Kinda funny that Dabi isn't popular with you guys, since his whole "concept" seems designed for "Sympathy for the Devil" stuff- like, his BACKSTORY is pretty interesting, so maybe that supersedes anything regarding his character, which y'all describe as cold and aloof. That and his visual design probably carry the day, as MHA seems like a very visually-defined series. So you got this mega-symbolic villain- the physical manifestation of both the sins of Endeavor, and a Mirror Image Villain to Shoto. I mean, this is why WESTERN comics pulls off these MIVs so often! They become instantly memorable and people get fascinated by "what if our hero was darker and more evil?".

Complications

Motivation: Acceptance: After becoming a wanted criminal and living a life of seclusion, the thing Twice felt like he needed the most was companionship and trust. His main reason for joining the League of Villains was the friendship he ended up developing with the people in its ranks, like Spinner, Shigaraki and Toga. This all makes Twice a very trusting and friendly person, which is something that could be exploited.

Fear: Splitting: Twice has an irrational fear of “splitting”, which is to say, of accidentally creating duplicates of himself, a fear he developed after an incident with his clones. Wearing his mask and costume seems to ease this phobia a bit, which means he can end up having breakdowns if his mask is damaged. This also has caused him to develop a very explosive and erratic personality while in costume, acting very lively, having constant and sudden mood shifts and constantly making statements that contradict each other. Additionally, due to his belief that he might be a duplicate, Bubaigawara is very scared of suffering damage, as, if he is indeed a duplicate, that could end up unmaking him.

Progressively Weaker Doubles: Twice’s summoned copies are weaker than the original, taking a slight penalty to their Toughness. The second summoned copy is even weaker, taking an even higher penalty determined by the DM. He is also unable to summon copies of himself due to his trauma.

24 Abilities, 603 Powers, 4 Advantages, 14 Skills, 11 Defenses = 656 Character Points

About: Twice was a loud, spontaneous and very friendly guy, and one of the first people to join the League of Villains after Stain's capture. He had an interesting habit while talking, where he would make contradicting statements in quick succession to one another while talking to others, somewhat emblamatic of his powers. His quirk, Double, allowed him to create up to two temporary duplicates of anyone or any small objects he knows the exact measurements of, which were more fragile than the original version of it and quickly turn into sludge if attacked. He initially could not use his quirk to create duplicates of himself, due to past trauma, but eventually became able to do so again, with his duplicates being able to summon duplicates of other things as well.

Bubaigawara's trauma came from his early days as a villain, where he committed petty theft using his duplicates, and ordered his copies around to do manual labor for him. Eventually, his copies turned on him, with a brawl ensuing among them to decide who should be their boss. By the end of it, Twice was the only one left, with the room filled with splattered sludge of destroyed clones, him left unsure if he was his original self or not.

This incident is probably part of the reason for his erratic personality and irrational fear of "splitting" when unmasked, and the reason he supressed his abilities to create duplicates of himself. All of this lead his life to become very secluded, due to his fear of being a clone and being destroyed if he received damage. This, however, slowly built a deep sense of loneliness and paranoia on Bubaigawara.

At some point, Twice met Giran, who recognized Twice's longing for companionship and recommended that he joined the League of Villains to find a place where he could belong, something that ended up working quite well for him, as he quickly bonded with many of the League members and grew to deeply care about them as friends.

His first appearance was during the Forest Training arc, where he teamed up with Dabi and created a double of him to go after the students at the base camp, and later assists the rest of his group in fighting off the class 1-A students when they were trying to rescue Bakugo and Tokoyami from Mr. Compress, warping back tot he base with the captured Bakugo. During the subsequent hideout raid, Twice was quickly immobilized by Kamui Woods, being unable to assist the other League Members in fighting off against the villains. After being warped to All For One's location, Twice attempts to assist in recapturing Bakugo, but ends up failing, being rescued by All For One's Warping after the fight to go away to safety with the rest of his team.

