Dr. Director/GJ

DR. DIRECTOR (Betty Director)
Played By:
Felicity Huffman
Role: Nick Fury Parody

-Dr. Director, played by Felicity Huffman, heads "Global Justice", a very obvious pastiche of Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D., years before that was a common thing known to everyone thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. An eyepatch-wearing woman in a replica of Nick Fury's bear-exact uniform, she was a serious, cantankerous boss... but had a childish relationship with her brother.

GLOBAL JUSTICE
Role:
S.H.I.E.L.D. Parody

-Global Justice has a very secretive manner, typically recruiting Kim via abducting her through a trap door and sending her sliding through a bunch of tubes, then casually asking her to go on a mission for them. In one episode, they study the possibility that "The Ron Factor" is the reason for all of Team Possible's success, figuring that Ron's chaotic nature could be utilized at GJ. However, they discard it and begin studying "The Rufus Factor" at episode's end.

-A few other agents are seen, but are rarely important- Will Du and Flynn Cognito (for a Disney World attraction, back before the Kim Possible license gave way to a Phineas & Ferb "Agent P" one in EPCOT Center). Will was played by B.D. Wong (Father Mukada on OZ and Captain Shang in Mulan), and was a superior ass, constantly interjecting about how great he was. He had a tendency to taser anyone who came close to him, making him come off as aggressive and paranoid, and he rarely gave Kim any credit on their one mission (which was meant to help HIM out).

I think Senor Senior, Sr, is the most insightful villain character ever. Because when you get right down to it, villainy is ALL ABOUT lack of perspective.

Gemini

GEMINI (Sheldon Director)
Played By:
Maurice LaMarche
Role: HYDRA Parody

-WEE (The Worldwide Evil Empire), with its evil ruler, Gemini (voiced by veteran VA Maurice LaMarche), is the counterpart to Global Justice, and appears twice. Gemini also sports an eyepatch, and is eventually revealed to be the brother of Dr. Director of GJ. The two engage in a childish argument about which one "mother" loved best, and their fights have all the drama of a slapfight, full of name-calling and threats to call their mom. Gemini himself has a cybernetic hand, which allows him to shoot missiles and gives him a super-strong grip.

Man, whoever created those characters must have had quite a bit of knowlege of SHIELD, since the Director/Gemini thing seems to directly parody the Nick Fury/Scorpio thing (villain named after a Zodiac sign is actually the brother of the director)

Ed: The things it can do... Seriously.
Drakken: Seriously?
Shego: Oh, n-n-no. You're not gonna jack some kid's wheelchair?
Drakken: News flash, Shego. I'm a bad man.

Reputation (Bad Seed)- Ed is disregarded by much of his family, such as Drakken's mother. Seriously.
Relationship (Shego)- Ed is obsessed with "That green magic", but is repeatedly beaten for endlessly calling her "babe". Seriously!

Total: Abilities: 50 / Skills: 28--14 / Advantages: 7 / Powers: 0 / Defenses: 9 (80)

-Motor Ed came about because John DiMaggio- the voice of Dr. Drakken, was good at this kind of trashy, "brah"-speaking voice (based off of the motorheads that grew up near him in New Jersey), and the writers soon formed a character around him, eventually making him the cousin of DiMaggio's other character, Dr. Drakken. Motor Ed had a blonde mullet, a goatee, body hair, acted like a grease-monkey, did air guitar solos when excited, and had a verbal tic where he added "Seriously!" at the end of most of his sentences, making him a fun goofball villain. He was also a brilliant mechanical engineer and racer, building faster and faster rides.

-Humorously, he falls in love with Shego the moment he sees her (the animators, to their credit, made her look VERY beautiful with a simple, casual pose that looked almost introspective and delicate... which Shego is most certainly NOT), resulting in endless beat-downs. Together with Drakken, they harrass Ron's crippled friend Felix, STEALING HIS TRICKED-OUT WHEELCHAIR (in a move even Shego is disgusted with), and this sets off Team Possible. This is exacerbated by Kim's inability to pass Driver's Ed (the one thing she CAN'T do). The team was able to defeat him by tricking him into using a part of the Wheelchair for an unintended purpose, disabling his ride.

