Re: A Game of Legacies - Living in the Modern Age!

What great work, everyone! Thanks for taking part in this! It worked better than I could have possibly expected, and I really dig the Apex Comics world we built. Still plenty of territory left to uncover, if anyone feels like popping back in to flesh something out in the future. I love the ongoing b...

Re: A Game of Legacies - Living in the Modern Age!

(Did I go crazy with this? Yes, yes I did. But its the final round and I wanted to indulge myself as much as I could. I've really enjoyed this group project, y'all. Thank you for taking part. And without further ado --) Dynamo In-Universe History In mid-2010s, Cape Reed -area high school sophomore ...

Re: A Game of Legacies - Living in the Modern Age!

All right! I have my idea, just need to sit down and put the writing together, by this weekend at the latest. I will say that on the meta-angle, I'm going to introduce a series of connected TV shows that reimagined / depicted the Apex characters (though the in-character history is the comics version...

Re: A Game of Legacies - Living in the Modern Age!

Hmmmm. I admit I have the start of my Modern idea, but I still need some more for it. Did anyone have any particularly big swings (setting changes, events, new teams, etc.) they were mulling over that I could bounce off of, perhaps?

Re: The Phoenixverse (A 2e OC 'verse; Red Ronin! Tetsuya Fujiwara! Kazumi Ishimaru! Hiroji Ryusaki! Netsuko Nishimura!)

It might be covered by "Team Role" and "Miscellaneous" but something about...I dunno how to describe it exactly -- personality? Style? "This is a 'joker' (as in comedy, not The Joker) character, who's adventures tend towards humor" - "This is a Tragic Avenger"...

Re: Ember Point (Latest Update - Anton Marionette - resourceful magic craftsman / What Next?)

Honestly, I'd break it down how the Freedom City book did. Quickly sketching out the basics of how the city functions, its key civilian figures, its neighborhoods, and selected cultural institutions like sports teams and museums. I have to say, I thought I remembered the structure and was using tha...

Re: A Game of Legacies - Living in the Modern Age!

No claim on Totentanz. Most of what my Modern Dr. Dynamic will be will be in conversation with her own legacy, not so much the others.

Re: A Game of Legacies - Living in the Modern Age!

The Modern Age The Iron Age! The EVERYWAR! So many big changes, including to the concept of who's a hero, and who's a villain! The world survived, changed, but intact! Halo tore through the underworld until the Golden Ring & allies showed him what a real hero looked like! K fought as far as he ...

Re: A Game of Legacies - THE X-TREME IRON AGE!

This week has been and remains very busy for me, but I did want to pop in and say I really like what you've done with Dr. Radiance! Fun to see the Zeta Rays make a come back in a big way and the culmination of our EVERYWAR discussions! I'll have a Modern Age hub post up shortly, but we won't have an...

Re: A Game of Legacies - THE X-TREME IRON AGE!

So, once we get the last Iron Age entry, we're onto the Modern Age. And not to get ahead of ourselves, but once we're done with that, are we all content to call it a day and look upon our works (but not despair!)? Or did we want to expand / add / do anything else with this?

Ooh, good point. I had one non-CLU college planned, but this has prompted to think about more in both higher and lower education. Thank you!

Re: Ember Point (Latest Update - Anton Marionette - resourceful magic craftsman / What Next?)

So I’ve been working on details about the city itself. It’s very fun coming up with the businesses, locations, city officials and institutions, landmarks, etc. It’s also quite disorganized, so it may take some time to start posting it. In the interim, I’m curious if anyone has specific requests or t...

Re: A Game of Legacies - THE X-TREME IRON AGE!

No worries in the delay! The deadlines were always just to have some structure, but it bends to what we want to do with it. Given Dr. Radiance was mentioned as desiring in a technocratic utopia, I’d fully believe he looked into whatever technology was necessary to preserve the “greatest minds” (obvi...

And just want to toss in that I also really liked "K"! I love the visual style I can imagine for it, and the reveal of clones of Flint Maddox is great!
