and driven off nothing! KC (and his Sunshine Band) was downed shortly, but after Godzilla got magnetized (SCIENCE!) and pulled Mechagodzilla to the ground he resumed helping him, tackling MG repeatedly before Godzilla twisted the robot's head off.
Then sleepy time.
Then sleepy time.
Re: King Caesar
He's inspired by the shiisaa which really can be found all over Okinawa. There's a very funny Azumanga Daioh! strip about them.Jabroniville wrote: ↑Sat Jun 09, 2018 8:24 pm
-King Caesar showed up in one film, fighting Mechagodzilla for a while, before being driven off- Godzilla is forced to finish the battle on his own. He's called forth by the Azumi family of Okinawa to protect them, though he's not one of Godzilla's more memorable allies, disappearing after his early showing. He's kinda... silly-looking, what with his fuzzy coat and lizard-like skin. I'd say he's the silliest-looking one of Godzilla's foes or allies by a ways. He reappears in Final Wars, and is handily beaten.

-Ebirah's a one-shot monster who only showed up in one film, and then again in Final Wars (where he jobbed simultaneously with Hedorah, another one-shot '60s foe, to NORMAL HUMANS). He was a giant sea monster that threatened some people, fought Godzilla, ran away, then fought him again. In the last battle, he got his claws ripped off, and he fled again. Not much of a showing for him. He's not that creative a design either- just a big giant Lobster-thing with no super-weapons (aside from HUGE claws, but it's no larger than a normal Lobster's by proportion). It's no wonder he vanished, while characters like King Ghidorah lived on.
-Ebirah is most-unimpressive for a Kaiju, being "merely" PL 13 in every way but his Area Attacks, which are still PL 14. This effectively makes him much weaker than standard giant monsters, but still scary for human, superhuman, and military threats, since he can squash groups in 60-foot bursts with one swipe of his giant Claws. He can toss 6,000-ton rocks, live underwater, and he's kinda sneaky, but he gets the most out of being under the waves (doesn't affect his PL caps, but he's got Favoured Environment for it). Godzilla or Rodan would make short work of him, but he can be pretty scary if he needs to be.

Re: Jab's Builds! (Fighter's History! Karnov! GODZILLAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!)
He jobbed to normal humans, but not with Hedorah to normal humans.....to Godzilla sure.
Unless there's some extended cut where they both job, which would explain that scene during the credits of Final Wars that shows Hedorah rampaging in a factory setting.
edit: man, I really don't want to be "That Guy" but I'm seriously coming off that way
but I always had a soft spot for Ebirah. He's one of my earliest memories of a Godzilla movie probably alongside King Kong and Song of Godzilla. Man UHF tv was awesome when I was a kid.
And you always ALWAYS saw Godzilla vs the Sea Monster on TBS growing up.

Re: Jab's Builds! (Fighter's History! Karnov! GODZILLAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!)
It's also worth noting that Godzilla vs the Sea Monster was originally going to be a king Kong movie instead, but was switched to Godzilla when the American distributors who had ownership of Kong's likeness at the time (Rankin-Bass I do believe) were unimpressed with the idea.
Toho wasting nothing (seriously, they save every idea. Frankenstein Conquers the World is a reworked Frankenstein vs Godzilla idea) and just subbed Godzilla in, explaining alot of things there.
Godzilla being fascinated by Daio or getting revived by lightning or being unable to breathe underwater were all Kong-ish traits.
Hell, his fights with the giant condor and the planes were tributes to the original RKO Kong movie, which is INSANELY popular in Japan.

Ebirah, Daikondoro, Kumonga, and Minilla are the lowest tier for any of the daikaijū in the Toho canon. Somebody’s got to be on the bottom rung...
But, well, Ebirah is still a 50 meter tall and weighs 23,000 metric ton crustacean. That might not be too daunting for someone like Godzilla, but it’s sure good enough to level the JDSF.