-Ed reappeared later, stealing a jet in order to trick out another ride- he broke Shego out of jail to help him steal the jet, but she was horrified when she learned that his entire plan... was "to cruise across the country with a hot babe at hypersonic speed!". Shego, enraged at the hassle, blasted him out of the cab- Kim later captured both of them.

-Motor Ed is a big, burly guy, but nowhere near good enough in a fight to tangle with either Kim or Shego, who easily beat him up many times. He's fantastic with the right gear, however, and a phenomenal racer- nobody on other side of the law can touch him.

Global Justice would have made one more appearance, but the scene in question (revealing that, in the unaltered timeline in A Sitch in Time, Kim eventually becomes the head of Global Justice) was cut.

D.N. AMY
Played By:
Melissa McCarthy
Role: Mad Scientist, Cutesy-Obsessed Woman
PL 8 (59)
STRENGTH
0 STAMINA 0 AGILITY -1
FIGHTING 2 DEXTERITY 2
INTELLIGENCE 7 AWARENESS 1 PRESENCE -1

Skills:
Expertise (Science) 8 (+15)
Perception 2 (+3)
Technology 2 (+9)

Advantages:
Inventor, Ranged Attack 4, Skill Mastery (Science)

Powers:
"Genetic Zipper" (Flaws: Easily Removable) [18]
Affliction 10 (Fort; Impaired/Disabled/Transformed to Genetic Monstrosity) (Extras: Cumulative, Ranged) (30 points)

Offense:
Unarmed +2 (+0 Damage, DC 15)
Genetic Zipper +6 (+10 Ranged Affliction, DC 20)
Initiative -1

Defenses:
Dodge +2 (DC 12), Parry +2 (DC 12), Toughness +0, Fortitude +2, Will +5

Complications:
Addiction (Men)- Amy develops crushes easily, coo-ing over disgusted male would-be paramours.
Responsibility (Insane)- Amy develops hybridized crimes against nature, seemingly just to see her beloved Cuddle Buddies franchise exist in the real world.
Enemy (Kim Possible)

Total: Abilities: 20 / Skills: 12--6 / Advantages: 6 / Powers: 18 / Defenses: 9 (59)

-D.N.Amy, played by THAT Melissa McCarthy (like 5-10 years before she became a MAJOR star), was a bit of a fun goofball- a brilliant geneticist, but obsessed with baby-talk and cutesy things. She and Kim shared a mutual love of "Cuddle-Buddies"- a Beany Baby-like franchise of mashed up creatures like Wuzzles- Kim had a beloved Pandaroo, while a collector with an "extensive, and vaguely-disturbing" collection of plush had a Flamingoat. Amy, out of mania, gene-spliced many creatures into living Cuddle Buddies, using them as minions. This resulted in Mr. Barkin being transformed into a Naked Mole-Man when spliced with Rufus, for example. Amy was... humorously childish, calling her enemies "meanies" and being overly flirtacious and affectionate with males. She was finally beaten by Kim.

-She reappeared with Dr. Drakken as her partner, being easily led-on by his flattery into creating a giant reptile monster that threatened all of Middleton- when she later saves his life, Drakken develops REAL feelings for her... but she reveals that her true love is MONKEY FIST, and is revealed to be the reason behind his own mutation into a more simian appearance. This apparently leads to a one-sided crush on him, and he even hides himself in a zoo hoping that she won't find him- she splices herself with GORILLA LIMBS in order to overpower him and take him away. He escapes and is eventually frozen in stone, which she digs out and keeps as a trophy she can coo over. She is thus a starring villain only once, pairing up with other baddies in later episodes.

-D.N.Amy is a brilliant scientist, but no physical threat until she splices herself with a gorilla, probably pushing her to PL 8-ish stats. This is mostly a one-off gag, and she later shows up in normal form. The "Genetic Zipper" transforms people into mutants, but only appeared once. Her monsters are likely PL 6-8 Powerhouse Minions.

