HISTORY:
Lincoln March was a candidate for Gotham City Mayor and supporter of Bruces Wayne's vision of a new revitalized Gotham. Lincoln March was also the COO of March Ventures and he underwrote Leslie Thompkins' satellite clinic on the east side of Gotham City.

While Wayne and March had a business discussion at the top Wayne Tower, an assassin calling himself the Talon attack both philanthropists sticking a throwing knife into March and then kicking Wayne out the window. Both men managed to survive the attack, and Wayne, who had his butler patch up his wounds for him, visited March in the hospital, who warned Bruce not to discount the fabled "Court of Owls" just because he'd never seen them before, as the greatest danger can sometimes be under one's feet when one doesn't realize it.

After he'd recovered from the hospital, Gotham City came under attack by a horde of Talons like the one that attacked Wayne and March in the tower. Most of the targets of the Talons had already been executed, leaving Batman the option to save either Jeremiah Arkham or Lincoln. Batman went after Arkham first, and then March.

At March's office, Batman opened the door to find March pointing a gun in his direction. His actual target was the Talon hiding behind the door, who collapsed when Lincoln took his shot. Batman rushed over to talk to March, finding that he had been stabbed in the chest. With his last words, March begged Batman to give a note to Bruce Wayne. As Lincoln March died, Batman read the letter. It was a list that Lincoln had compiled of the three people most likely to be members of the Court of Owls. Wayne swore vengeance against the Court of Owls.

However, March was not the innocent civilian that Batman had been lead to believe. His death was all a ruse, being negated by the Court's own electrum concoction that they had created to keep their assassin army alive through the years. Originally, March was a puppet for the Court, meant to distract Bruce Wayne long enough for their Talon to easily kill him. When Wayne defeated the Talon, March knew he wasn't the only one keeping secrets in their new friendship. Bruce Wayne was the Batman.

After being killed by the Talon and revived, March had realized the Court had betrayed him. In turn, while the leaders of the Court of Owls were in the middle of a secret meeting, March returned fire by secretly poisoning their drinks. Soon after, he met with Arthur Brown, who had been tracking the Court of Owls for two years through various clues, and agreed to fund and provide resources for his plot to destroy Batman through the use of his own minor villains.

At the Willowwood orphanage, Lincoln March, donning a modernized Talon suit, met face-to-face with Batman. March revealed to the vigilante how he had defied death right in front of him and his former participation in the Court of Owls.

After his story, March asked Batman if he had guessed who he really was. He gloats that his real name is Thomas Wayne, Jr., and he is Bruce Wayne's younger brother. Batman refused to believe this was true, despite Lincoln's story of how he had grown up being visited by Martha Wayne, and was then groomed by the Court of Owls to take Bruce's place. The two men fought, causing so much damage that the building they were in exploded. Batman managed to escape, though his opponent's regenerative capabilities meant that he could never be sure if Lincoln March would return.

Bruce would never be truly certain whether Lincoln March was telling the truth about his parentage without a DNA test, but many of the facts of his story could fit around the official paperwork - on the condition that Martha and Thomas Wayne had lied.

March was present in the shadows when Cluemaster had a meeting with several other low-ranking Batman villains, namely Signalman, Lock-Up, and Firefly, but was forced to knock Arthur's daughter, Stephanie, unconscious when she found out about the Cluemaster's plot.

With Arthur willing to kill Batman himself with the city on fire and in chaos, Lincoln made his way through Gotham and up Beacon Tower, using gas canisters to knock the villains guarding the entrance unconscious before ascending to the top and, with Arthur holding an unmasked Bruce Wayne at gunpoint and about to pull the trigger, slit his throat with one of Lincoln's four knives, killing him before telling Bruce that it was time that the two brothers finished this.

Lincoln admitted that he was disappointed that Arthur, who had always been a nobody as a costumed villain and had success in his plan exactly because of that, ever assumed he would ascend to the ranks of the highest and most dangerous, missing his own point. He tackled Bruce over the edge of the Beacon Tower roof with his jet thrusters, and rather than go on another air tour of Gotham with Lincoln March, Bruce pried one of the long shards of glass from his body and thrust it into the jet mechanism, removing March's ability to control it. Soon, they both collided with the screen from which the Riddler used to broadcast his nightly challenge during the Zero Year. Lincoln noted the irony of the fact that Bruce would die in the same place that he first revealed himself to the citizens of Gotham. And, with all the pandemonium that had befallen Gotham, all that would remain to explain it would be the Batman. Arthur Brown and his cronies were long gone, but when the people of Gotham found out that a penniless Bruce Wayne was the Batman, both men would be forgotten. The Batman's legacy would be over forever. As if in answer, Jim Gordon's plan rolled out, and the Bat symbol had been painted or projected onto the side of nearly every skyscraper in the city. In the meantime, Bruce tied the remains of his cowl around his head as a makeshift one, having found it, in order to protect his identity from anyone else who would see the fight.

Despite Gotham's rallying, Lincoln March was still intent on killing Batman, but was surprised by a punch to the face from the Spoiler, who declared herself "Batman". When he recovered, he saw that all of Batman's allies had surrounded him. Desperately, he tossed a smoke grenade and escaped into the tunnels beneath the city. Bruce attempts to go after him, but Jim Gordon stopped him, drawing his attention to the Bat-Symbols all over the city, and reminding that Batman has things under control.

Beneath the city, the Court of Owls captured Lincoln, and with little sympathy for him after what he did to their leaders, they locked him away in stasis, saying perhaps they would release him in a decade, once he learned his lesson, likely to act as their Talon due to his use of their electrum formula himself.