His next significant appearance is at the Shie Hassaikai arc, where he was the one to invite Overhaul to the League, after seeing him take care of some street punks, and this leads to Twice feeling intense guilt after Overhaul betrays the league and kills off Magne, pleading with Shigaraki for him to be allowed some way to assume responsability for this. Together with Toga, he infiltrates the Shie Hassaikai, and both assist in fighting off against the invading heroes on the base, however, during the fight, Twice's mask ends up being ripped, exposing half his face and triggering his trauma once more, with him panicking, afraid that he will "split." To ease him, Toga uses a hankerchief to cover the exposed portion of his face, successfuly calming him down.

As the arc goes on, both him and Toga distract Mimic so the heroes can successfuly take him down, and then they both escape from the base, something they do through Twice creating doubles of Mr. Compress and using his quirk to dig through the earth slowly. After they escape, Twice and Toga attract the attention of the heroes outside towards Overhaul, as his fight with Midoriya was just starting, wanting to get their revenge for Magne's murder.

Later on, in the Paranormal Liberation Front arc, after training with Gigantomachia, Twice has to fight off against Skeptic, who was overwhelming him with his summons. However, during that fight, while Twice begged for mercy, Skeptic uses his minions to break one of Bubaigawara's arms, making him realise he was his original self all along and not a double, as a clone would have turned to sludge if it had sustained that much damage. With his trauma suddently reverted, Twice began summoning many clones of himself, all of which in turn summoned more and more duplicates, creating a massive onslaugfht that quickly overwhelmed Skeptic, and allowed him to assist on taking down the Paranormal Liberation Front recruits as a massive assault of Twices stormed the city hideout of the Front.

After the League and the Paranormal Liberation Front merged into the Meta Liberation Army, Twice was one of the few members to become a solo commander of a unit, due to the massive danger his quirk posed. After this, as Hawks infiltrated the Army, he quickly formed a bond with the hero, not knowing that Hawks was working as a double-agent, giving him a lot of useful information the pro-heroes used very effectively against them later on.

During the events of the Meta Liberation Army arc, Twice finally ended up being confronted by Hawks, being devastated after he found out about the betrayal of someone he saw as a friend. He attempted to kill Hawks in desperation, summoning doubles of other League of Villain members while claiming that his friends were his power, but Hawks' velocity proved too great to handle, resulting in the death of Twice. In his final moments, Twice sent a copy of himself to find Toga, thanking her for everything and returning the hankerchief she had given to him earlier, stating how lucky he felt to have been able to make such good and valluable firends in the League as he turned to sludge, fading away for good.

Twice is an amazing character, and he is absurdly well written to a degree you begin to sympathise and cheer for the League of Villains to succeed. There is just something very touching about someone who wanted nothing but to find a place where he belonged and good friends to keep him company. What's even more sad about all this is how that very idea and how much of a good, friendly guy he was, was what ultimately caused his death at the hands of Hawks, who used his trusting nature against him. Personality-wise, Twice always sort of reminded me of Deadpool, due to how erratic and random he is (that paired with the expressive Spider-Man-esche eyes on his mask). His chartacter was always really fun to me, and he is probably my favorite League of Villains member.

Twice has only one named Super Move, the Infinite Doubles: Sad Man's Parade, a move he gained after overcoming his trauma, where he creates clones of himself, who, in turn, create more clones of himself, and so on progressively, resulting in a massive army. An absurdly powerful technique.

OK, some build comments. Twice ended up being, together with Spinner, my most low power League of Villains build (both of them managing to be weaker than even people like Toga), due to how he mostly uses his cloning abilities for support. I was VERY unsure as to what rank to give his Summon effect, since he could, in theory, summon a duplicate of literally anyone he knows the exact measurements for, including people like All For One if he had the chance (maybe THAT was All For One's biggest mistake, LOL). So after deliberating like crazy on this, I just sort of went fuck it and gave him 100 ranks, resulting in a very ugly pricing for the build. Other than that, this is a pretty simple and straight forward low-ish PL build. Truth be told, I feel like I might have low-balled him a bit, but I feel like this is a generally accurate representation of what he could do in combat.

Outfits: Twice's villain costume consists of a black and white stylized bodysuit that has a "T" and a "W" printed on it, paired with a two-color mask that has a horizontal split. He also wears his special measuring tape blade bracelets, which he uses both as a weapon of choice and to take measurements of others.

