Gorgoneia Brainstorm & Notes

Gorgoneia
Premise: In the past it has been believed that magicals made pacts with supernatural entities in order to gain power. Ironically, this belief wasn’t entirely wrong.
Required Inclusions:
- The story must begin with Amaryllis ‘Amy’ Potter becoming the newest, and possibly only living, member of the Gorgon species.
- The cause of this change must be an injury or attack which results in her nearly dying. The near death causing her Gorgon genetics to awaken and aid her in surviving.
- Upon awakening her Gorgon Genetics, Amy’s hair and eye color must change to more closely resemble the hair and eye colors of the other Gorgons.
- Because of the change, Amy must be considered extremely powerful, or at least she should be when placed in comparison to modern humans.
- If this takes place before the final battle, then the idiots in charge of the Ministry must attempt to label Amy as a ‘Dark Creature’ and have her wand confiscated.
- Any moral and ethical alignment is permissible.
- Any romantic pairing is permissible.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Amy should probably gain an ocular based ability (Mystic Eyes), as it appears all three of the other Gorgons had such powers, even if only Medusa is regularly tagged as having them.
- This fic being a crossover with one of the Nasuverse franchises.
- The elder two of the Gorgon sisters survived Medusa’s attempt to eat them, and wind up taking Amy in and helping her learn the ropes of her new abilities.
Optional Inclusions:
- Amy participating in the Fifth Holy Grail War at Fuyuki, and getting to meet Medusa, who is likely to be the sister that acted as her ancestor due to Medusa being known to have kids.

Complications
- Fame: Amy is famous within the cloistered communities belonging to the Hedge Magi, due to her efforts in defeating the man they refused to speak of in more direct terms than 'You Know Who', and for her efforts in protecting the students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry these past several years.
- Honor: Amy will always keep her word, strives to uphold the common good, and is never underhanded in her dealings.
- Impulsive: Amy is a tempestuous young woman, who will often act without considering the consequences, even when she is being advised of those consequences by those who might have some idea what they are talking about
- Motivation: Protector: Amy tends to go out of her way to save the otherwise hopeless damsels in distress, even going so far as to place her own life in danger while performing these rescue missions.
- Relationship: Not only is Amy one of the Gorgon Medusa's distant descendants, but due to circumstances largely beyond her control, that long dormant legacy has now become active and transformed Amy into the newest member in the incredibly small Gorgon species, which is also to say that she is now a Goddess. Furthermore, Amy is the Master of the Lancer Servant in the Fifth Holy Grail War.

Complications
- Brynhildr's Beloved: Brynhildr both loves and hates the individuals who have the ill fate of being designated as her "Beloved" and while she would happily marry any of them, she would just as easily kill them. Her Noble Phantasm is even designed to deal more damage against said individuals. As fate would have it, both her own Master and one of the opposing Servants (the Red Archer) qualify as members of her Beloved for different reasons.
- Forbidden Power: Brynhildr actually has TWO Noble Phantasms, however Amy has forbidden her from using her secondary Noble Phantasm, which is known as Brynhildr Komédia, due to the fact that using it would be akin to unleashing a nuclear bomb. The trick about this though, is that Amy didn't use a Command Seal when forbidding it's use, so there is still a possibility Brynhildr might ignore her.
- Motivation: Greed: Brynhildr has one goal in wishing upon the Holy Grail. A reunion with her beloved Sigurd. But then, whereupon this wish comes true, she will start to automatically attempt to murder him.
- Relationship: Brynhildr is Amaryllis' Lancer Servant during the Fifth Holy Grail War in Fuyuki City. She also finds Amaryllis to be very heroic ("Er... do you mean you find me to be pretty, Bryn?")

