, he would continue his villainous activities once breaking out of jail- he couldn't get hired anywhere as an ex-con, and went to become a full-time criminal.

-Drill Man still occasionally gets sent against Gryphon (generally by wealthier Mega Villains or evil corporate types gathering multiple villains), but is more of a general Journeyman Villain. He's occasionally attempted to go straight, but difficulties in his personal life (an ex-wife, alimony and child support) often leaves him to dusting off the old suit. He's quite intelligent, but has never quite been able to finish work on anything besides upgrades to the armor.

Jab's Notes: Straight-up simple Jobber Villain. I imagine him looking pretty much like the MegaMan guy.

Really dig the heck out of the power couple there. How it's the woman who is the dominant partner and leader, the reason the guy has all of those odd cut outs on his outfit (because he likes to show off!). Also like Lady Dynamo's energy absorption based powers- it's one of my personal favorite powersets. Also, a black, muscly powerhouse? Me gusta mucho. :D

OK, I added pics from the FDH system (the one bsdigitalq uses... he's more skilled with it than I am, though):
