TM> Sorry, Skeleton 1 is long gone, but Skeleton 6 was in range so I just had you destroy that one.

Skeleton 3 and 5 are still in fighting range, 4 and 7 are at the far side of the room

Flynn just let me know that, for some reason, none of the skeletons had names.

And also a few of the players.

I turned on the nameplates and thought everybody could see the names. But this silly map has a second, hidden, option that needs to be selected to allow the players to see the names *facepalm*

This is even more strange as the players were allowed to edit the enemies by default, but not allowed to see their names. Odd decisions there.

Is it weird that I went to check the map expecting to see the Skeletons with names like Steve and Carl?

I find myself re-joining as Player (under settings) to check after I build things since I always forget something like this.

So I saw the sneak attack and just immediately thought "You can't sneak attack undead"...
To my surprise: According to the rules you can sneak attack anything in 5E.

Now to figure out how I can abuse this in a new character ;~)

Yeah, coming from a 3.0 and 3.5 background I always thought that was odd in 5E that most things could be sneak attacked. It was an adjustment to my thinking that a rogue (who typically isn't wielding the heaviest hitting weapons) can find a 'weak spot' if their opponent is distracted by another foe or disadvantaged in some way.

While I understand that limenof thought, to me the sneak attack was more about the techique used for the attack. Kind of like a fencer finding the weak point in an opponent's defenses.

Fair enough to say that those last two skeletons didn't stand a chance against the team, so I'm just going to move the combat to the end here with you guys having destroyed them. Feel free to describe their destruction.

Is the small door nearer one of the lanterns, the table or the patch of brown on the south wall?

Also, are the things that light this room normal oil lanterns?

It's the patch of brown at the bottom.
Just an FYI I'm updating the battlemap as you guys get further in.

As for the lighting the map has it listed as torches, but the module itself never mentions lighting at all. It goes into exacting detail about all of the treasure that every NPC in the entire game has, where it is hidden, and how to get your hands onit. But nothing on lighting ;~)
For the sake of my sanity I'll say it's a type of oil lantern, cheaper grade oil than you guys are using.

Could Aldan tell if the door opened into the meeting room or back into the secret room? If it opens into the meeting room it could be spiked/jammed.

All evidence points to it opening into the meeting room.

Well, the roll is good but I am just not sure how quiet hammering a spike into a wall can be
