I'd delay the Godzilla builds, if only because I wanna see Jab build Godzilla-Earth and the City-Mechagodzilla from the new anime movies :)

However, he cannot walk, shifts about at random, and can only spout either his name or something that sounds vaguely like "livin' a lie!", though a few other words have popped out. Only Jimmy Valmer can understand his dialogue.
Disabled (Child)- Children are very short, have tiny arms, and aren't as fast as adults. They can never Intimidate an adult without a weapon, no matter their Presence, and are very lightweight, making them easy to pick up.

Total: Abilities: 10 / Skills: 10--5 / Advantages: 1 / Powers: 27 / Defenses: 18 (61)

-Timmy is basically like Professor X, with some psionic powers.

TOOLSHED (Stan Marsh)
Role:
Main Character, The Leader, The Only Sane Man, Everyday Kid
PL 8 (114)
STRENGTH
2 STAMINA 4 AGILITY 4
FIGHTING 10 DEXTERITY 4
INTELLIGENCE 0 AWARENESS 2 PRESENCE 3

Skills:
Athletics 6 (+8)
Expertise (Singing) 6 (+6)

Expertise (Athlete) 4 (+4)
Expertise (Pee-Wee Hockey Coach) 2 (+2)
Insight 4 (+6)
Investigation 6 (+8)
Perception 4 (+6)
Vehicles 1 (+5)

Advantages:
Improved Critical (Tools), Ranged Attack 4

Powers:
"Golden Rectum of the Gods" Immunity 1 (Bleeding Out The Ass After Eating At Chipotle) [1]

"Tools" (Flaws: Easily Removable) [17]
Variable 4 (28 points)
(Sample Powers: Blast 8, Healing, Permeate)

Offense:
Unarmed +10 (+2 Damage, DC 17)
Blasts +8 (+8 Ranged Damage, DC 23)
Initiative +4

Defenses:
Dodge +12 (DC 22), Parry +10 (DC 20), Toughness +4, Fortitude +5, Will +6

