Enemy/Motivation (Vengeance Upon Sub-Zero)- Sub-Zero was thought to be the killer of Scorpion's family, and thus earned his vengeance. Scorpion killed the original Sub-Zero in the first Mortal Kombat tournament. His emotions towards the new one, the first's younger brother, are mixed.
Enemy (Quan-Chi)- Quan-Chi is the true murderer of Scorpion and his family.
Enemy (The Lin Kuei)- Scorpion hates the Lin Kuei in general- his costume is meant as a parody of theirs.
Prejudice (Skeleton)- Scorpion has the face of a monstrous skeleton, and could not pass for an ordinary human without a mask.

Total: Abilities: 68 / Skills: 64--32 / Advantages: 20 / Powers: 37 / Defenses: 12 (169)

"COME 'ERE!!!":
-There are many awesome characters in the Mortal Kombat series, but only one can be the best. And that one is Scorpion. You may disagree, but you are wrong and should deal with it. The funny thing is... his story is a bit of a mess- it seemed like a simple "You killed me; now my ghost seeks revenge!" story, but it soon got mixed up with brothers, betrayals, false pretenses, and more- Scorpion had the most tenuous grip on the overall story of any major character, and thus spent ages just kind of farting around with no purpose, changing alliances depending on the game. He's really the most poorly-written character in the series... but he's also basically Inigo Montoya Ghost Rider Ninja, so he remains the most popular character in the entire series.

Scorpion's Kharacterization:
-Scorpion is a classic archetype- the Vengeful Ghost, hunting Sub-Zero for the murder of himself and his family, and thus acts as a fairly Neutral character- he's not on the side of the heroes at all, and is out for himself, plain and simple. He's arguably the most popular character in the entire series due to the combination of his awesome origin & concept, his cool appearance (though a Hellacious Red probably would have been more fitting than Yellow for his uniform), and of course, his WICKED KOOL Special Moves- Ed Boon voices "COME 'ERE!" and "GET OVER HERE!" while THROWING A HARPOON into the other guy, then DRAGGING their stunned body towards him for a free (and TOASTY!) uppercut. Even Ed Boon admits that Scorpion is his favourite MK character, and that no game is komplete without him (which begs the question as to why they initially kept him out of MK 3). How is this guy NOT the greatest fighting game character ever?

-Funnily enough, Scorpion & Sub-Zero were made into Shang Tsung's minions in the movie, explained away super-quickly as Mind Control ("sworn enemies, now made slaves to my will")- this is a pretty good role for them, though, as they lead to an AWESOME pair of fights (I didn't even mind seeing my favourite lose to my least-favourite, because Movie Cage was awesome and used a shield as a melee weapon), and "Colour Switch Guys" make decent Evil Minions. His Spear is shown as a weird Snake Thing that forces itself out of his palm in a gross visual, and acts as a more generic Blast... at least it would have, had it EVER HIT, but it uses "Comic Book Bladed Weapon Theory", where it's Sharpness is inversely proportional to its Accuracy.

Original Kontinuity:
-Scorpion was once the human known as Hanzo Hasashi, a ninja who was murdered by the Lin Kuei assassin Sub-Zero. Killing him in the first tournament, he was shocked to find a NEW Sub-Zero competing in the second- he travelled to Outworld in order to confront this man, who turned out to be the younger brother of the man he killed. When he witnessed Sub-Zero sparing a defeated opponent, he realized this could not be the man he knew- he instead decided to protect him. This came in handy during MK3, when Scorpion walked free on Earth due to the Netherrealm's invasion of Earthrealm, and simply joined up with Shao Kahn's forces- upon seeing Sub-Zero fighting on behalf of Earth, Scorpion switched sides.

-In Mortal Kombat 4, he was fooled by Quan Chi into thinking that Sub-Zero had murdered his wife and son, and fought to kill him- he only learned the ruse at the end, and dragged Quan Chi into Netherrealm, where he tortured him for years. The remaining games are focused on this blood feud, as Scorpion even gets empowered by the Elder Gods in order to fight the sorcerer. In MK: Armageddon, the Elder Gods resurrect Scorpion and his fallen ninja clan as hellspawned warriors- enraged by what he sees as a betrayal, Scorpion instead turns on his former masters, and decides to murder their two champions, Taven and Daegon. In the end of this continuity, he is killed by Sub-Zero.