HISTORY:
Paibok was born on the planet Tarnax IV, in the Tarnax System in the Andromeda Galaxy and which was part of the Skrull Empire, but has since been destroyed. Paibok was trained at the Skrull military academy, and became a Skrull espionage agent, and a captain in the Skrull armed forces.

Paibok was behind the plot to replace Alicia Masters with Lyja.

When the Johnny Storm went to trial for setting fire to Empire State University, he was attacked in the courtroom by Paibok and Devos. Simultaneously, Klaw attempted to have his revenge upon the Fantastic Four by manipulating Huntara into joining them. Working together they attacked the FF as the Fearsome Foursome. However the Fantastic Four were Spider-Man, Sandman, Silver Sable and Daredevil. They were winning until the Avengers arrived, so they decided to retreat through a portal opened by Huntara. Daredevil attempted to pursue, but the dimension in which he found himself confused his senses, and he had to be pulled out by Spider-Man. On Paibok's starship they planned to destroy the FF at Four Freedoms Plaza, where they lay in wait for the Fantastic Four's return. When the heroes returned, Huntara launched into battle with Psi-Lord, leading the two of them away from the others. The remaining members of the Fantastic Four were taken out by knock-out gas delivered by Devos and Paibok. The two allies then teleported their captives to Paibok's ship, so that they could turn them over to the Skrull Empire. After they had disappeared, Klaw came out of hiding, and took the unconscious body of Ms. Marvel prisoner.

Paibok's triumph was short-lived, though -- once on Throneworld he discovered that Devos was a wanted criminal, a renegade with a price on his head and an entire world under his command. Devos promptly summoned his troops, took personal command of his ship and attempted to destroy Throneworld. The Empress blamed Paibok for this and repaid him by ordering his death.

Seeking to redeem himself, Paibok made his way on board the ship and confronted Devos. The ship's stardrive was damaged during their confrontation and the cruiser fell into subspace -- Devos and Paibok were both believed lost along with the ship.

Paibok somehow escaped from subspace and led a contingent of Skrull forces to Earth to capture the infant Watcher, Talmadge, but was stopped by the Thing and Kree forces and arrested. While being transported to the Kyln, the prison ship crashed in Alaska where he led the surviving prisoners in enslaving the native populace to repair what could be salvaged from the prison ship to leave Earth. Drax the Destroyer, who was also on the prison ship, killed the other alien convicts and not wishing to engage in battle with Drax and wanting to get off Earth, he used a beacon he took from the corpse of a guard to hail another prison ship to collect them.

However, while imprisoned in the Kyln the Annihilation Wave broke out which destroyed the Kyln. He was captured by Annihilus' forces and enslaved with mind-control parasites. Thus he fought for Annihilus throughout the Annihilation incident.

When Annihilus was defeated by Nova, the mind-control stopped having any effect and he escaped with Terrax and The Delinquent to a minor planet controlled by Randau the Space Parasite who had enslaved the native population and the crews of any ships that passed the planet. Together, they defeated Randau, whereupon Paibok (who accompanied Delinquent) and Terrax went on their separate ways.

Paibok soon joined the Maker's New Revengers.

LIMITATIONS:
  • Catastrophic Rage: Parasite possesses a berserker spirit. When frustrated or losing in battle he must make a red Psyche FEAT or slip into a berserker frenzy.
TALENTS: Thief

CONTACTS: None

HISTORY:
Rudy Jones, alias Parasite, was originally a menial laborer who was transformed while working as a janitor at the Pittsburgh branch of S.T.A.R. Labs. Unknown to anyone at the scene, Darkseid, the lord of Apokolips, remembered the Parasite who had existed prior to the Crisis on Infinite Earths (Maxwell Jensen) and manipulated events in order to turn Jones into a new version. Under Darkseid's influence, Jones opened a waste container believing it contained something of value he could steal, and was exposed to a strange form of radiation which changed him into the bald, green-skinned Parasite. Jones now had the ability to absorb the life energy of others, leaving behind a smoldering skeleton. This power was necessary for his survival, as his own body is in a constant state of hunger for energy that it can't sustain on its own.

During this time, Martin Stein, one half of the Firestorm matrix (Ronnie Raymond being the other half) learned he was slowly dying, and decided to destroy all the nuclear weapons in the world. This did not sit well with Earth's governments, particularly the United States, who sent the Suicide Squad to Times Square, where Firestorm was holding a press conference.

Things quickly got out of control as the Squad and the Justice League, both intent on subduing Firestorm, fought one another, and the Parasite (who was brought on the mission despite the protests of both Amanda Waller and Colonel Rick Flag Jr.) is released. He goes on a rampage and apparently kills Multiplex, and was brought under control by both teams. Later, he attacked the new Firestorm, who easily subdued him and left him near death.

During a period of incarceration at Belle Reve Prison, doctors attempted to cure the Parasite of his condition, but succeeded only in changing his skin color from green to purple and increasing his absorption power, enabling him to feed on other forms of energy such as electricity and heat.

After a number of years, the Parasite became involved in the plot to save Superman from overloading on solar energy. Rudy and Superman battled on the moon, where Superman uncontrollably unleashed an immense blast of heat vision that the Parasite absorbed, causing him to mutate even further into a huge, hulking monster with teeth resembling a leech's. This mutation again increased Rudy's draining abilities, allowing him to absorb fast-moving objects' inertia; it also made him impervious to telepathic attacks to an unknown extent, since he could now drain energy through a mental link (as he displayed when Dubbilex telepathically attacked him). His extra size and power did have a downside, however; he needed to absorb more energy more frequently in order to stay alive.

Unfortunately for a scientist that was tending Rudy during one of his terms in imprisonment, he was tricked and somehow absorbed into the Parasite. This joining was different from Rudy's others; he actually retained the scientist, Dr. Torval Freeman, as a part of his own mind. This combined intelligence made the Parasite even more menacing.