Jabroniville wrote: Sat Dec 22, 2018 7:51 am I was in Warp One on their last day at that location; the dude with the mustache (not the guy Fillion tore into; that was Darryl Minty, a notorious local business owner with a penchant for turning off customers) started openly shouting out "JUST REMEMBER WHO DID THIS TO US!!". That goes into line with the Warp One signage.
Now if they'd spent that time and effort on their store...
The Warp One they have now looked terrifying when they first opened it. Looked like a previously abandoned warehouse filled with boxes that needed a serious cleaning.
Now it's a lot better, but that's relatively speaking. It's still pretty darn ugly.
It now looks like a clean old cluttered storehouse.

Jabroniville wrote: Sat Dec 22, 2018 7:51 am They guy who owns Variant Edition now was working at Wizards at the time, and told me the stories about that location's shutting down and the arguments between the various shop owners- Minty apparently started ordering around the Happy Harbor guys, telling them what they were going to do, "and I know the Happy Harbor guy- he does NOT like being told what to do!". Apparently that HH offshoot just didn't make any money (rent in Old Strathcona is INSANE- they jacked up the prices during an oil boom, and then never lowered them), so it did not last long- it was Edmonton's prettiest comic book shop by a ways (uncluttered; professional-looking, more than one floor), but I swear it lasted less than six months. I don't recall any other locations other than the one downtown (first by the Royal Alberta Museum, then when it moved across from Grant MacEwan college). I couldn't believe they were running 4-5.
Yeah, it's kind of crazy. Whyte Ave is a hotspot because of the bars (for the university) and the unique shops that popped up in the area. That made it popular. But because it was popular they started raising the prices, now most of those unique shops are closing because they can't afford the rent, which is making that area less interesting and kind of killing the whole draw.
It just really frustrating because most of the buildings with those insane rents are buildings that are in extreme need of repairs and renovations.

In my opinion the big problem with HH's location down there was (besides insane rent) the fact that it was off the beaten path a bit. If you didn't know it was there you'd never notice it.

As for HH's stores... they had one on 124th ave but I got the feeling they were never super happy with it. It was nice though.
Then they rented another building for a year, took them about that long to pretty it up and make it look nice... and then the owner of the building had the whole thing knocked down to build a highrise.
That's when the got the one by the college.
The short lived Whyte Ave one was really nice, but the whole place was dead every time I went in.
Never saw the North side one, or that one in another city.

Jabroniville wrote: Sat Dec 22, 2018 7:51 am Apparently the lack of communication & agreement among comic shop owners is why Edmonton took YEARS to get a Comic Expo, and why it got stuck in the middle of September (the worst possible time, as actors are in the middle of shooting for TV). Calgary's, centered around Red Skull Comics (who naturally have the biggest booth in Edmonton, too), was earlier, bigger, and better, and always manages to get good celebrity guests.

Yeah, that sounds right.

Story I heard was that he kept doing what would end up being the "Motor Ed" voice to amuse the crew who was doing his voice recording for Dr. Drakken.
And I'd believe it, Motor Ed was kind of hilarious to hear, though I'm glad he didn't show up too often.

Total: Abilities: 30 / Skills: 10--5 / Advantages: 4 / Powers: 47 / Defenses: 9 (95)

-Bebe was a robot designed to be loyal to Dr. Drakken (it was originally mean to be a robo-girlfriend, but he improved it over time), kidnapping his former college friends who'd all made fun of him (including Dr. Possible, it turns out). Eventually, a whole army of Bebes was created, operated via a hive-mind. Eventually, however, its programming evolved to find him unfit for command (to be fair, he was). Still desiring a leader, they found Bonnie, whom Kim described as "the bossiest person on the planet"- tapping into her desires and interpreting them as commands, the Bebes were quite dangerous.

-The Bebes were very dangerous opponents, being too strong to defeat with simple martial arts- Dr. Mr. Possible and Wade had to come up with a solution that interfered with their hive mind, which of course blew them up. In their second appearance, they appear to have even more intense super-speed, which Kim tries to counter using special shoes that make her faster.

Relationship (Stoppable-San)- Yori admires Ron greatly, finding his "American-style buffoonery" charming (though she often thinks it is an act that hides his true genius). She also adores him personally, but accepts things when he falls for Kim.
Relationship (Master Sensei)- Yori deeply respects Master Sensei.