New Kontinuity:
-In the new continuity, Scorpion and his family were murdered by Quan Chi, who merely framed Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei. Quan Chi later directs Scorpion against Sub-Zero repeatedly, though Raiden promises that if the Lin Kuei is spared, then his clan will be returned to live. However, at the last moment, Quan Chi shows him the images of his wife and son's death at Sub-Zero's hands, causing his head to spark aflame with pure rage- he murders a helpless Sub-Zero, reneging on his deal with Raiden, and falls into despair. He ends up fighting the new Sub-Zero in the variant of MK II, but is beaten and realizes this is a new man. He is a minor character, however, and disappears from the narrative, still loyal to Quan Chi.

-In Mortal Kombat X, he and Jax are resurrected into human form by Raiden, and he becomes Hanzo Hasashi once more. He also becomes the trainer and guardian of Kenshi's son Takeda, forming a new Shirai Ryu clan around him. He even learns the truth about Quan Chi's deception, swearing revenge on his old ally, and forming an alliance with Sub-Zero. Finally, he invades the Special Forces camp when they capture Quan Chi, beats everyone who tries to stop him, spears the sorcerer, then decapitates him, finally ending his Roaring Rampage of Revenge. However, his actions allow Quan Chi to resurrect Shinnok, setting up the Endgame of MK X.

-Scorpion & Sub-Zero take part in the "Lin Kuei" subplot in MK 11, taking on Frost & Cyrax in their desire to build Kronika a cybernetic ninja army. They beat the villains, then Noob Saibot & Sektor, finally joining the others as backgrounders. However, a past version of Scorpion (still a revenant) is brought forth by Kronika's time-quake, and promptly joins the villainess with the promise of his family's restoration. Here, he becomes a glorified Mook, getting beaten by Liu Kang or Kung Lao, then Jade. However, the elder Hanzo is poisoned by D'Vorah's pincers, and dies in the arms of the revenant, telling him that "Shirai Ryu warriors are defined by their heart, not blood"- this causes the early Scorpion to turn back to the side of good, hilariously circling his never-ending "Heel/Face-Turn" stuff AGAIN.

Kombat Stats:
-Scorpion is an elite, dangerous warrior, who would easily hold his own in the Street Fighter or Marvel Universes as well. Despite being kinda-Undead, he's still vulnerable to poisons, nut-punches and assorted other Fortitude Effects (and can even throw up!), so he's still got a Fortitude Save. Otherwise, he's effectively like Sub-Zero but with some other attacks (the Spear is a mini-Blast combined with Move Object & a Stunning Affliktion) and traits.

Re: Jab’s Builds (Liu Kang! Kung Lao! Raiden! Stryker!)

I remember in 6th grade one of my friends was totally trying to convince me that nobody in Mortal Kombat's story had actual powers, that they were all tricks and illusions and such.

He tried telling me that Scorpion's flame breath was actually a flame thrower built into his mask (the skullface being a mask), which led me to continually argue the point with him over and over again.

And what about Goro? explain that one.

He never did.

Enemy (Scorpion)- Scorpion killed Sub-Zero's brother in the first Mortal Kombat tournament.
Involuntary Transformation (Frozen)- If Sub-Zero attempts to Freeze an already-frozen opponent, he will instead suffer it's effects himself.
Relationship (Smoke)- Sub-Zero views Smoke almost like an older brother. Smoke's transformation into a Cyborg drives him.

Total: Abilities: 72 / Skills: 56--28 / Advantages: 21 / Powers: 28 / Defenses: 12 (161)

Sub-Zero The Second:
-The Sub-Zero who's appeared in most of the games is actually the younger brother of the one from Mortal Kombat I, who was slain fighting Scorpion, who blamed him for his own murder. He & Scorpion were a neat (but not unique) trick in the first game, being palette swaps of each other, allowing the same actor in the same costume to play both characters. They just alternated their Special Moves (making them as different as the entire rest of the cast, who all had the same basic moves anyways) and filled a roster of seven guys with two for the price of one (the actor even played Kano, too!). Capcom did the same thing with Ryu & Ken, not to mention Billy & Jimmy Lee, Mario & Luigi and however many other games were out there. Of course, as we'd discover, they'd kinda overdo the whole "Palette Swap Ninja" thing, starting by adding Reptile as a Secret Character in MK I, then adding a never-ending supply of colour-coded ninja baddies in every single game. And of course, Sub-Zero is still famous for the infamous "Spine Rip" Fatality, being shown on the news and in the Senate as an example of how horrible video games had now become. And IT. WAS. AWESOME.