Because the Parasite can absorb Superman's energy, he is a formidable foe. The Parasite was recruited by Morgan Edge to be part of the second Superman Revenge Squad. Failure followed every one of his encounters with the Man of Steel. After Superman's powers were converted into electricity-based ones, the Parasite returned to see what he could absorb from the Man of Steel. However, at this point in time, Superman was not in full control of what was happening with his powers and nearly killed the Parasite. Later, Parasite returned once again, looking to make trouble for Superman but finding himself facing off against Supergirl instead.

At one point, Rudy was contracted to help drain off a being named Strange Visitor's excess electromagnetic energy, as she could not fully control it. This exposure to Strange Visitor's power caused the Parasite to mutate again, giving him the ability to fully and permanently retain the intellects of all of his victims, and also allowed him to maintain any stolen energy for up to twenty-four hours. Like Torval Freeman, Rudy also absorbed an unknown shape-shifter into his biology, granting him the permanent power to mimic the exact genetic makeup and appearance of his victims .

After he later escaped from S.T.A.R. Labs in the early 2000's, the Parasite began to form a plan to get back at Superman. He began stalking Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen in an attempt to get to those closest to Superman. The Parasite had taken the form of one of his previous victims, an old man, and was run down in the pandemonium that evening when Lois came to his aide. Not realizing that she was actually in contact with the Parasite, the simple touch was all Rudy needed to get the lowdown on Superman. Rudy was surprised to learn Superman's secret identity, and devised a new plan when he realized how close Superman actually was to Lois; the Parasite decided to take her place and tear him down emotionally by pretending to be a scorned Lois Lane.

Parasite's ruse would probably have worked if he had not had enough of Clark's constant apologies and attempts to get to the bottom of his and Lois' relationship problems. In a fit of rage uncharacteristic of Lois Lane, Rudy punched Clark out of their apartment and into the streets of Metropolis. Shortly after this display, Superman got the Parasite to reveal himself in the guise of Lois Lane. Rudy couldn't handle the fact that anyone other than himself (specifically as the Parasite) took down the Man of Steel. Just as the Parasite was about to lay the final blow to an exhausted Superman, Rudy drops, completely crippled by Kryptonite poisoning he had drained from Superman, unbeknownst to either Rudy or Clark. Superman finally realized that the reason he has felt so weakened recently was because he was being constantly drained by the Parasite, and was also the victim of the mysterious Kryptonite poisoning.

When he asked Rudy how long he had pretended to be Lois, the Parasite related his story to the Man of Steel. In his final moments, he tells Superman that he still needed to have contact with Lois once every twenty-four hours to maintain his charade, confirming that she is still alive. He also told him that Lois loves him more deeply than he could ever know. The Parasite died before he could tell Superman where Lois was imprisoned. Fortunately, Lois was soon found alive by Superman and Batman inside a cave the Parasite had used as a hideout.

Lex Luthor, with whom it is implied the Parasite had engaged in amorous, "extramarital" activity while in Lois' form, was infuriated when he learned of the Parasite's schemes. As such, Luthor went to great efforts to obtain the Parasite's remains.

Recently, the Parasite was holed up in St. Roch, Louisiana, where he uses his power-absorbing abilities to temporarily neutralize the powers of villains, for a fee, so they might evade detection during the course of criminal efforts. It is not explained how Rudy survived his apparent death by Kryptonite poisoning several years earlier, although Jones has shown in the past to be capable of regenerating his entire body from being burnt down to the skeleton, so he may very well have simply healed from the Kryptonite radiation. How he escaped Lex Luthor's custody is another question entirely.

There is also the possibility that this Parasite may not even be Rudy/Torval at all; his face is lacking the monstrous teeth that the Parasite has had for most of his career; his vocabulary is more sophisticated than what is normally associated with Rudy Jones, although this may be a result of Torval Freeman possibly being the dominant personality currently; and his costume is the one worn by Raymond Maxwell Jensen, which the Post-Crisis Parasite has never worn before. The only consistent characteristic of the Parasite is his hulking physique.

The events of the Infinite Crisis altered many of the details of Rudy Jones' early life and the Parasite's origins. In this new time line, Jones was resident in Metropolis at the time when Superman first appeared, and was one of the people chosen to benefit from the so-called 'LexCorp Lottery', Lex Luthor would bestow a life changing experience on someone chosen at random from the crowd that gathered outside his building each morning. Unfortunately, Jones ducked out of a physical exam and went off to eat donuts by a leaky container of hazardous waste. Eating a doughnut contaminated by the waste, Jones was transformed into a purple skinned mutant with an insatiable hunger for the life energy of others. How his subsequent history has been affected is not yet clear, though this may explain his apparent resurrection and appearance in St. Roch.

TALENTS: Engineer; Physics; Time Travel

CONTACTS: The Monitor (high)

HISTORY:
In his home dimension, Kell Mossa was one of the most gifted scientists to have ever lived. Arrogantly hoping to unlock the mysteries of the universe, and flying in the face of his people's concerns, he locked himself in an anti-matter chamber. He hoped to witness creation at the Dawn of Time, but instead he witnessed the Anti-Monitor, and helped begin that being's rampage of destruction. His world destroyed, Kell was saved by the Monitor, and renamed Pariah. He acquired the mostly involuntary ability to travel from one alternate Earth to another, forced to witness untold millions perish, although he could control this ability on occasion. He blamed himself for the destruction of his own world, the release of the Anti-Monitor, and the subsequent destruction of universe after universe, until he eventually learned he was essentially blameless.