Complications:
Relationship (Wendy Testaberger)- Stan's love for Wendy was once so prominent that her mere appearance could send him into fits of vomiting, often all over her ("Barf is GROSS!"). Eventually he learned to be much more stoic around her, but would still become vastly jealous when she spent time around another (Gregory), or "breaks up" to date someone else (Token). The latter incident left Stan temporarily shattered, descending into becoming a Goth and going on about how miserable life is. Eventually, the two get back together.
Relationship (Kyle)- Stan & Kyle are best friends, and actually get along, unlike most of the others. Though Kyle can be frustrating by refusing to go along with the others.
Relationship (Randy- Father)- Stan is openly frustrated by his stupid, fad-chasing father, and often has to derail his own plans in order to try to keep Randy out of trouble. Randy's obsessions get to Stan more and more with each passing year, and have left him mistrustful of adults in general.
Relationship (Cartman)- Cartman is part of the group, but Stan openly mocks and disrespects his friend. Cartman manages to confess, when Stan goes into Scientology, that "I still hate Kyle more than you."
Relationship (Shelly- Sister)- Shelly is violently-abusive to Stan, often beating him, smashing him into a wall with a piano, or driving over him with a lawnmower. However, he is unwilling to see her mistreated by her adult boyfriend Skyler, and she refuses to allow him to be bullied by others ("That's MY job.").
Relationship (Grandpa)- Stan's Grandpa initially wanted "Billy" to kill him and put an end to his misery. Later, Stan is defensive of his grandfather, who is addicted to foolishly-overspending on low-quality jewelry on the Home Shopping Network, ultimately convincing the network's host to commit suicide on the air.
Relationship (Sparky)- Stan loves his dog Sparky, eventually coming to terms with his dog's homosexuality. He is later grounded by his parents for playing "Red Rocket" with Sparky in front of company, but this is rescinded when it turns out he has no knowledge of sexual education.
---
Responsibility (The Only Sane Man)- The behavior of the other residents in South Park consistently make Stan grip the bridge of his nose and squint his eyes in frustration.
Responsibility (Morals)- Though less self-righteous than Kyle, Stan is prone to soapboxing and lecturing others. He is also outraged when he learns that Scientology is a scam, and goes to get his money back after seeing The Passion of the Christ as a "snuff film". His refusal to vote between a huge turd and a giant douche lead to outrage among the other citizens of South Park, and he only rescinds after realizing that's likely the only choice he's ever going to have in elections.
Responsibility (Animal Lover)- Stan's morality is on display especially when animals are involved. He joins an Anti-Whaling fleet and begins sinking many Japanese whaling vessels (and eventually convinces the Japanese that cows & chickens dropped the Atomic Bombs on Japan, not dolphins & whales like they'd always thought), and gives up all meat when he discovers the truth about what veal is, only rescinding because lack of protein causes tiny vaginas to break out on his skin.
Responsibility (Trends)- Stan often latches onto popular trends, especially if he's afraid of being ostracized like Kyle is for not joining in. He collects Chinpokomon and gladly accepts the "Metrosexual" trend. However, he resisted the High School Musical fad until it was too late.
Responsibility (Cynical Asshole)- Stan eventually grows tired of the monotony of life in South Park- particularly dealing with the same stupid crap all the time. Eventually, this descends into him viewing everything he sees and watches as literal feces ("They're not pieces of shit, Stan! They're penguins!"). A brief measure of excitement comes from the potential of moving, but his parents eventually give in and go back to the same old grind, and so Stan learns to maintain himself with liquor.
---
Enemy (Trent Boyett)- Trent was framed by the boys for setting fires in their preschool classroom, and now seeks to hunt down all four boys. Given that Trent can badly injure dozens of Sixth Graders, this is quite a terrifying predicament.
Enemy (John Edward)- Stan is outraged when he discovers that John Edward is faking people out of money, and ends up getting in a "Biggest Douche in the Universe" award (impressive, considering one of the other candidates was literally a gigantic douche).
Reputation ("Spankin' it, spankin' it; smackety-smack!")- Stan's videos that attempt to raise awareness on certain important subjects often leave him jacking it in San Diego.
Reputation (Inviting Trouble)- Clyde points out that nobody else in school likes Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, because of their consistent tendency to search out trouble, inviting all manner of calamity to South Park, such as when they accidentally called forth an army of destructive giant Guinea Pigs to town.
Addiction (Hoarding)- Stan's locker is considered a concern by Wendy, and even Kyle is mortified when Stan refuses to let go of a moldy sandwhich ("This is just moving a little too fast for me!").
Disabled (Child)- Children are very short, have tiny arms, and aren't as fast as adults. They can never Intimidate an adult without a weapon, no matter their Presence, and are very lightweight, making them easy to pick up.

Total: Abilities: 58 / Skills: 40--20 / Advantages: 5 / Powers: 18 / Defenses: 13 (114)

-In the video game, Stan can "control Tools". He uses Blasts, as well as a Healing move. His Sandblaster can get into forbidden areas (Permeate or something), but only with a proper plug, or the New Kid's asshole.

Defenses:
Dodge +10 (DC 20), Parry +12 (DC 22), Toughness +4, Fortitude +5, Will +6