Original Kontinuity:
-The first Sub-Zero is believed to have killed Scorpion's family, and so Scorpion offed him. The second Sub-Zero (formerly called "Tundra") took up the cowl to do his own thing. Scorpion hunts him in the second MK tournament, but discovers his innocence and instead decides to protect him. Sub-Zero and Smoke, his partner, leave for home having assisted Earthrealm's heroes against Shao Kahn, but failing in their mission to execute Shang Tsung.

-In Mortal Kombat 3, Sub-Zero II shifted into a shirtless, maskless guy in a ridiculously '90s-looking costume, which thankfully got dropped because it was as dated as anything in Mortal Kombat. He even sorta did this in the movies, with the first one being killed in a cool fight by Liu Kang (killed by "that which gives life", as his unbeatable Cold Field Aura got a bucket of water thrown into it, which turned into a deathsickle and impaled him), and the second doing some awesome stuff for his ONE FREAKING SCENE (seriously- Scorpion & Sub-Zero got all of five minutes of screen time and then left forever, without having any other effect on the plot).

-MK 3 features Sub-Zero having quit the Lin Kuei once they started cyberizing their warriors for battle- he resists their command to do so, and is thus hunted by Sektor and Cyrax, as well as a forcibly-cyberized Smoke. His soul spared by Shao Kahn's invasion, he fights on behalf of Earthrealm, while also fighting off three cybernetic assassins. By the story's end, he gets Smoke to regain his human spirit, and the two defeat Sektor & Cyrax.

-MK 4 sees Sub-Zero return to his original uniform (the redesign did not go over well; in-story, he decides to honor his dead brother), but he has to fight a newly-aggressive Scorpion, who's being manipulated by new character Quan Chi. However, the two come to terms in the end, and both survive. He spends Deadly Alliance deposing Sektor as the head of the Lin Kuei, and takes on the student Frost. His interactions with his student would dominate his story in later games, as she proved arrogant and uncontrollable, and both learned they were descended from an ancient Cryomancer race.

New Kontinuity:
-The second version of Sub-Zero follows much the same arc as the first- Bi-Han is killed, and his brother takes up his role in the second tournament. He searches for Bi-Han's killed, only to witness the cyberization of the Lin Kuei, and fights them when he refuses the same fate. However, he is eventually captured and turned into Cyber Sub-Zero, fighting on behalf of Shao Kahn. Eventually, his programming is removed, and he fights Kahn's forces. He discovers that Noob Saibot is a wraith of his older brother, and defeats him before being killed himself by Queen Sindel, along with most of the other Earthrealm fighters. He is resurrected by Quan Chi as a revenant, but is restored by Mortal Kombat X, where he and Hanzo "Scorpion" Hasashi form an alliance after some difficulty. He attacks and beats Cassie Cage's team in a test set up by Johnny, but assists them later when they are captured by Kotal Kahn's forces- the Lin Kuei effectively forming a "Big Damn Heroes" moment that chases the forces of Outworld back to their own realm. Scorpion & Sub-Zero take part in the "Lin Kuei" subplot in MK 11, taking on Frost & Cyrax in their desire to build Kronika a cybernetic ninja army. They beat the villains, then Noob Saibot & Sektor, finally joining the others as backgrounders.

Sub-Zero's Stats:
-Sub-Zero is an elite Kombatant, able to match Liu Kang or anybody else on the main roster. He's also pricey, given his Super-Heroic array of moves. His "Freeze" attack is hard to figure out, since it can Paralyze the enemy, but only for a short period of time (not quite "Instant Recovery" because otherwise Subby couldn't hit the guy after Freezing him, nor "Concentration" since he can still use his other moves- I basically just invented a Random Recovery Flaw for it).

MY WRECK-IT RALPH 2 REVIEW:

Wreck It Ralph 2 is solid. Not amazing. It will sadly probably be dated in three years with all the references- it's basically non-stop "HEY YOU KNOW THIS MODERN THING????" It treats, like... flying by a bunch of birds tweeting with a Twitter logo above them as a witty thing (to be fair, there were some laughs in the theatre). There are so many IMMEDIATELY relevant references that it has none of the charm of the first movie's '80s video game characters. I mean, how many times have you seen gags about "_____ becomes a goofy meme?". There's like... 18 jokes like that, here.

Part of my issue is that the central theme of the movie- Ralph feeling bad because Vanellope is bored and wants to experience new things, while he's into the same old routine- doesn't feel strong enough to justify the sequel.