During the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Pariah worked with different heroes from different realities, including Alexander Luthor of Earth-Three, in an attempt to defeat the Anti-Monitor. Once the Crisis was abated, Pariah remained on the newly reformed Earth, relieved that his penance seemed to be over, and hoping to find a new life for himself.

After some time living in peace, Pariah attempted to warn Lex Luthor of a threat from outside the universe. However, this Luthor was in actuality Alexander Luthor of Earth-Three in disguise, posing as the New Earth Lex Luthor, and preparing to remake the universe to his liking by restoring the multiverse. Pariah was subsequently murdered by Alexander Luthor.

During the Blackest Night, Pariah returned as a zombie and a member of the Black Lantern Corps with a black ring. He was once more condemned to travel the universe and warn of impending disaster. Pariah reappeared for the first time in Gotham Cemetery right before the Spectre was reanimated, and then in deep space he appeared to John Stewart right before the entire planet Xanshi became a Black Lantern.

HISTORY:
Eli Bradley has a family legacy of heroes. After losing the secrets of the Super Soldier Serum when Dr. Erskine died, the United States Army still wanted to produce more Super Soldiers like Steve Rogers. To this end, Col. Walker Price and Dr. Wilfred Nagel took 300 African-American soldiers from Mississippi to experiment upon. Only a handful of men survived the gruesome process, and only one of them survived the covert missions and assignments: Isaiah Bradley, Eli's grandfather. His uncle, Josiah X, continued the family tradition, enlisting in Vietnam War. Later he even took up Isaiah's old Captain America uniform and joined the Crew. Before Isaiah received the Super Soldier Serum, he fathered Sarah Gail, Eli's mother. Because of this Eli was born with no superhuman abilities.

Shortly after the Avengers had disbanded, a younger version of Kang the Conqueror traveled to the present era, with the goal of stopping his future self. Unsuccessful in his attempts to contact the Avengers, he downloaded the The Vision's programming and operating system from the remains of the destroyed Avengers Mansion. Among the Vision files, he found the Avengers Fail-Safe Program. Dubbing himself himself Iron Lad, he began to seek Avengers recruit in the New York City area. One of these recruits was Josiah X, Eli's uncle. However, Josiah had been out of contact with his family for years. Eli lied to Iron Lad, claiming to be a Super Soldier due to a blood transfusion from his grandfather, and volunteered for Iron Lad's team. Eli then began using the illegal Mutant Growth Hormone (MGH) pills to fabricate superhuman abilities. Wearing a costume very similar to that of Captain America's original sidekick, Bucky, Eli donned a full cowl and a set of five-pointed throwing stars as Patriot, and alongside his new teammates Hulkling, Asgardian and Iron Lad, formed the Young Avengers.

After several weeks of training, the Young Avengers began taking on super hero missions. Their second mission was an attempted to save two hundred guest at St. Patrick's Cathedral when they were taken hostage during Susan Bishop' wedding. Unfortunately, the Young Avengers were only successful in starting a fire and becoming hostages themselves. It was a bridesmaid, Kate Bishop, that actually saved them using one of Patriot's own throwing stars. The Young Avengers were able, however, to escape the scene before the police arrived.

After the attack, at the hospital, Kate was approached by Cassie Lang, daughter of the Avengers' Ant-Man. Together the girls tracked down the Young Avengers at the ruins of the Avengers Mansion, where the girls confronted the Young Avengers and invited themselves onto the team. Not long afterward, the Mansion was attacked by Kang the Conqueror. To join the battle, Kate donned gear from the Mansion such as Mockingbird's Battle Staves and Hawkeye's Bow. She also found the original Captain America's Shield for Patriot. After defeating Kang and saving the world, Kate and Cassie remained on as permanent members.

Captain America and Iron Man ordered the team to disband and refused to train them. However, Kate used some of her family's money and connection to procure a new lair, costumes and weapons for the team. With Iron Lad gone, Patriot and Kate took on the unofficial roles of co-leaders. Patriot and Kate even shared some chemistry and competitiveness.

Not long after entering their secret superhero lives, Wiccan discovered Patriot was using MGH to temporarily grant him superhuman powers. After taking MGH, Patriot fought Hyde one-on-one before injecting him with an overdose of MGH and knocking him unconscious. After being forcibly calmed by Wiccan's magics, Eli woke up in recovery at Avengers Tower, with the new Vision taking care of him. After Eli revealed the true origins of his powers, he quit the team.

The other Young Avengers unsuccessfully attempted to get Eli to rejoin them. It wasn't until after Hulkling was captured by the Super-Skrull that Eli rejoin them. During the subsequent battle between the Kree, the Skrulls forces, the Young Avengers and the New Avengers, Patriot used himself to shield Captain America from gunfire, and was severely injured. After the battle Captain America rushed to the hospital to give Eli a blood transfusion only to discover "another Captain America", Eli's grandfather, had already given Eli his blood. Since the transfusion, Eli has gained physical attributes and powers of a real Super Soldier.

Along with the rest of his team, Patriot sided with Captain America and the Secret Avengers against the Superhuman Registration Act, which led to the Superhero Civil War.

When the Skrulls invaded Earth, Patriot joined the other Young Avengers and Runaways on the front lines of the battle.

Patriot along with the other Young Avengers helped rescue the fallen from Asgard during the Siege. He and Hawkeye were briefly trapped under some rumble themselves leading to an argument and a kiss.

After Wiccan's powers overloaded and the Avengers decided to keep him under observation, Patriot and the other Young Avengers broke Wiccan out of holding and began the search for the Scarlet Witch. Patriot was extremely hesitant about the plan, but still accompanied the others. Accompanied by Magneto and Quicksilver, the team traveled to Transia and then to Latveria, before discovering a depowered and amnesiac Wanda engaged to Doctor Doom. The rediscovery of Wanda did not go unnoticed though, as the Avengers soon arrived on the scene. A battle with Doom's Doombot army soon broke out and was only stopped by the arrival of Iron Lad.