Complications:
Relationship (Stan)- Wendy loves Stan dearly, but finds his repeated vomiting "gross", and occasionall dumps him for broader horizons. However, she has also proven to be insanely jealous, once having their substitute teacher murdered ("Don't f*ck with me!") because Stan had a crush on her, and got enormous breast implants to one-up BeBe's new boobs.
Relationship (Bebe)- The two are best friends, though Wendy is jealous of the attention Bebe gets once she grows breasts, and later has to wrestle a gun out of her hands for interfering with the sacred List-Making habits of the girls.
Relationship (Gregory)- Wendy is entranced by Gregory's activism, but when Stan proves himself to her (after finding The Clitoris), she replies "Oh, Stan- FUCK Gregory. Fuck him right in the ear!"
Relationship (Token)- The two are together briefly after Wendy breaks up with Stan.
Enemy (Eric Cartman)- Though Wendy once had a temporary attraction to Cartman despite his odious personality, she eventually grew to despise him, ultimately beating him within an inch of his life when he trivialized "Titty Cancer". When Cartman fakes being transgender in order to get his own bathroom, Wendy becomes "Wendyl", seemingly out of spite.
Responsibility (Female)- All females become famished for blowjobs after seeing Broadway musicals, via extremely-subtle subliminal messaging.
Disabled (Child)- Children are very short, have tiny arms, and aren't as fast as adults. They can never Intimidate an adult without a weapon, no matter their Presence, and are very lightweight, making them easy to pick up.

Total: Abilities: 60 / Skills: 28--14 / Advantages: 2 / Powers: 15 / Defenses: 12 (99)

-The video game introduces Wendy as "Call Girl", using Cellphone-based stuff.

Unarmed +12 (+4 Damage, DC 19)
Initiative +10

Defenses:
Dodge +12 (DC 22), Parry +12 (DC 22), Toughness +4, Fortitude +5, Will +4

Complications:
Addiction (Lustiness)- Kenny is extremely eager to have sex, and is a bigger pervert than any of his friends. When he hears the rumor that his girlfriend is a "slut", his reaction is to immediately begin screaming and cheering, running all over the place with glee.
Addiction (Cheesing)- Kenny is briefly addicted to the pee from male cats, which causes him to imagine a paradise filled with Don Felder's Heavy Metal playing, and huge-breasted women everywhere, willing to hang out with him.
Responsibility ("Your Family's POOR, Kenny!")- Kenny lives in a run-down home with his alcoholic, drug-using parents. They eat frozen waffles, pop tarts and "bread sandwiches". This opens him up to the taunts of Cartman.
Relationship (Cartman)- Kenny is often seen as Cartman's "Right Hand Man" in some situations, whereas at other times, Cartman taunts his family's poverty, or randomly spouts "God I hate you, Kenny." Kenny is friends with him, but gladly kicked him out of Coon & Friends, but kept the team name, because he found it "extremely funny" that it "pissed Cartman off beyond belief".
Relationship (Stan & Kyle)- Kenny's other friends and Stan & Kyle. They are frequently shocked and angered by Kenny's deaths, but sometimes get over it.
Secret ("I CAN'T DIE")- Kenny dies constantly and frequently. Unfortunately, however, nobody else ever seems to be aware of this- he simply wakes up in his bed each morning as if nothing had happened. This wears on him emotionally, as he remembers each one of his deaths.
Disabled (Child)- Children are very short, have tiny arms, and aren't as fast as adults. They can never Intimidate an adult without a weapon, no matter their Presence, and are very lightweight, making them easy to pick up.

Total: Abilities: 58 / Skills: 28--14 / Advantages: 7 / Powers: 10 / Defenses: 11 (100)

-Kenny, as Mysterion, is a "Batman" archetype, doing more martial arts stuff. He can turn into Dead Mysterion if killed in a certain way, and gains some healing stuff.

Professor Chaos

PROFESSOR CHAOS (Leopold "Butters" Stotch)
Role:
The Wimpy Kid, The Butt-Monkey
PL 8 (101)
STRENGTH

FIGHTING 10 DEXTERITY 0
INTELLIGENCE 0 AWARENESS -2 PRESENCE 0

Skills:
Expertise (Dancing) 6 (+6)
Expertise (Singing) 4 (+4)
Expertise (Pimp) 4 (+4)
Expertise (Writing) 4 (+4)
Expertise (Art) 6 (+6)
Expertise (Drums) 4 (+4)
Investigation 3 (+1)
Persuasion 2 (+2)
Stealth 1 (+1)