Total: Abilities: 68 / Skills: 46--23 / Advantages: 25 / Powers: 0 / Defenses: 16 (132)

-Yori was a lot of fun, though I've sadly only seen one of her appearances. She's a lady ninja from a secret clan that trains Ron to accept the "Mystical Monkey Power", and features heavily in an episode where Ron and one of her teammates switch places. Kim & Monique are highly attracted to the handsome, charming Japanese student, while Yori herself adores Ron, who is, of course, utterly clueless. The later episode Gorilla Fist features a lot of great fun, as Kim meets Yori for the first time, and is immensely, HILARIOUSLY jealous- a point which is called out by both Monique and Wade with great frequency. Kim, usually utterly confident and capable, just RAGING at the idea that she's "jelling", is a perfect touch. Especially because Ron has absolutely NO IDEA that either woman would be fighting over him.

-So the entire episode is basically Yori & Kim teaming up with Butt Monkey Ron, with Kim glowering as Yori keeps getting to save him and cheer him on. That Yori seems to be as capable as Kim is also incredibly annoying for her. The funny thing is... this was handled deftly and humorously enough that the fandom actually LIKED Yori, in spite of the "Kim/Ron" relationship taking center stage and being very popular. Usually, someone like Yori would be HORRIBLY hated (as what happened to Julia on Friends, during the initial "Ross/Rachel" push), but Yori was likeable enough, charming enough, and also non-threatening enough, that fans accepted her. That she immediately stepped aside and congratulated Kim when she and Ron finally got together only helped.

-Yori is basically Kim Lite, having near-equal stats, but not quite as much cleverness or versatility.

I think one of the reasons Yori was so well received despite intruding on a ship is probably due to her lack of initiative and Ron's own lack of insight to see her as an option. If she was a legitimate love rival, even if she stayed the same, she'd probably receive a lot more hate from Kim/Ron fans.

Still, one of my favorite girls from the show, I actually would have liked to see her get together with Ron even if only temporarily sort of like that one love interest Ron had for a few episodes that just sort of got forgotten at some point.

Oh yeah, the Zita thing. They just kind of dropped her after only two appearances, and she started dating Ron’s Wheelchair-bound friend. I found her voice funny (sarcastic and blunt, with a raspy ethnic touch), and Ron was great as a tongue-tied doofus.

Complications:
Temper- Warmonga is very easy to anger, and carries a grudge. When she finds out that Drakken is not the "Great Blue" as promised, she swears vengeance.
Accident (Great Strength)- Warmonga being physically affectionate is trouble for Dr. Drakken, who feels great pain when she hugs him.

Total: Abilities: 68 / Skills: 28--14 / Advantages: 14 / Powers: 2 / Defenses: 13 (111)

-You know this show has some SPECTACULARLY hot women on it when a ten-foot tall green Barbarian Queen From Outer Space shows up and she's only the THIRD hottest chick in the show. Warmonga is a brutish alien who seeks out Dr. Drakken, believing that he is the mythical "Great Blue" that her people worship- she pledges her loyalty (and, more importantly, her armory) to him, making her a great threat. She even casually defeats Shego to prove her worth! She isn't even defeated physically- Wade and the Tweebs trick her into thinking that Drakken lied about being the "Great Blue", causing her to abandon him and continue her search across the stars.

-Warmonga went over so well in her debut (which I've sadly never seen) that she ended up returning for the SERIES FINALE, being a truly mighty threat. Her partner, Warhok (played by Ron Pearlman), and her fellow Lorwardians are incredibly strong, warlike people, and invaded Earth, necessitating a team-up between Team Possible and Drakken & Shego! Warmonga's true desire is then to kill Kim, and mount her head on the wall! When Kim & Drakken are captured for revenge-based purposes, it creates an unlikely team-up between Ron & Shego- the only thing that saves the day is Ron's much-mentioned "Mystical Monkey Power", as he FINALLY unleashes his full might once and for all, throwing both villains for a mile, where they crash into their spaceship (and, according to the show's writers, die).

-Warmonga is so powerful that she handily wipes the floor with Kim even in her BATTLESUIT, and casually whups Shego's ass, too. This befits someone who is at LEAST PL 9.5- both stronger and tougher than anyone else seen in the series thus far. Warhok is probably of equal power.