As expected, the Princesses scene that dominated most of the later trailers was the vast majority of their time on film, reducing them to a mere cameo- they did have a bit that wasn't in the trailer, AND a scene near the end, so at least that's not all of it. They manage to give each one about one or two lines of their own (I swear Jodi "Ariel" Benson gets the most to do). Oddly, Merida's line is different from the famous gibberish in the trailer. Their bits ARE the best parts of the movie (such as Vanellope mentioning her parental situation), and makes me realize that Disney is sitting on a literal goldmine of All The Money, Ever should they actually make a REAL Princess Crossover movie. I'm almost thankful they respect their brand enough not to do that (they're so careful that this is the first time the Princesses have EVER spoken to each other in any official context- the Princess line actually enforces rules that they can't even look at each other).

Gal Gadot's Shank and the trend-jumping internet icon Yesss are our major new characters, but neither feels that important to the plot in the end (they're not even in the final battle!). They have great looks, but aren't really compelling- Shank acts tough but is immediately close pals with a little girl, so her character loses the "edge" immediately, and kind of exists just to give some good advice. Yesss is a good parody of trendiness in general (she's almost bored with everything; she seems to chase only "Likes"; she looks like a distillation of every female cartoon character of the past 8 years into one person).

Solid "what you see here will pay off later"- like how I noticed in Who Framed Roger Rabbit with them showing off all of the Toon Gags an hour before Eddie has to use them to save his life. The Search guy (Alan Tudyk, of course), the "Make Cash Playing Video Games" guy and others all pay off later and are instrumental to certain things, so they're not just pulled out of the movie's ass. They didn't really show up enough to be worth toys, though- the big "Multi-Toy Set" features them plus the "Dark Web" guy, and none of them are memorable enough for me to bother remembering their names- each has about as much screen-time as Oaken in Frozen.

But man... I'm almost shocked Jane Lynch & Jack McBrayer even SHOWED UP for this one- I swear they only get 2-3 lines more than any of the PRINCESSES got. That's some epic "you're not needed for the sequel".

Stay for the ending, definitely. It's an old gag, but a good one :). The mid-trailer scene has a funny comment about lying trailers, too (ironic, because both Ralph movies are among the most dishonest trailers you can find).

Builds? I... I'll do some, maybe in a month or so. Really, the only one I can think of building would be Shank- literally every other important character is either a backgrounder or someone from the first movie. Maybe the end boss thing.

I felt pretty much the same about the movie. I did love the princess scenes and Vanellope’s anti-princess song was great but overall you’re right it will be forgotten pretty quickly I think.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero are probably tied for the most iconic Mortal Kombat characters. Of the two, I definitely favor Scorpion, but both of them are cool in their own right (if you'll pardon the pun).

Scorpion I felt somewhat bad for. Sub-Zero always seemed to have something to do, either as the renegade Lin Kuei who refused to follow his clan's decent into further evil, as a lone "Batman"-style hero or as the guy trying to reform the clan. Scorpion had his revenge story, but after he got said revenge and made peace with Sub-Zero, he kind of floundered with all of the retcons involving Quan-Chi, his constant flip-flopping, etc.

It's especially bad when other media uses the character, because he almost always becomes a pure villain, when it was the first Sub-Zero who was the bad guy. Scorpion is like the love child of Ryu Hayabusa, Ghost Rider, Inigo Montoya and the Crow. But since many of the villains in MK are rather lame, I guess they felt making Scorpion a villain was a logical move.

Personally, after making peace with Sub-Zero II, I would have preferred Scorpion realizing that revenge really didn't help his situation and work on a redemption arc. Have him and Sub-Zero II work as bash-brothers with him being more of a mentor and trying to re-gain his humanity. You can't tell me that the idea of the two of them fighting back to back and kicking ass together wouldn't be awesome. And with Sub-Zero II on the run, Scorpion has plenty of reasons to fight the Lin Kuei, leading to more ninja fights.

Enemy (Lin Kuei)- Sub-Zero's former masters now hunt him down, and his enemies include Sektor & Cyrax, and his old friend, Smoke.