Iron Lad teleported the Young Avengers and Wanda into the time-stream. They all went into the past, and met reanimated Jack of Hearts, who was about to explode. After that Wanda remembered who she is, regained her powers and returned herself, the Young Avengers and Scott Lang into the present. She then finally confirmed that Billy and Tommy are indeed her reincarnated sons.

Wanda's increased powers were revealed to be the result of her gaining a connection to the life force itself. A ritual intended to undo the Decimation was interrupted by Patriot, leading to the powers being transferred to Doctor Doom. He intended to usher the world into utopia, a utopia in which he would rule. The Avengers and X-Men teamed up to defeat him, and in the process, Stature was killed by Doom, and the villain escaped after losing his powers when they overloaded.

Iron Lad proposed to save Stature through the Time-stream but Vision refused, ending with both of them battling each other and Iron Lad destroying Vision and then taking off to the time stream, even after Wiccan warned that this is the moment in time where he becomes Kang the Conqueror.

In the aftermath of the battles, Elijah left the team while all the remaining Young Avengers were officially named full fledged Avengers, and moved to the Midwest. At some point in time, he moved to Arizona to work in voter registration, according to Shaun Lucas.

HISTORY:
Christopher is the son of Austrian industrialist Wolfgang Schmidt, and American author Elizabeth Lewis. He was born in New York City, but raised in Austria.

His father committed suicide in 1955 after secrets about his past in the war came to light. He had commanded a Nazi concentration camp in Poland, and had war crimes on his name. Christopher, five years old, witnessed the event, which traumatized. The trauma would define his life, and his relation with his father.

Elizabeth returned to the United States with her son and changed her name to Smith. Christopher had difficulty fitting in, and became rebellious and aggressive. He began to see visions of his father in an SS uniform, speaking directly to him. Wolfgang urged Christopher to excel in academia to be worthy of his legacy, and he did.

The day he turned 18, Christopher enlisted in the army. The war was in its final days when Sergeant Smith was assigned for his first tour.

After an error from military intelligence and urged on by the voice of his father, Christopher Smith inadvertedly massacred a village full of innocent people. As he was in charge of the unit, he was made the sole scapegoat. A court-martial sentenced him to 20 years to life in Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary. His mother died while he was in jail.

Christopher Smith was given a parole, provided he worked with the US Government on Project: Peacemaker, an elite, secret police force that fought terrorism. Urged on by the voice of his father, Christopher accepted and excelled in his training. The program was shut down before it could start, but Christopher was freed anyway.

Christopher returned to Austria to head his father's business. He changed the main production lines, from ammunition and weaponry to household appliances. Now a millionnaire, he lived the life, and eventually settled in Switzerland. He founded the Pax Institute in Geneva, a charity dedicated to helping war victims. In the capacity of chairman, he started his own Project: Peacemaker. His goal of peace he wished to achieve in two ways: in his civilian guise with the charity, and as the masked Peacemaker. Peacemaker, a one-man-army with high-tech weapons, became an important part of his life, and his father's spirit kept harrassing him to become more and more extreme. His mental illness also became worse, as he thought the souls of those he could not save lived in his helmet.

After the Agency figured out his secret identity, Peacemaker was shanghaied into service. Agency chairman Valentina Vostok used his services, and saw to it that he went to therapy with Dr. Bridgette D'Abo to temper his psychological problems.

After the Agency was dissolved, Peacemaker briefly worked for Checkmate. After that, Amanda Waller recruited him in the Shadow Fighters. Their mission was to rescue a girl in Parador. The Shadow Fighters faired badly against Eclipso, who had taken over the country. While piloting a helicopter, Peacemaker was brought down. The entire team was reported killed in action, but Smith survived.

Christopher stumbled at Kha-Ef-Re's tomb when he was fighting Intergang. He discovered some alien tech belonging to the Reach. He courageously downloaded the Reach's infiltrator program into his mind. After seeing the horrible images of what an infiltrator could do, he set out to El Paso to see the person the programming was meant for, Jaime Reyes.

KNOWN POWERS:

TALENTS: Espionage

CONTACTS: None

HISTORY:
Pink Pearl worked as an international terrorist under the disguise of side show attraction at circuses. She invaded and took over the circus of Clementine D'arbanville, a friend of Northstar's. When Northstar and Jeanne-Marie came to D'arbanville's aid, they faced Pink Pearl and her band of terrorists. Despite their super-powers the twins were captured by Pearl. Once captured, Pearl revealed her plan to set off an explosion which would kill the Prime Minister of Canada as well as the President of the United States. She would then frame D'arbanville, a former Quebec sovereign for the explosion. Aurora came into control over Jeanne-Marie and was able to free herself. Northstar, Aurora and D'arbanville then stopped Pearl and her group. During the battle, Pearl appeared to die when a knife was embedded in her chest. However, she had simply passed out from shock, but was permanently scarred by the knife blade.

After some prison time, Pearl apparently became a legitimate businesswoman, opening 'Cloisters', an exotic male dancing establishment. When Aurora arranged for Diamond Lil's bachelorette party to be held there, she was unaware that Pearl ran the club. When Aurora got up and danced with one of the male dancers, Pink Pearl attacked her, demanding she leave. After a brief skirmish, the three Alphans were arrested for disturbing the peace, as Pearl, while she may have used excessive force, was ejecting a disturbance from her business.

Pearl later turned up as a member of Superia's all-female supervillainess army the Femizons.