About: A build representing Twice after his power-up. His defense gets a minor 1 PL upgrade, and his attacks gain a 0.5 PL upgrade, making him PL 5.5 offensively and PL 6 defensively. He gained a boost on his Will meant to represent him growing after overcoming his trauma, and gained his new Super Move, the Sad Man's Parade, which I did through him summoning 2 clones, those being able to summon clones and other doubles themselves. I thought about letting him create more duplicates at once, but this way felt more accurate, and would probably result in him being a fairly interesting encounter, slowly snowballing his power into an exponentially bigger thereat if he is not dealt with quickly.

Haha, the curse of Summoners/Duplicate guys: piss-poor PLs, combined with MASSIVE point costs, as M&M, valuing action economy more than anything, charges out the nose for summoning.

This dude sounds legit interesting, though- “crazy weirdo” mixed with a desperate need for companionship- then a badass power upgrade that makes him truly lethal. And they make him sympathetic as all get-out while making him a big part of the story… then kill him off just as he comes full circle. Popular Anime Supporting Character 101- something lost in Western comics, which always leave characters lying around these days.

Ah, alas, poor Twice! Such a tragic character, but that's what made him so good. When I talk about the League being cool because they care for each other, Twice is the one who embodies that the most. His pain over Magne's death, and at the thought of failing his friends twice was heartbreaking. Then there was Hawks, who truly wanted to help Twice. The pain they both felt during the confrontations was palpable. RIP

Nice build! He's expensive, but straightforward. I'm especially looking forward to your build of Mr Compress though, because I feel like I was never able to really capture his Quirk in the one I made.

Dabi works just fine thematically. He's a powerful opponent who acts as a dark reflection of one of the main heroes, giving Todoroki and Endeavor some character growth as he basically shoves all of Endeavor's sins right in their faces, just as they were starting to come to terms. In terms of what he does for the story, he's just fine. As a character, he's basically Shigaraki-lite: same motivation (abusive childhood), same desire (tear down the heroes that failed them), similar personalities (immature edge-lords), etc. Dabi honestly needed something else going for him personality wise to distance him from Shigaraki, because outside of his history with Todoroki and Endeavor and his powers, he doesn't really have much going for him beyond a semi-interesting visual. I'd bet money he's also a Nomu, similar to Kurogiri, explaining his survival and how his jawbone was found. He really is just the corpse of Endeavor's kid being paraded around by All For One to screw with someone he knew would take over as the number one hero some day.

Toga I honestly don't care for, at least partially because she's popular as "Everyone's favorite crazy waifu", like she's the MHA version of Harley Quinn. I never really understood the appeal of characters like Toga or the DCEU version of Harley, who are both these legitimately terrible people who justify their terrible behavior for pretty shallow reasons. If you made them unattractive or made them male, they suddenly go from "precious damaged waifu that I must save from herself" to "creepy stalker guy". Her power upgrade where she can now copy full on powers in addition to appearances made her a lot more dangerous, and she can potentially create a lot of chaos on a battlefield when you can't trust your allies. In some ways she's like Mystique on steroids.

Twice is pretty much everyone's favorite villain, partially because he's funny, partially because of his unique quirk and partially because he's ACTUALLY sympathetic. Dabi had a terrible upbringing, but it was really no worse than Todoroki, who turned out fine. Like the old saying goes, when you've got a bad situation, your options are whether to become Bitter or Better. Dabi chose the former, Todoroki chose the latter. Toga likewise has this obsession with love, but it isn't love so much as this creepy possessiveness, a kind of entitlement where she feels owed the affection of others.

Twice tho? The dude suffered a full on existential crisis for years, never knowing if he was the original or a clone. He comes off as someone suffering legitimate mental problems and needs some desperate therapy. He's a clearly broken person trying to find any stability in his life, and he only got that acceptance from the League of Villains. Dabi and Toga are at least partially to blame for their own circumstances, but Twice is someone that Hero Society legitimately failed. The fact that he's a genuinely helpful, friendly person who goes out of his way to save his friends makes him admirable, and allows people like Toga to show off their more humane and relatable sides. That Hawk kills Twice is an actual tragedy, as the villain really needed help and rehabilitation more than anything.

