Re: She Hulk Attorney at law

My reaction to the Hulk fight: "Ah, Bruce, why can't you just admit that you're lonely?"

NoOneofConsequence wrote: Thu Aug 18, 2022 7:39 pm DC seemed to try that a lot, using a big event to debut a new superteam. I think that is how the 80s Suicide Squad got started.
<nod> Both it and the revised Justice League came out of Legends. And later, both Justice League Europe and the L.E.G.I.O.N. came out of Invasion.

Well to be fair he didnt have a lot of time He explicitly states that he started his plans right after the Crimebusters meeting (1966) and they paid off in 1985. Nineteen years. "You could have saved the world years ago if it mattered to you". Edit: And with regards to Nixon -- Veidt star...

Re: Millennium Question (DC Comics)

I don't think he was ever mentioned before or again; this may have been added to make it seem more plausible that they hadn't known about Tara. (Funny story -- apparently, that plot twist was inspired by the fact that Steve Englehart wanted to use Terra in this story and himself didn't know that she...

Re: Sinbad and the Legend of the Seven Seas

Also, Eris and Proteus are both from Greek mythology. Why use them instead of something from Arabian myth? Or did the writers just assume that they were the same thing? Given that the only location mentioned is Syracuse, which is in the Med, it's more ridiculous that they used the name Sinbad, give...

Re: Ultra the Multi-Alien

-This guy's origin is so "Drug-Addled Silver Age" that it's not even funny- Future-Earth Spaceman Ace Am was attacked by four aliens, each of whom was wielding a gun that could *gasp* TRANSFORM THE VICTIM INTO A COPY OF THE SHOOTER! If I wanted to justify this, I'd say that those guns als...

Well, sources differ as to whether Theseus used a sword or a club on the big guy, so I'd recommend a pointed stick.

Re: DCU Question - Jack of Spades II

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Bucky O’Hare! Blinky! Jenny! Dead-Eye Duck!)

I suspect that the four arms was an attempt to prevent what happened with other duck characters (getting sued by Disney) that people had come up with in the past.