TALENTS: Detective, Guns, Criminal Underworld

CONTACTS: JLA, Woozy Winks

HISTORY:
In the 1940s a crook named Patrick "Eel" O'Brian was shot by a security guard at the Crawford Chemical Works[1] and struck by a falling drum full of an unidentified acid, some of which entered Eel's wound. He was saved in Rest Haven by a mysterious order of monks whose example cured his penchant for crime. The acid bath gave him the ability to change his shape. He wore dark glasses and a red and yellow costume as flexible as his body. Whatever shape he took, the colors remained the same, so there would be a red-and-yellow chandelier over a table full of plotting gangsters, or a red-and-yellow abstract painting hanging on the wall, but the villains never caught on until it was too late.

Plastic Man (sometimes called "Plas") later acquired a sidekick called Woozy Winks, a clumsy oaf who was originally magically endowed with the power that nature itself would protect him from harm. Woozy became a dumb but loyal friend of Plastic Man. The two of them became members of the police squad and eventually the FBI. Plastic Man later aided his country by serving in the All-Star Squadron and Freedom Fighters. Because of their powers, "Plas" and Woozy have stayed youthful into modern times.

Strangely, Patrick became a good friend of Batman (despite Batman's lack of a sense of humor and skepticism towards reformed criminals), and an occasional member of the Justice League. It was revealed that Plas had a son named Luke who was born out of wedlock and whom he ignored to the point where his son joined a gang. Batman got Luke out of the gang and tried to reunite him with his father.

In a mission, Patrick and the JLA went back 3000 years into Atlantis' past where Plas was ripped apart during the fight. The JLA returned to the present thinking him dead but in the time gap (3000 years) he pulled himself together. Batman and Firestorm found him and helped him complete the process. Traumatized, he blocked Plastic Man from his mind. Plastic Man became Ralph Johns and went back to his family in Chicago. Emotionally, they took him in. He became an average Joe, a father, and was in an relationship with his son's mother.

When Martian Manhunter was possessed by a martian demon and tried to destroy the world, Batman came asking for his help (as he was immune to telepathy). After spending precious time trying to get him to remember who he was, Batman left "Ralph" to think it over. After staring out the window thinking about everything, Plas remembered who he really was after his son revealed his inherited powers and told him a joke. After defeating the rogue Martian Manhunter, was over, O'Brian started a new life balancing his hero life and his family life.

In the massive prison breakout by the Secret Society of Super-Villains during Villains United, Plastic Man was a responder to Blackgate Penitentiary where he fought Clayface. During the Battle of Metropolis, he punched out their leader Doctor Psycho.

In the aftermath, he celebrates with all of the other assembled heroes. He is present when Lex Luthor causes the mass slaughter of Everyman Project participants, and shows pride for his son Offspring who saved over twenty people's lives. During World War III, he is part of the charge led against Black Adam by the Justice Society of America. Adam actually manages to somehow make his nose bleed. Despite this, he manages to give his son advice on better banter. There's another celebration after their victory and Plastic Man attends.

Plastic Man is infected by Eclipso (Jean Loring) during Countdown to Mystery, who corrupts him and reverts his personality to before he reformed his ways. He becomes a criminal again, with Woozy Winks as his accomplice. Batman and Offspring work together to take him down, but the Spectre intervenes and finishes the battle. Eclipso rescues him for her own motives. He is gathered with her other converts Dove and the Creeper around the corpse of Alex Montez for a ceremony. They break into an NSA facility together to steal government property. Huntress attempts to stop them, but they succeed in stealing the Heart of Darkness. They are freed from his grasp, but not before Eclipso can reach his true power. However, while he's defeated by the Spectre they work to eradicate his remaining agents on Earth.

Martian Manhunter is murdered by Libra and the Secret Society of Super-Villains during Final Crisis. Plastic Man is one of the many who attend his funeral, where he comforts Booster Gold and Stargirl.

Plastic Man joins the Justice League of America again. During Blackest Night his heart is ripped out by a resurrected Vibe when the Black Lantern Corps rises. This seemingly kills him. However, he survives due to his unique physiology.

HISTORY:
Tremain was a mutant captured and studied by the Mandarin. On a secret mission, the Six Pack attacked the secret base Tremain was held in. Tremain had severe injuries, and Cable tried to save him. Cable used his telekinesis to keep Tremain's body together, but was forced to give him a blood transfusion. Although he survived this trauma, Cable seemed to think Post had later died.

Years later, Tremain resurfaced as Post, the lowest of Onslaught's emissaries. Onslaught forced Gateway to teleport Cyclops, Storm, Iceman, and Wolverine to where Post could 'test' them. The four managed to defeat Post and were transported back to the Mansion.

Later, Post attacked Cable. Cable instantly recognized him as Tremain. Post defeated Cable[2] and left him for the Hulk to finish off.

Post was later charged with ensuring the Sentinels would launch, and did so. He and his master Onslaught were eventually defeated by the heroes.

Post later was one of the mutants attacking Senator Robert Kelly. He was killed by Pyro, who then succumbed to the Legacy Virus.

HISTORY:
Power Girl is the Earth-Two counterpart of Supergirl and first cousin to Kal-L, the Superman of Earth-Two. Power Girl took her cousin's place in the Justice Society of America after he entered into semi-retirement to focus on his personal life. Kara Zor-L has since been recognized as an important member of the JSA.

After the events of the Crisis on Infinite Earths and the merging of Earth-Two into New Earth, Power Girl was led to believe that she was a descendant of the Atlantean sorcerer Arion, though Arion himself later revealed this to have been a lie. Kara's true Earth-Two heritage was revealed to her during the "Infinite Crisis".