Mahou Ojou Lyrical Okeanos Brainstorm & Notes

Mahou Ojou Lyrical Okeanos
Premise: “In this great big ocean, there are thousands, no tens of thousands of fish. All kinds of fish with all sorts of colors and patterns hidden beneath the waves. Sometimes, it takes a very special person to truly care for these fishes, and then there is this one guy who is so in tune with the fish, that he can even talk to them!”
Required Inclusions:
- Niamh Potter is the daughter of James Potter and Nuada Silverhand, the latter having been part of a romantic union between James, Lily and herself.
- The union came about as a result of Nuada seeking out information on three artifacts gifted to the Peverell family by one of her ancestors in antiquity.
- The Nuada of this fic is the one from the New Earth continuity of DC Comics, or in other words, the Queen of the Atlantean Kingdom known as Thierna Na Oge.
- Niamh must have a strong connection to her Atlantean powers, so much so that she can tap into the elemental powers of both water and earth, much like her mother could.
- Aside from her elemental powers, Niamh must have access to the typical powers associated with an Atlantean, including the qualities associated with a Highborn Atlantean Hybrid (DCEU).
- Niamh’s life must actually bear some resemblance to the mythical figure after whom she is named, though it also shouldn’t be an exact duplicate of the original Niamh’s life.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Niamh gaining an ancient sea monster as a familiar, though it shouldn’t be anything as absurdly broken as Karathen.
- Niamh being chosen to wield Thierna Na Oge’s Zodiac Crystal at some point in the story, and thereby becoming the new Queen of said kingdom.
- Niamh attending Hogwarts mostly as a way to honor her late father and Lily rather than for any other reason.
Optional Inclusions:
- Niamh’s unusual hair color being a result of the lesser of two major genetic quirks within the inhabitants of Thierna Na Oge. They gotta have blue or green hair! They also get orange skin…
- Niamh having a half-sibling through Lily.

- Destiny: According to Albus Dumbledore, there is a prophecy which states that Niamh is the only one who can possibly defeat the Dark Lord known as Voldemort. Whether is legitimate or not is unimportant because Voldemort himself has heard part of the prophecy and considers Niamh a threat because of what he has heard. He will therefore go out of his way to ensure the prophecy has merit.
- Everyone Magnet: Whether a person is male or female, young or old, they will likely be attracted to Niamh simply because she is the Girl Who Lived, and would happily fight every other person who might be attracted to her, just to get Niamh to notice them.

- Disability: Nuada wears an enchanted silver prosthetic arm in order to make up for the fact that she lost one of her arms in an encounter with a creature known as Sreng of the Firbolg.

- Motivation: Responsibility: Nuada is responsible for the well-being of everyone who calls Thierna Na Oge their home, as well as for the ensuring that both her own daughter, and that of Lily Potter, are in safe hands as the grow into adulthood, something that almost wasn't possible due to the meddling of one, Albus Dumbledore.
- Nemesis: Nuada's own sister, Eochaid Bres, is both her worst enemy, and in some cases her greatest ally. It is largely for the latter reason that Nuada has never really felt it necessary to deal with her sister in a more permanent fashion, though this often bites her in the cute behind.
- Power Loss: When not employing the Lia Fail (which is actually one of the Zodiac Stones), Nuada is treated as though her Strength, Stamina and Spell Array are all Impaired for purposes of determining their effect ranks. This has the side effect of reducing her Power Level from 12 to 11 for combat purposes.
- Weakness: Nuada will dehydrate when away from water for an extended period of time, becoming impaired, disabled, and finally incapacitated before her condition becomes life threatening. Immersion in water immediately removes all accumulated conditions.

Build Comments: I decided to post this stat block because I don't think anyone, and by that I mean anyone in the history of the gaming industry, has ever bothered to build a stat block for this woman, and that bothers me something fierce.

On that note, Nuada's power level is about dead even with where I'd place the Mera from the New 52 comics, as she is substantially more powerful than the one depicted in the DCEU movies.

Premise: What if the Potter family had been present in Smallville during the very first meteor shower? And what if the only family in that town in a position to adopt children after said meteor strike had been the Kents?
Required Inclusions:
- Sharon Potter must have a light or gray moral alignment, though her ethical alignment is being left up to the author.
- Sharon must be at least as powerful as Clark at the start of the Smallville series.
- Sharon must come into contact with meteor rocks during that first shower, and in doing so awaken her long dormant Kryptonian DNA transforming her into a Krypto-Magi Hybrid.
- At some point during the course of the series, Sharon must discover that the different types of Kryptonite have varying effects upon her, much like they do with Clark.
- At some point in the story, Sharon must discover Clark’s secret. What she does with this knowledge is up to the author.
- Because of Sharon’s ability to use magic, Zatanna and/or Constantine must have a role in the story, even if only to teach her how to use said magic.
- All romantic pairings are permissible for the purposes of this story.
Preferred Inclusions:
- This fic being a crossover with the Supergirl franchise more than it is with Smallville.
- Lily and James dying in the meteor shower rather than in battle against Voldemort, resulting in there being a different Child Who Lived back in Britain.
- A form of Kryptonite exists which only affects Sharon due to her nature as a Krypto-Magi.