Advantages:
Power Attack, Ranged Attack 8

Powers:
"Special Cape" (Flaws: Removable) [4]
Immunity 5 (Fire Damage) (5 points)

Chaos Blast 8 [16]

Offense:
Unarmed +10 (+4 Damage, DC 19)
Chaos Blast +8 (+8 Ranged Damage, DC 23)
Initiative +2

Defenses:
Dodge +10 (DC 20), Parry +10 (DC 20), Toughness +6, Fortitude +7, Will +4

Complications:
Relationship (Parents)- Butters is very submissive to his parents, always calling his father "sir". In turn, both of them alternately abuse or neglect him. He is frequently grounded for offenses both imagined and serious, like making a "funny face" at his father (his normal face), or accidentally selling his own semen as a sports drink.
Relationship (Grandmother)- Butters is violently and verbally assaulted by his grandmother, who throws homophobic slurs at him, stabs him with a fork, and engages in psychological trauma on a frequent basis. Butters finally gets over the bullying when he realizes that she is empty inside, and that he will no doubt outlive her, and "continue to live" his life as if she's never existed.
Relationship (The Other Kids)- Butters is usually maligned by the other boys, primarily Cartman, who frequently manipulates and tricks Butters. Butters is so eager to have friends that he will still go along with them on their schemes.
Accident (Dancing)- Butters' attempts at dancing often prove disastrous, and have resulted in mass casualties twice. He still has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from the first time.
Responsibility ("Dude, You Don't Shoot a Guy in the DICK")- Butters cannot aim effectively with firearms- all of his shots strike the genitals of men.
Vulnerable (Almonds)- A single almond M&M can send Butters to the hospital.
Disabled (Sphincter Problem)- Butters occasionally wears a diaper to school, owing to problems crapping his pants. He also once wet himself.
Enemy (Coon & Friends)- Butters, in his secret identity as Professor Chaos, opposes The Coon & Friends, and creates "fake news" Facebook posts about them pooping in each other's mouths, thus harming the potential for a Netflix franchise (even though Netflix will simply place orders for full seasons of a show from an over-the-phone interview).
Disabled (Child)- Children are very short, have tiny arms, and aren't as fast as adults. They can never Intimidate an adult without a weapon, no matter their Presence, and are very lightweight, making them easy to pick up.

Total: Abilities: 40 / Skills: 34--17 / Advantages: 9 / Powers: 20 / Defenses: 15 (101)

-Butters had the first Alter Ego of the series as "Professor Chaos", who tried to sow disorder among humanity. Unfortunately, most of his ideas were pretty weak (switching the orders in a restaurant). He would recreate the identity when fighting The Four Ninjas, and continued on when the boys created superhero personas- he would engage in the creation of "Fake News" on Facebook by trying to convince Netflix that Coon & Friends enjoyed crapping in each others' mouths, hoping to ruin their chances of a franchise.

And that's finally it for South Park builds! My thanks to everyone who was commenting, and for everyone who was patient while I did almost three weeks for a show that many don't watch :). Next up... four days of weird stuff!

Well, South Park was meant to go for a couple of days more, but the occasional slow day (or me realizing that 5 low-tier characters in a day wasn't going to cut it) sped up the timeline by a couple of days. Then I realized that March had *31* days in it, and not *30*. When you plan these things out as far ahead as I do, that can screw you up- I'd already written down when I was gonna post stuff. IN PEN!! That would screw up EVERYTHING if I started posting them early, "blacking out" the names of things I'd already posted!

So it's gonna be four days of assorted stuff to fill the space:
* One minor-league, forgotten Fighting Game.
* One set of builds I found written in 2010-ish, but never posted! SECOND EDITION, even!
* A Marvel Jobber Group, posted from RA to Echoes, since there's like 30 names, and it bugs me to see them pop up again and again in my Archives :).
* A couple of old builds from the Atomic Think Tank, transported over here, just in case GR ever nukes that old board.