After discovering Krypton was about to explode, Kara's father Zor-L launched her as an infant to Earth in a ship at the same time that Kal-L's ship was launched. However, Kara's ship took a much longer journey, resulting in her arriving on Earth decades after her cousin.

Unlike Kal-L's ship which was designed for fast travel, Kara's "Symbioship" was designed to hold her in stasis during her development through the prolonged voyage. In addition, the ship's artificial intelligence ran a virtual reality program, allowing her to interact with life-like copies of her parents and fellow Kryptonians. By the time she landed on Earth, Kara was an adult woman in her early twenties.

Power Girl's existence was not revealed to the general public until years after her arrival on Earth-Two. Her cousin Clark and his wife Lois provided her with a family environment that aided her transition from the virtual reality she had experienced during her voyage to real life relationships. She came to regard her cousin and his wife as her "uncle" and "aunt" for raising her on Earth-Two despite being cousins by blood and marriage. Lois Lane-Kent stated that they regarded her as their daughter.

In her first recorded case, Kara assisted Justice Society members Flash and Wildcat in containing an artificially induced volcano that had erupted in Peking, China.[4] She then joined them and other young heroes Robin and Star-Spangled Kid to form a Super Squad, along with active members of the Justice Society, to defeat Brain Wave and Per Degaton's scheme for world domination. Later, she was granted full membership when she took over Superman's vacated spot on the team roster.

Having been raised by the Symbioship with artificial Kryptonian life experiences, Power Girl had trouble fitting into life on Earth, but with the help of reporter Andrew Vinson, she eventually adopted the secret identity of computer programmer Karen Starr. She developed her knowledge in this field from treatment under Wonder Woman's purple ray on Paradise Island. Outside of the Justice Society, she developed a close friendship with Helena Wayne, the daughter of the Earth-Two Batman and Catwoman and was later a founding member of Infinity, Inc.

Following the events of the original Crisis, Kara's background was completely altered. With Earth-Two no longer existing, Kara's origin was altered and she was now the granddaughter of the Atlantean sorcerer Arion and had been frozen in suspended animation for millennia until the present day.

After the Invasion, Kara joined Justice League Europe and was later badly injured by the second Gray Man suffering a significant loss in power. Despite this, she remained a key member of the team throughout its history, including the first encounter with the Extremists and the Overmaster.

In the last days of the JLE, Kara discovered she was mystically pregnant, her unborn child able to magically protect her from harm. During Zero Hour, she was delivered of a boy who soon after aged rapidly and became Equinox. After battling and defeating Scarabus, Equinox disappeared.

Power Girl was recruited to be one of Oracle's first field agents. Their short-lived partnership ended in failure after a disastrous mission that resulted in a large loss of life. Power Girl believed that poor orders from Oracle were to blame for the tragedy and disliked Oracle intensely as a result (although she has worked with her again on a few occasions when needed.)

When Black Canary resigned from the JSA, she recommended Kara take her place, bringing Power Girl full circle back to the Justice Society of America.

During the events of Infinite Crisis, the Psycho-Pirate showed Kara multiple versions of her origin in an effort to drive her insane, but eventually revealed that she was not only Kryptonian but also a survivor of the entire Earth-Two universe.

Kal-L himself returned to the mainstream universe after breaking down the walls of the paradise dimension in which he, Lois Lane-Kent, Alexander Luthor, Jr., and Superboy-Prime had been living since the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths. Appalled by the rapidly-deteriorating state of affairs on the contemporary Earth, their goal was to replace the post-Crisis planet with a recreated Earth-Two. Kal-L's first order of business was to track down Power Girl and explain the events of the original Crisis to her, as well as confirming Psycho Pirate's claims of her Earth-Two origin. Kara's memories of her Earth-Two life were restored to her when she was re-introduced to an ailing Lois Lane-Kent.

Soon after, Kara stumbled upon a machine in which the Martian Manhunter was held captive. Before she could free him, she was attacked by Superboy-Prime and attached to the machine alongside J'onn J'onzz. Alex Luthor then revealed his true ambition of restoring the multiverse using representatives of various Earths, with Kara selected because of her link to Earth-Two.
Kara was later freed by Wonder Girl and Kon-El and joined them in fighting Superboy-Prime and Alexander Luthor, Jr.. Superboy-Prime fled Earth for Mogo, pursued by the two Supermen whom he fought. During the fight, Kal-L was mortally wounded and Power Girl arrived on Mogo with the Green Lantern Corps just in time to bid a tearful farewell to her dying cousin.

Power Girl went on to help re-form the Justice Society of America, where she was elected Chairperson of the team. She led the team through its dealings with the Superman of Earth-22 and the confrontation between the JSA and the super-being known as Gog. During that battle, Power Girl was sent by Gog to the parallel Earth known as Earth-2. Thinking she had somehow returned to her home reality of Earth-Two, she sought to adapt to life there with the counterparts of her long dead (and historically erased) friends. However, she noticed several major differences from her reality, particularly in the actions of Helena Wayne, who was going to murder the Earth-2 Joker. When Earth-2's actual Power Girl returned, it became clear that this was not her home and she returned to the Justice Society.

Following a disagreement in operational methods, Power Girl and the younger members of the JSA split into the Justice Society of America All-Stars. At the same time, she began devoting more time to her old R&D firm, Starrware Labs in New York City, and became friends with the young superheroine Atlee aka Terra III, becoming something of a mentor to her. While in New York, she defended the city from Ultra-Humanite, who tried to transfer his brain into her body. After his defeat, Kara was spared any major conflicts until Ultra-Humanite's ex-girlfriend Satanna tried to avenge his defeat. She nearly succeeded at killing Power Girl, but Atlee's intervention saved her life.