- Accident: The gamemaster is allowed to cause any form of disastrous repercussions to occur whenever Sharon attempts to use an offensive power with the "Uncontrolled" flaw attached to it, and likewise whenever she fails the accompanying roll for offensive powers with the "Unreliable (Roll)" flaw. This is because these powers represent those which she has yet to master, or which have yet to actually properly awaken.
- Enemy: While she is not the one who is ultimately destined to defeat the Dark Lord known as Voldemort, the fact remains that Sharons parents succeeded in defying Voldemort on three separate occasions, and he would happily see her killed just to avenge that insult.
- Honor: Sharon will always keep her word, strives to uphold the common good, and is never underhanded in her dealings.
- Impulsive: Sharon is a tempestuous young woman, who will often act without considering the consequences, even when she is being advised of those consequences by those who might have some idea what they are talking about
- Motivation: Protector: Sharon is highly motivated to use her powers to protect others. She willingly puts herself at risk to defend innocents and those she cares about.
- Power Loss: Sharon loses access to all powers with the Kryptonian descriptor when exposed to red solar energy. She could also conceivably lose those powers when in an environment that disrupts or destabilizes the yellow solar energy she keeps stored inside of her body.
- Relationships: Sharon's strongest relationships are with her adoptive parents and brother. Other important relationships in her life include the man who taught her everything she knows about magic, John Constantine; as well as her friend Chloe Sullivan, who has recently brought Sharon's brother, Clark in on their research into all the strange things that go on in Smallville.
- Secret: Sharon and her brother have managed to successfully conceal from each other the fact that they aren't exactly as human as they would each like others to think they happen to be. Their parents are probably laughing over this, as they are fully aware of both of their children's secrets.
- Weakness: Sharon is susceptible to the effects of a wide variety of Kryptonite, and due to her magic, may even be susceptible to types of Kryptonite that her brother would actually be immune to.

Required Inclusions:
- Erika Potter must have had a valid reason to cut ties with Wizarding Britain, although she is permitted to retain a connection with individuals such as Andromeda Tonks.
- Erika must adopt a 10 year old Raven no later than 5 years prior to the start of Young Justice.
- Erika must at some point be apprenticed to Kent Nelson, who will pass away several years before the Young Justice timeline.
- Kent must have chosen Erika as the new Doctor Fate shortly before his death, and Erika must work out an arrangement with Nabu that allows her to retain her faculties a majority of the time.
- Due to Kent passing on the mantle to Erika, the events of the Young Justice episode “Denial” must either not happen, or else be suitably altered to account for the difference.
- Erika must initially be an ally of the Justice League, but not an actual member thereof.
- Raven must at some point join the Young Justice Team.
- If Erika is to be paired with someone, then it must be with Wonder Woman, Black Canary, or Hawkgirl (and preferably the Justice League Unlimited version thereof).
Preferred Inclusions:
- Erika actually being a metamorphmagus in addition to her powers as Doctor Fate and a member of Wizarding Britain.
- Erika and Batman possessing a mildly antagonistic relationship; possibly due to a disagreement over what age is appropriate for when their wards can become superheroes.
- To go with the above, Erika should be reluctant to allow Raven to join the team, but this should be more of a motherly concern than a lack of confidence in Raven’s abilities.

Complications
- Big Fluffy Wings: Shayera has rather large and hard to hide wings. These make it difficult for her to blend in among the normal citizens of Earth the way that the majority of her former comrades within the Justice League were capable of doing. Because of this fact, she tends to suffer numerous complications that go hand in hand with not having a separate civilian persona from her heroic persona.
- Honor: Shayera follows a strict code of honor when it comes to fights, and even when not fighting. She obeys the rules of fair play and hospitality, and may even pick up other odd and restrictive rules to add to her code of honor as she gets older.
- Motivation: Responsibility: Shayera has been sent to Earth in advance of the Thanagarian invasion force in hopes that she might act as an effective scout and determine Earth’s weaknesses should Thanagar's enemies, the Gordanians, attack. Her cover story was that she happened to be tracking criminals to their fortress when she was unexpectedly teleported to Earth.
- Taphophobia: Shayera's greatest fear is being trapped in a coffin and buried alive, and this fear only increases if it were to involve having her wings restrained.
- Temper: Common things that you might hear Shayera say include: "Less talking, more hitting!" or "Excuse me, Hawkgirl Smash!" and various other things of the sort. It is clear she has a temper.