Twice's costume also works really well, as I vastly prefer more simple-yet-iconic designs over some of the more busy outfits in MHA.

Also, I just re-read the Vigilantes storyline with Aizawa, Present Mic and Oboro, and my God is that whole storyline a gut punch. Like, I desperately want to see some alternate universe where the three of them got to form their own Hero Agency (possibly with Midnight) and then become teachers someday.

That... is actually a pretty good theory I had never considered. The whole missing jawbone thing was something I had previously just chucked to manga logic, but now that I think about it, him being revealed to be a Nomu would be an interesting twist.

Honestly the costumes in the series are one of its weaker aspects when it comes to super-heroics. There are quite a few cool and iconic ones, but just as many weird and 90's-esche ones in the worst way possible.

Heh, that's a cute idea. All in all tho, the Loud Cloud arc is probably one of the main reasons I would love to have a Vigilantes anime. Hell, even if it was just as a special episode OVA thing, I would just really like to see that whole arc in motion to see the full dramatic weight of it and stuff.

Well you answered your own question. If you make something female and attractive you tend to earn like 10 sympathy points automatically. Honestly if the person doing it is attractive it tends to put creepy behavior in a more sympathetic light, male or female. If Toga was a hot guy there'd be a significant portion of the female fan base making Yaoi fanart and fanfics about his and Deku eloping together or some shit. Basically if it's someone unattractive you go "Well that's creepy as fuck." if it's someone attractive you go "Well, I think I awakened a new fetish."

Yeah, it's amazing what pretty people can get away with. Really stupid too. Though there was one funny review of the Zack Snyder Justice League cut I was watching that kind of put that into perspective when the Flash was using his powers to slow-mo steal a hotdog and stroke a girl's cheek.

Reviewer: "Now imagine this scene, but replace the Flash with MovieBob, and you'll understand why this is creepy."

Like, it sort of depends on context. If your SO suddenly kissed you on the lips that would be fine, an enjoyable little surprise, however if a stranger did such you'd be much more concerned. Similarly, if you hit it off with someone at a club and they were to kiss you on the cheek and give you bedroom eyes that'd be great, but if it's the person you've been telling to leave you the fuck alone that'd be horrible. It's less "Attractive people just get a free pass" and more "I want to have that sort of closeness with this person", and as readers tend to project themselves as the subject in these sorts of situations it paints the context of the scene in a different light.

Motivation: Stain’s Will: Iguchi turned to villany and joined the League of Villains in order to help achieve the society Stain described by ending the current hero society in order to create one with worthy “true heroes” .

26 Abilities, 8 Powers, 1 Advantages, 15 Skills, 19 Defenses = 59 Character Points

About: Spinner is a young guy with the appearance of a lizard whois the self-proclaimed legacy of Stain the Hero Killer, faithfully believing his ideals and wanting to carry on his vision (despite not having nearly enough fighting skill to do so), even dressing himself like him and using weapons like his. His quirk, Gekko, gives him the appearance and scales of a lizard, and allows him to stick to walls with all four of his members.

Throughout the series, Spinner is used as the "everyman" of the League of Villains, so to say, having an underwhelming power and not that much fighting skill, but still standing next to the likes of Dabi, Shigaraki and Mr. Compress. He was motivated to join the League after Stain's capture, with his words and ideas resignating deeply with Iguchi, who took upon himself to finish his work of "cleaning up" hero society so that a society of actually righteous heroes can rise. This passion for Stain's ideology likely comes from his past, where he was descriminated against due to his mutant quirk.

Iguchi fights, initially, with a massive makeshift blade made out of various swords tied together, but, eventually, it ends up being broken (something that happened due to Horikoshi's asistants, who asked for him to change wweapons due to his orioginal one being a pain to draw), so he ends up fighting with a katana later on in the series, fashioning his fighting style after Stain himself. Like other League of Villains members, Spinner seems to be pretty close to the other members of the League, becoming good friends with Shigaraki quickly due to their similar age and interest in videogames.