Ultra-Humanite eventually returned to fight Power Girl, this time having Satanna put his brain in Atlee's body. She was able to knock out Ultra-Humanite without seriously hurting her friend's body, then tracked down Satanna to force her to undo the damage. When that failed, she then took Atlee and Ultra-Humanite to Strata. Atlee's brain as returned to her body, and Ultra-Humanite' brain was put into a clone, also curing him of his genetic disease at the same time. Later, Kara offered him a job, but he refused. Before having his memories erased, he revealed that he was still evil, and swore vengeance on Power Girl before having his memory wiped.

Follwing Blackest Night, Power Girl returned to duty with the Justice League in order to hunt down the resurrected Maxwell Lord. While in Moscow, Booster Gold ends destroying the Justice League International embassy, greatly upsetting Power Girl. She flew off to investigate the next lead provided by Batman alone, only to encounter OMACs. She fought them, but they shut down after Maxwell Lord activated a device that erased his identity from minds of everyone on Earth. When she returned home, she found out that her financial officer and trusted friend Donna Anderson stole all of her company's money, leaving Starrware in bankruptcy. The bank and Kara's rival companies systematically took everything all of Starrware's creations.

She then encountered a mysterious cyborg called C.R.A.S.H that was programmed to level New York City. She managed to stop the cyborg, but before she was able to turn him in, Maxwell appeared and rescued C.R.A.S.H. It was also during this time that Nicholas Cho, an employer of Starrware, figured out Power Girl and Karen Starr were one in the same, and threatened to expose her. She manages to convince him otherwise, and convinces him to serve as her partner. Power Girl then went to Batman to investigate both Maxwell Lord and Donna who stole from her company. Due to Maxwell's powers, though, they forgot about him once again. Focusing on finding Donna, they learned that she died of an apparent drug overdose. Not buying the facts, Kara traced a potential lead to Antarctica. Upon arrival, she fought Divine, a clone of her created by Maxwell Lord and Dr. Sivana. When Power Girl came close to winning, Maxwell appeared, stunning her and taking Divine away. After the encounter, Kara remembered who Maxwell Lord was.

Power Girl tried to convince the JSA and Batman about Lord and the threat he posed. However, during the meeting, another mind wipe causes them to forget about him once again. Power Girl then goes to Professor Ivo's new lab in Vietnam where he's revived Project Cadmus. Before she could shut it down, Maxwell stopped her and used his powers, to force her to kill the Justice League International. The JLI managed to snap her out of Maxwell's control and decides to join them in stopping him. She then goes to dig up the corpse of Ted Kord to prove that he was murdered. When she takes the body to Batman to examine it, he initially refused, but after some convincing with Batman (the recently returned Bruce Wayne), the two examined the body to learn that Ted Kord was indeed killed by Lord. Power Girl then joins Batman and the JLI in stopping Maxwell Lord. After Lord was defeated, Kara was able to restore her company and refocus it on using her creations to help the general public. Knowing that this would mean Karen Starr would have to enter the public spotlight, she puts some advice she received from Superman into action and begins putting more effort into managing her secret identity.

HISTORY:
Princess Zarda hailed from the denizens of Utopia Island that were very peaceful and took on the name of Utopians after building what they considered a perfect society free of poverty, injustice, sexual discrimination, war, and crime. They had been experimented upon by the Kree to be powerful beings and normally isolated themselves from humanity. One day, Zarda encountered a shipwrecked sailor named Howard Sheldon. Recovering, he explained to her that he was an American sailor and told her about World War II, which was occurring around at that time. Subsequently, Zarda joined the Golden Agency to help the Allies, where she met Blue Eagle and Professor Imam.

The development of atomic weapons during the war frightened the Utopians, so they decided to leave Earth by converting their city into a starship. Zarda chose to remain on Earth and vowed that she would be an ambassador and spread their ideals. Humanity was less than receptive, but accepted her as a superheroine. She joined Hyperion, Amphibian, Whizzer, Nighthawk, Doctor Spectrum, and Skymax in the Squadron Supreme.

Zarda married Howard, though the fact that he was growing old while her immortality kept her young bothered Zarda greatly. For a time after Howard's death, she grew attracted to an evil Hyperion, unaware that he was an impostor and was responsible for her aged husband's death. When the real Hyperion returned and killed his evil counterpart, Zarda was torn about her actual feelings for the real Hyperion. Eventually, the two began a true romantic relationship. They continued to be on the Squadron Supreme.

During the Exiles' pursuit of Proteus, Zarda joined the team, instead of Hyperion, because Zarda stated that he is much needed on their world. Due to her fighting ability and leadership experience, Zarda helped the team greatly. Once Proteus was defeated, Zarda left the reality-hopping team to go back to her own Earth, and was replaced by Psylocke.

When Reed Richards restored the Multiverse following the Secret Wars, Zarda and Hyperion were the only survivors left of the Squadron Supreme after many members perished presumably due to the force of an ongoing cataclysm of unknown origin which threatened to destroy the Earth. Hyperion told her that there was only time for one person to enter the portal that was used to escape their homeworld's destruction. Zarda, at first, protested against this action; however, Hyperion told her to go and remember their life and team as Zarda entered the portal.

She found herself in the void between realities where she encountered an alternate version of herself who asked her to help heal her; however, Warrior Woman betrayed her and stole her life force and powers, leaving her to die in the Exo-Space. Zarda instead used the last vestiges of her energy to heal herself and arrived in Earth-616. She then focused her energies on finding the woman who had double-crossed her and stole her identity by investigating this new universe's Squadron Supreme, while striking a deal with Daimon Hellstrom to aid her, and fighting The Myriad in the process.