So have fun with the randomness!!

After that, we start Marvel- The Letter "H" from "The List" on April 1st! Followed by The Legion of Super-Heroes! Which will take the better part of a month (3 weeks for the team, plus the Heroes of Lallor, Legion of Super-Villains and FINALLY... builds for The Fatal Five).

Aggressors of Dark Kombat

Post by Jabroniville »

Image

AGGRESSORS OF DARK KOMBAT:
-This ludicrously-named title was a Fighting Game released under the name Tsuuki GANGAN Koushinkyoku (translates as Thrilling Intense Match), but was given a Mortal Kombat-inspired name on its overseas translation. It's a Fighting Game for the Neo-Geo system, but unlike most of the others, is not made by SNK- they merely published the game by Alpha Denshi Corp. It looks very... Neo-Geo-ish, with gigantic, beefy sprites in big, bright colors, but the characters are among the most plain I've ever seen in a video game. These guys make the Virtua Fighter cast look like Street Fighter II, and are so ordinary that 90% of the Mooks in Final Fight look more befitting a Fighting Game character. At least when King of Fighters threw people out there in their school uniforms, the kids had unique looks, cool jackets, detailed pants, etc. Here, we just get "guy in orange".

As a Fighter, the rules are a bit different- the battle is a single round, and only two buttons are used for fighting- Punch & Kick. Most-different, however, is the fact that your battles take place in THREE DIMENSIONS- characters can move up, down, diagonally, etc., across a screen much like they would in Final Fight or another Beat 'Em Up like that. This necessitates a "Jump" button being added in as well. So it's basically like if Double Dragon was a one-on-one Fighting Game, rather than a Fatal Fury-type thing.

Also different is a grappling system, set off when two characters strike each other at the same time. To win the grapple, you have to out-button-mash your opponent. It's apparently a pretty grapple-heavy system. The spectactors who watch your fights will occasionally throw in weapons, such as shovels or molotov cocktails, also changing the course of the battle. Your "Crazy" Bar fills up over the course of a bout, and when your opponent's health-bar is at its lowest, you can hit an Insta-Kill attack that tends to be pretty goofy.

There is no "Final Boss", exactly- your last opponent is simply your rival. And despite the game being released fairly late in the game, there are only EIGHT playable fighters, and one of them is Fuuma Kotaro, the "Ken" of World Heroes! The legacy of this game is very small- Kisarah Westfield appears as a playable character in Neo*Geo Battle Coliseum. That's really it.

So Why Aggressors of Dark Kombat?:
-Well, you see, I was thinking "I wanna stat up that weird old lady, and that goofy-looking muscular broad", and so set to work. Two or three builds in, I was like "wait, these guys look more plain than I was expecting". So I check Google, and of course the game I was thinking of was Power Instinct, not Aggressors of Dark Kombat, which has a more distinctive name, but less impact on Fighting Games in general. But I was already 2-3 builds in, and it was too late to make all that work be for nothing, so... enjoy these accidental builds!!

Power Levels & Abilities:
-The characters of Aggressors of Dark Kombat are too lame to deserve great stats, but even bad martial artists can hit PL 7. They all have grappling capability, plus stuff like Accurate & Power Attack, along with more Ranged Attack than is normal, owing to their ability to throw molotov cocktails and the like.

Jab will not be surprised to know that I am more excited to read about ADK than I was about South Park. :D

This was one of my "grail games" for a long time because the PS2 compilation that included it currently goes for hundreds of dollars on Ebay. Then it was released as a digital version for PS4 for 5 bucks. Finally playing it, I was pretty underwhelmed; the SamSho clone Ninja Master's is a much better game.

Still, fighting game builds are fighting game builds, so I'm looking forward to this.

(And hoping that maybe Power Instinct will still come somewhere down the line.)

Power Instinct is cool, yeah. I'd love to see builds for that series at some point, since I always like to see fighting game builds.