Spinner first appears in the Forest Training arc, where he and Magne fight off against Tiger and Mandalay from the Wild, Wild Pussycats after taking down Pixie-Bob in a sneak attack. During this fight, he also prevents Magne from attacking Midoriya, telling her that he was the one Stain declared a true hero, so none of them were allowed to touch him, which annoyed Magne. The both of them would end up being defeated int hat fight, and having to be rescued by Kurogiri's Warp Gate at the end of the arc.

Later, in the Hideout Raid arc, after the villains are teleported by All For One to the Nomu factory, Spinner is one of the villains to be taken down by Gran Torino, having to be rescued while unconscious by All For One, who teleports him to safety along the rest of the League. He then shows up at the end of the Shie Hassaikai arc, where he is the one having to men the car while the villains fight off against Snatch, saying that he isn't too confident on his driving skills since all he knows about it he learned from videogames, which Shigaraki only replies to by telling him to shut up and drive, which got a chuckle out of me.

During the Meta Liberation Army arc, Spinner has a brief moment of questioning whether his true place is with the League or not, since he feels like they have deviated a lot from Stain's ideals, but ends up staying after some encouragement from Toga and hearing about Giran's predicament, being kidnapped by the Meta Liberation Army. In the League's attempt to free Giran, Spinner ends up fighting off against Trumpet and his followers, to allow Shigaraki to make his way through the city, and, with the assistance of Twice's clones from his newfound power, manages to reach Trumpet, having conviction that his place is with the League due to him wanting for Shigaraki to succeed in his dream above all else, depsite how weak he might be. However, before he could attack him, Shigaraki managed to defeat Re-Destro, ending the battle against the Army.

During the Paranormal Liberation Front arc, Spinner is made co-commander of a unit together with Mr. Compress. He doesn't really do much during the battle against the heroes, however, mostly spending time on Gigantomachia's back and discussing the situation with his League of Villains allies. At the end of the arc, however, he is the one to reach and wake Shigaraki up, starting the final phase of the fight and allowing for him and some of his allies to escape alive, tho at the cost of Mr. Compress being captured by the heroes. Later on, Iguchi regroups with Shigaraki and the escapee villains from Tartarus, pointing out that he knew All For One was in control of him and worrying if he would be able to see his friend again, to which All For One replied that he had nothing to worry about, as his main concern was Shigaraki's well being and future. What will happen to Spinner in the upcoming arc is still a mystery tho.

Spinner is a fun character, and one that is made way more sympathetic than I expected, with his whole motivation going from blind fanatism in an attempt to find purpose to wanting nothing more than to do his best in helping his friend to reach his dream, assisting with however much he can, which is a very noble and interesting goal. He was always sort of a joke character, with how weak he was shown to be and how pathetic his quirk was in comparisson to everyone else in the League, but I gues that is what ultimately gives him his goals. I really hope Spinner gets some form of major role in this upcoming arc. Also, I have no clue why his codename is Spinner, that was always weird to me.

I ended up not doing a multi-part build for Spinner, mostly because there wouldn't be much difference between them. This one represents him currently, while him early on in the series would be, like, 1 PL weaker or so. Kind of a shame he didn't get any quirk upgrades or anything.

Outfits: Spinner's villain outfit is heavily inspired by Stain's, with swords strapped on his back, a tattered red scarf, a headband, a white mask with long flowing straps, two belts and a pair of weapon pockets on his legs (after all, what is a 90's inspired costume without multiple puches and belts?) He wears a spotted blue and white vest and a pair of large black pants, paired with a pair of white and black knee-high combat boots. It's pretty edgy, but I really dig it!

Spinner is visually a more obvious Ninja Turtles reference, looking almost like Mondo Gecko decided to get serious into ninja training. Overall his general uselessness has been played up to make him more sympathetic, and he's probably one of the least villainous bad guys in the series.

There's not much that I can add about Spinner, since I agree with everything that you guys have said about him, other than I also ended up liking him more than I expected, and good build!
One thing that I find amusing, but also pretty cool, is that because of the part that you mentioned, Solar, where Shigaraki tells Spinner to "shut up and drive," he basically became the League's wheelman. He was even the one driving Nine's transport in Heroes Rising. Looking forward to the next one!