Total: Abilities: 82 / Skills: 56--28 / Advantages: 22 / Powers: 34 / Defenses: 9 (175)

-Cyber Sub-Zero is a Secret Character in the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot, completing the roster of Lin Kuei Cyborgs. You can fight him in Story Mode, so I guess it's "Kanonical" that Sub-Zero gets kidnapped and transformed by his evil masters at some point. He keeps plenty of Sub-Zero's own powers, but also adds "Ice Parry", which allows him an Aura Freeze, but only if he's Frozen himself, leaving him vulnerable to attack- so he's Immobile (a -2 Flaw if there ever was one) but has some boosted Protection (otherwise that power would SUCK).

I just really hope when Jab gets to Quan Chi, he throws out how for his most evil act was that 70+ page 'The Bride vs Michael Myers' topic over at HC.

Total: Abilities: 56 / Skills: 60--30 / Advantages: 20 / Powers: 18 / Defenses: 12 (136)

Reptile- The Original Secret Kharacter:
-It's hard to imagine Fighting Games without secret characters, and Reptile was indeed the first, and one of the best, because it was just so unique. Of course, he's just the third of what came to be 1,475 different palette swaps, but hey, that's not his fault. Until then, no Fighter had ever included a secret guy, and so it was pretty influential the way this guy would drop hints about how to reach him- you had to beat the enemy in a Double Flawless Victory in The Pit stage, then you would fight Reptile in his own stage- the bottom of The Pit, complete with the severed heads of the Midway Development Team! He would fight using Scorpion & Sub-Zero's moves, but be BLINDINGLY fast, and thus one of the worst opponents you could face.

-Reptile would appear in most of the other MK games, having become semi-iconic himself- I thought it was SO COOL how the "Secret Guy" of MK I would show up in MK II as a regular cast member, especially once they added MORE secret guys to THAT game. By MK 3, he was really "Just Another Guy", and not too important to the overall story- he was very self-focused with his Saurian race... and they never quite explained why he dressed EXACTLY LIKE SCORPION & SUB-ZERO. He fought as Shang Tsung's protector, and hailed from Outworld, but his really never quite mattered to anything.

-In the early games, he appears to be a regular human guy, but reveals a reptilian head in MK II for his Fatalities. Later on, he adds more and more reptilian qualities, as the CGI made things easier to pull off. His blood is red in the first two games, turns green for the third, but then goes back and forth repeatedly, as the game's bloodiness makes such changes difficult (for example, bloody stumps and body parts tend to be red whether or not Reptile bleeds green in the game). He's almost comically useless to the story in the 2011 remakes, as he's just "Outworld Goon #57", uselessly allying with Shang Tsung and losing in nearly all of his canon fights.

-His appearance in the MK movie is one of the wierdest, as he shows up as a tiny lizard with super-dated CGI effects (very little from that era looks good in retrospect) who spits acid and follows the heroes around, then OUT OF NOWHERE gets kicked into a statue, magically turning into a human who looks just like Scorpion & Sub-Zero (and the "Announcer" who had NEVER SAID ANYTHING BEFORE THIS says "Reptile"). I mean, what the hell? Fans of the game (the movie's only real audience) figured out pretty quickly what was going on, but I can't imagine a non-fan having ANY clue what the hell all that was. Then again, the fact that he dresses just like the other Lin Kuei makes absolutely no sense either, as he has no real link to them, and is instead a slave of Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung.

Kombat Kapabilities:
-He's a bit more versatile than alot of MK guys, thanks to his weird attacks (in MK I, he used Scorpion & Sub-Zero's attacks and walked with INSANE speed that made him nigh-unstoppable, but he got original stuff by MK II). As a less-important character, he's stuck being worse than Scorpion & Sub-Zero, but he's still good enough to hang with anyone else. He has a nasty Acid Attack (outside of the games, you could easily boost this with Secondary Effect), and can turn Sorta-Invisible (you can see his body's silhouette most of the time). He's cheaper than his compatriots because he's got nothing to match the Spear or Freeze, but he's stealthier and has more Survival capabilities.

-Reptile's Invisibility is a bit tricky- in-game, he vanishes utterly, and can attack with his normal methods. In M&M terms, this is a HUGE advantage, yet only costs 1 points thanks to it's Flaws). It's a bit strange, because it's not such a huge advantage in the video games- this is mainly because in the games, if Reptile's invisible, THE PLAYER cannot see THE CHARACTER, making it very hard to time and place your moves. Also, he's kinda gotta just stand there and do his motion to "activate" it (Standard Action instead of the usual Free for Concealment). He can also do extra damage while Invisible, which I think is more easily explained by the fact that you can do Power Attacks more often while your opponent doesn't know where you are.

