Re: Superteam Handbook

I just got this book today. And I just finished going through it.

It is a comprehensive resource on its topic. And very well needed facet of the superhero game experience that has been served. I love the fact that it treats its topic so thoroughly. It's way better than I expected it to be.

Re: Okay here's one...wrestlers you don't care for

Kevin Nash has always been mediocre to watch. In my opinion. His matches just are never interesting.

He is also responsible for "The finger-poke of Doom."

Re: Worst pro wrestlers other than Dino Bravo

Konnan. His thug gimmick has always sucked. And he was no fun to watch at all.

Friday The 13th: The Game

I bought it on Nintendo Switch. And it is the only pvp game I truly love.

It is endlessly fun. And it never gets boring. It's a real joy to play.

It is better than I expected it would be. And it truly captures the intensity of the movies.

Re: DC Cancels Vertigo

If they didn't sell, these companies would have been out of business decades ago. Dark Horse is nothing BUT boutique books, they have almost no original properties, they specialize in those types of properties. Actually. Dark Horse. Dynamite, and IDW make the bulk of their money from licensed prope...

Re: DC Cancels Vertigo

Dynamite: The boutique books didn't sell. IDW: The boutique books didn't sell. Dark Horse: The boutique books didn't sell. That's four different publishers (including DC) where the majority of those boutique books didn't sell. You mentioned Gaiman's books and Preacher. Again. Only a couple of succes...

Re: DC Cancels Vertigo

There were good parts of Vertigo? Since when? It was the bastion of boutique comics that would have never gotten any support any place else. And frankly, Vertigo's existence had been nothing but to DC's detriment. Sucking off resources desperately needed to improve the quality of the main line. It p...

Re: Godzilla King Of The Monsters

Was it? Cuz, in my circle, they're split. But you're right, I'm not a Godzilla fan. I much preferred Pacific Rim (the first movie.) I'm a fan of Pacific Rim as well. It has its own charm. Godzilla is something else entirely. And i'm not really keen on seeing the two mix. Because it would result in ...

Re: Godzilla King Of The Monsters

The humans were the big problem with the movie. They had way too much focus. They should be there to provide some narration and some side story. And not much else. This was a chance for them to really do it big and provide a really spot on Godzilla experience. But again they missed the point. And I ...

Re: Godzilla King Of The Monsters

Compared to the previous Godzilla 2014, this movie at least had a sense of agency for the human characters, which was a big part of the development of the story and, in my opinion, made sense. Not only Monarch was founded to study and counter the kaiju, but this version of Godzilla (and the other k...

Re: Godzilla King Of The Monsters

I just got back from seeing Godzilla King Of The Monsters. The movie was a good solid Godzilla film. And I only had a couple of minor nitpicks. But otherwise? It was a great movie. My first complaint: Way too much concentration on the humans. Humans are supposed to be largely incidental in a Godzill...

Re: Godzilla King Of The Monsters

I heard that it relies too much on smoke effects, shaky cam, human acting and other obscuring effects that get in the way of the action, is this true? That criticism is true of Godzilla 2014. I will be seeing Godzilla King Of The Monsters tomorrow morning. After that, I will be able to tell you if ...