Motivation: To Create a Just Society: Sako Atsuhiro is, in fact, the great grandson of the legendary thief Harima Oji, who stole from heroes he deemed false, unjust or self-righteous. Like his great grandfather, Mr. Compress wants to create a world of real heroes and use his talents to take down the false heroics of Japanese hero society.

Prosthetic Arm: After losing his left arm in the League of Villains’ first encounter with Overhaul, Mr. Compress replaced it with a fully robotic prosthetic. Though he can use it to manipulate objects normally with it with seemingly no difficulty, he cannot use his quirk through it, thus must touch his target with his right hand for it to have effect.

36 Abilities, 200 Powers, 5 Advantages, 25 Skills, 23 Defenses = 291 Character Points

About: Another long time member of the League of Villains, Mr. Compress is an enigmatic former stage magician and sleight of hand expert who loves showmanship and finesse. His skills pair incredibly well with his quirk, Compress, which allows him to turn anything he touches into a small blue marble, which he can undo at will, a power he uses to capture enemies or for more strategic uses, like quickly releasing objects to serve as barriers or to dig through the earth by turning portions of it into marbles.

Secretly, Mr. Compress is Sako Atsuhiko, the great-great-grandson of Harima Oji, the villain known as the Peerless Thief, who used his skills to steal from rich heroes and give it back to civilians as an act of rebelion against the unfairness of hero society. What drove Mr. Compress to join the League was seemingly those same ideals, wanting to assist in dismanteling hero society together with the rest of the group and honor his ancestor.

After joining the League after the capture of Stain, Mr. Compress first appears in the Forest Training arc, where he used of his stealth, guile and quirk to sneak up on Class 1-A and capture both Bakugo and Tokoyami, claiming that they would be more fit as villains than as heroes, and quickly runs away as Todoroki tries to take him down. As he reunites with the rest of the villains, Midoriya, Todoroki and Shoji arrive in a surprise attack to try to rescue their friends, delivering a powerful attack on Mr. Compress as they arive, with Shoji taking the opportunity to pick Atsuhiko's pockets and retrieve the marbles he thought contained Tokoyami and Bakugo, but Mr. Compress reveals that he had swapped them with pieces of ice from Todoroki's earlier attack that he had compressed, with the marbles that really contained their friends being actually hidden inside his mouth.

As the villains start their escape through Kurogiri's Warp Gate, Aoyama suddently reveals himself and shoots his Navel Laser on Mr. Compress, forcing him to spit out the marbles. In a desperate attempt to secure their kidnapped victims, Dabi tells Mr. Compress to undo his quirk, releasing both of the boys, and grabs onto Bakugo, managing to secure at least one of their victims before disappearing. During the Hideout Raid, as Bakugo starts his escape assisted by the U.A. students, Mr. Compress attempts to recapture him through being shot into the air via Magne's Moonlight Flit Cannon, but he ends up being intercepted by Mt. Lady and gets knocked out, having to be rescued by All For One later, who warps the rest of the LEague to safety.

During the Shie Hassaikai arc, on the League's first confrontation with Overhaul, after nhe uses his quirk to kill Magne, Mr. Compress attempts to use his quirk to capture Overhaul, but his attack is intercepted by one of the Shie Hassaikai's members, who uses their quirk blocking bullets on Mr. Compress and causes his quirk not to activate. In response, Overhaul uses his quirk to destroy Mr. Compress' left arm, pissing off the League even more and forcing him to replace it with a robotic prosthetic later on. At the end of the arc, Mr. Compress is one of the villains to help in the fight against Snatch, being the oone to deliver the final strike against him as a sneak attack while Dabi was distracting him, trapping the hero inside of a marble. He then throws rocks he had compressed onto the road with his quirk, forcing the van that was transporting Overhaul to crash and stop. He and Shigaraki get their revenge on Overhaul, each using their quirk to remove one arm from him, turning him powerless, and allowing them to retrieve the quirk removing bullets before escaping.

His next appearance is during the Meta Liberation Army arc, where after training with Gigantomachia together with the rest of the League, where he helps Spinner fight against Trumpet and his followers by holding off their numbers while Spinner chased off against Trumpet himself, thought their numbers and strength proved too great for Compress, who then had to retreat, attempting to buy time until Gigantomachia woke up. Aty the end of the arc, when the League and the Meta Liberation Army merge into the Meta Liberation Front, Mr. Compress is named Co-Commander of a regiment together with Spinner.