Ebirah may be longer than I and much, much heavier but I am sure I will prevail!Batgirl III wrote: ↑Sat Jun 09, 2018 11:21 pm

Re: Jab's Builds! (Fighter's History! Karnov! GODZILLAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!)
Here's my take on the relative power levels of the various "major" daikaijū in the Toho monster movies.
- Tier 0
- Kaijū who are primarily animalistic in their fighting. All Kaijū are dangerous but Tier 0 are the least dangerous, unless in superior numbers such as the kamacuras species, and therefore can be fended off or killed by standard military forces.
- Oodako ( King Kong vs. Godzilla, 1962)
- Ebirah (Ebirah, Horror of the Deep, 1966)
- Kamacuras (Son of Godzilla, 1967)
- Kumonga ([Son of Godzilla, 1967)
- Minilla (Son of Godzilla, 1967)
- Ganimes (Space Amoeba, 1970)
- Gezora (Space Amoeba, 1970)
- Godzillasaurus (Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, 1991)
- Kamoebas (Space Amoeba, 1970)
- Tier 1
- Kaijū that are more strategic in their thinking, thus making them a step above Tier 0. This isn't saying much as they're still primarily tooth and claw fighters. Best dealt with using "super weapons," although military armed only conventional weapons can handle them with risk.
- Baragon (Frankenstein vs. Baragon, 1965)
- Gaira (War of the Gargantuas, 1966)
- Sanda (War of the Gargantuas, 1966)
- Gorosaurus (King Kong Escapes, 1967)
- Zilla (Godzilla: Final Wars, 2004)
- Tier 2
- Kaijū who are much more strategic thinkers and usually tend to be more durable then previous classes. Some Kaijū of the Tier 2 category also tend to have more in the way of "super powers."
- Anguirus (Godzilla Raids Again, 1955)
- Rodan (Rodan, 1956)
- Varan (Varan, 1958)
- King Kong (King Kong vs. Godzilla, 1962)
- Manda (Atragon, 1963)
- Titanosaurus (Terror of Mechagodzilla, 1975)
- Megaguirus (Godzilla vs. Megaguirus, 2004)
- Tier 3
- Kaijū whose abilities and strength put them above the previous classes. Kaijū in this typing tend to be stronger and much more intelligent fighters. Easily capable of destroying a major city by themselves. Virtually immune to conventional weapons and often capable of resisting "super weapons."
- Godzilla (Showa) (Godzilla, 1954)
- Mothra (Mothra, 1961)
- King Ghidorah (Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, 1964)
- Gigan (Godzilla vs. Gigan, 1972)
- Megalon (Godzilla vs. Megalon, 1973)
- King Caesar (Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, 1974)
- MechaGodzilla (Showa) (Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, 1974)
- Biollante (Godzilla vs. Biollante, 1989
- Battra (Battra, 1992)
- Mothra Leo (Rebirth of Mothra, 1996)
- Dagahra (Rebirth of Mothra II, 1997)
- Orga (Godzilla 2000: Millennium, 1999)
- Monster X (Godzilla: Final Wars, 2004)
- Tier 4
- The penultimate category of Kaijū . Kaijū in this classification are listed here due to their power to destroy not only an entire city, but entire continents, possibly the planet. When other Kaijū attack Tier 4 Kaijū , they usually attack in numbers.
- Godzilla (Heisei) (The Return of Godzilla, 1984)
- Godzilla Fillius (Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, 2017)
- Desghidorah (Rebirth of Mothra, 1996)
- MechaGodzilla (Heisei) (Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, 1993)
- Destoroyah (Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, 1995)
- Grand King Ghidorah (Rebirth of Mothra III, 1998)
- Hedorah (Godzilla vs. Hedorah., 1971)
- Tier 5
- The most powerful and strongest of Kaijū . World killers.
- Godzilla (Millennium) (Godzilla 2000: Millennium, 1999)
- MechaGodzilla Kiryu (Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, 2002)
- Keizer Ghidorah (Godzilla: Final Wars, 2004)
- SpaceGodzilla (Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, 1994)
- Tier 6
- Put your head between your legs and kiss your ass "Goodbye."
- Godzilla Earth (Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, 2017)

Godzilla 2000 so high because of the spiral beam being his go to beam attack?

He’s probably the weakest in that tier, but I’m also trying to account for Godzilla’s “plot armor.” He always triumphs in the end.