Yeah, Vanellope’s song was probably the most hilariously f-Ed up things I have ever seen Disney done.

Dodge +13 (DC 23), Parry +13 (DC 23), Toughness +4, Fortitude +7, Will +5

Komplications:
Relationship (Sub-Zero II)- Smoke & Sub-Zero are/were close friends.
Responsibility (Once a Man)- Smoke is the Lin Kuei Cyborg who most hates his new kondition, and seeks to change it. He will likely attempt to rebel at his programming to hunt down Sub-Zero.
Reputation (Leeroy Jenkins)- Smoke is prone to throwing down at the nearest opportunity, even rushing headlong into dangerous situations.
Enemy (Noob Saibot)- Noob has taken control of Cyber-Smoke, and uses him for his own means.

Total: Abilities: 70 / Skills: 58--29 / Advantages: 19 / Powers: 37 / Defenses: 13 (168)

Original Kontinuity:
-By the time Smoke rolled around, we'd gotten tired enough of the Lin Kuei Palette Swaps to not really care (Mortal Kombat II's additions made FIVE of them in total). His only deal was that he was super-fast and hard to hit, and had Scorpion's moves (essentially EXACTLY like Reptile, but a plain grey colour scheme and little puffs of smoke coming off of him). He has an odd history, mostly centred around the second Sub-Zero: He's a Czech citizen and friend of Sub-Zero II, who wasn't doing much of anything- he was assigned to aid Sub-Zero in killing Shao Kahn, but didn't factor much into the story of the second game.

-In Mortal Kombat 3, he rejected the Lin Kuei's attempts to turn all of their agents into cyborgs, but unlike his friend Sub-Zero, he was captured and transformed against his will. He was still a palette swap, but this time of the Cyborgs, and he was now purple in color. He did a "Deathlok" type "I was Onccccccce a Man" thing and hated the transformation, but was forced to hunt down Sub-Zero. Not one of the more inspired MK characters (though he's apparently quite popular), but it'd get much worse.

-He appeared in one more MK game, having been deactivated during MK 3 and taken to Outworld as a trophy in the interim. Noob Saibot discovers and reactivates him, then uses him as an ally to forge an army of cyber-demons- his role in the Armageddon game is more vague, as he's just Filler. He was in the Annihilation movie as a Cyborg, but was handily dealt with by Sub-Zero. I have no recollection of this, because that movie was PACKED with random apperances of guys.

New Kontinuity:
-Smoke got an upgrade in the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot, this time becoming the kind of character we all now make fun of Japanese Mangaka for creating (ie. he's a bishonen pretty boy with wispy hair and delicate features), but then immediately proved WHY Mangaka do that, because it has the same effect on the vagina-having fanbase (yes MK actually has some- with this franchise, it's like Romance Novels & Lifetime having a male fanbase) that Mileena & Kitana's sexy outfits did on the MALE... ie. it earned him the adulation of adoring fans.

-In these games, he has the same role as Sub-Zero's partner, but he is saved from the Lin Kuei Cyborgs, with Sub-Zero falling to that fate instead. Smoke thus appears with the Earthrealm fighters as a Jobber To The Stars, being beaten by Kitana in a two-on-one match (with Johnny Cage as his partner), then later loses to Jade. He helps Sub-Zero regain his humanity, but is killed by Queen Sindel and turned into a revenant by Quan Chi. In MK X, he's now calling himself Enenra, and invades Earthrealm along with the other revenants, but is quickly beaten. Here, he's just Filler.

Smoke's Stats:
-Cyborg Smoke here has higher Initiative than the other fighters (he has multiple "Short-Range Teleport" moves that hit suddenly), and is themed around speed. He can go Invisible like Reptile, and is just as stealthy, and gains the Immunities from being a Cyborg; he's thus ten points cheaper in his "regular" form, seen only in Mortal Kombat 3 & 9 (ie. 2011). He kinda/sorta mixes parts of Reptile & Scorpion into one guy, especially since he has a Spear (Chest Trident as a Cyborg).

Best part is that it’s written by Alan Menken, of Part Of Your World/ Belle/ Reflections/ I See the Light/ Colours of the Wind fame.

I was never a part of BattleBoarding, so all I know of that sub-forum was the infamous "Cassandra Cain (vs) 3,000 Orcs" topic.

I don't think anyone saw The Emoji Movie, but it's a LOT of straight-up call-outs to "current things" that definitely won't hold up when everyone drops Pinterest for the next thing.