During the Meta Liberation Front arc, Mr. Compress is saved by Twice's duplicate in the beginning of the arc, when he and Toga were being attacked by a pro hero, only to learn that Twice had just been killed, his clone turning to sludge. As this drives Toga into a rage, Mr. Compress tries to stop her, but fails to convince her. When Gigantomachia joins the fight, Mr. Compress is one of the first to join up with him, spending most of the arc riding on his back with his allies and using him to rescuing Toga from the heroes.

When Best Jeanist takes down Gigantomachia, Mr. Compress ends up being captured by his quirk as well. In a final attempt to allow his friends to escape, Compress sacrifices himself by turning part of his ribs into a marble, allowing him to escpae his restraints and compress Spinner, chucking him towards Shigaraki and freeing him, which allowed Spinner to awaken Shigaraki who, with his power completely activated, managed to escape with Gigantomachia, but making it so Mr. Compress ended up being arrested by the heroes. Due to this, his future remains very much uncertain, though, honestly, I doubt he will be able too be freed anytime soon.

I really like Mr. Compress, there's something about stage magician heroes and villains that are really cool, especially when paired with his showmanship, incredible skill and unique power. Him sacrificing himself for his friends due to him believing in their conviction at the end is also something that made me like him a lot. Him being a stage magician sort of always made me wonder how the world of stage magic was affected by the rise of quirks and stuff, since I'd think magic loses a lot of its coolness when superpowers are a common thing.

Build notes, with his quirk, I ended up doing the thing where I overpower the hell out of it since it never fails and all that, which ended up being REALLY expensive due to the Increased Duration ranks. I considering giving him other powers to represent the opther stuff he does with his quirk, like creating impromptu barriers with debris he collected, but since he hasn't done that as much as I remembered him doing it, I decided that it would be better left as a power stunt. Man, this was a real awkward quirk to stat out, like I thought it would be, due to how it REALLY doesn't translate that well to M&M, so I'm not really satisfied with how it turned out.

Outfits: Mr. Compress wears a large stylish hat with a feather, paired with an orange suit with a black vest and pants, a pair of orange gloves and a pair of black and white tall boots. He wears a black balaclava over his face as well as white masks with differing designs, 2with a running joke with him being that the design on his mask changes every arc he shows up, and usually has some thematic connection to what is going down with the League. After losing his arm, he is also always seens with his robotic prosthetic arm.

Mr. Compress was probably my favorite villain of the League of Villains. I love the character design and concept, and his Quirk REALLY works well for a sleight of hand expert.

His Quirk always struck me as amazingly cool and very versatile. And frankly, it's only due to his general non-lethal attitude that he isn't much more dangerous. We saw that he can selectively choose to compress things. Normally he opts to compress the entire person, but if he wanted to he could just compress their HEAD, decapitating him. Everyone's fortunate he's not the violent type.

He's also got a great way to get around obstacles. There's a wall in the way? Compress a non-load-bearing part of it and you've got an instant door out. The tunneling example is a great showcase of this. Imagine if he put that talent to something like fire fighting? Compress several tons of water, get above a fire, toss the object over the fire, decompress it, instant downpour.

This would honestly be an amazing Quirk for a hero. Villain needs to be transported places? Have Mr. Compress compress them, transport them, and de-compress them at the prison, trial or whatever location they're being brought to. He's also someone that would reward Batman-style prep work and could actually justify a utility belt. He can literally have a pouch full of grenades, smoke bombs, CSI equipment and the like that he can bring out whenever he wants. Hell, he can literally carry around a helicopter or get away car in his pocket. Hell, he could have get away vehicles for every member of his team in his pocket.

He's also got an amazing ability to re-shape the battlefield. He can apparently have tons of mater compressed into those marbles, so he can throw up walls, boulders, anything.

And if he wanted to, he could revolutionize transportation work. Need a lot of food, raw materials or similar things brought somewhere? He can compress it, bring it where you want to go, and restore it.

It's a simple Quirk with so many applications and I love it.
